The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of sexual messages in the media on adolescents' attitudes and behaviors toward sex. Subjects of this study consisted of 488 high school students in Cheong-ju City. The findings of this study were as follows; First, sexual messages in the media influenced-adolescents' attitudes toward sex. The more exposure to sexual messages adolescents had more liberal and permissive attitude toward sex. Secondly, sexual messages in the media also effected adolescents' behaviors toward sex, as well. The less sexual messages that they were exposed to, they displayed less sexual relations and behavior. In particular, the number of sexual materials in mass media, variety of sexual messages, and types of school were significant factors in predicting adolescents' sexual intercourse. The research suggested that sexual messages in the media definitely had an effect on adolescents' attitudes and behaviors toward sex. Therefore, it should be encouraged to take advantage of the television V chip and screening software for computers to reduce inappropriate access for adolescents.
Two phosphorylated proteins having molecular weights of 57kD and 72kD were detected from the slubilized membrane protein fraction of mating type a cells of Rhodosporidium toruloides which belongs to heterobasidiomycetous yeast. The phosphorylation of the protein was inhibited by a sexual pheromone, Rhodotorucine A (Rh. A), which is secreted from mating type a cells. On the other hand, counterpart mating type A cells and M-39 strain which is a styerile mutant derived from a cells, had also the same two phosphorylated proteins, However, the phosphorylation of the protein from A cells, and M-39 strain were not inhibited by the Rh. A. It suggests that inhibition of the phosphorylation reaction by the Rh. A in mating type a cells is a mating-type-specific reaction that relate to transduction mechanism of sexual pheromone signaling.
As an initial step toward the improvement of sexual education in middle school students, a survey on sexual attitudes and experience was done in Kangwon - Do, Korea. Questionnaires consisted of 68 items distributed to 240 boys and 240 girls from November 1 to December 20, 1996. The understanding of masturbation was higher in boys than in girls (p = 0.0000). 87.2% of the subjects wished meetings with the opposite sex. During the meeting with the opposite sex, 12.9% of the students enjoyed drinking or smoking, 8.8% had intercourse. Boys(91.9%) watched pornography or porno-video more than girls(40.5%)(p=0.0000). 83.3% of the girls thought that both males and females should keep their virginity untill marriage. As for dealing with sexual violence, 14 suffered by him or herself whill 7 students discussed it with a friend. There was a significant difference in the sources of information between boys and girls(p= 0.000), 36.0% had learned from an official sexual education source, usually from school nurses (74.0%). 92.6% of the students thought that sexual education was necessary. They believed that the appropriate person for sexual education was from a school nurse (53.1%) or from parents (19.5%). According to the above results, the following might be suggested: Realistic and future-directed sexual education material should be developed : Education programs to improve students insight and control sexual desire should be prepared: a systematic approach to activate the role of school nurse in sexual education should be prepared.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop a sexual abuse prevention education program for elementary school students. Methods: Orem's Self-Care Theory (1995) and Seels & Richey's ADDIE model (1994) for developing learning materials were applied to develop this program Results: The development progress of the program consisted of 5 distinct phases: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The contents was classified into 6 categories: the definition of sexual abuse, how to deal with sexual abuse, the situational reaction, areas with a high risk for sexual abuse, related organizations, and a wrap-up quiz. The app was easily accessible for elementary school students. Conclusion: A sexual abuse prevention program using a hybrid app may be an effective way to reach elementary students, and further research for children of various ages is required.
In a summer study during May to July, involving 12 young Murrah buffalo bulls at forty months of average age, the effects of multiple shower vs single shower body cooling and vitamin A, D and E supplementation on the sexual behaviour, semen quality and freezability were investigated. The animals were divided into two groups (6 animals in each group) and housed in a half-walled shed with proper spacing, the feeding management being identical. The bulls in the control group were given a single shower at 1000 h, whereas the experimental bulls were given four showers at 10,12,14 and 16 h. In addition, the experimental bulls were given vitamin A, D and E injections at fifteen day intervals. The sexual behaviour of bulls was observed in terms of reaction time, sexual aggressiveness and ejaculatory thrust. Semen quality of all the bulls was assessed in terms of volume, mass activity, live-dead sperm and sperm concentration, sperm motility and morphology, and acrosomal abnormality. The sexual behaviour did not vary significantly between the groups, whereas semen quality differed significantly for volume, per cent live sperms, total sperms per ejaculate and total live sperm per ejaculate between groups. It can be concluded that sexual behaviour was not influenced by the thermal comfort treatment coupled with periodic vitamin A, D and E injections. But the treatments improved most of the seminal traits in the experimental group of bulls. However, benefit of treatment was not reflected in the freezability traits of the semen.
The purpose of this study as a research of experience of sexual offenders who are in confinement in prisons and forensic facilities is to theoretically investigate fundamental structures of their experiences and to practically construct basic data to present intervention programs of sexual offenders. This study was conducted by hermeneutical and phenomenological methods invoked of the analytic framework of Van-Manen (1990) about seven sexual offenders. The data were collected through in-depth interviews, and the results of the interpretation are shown as perception that they were victims of public opinion, the mark of Cain, loss of opportunity of examination caused by show window, collective differentiation through distinction, expression of metaphysical being that wants to slip out of the skin, counterplot of scientific management techniques, undifferentiation from the Imaginary, sexual acts shown as inverted communication, discovering dominant domain as forming reaction to being controlled, not being free from capitalistic attributes in which even children's sex is commercialized, distortion in socialization of sexual identity, paternity stamped as embodiment of suppressed desire, recovery of lost virginity of mother through children, and family as a name broken to pieces.

Sex does not mean simply the physical behaviors related to man and woman, rather the sexuality needed socializing process toward total personality. It is believed that religion or social norms on sex, limit talking about sex openly. But children have, their own sexual thinking and want to know why and how. This survey was conducted to find out the need in sex education of primary school students and their parents in Seoul area, comparing students'sexual knowledge, attitude, and behavior to their parents', in October 1989. Total 400 students and their parents who are attending two primary school in Seoul, were given the questionnaires, and 395 students' and 310 parents', respectively, were finally analyzed. The following results were obtained. 1. The mean of 11 questions In asking sexual knowledge of students was 6.18, and showed no difference between boys and girls. But the higher grade, the higher score. 2. The positive attitudes on marriage and sex roles were showed, but negative on physical changes with puberty, which was same to the parents' reaction. 3. Moro than three-forths of students wanted to take sex education class, and one-third of them believed that it should be conducted by school nurses. This was accorded with their parents. 4. The sexual knowledge degree and attitudes of parents went proportionately to their higher educational background. Protestants reacted more negatively to the given sexual terms. No significant difference was made among the age groups of them. As stated above. the degree of sexual knowledge and attitudes are movable accordingly to their children's sexual thinking and need. Therefore, it is strongly recommended that sex education In the primary schools should be conducted systematically involving parents, especially mothers. And it is suggested that school nurses undertake their responsibilities as the sex educators.
