  • According to the rapid growth of high speed and precise industry the application of synchronous motor has been increased. In the application fields, the fast dynamic response is of prime importance. In particular, since the PMSM has characteristics of high speed, high thrust, it has used in high-performance servo drive. From these reasons, it is recently used for high precise position control, and machine tool. In this paper, using the state observer, robust vector position control method for the purpose of improving the system performance deterioration caused by parameter variations is proposed.

  • This paper presents a study on successive approximation measurement of mechanical parameters for motor control system. At the first step of servo system installation, control system gain tuning is troublesome work. Recently, autotuning method of motion controller for motor drive system is based on parameter measurement and identification. On the case of first order mechanical system (mechanical parameters are modified by simple inertia and friction), it is necessary for good response to get the accurate measurement or identification of the mechanical parameters . In this paper, novel method applies the binary successive approximation measurement to the inertia and friction coefficient. Computer simulation and experiment for the proposed method will show verification of accuracy and usefulness.

  • In this paper, a new control for the robust position control of a brushless direct drive(BLDD) motor using fuzzy logic controller(FLC) is presented. The integral-proportional(IP) position with speed FLC is employed to obtain the robust BLDD motor system, which is approximately linearized using the field-orientation method for an AC servo. The speed FLC for a BLDD motor has the two rule tables. One is the coarse rule table for the transient state and another is the fine rule table for the steady state. The overall system is controlled by using the microprossor in IBMPC 486 and the the robustness is also obtained.

  • 광 디스크의 용량을 증가시기키 위해선, 레이저 다이오드의 단파장화와 렌즈의 개구수 증가가 수년 동안 시도되어왔다. 불행히도 이러한 노력들은 디스크 틸트(tilt)로 인해 야기되는 코마(coma) 수차로 인한 부작용을 유발하였다. 이런 문제를 해결하기 위해, 램(random access memory, RAM) 디스크의 경우 몇 가지 검출과 보상 방법이 제안되었다. 그러나, 롬(read only memory, ROM) 디스크의 경우 아직까지 뚜렷한 해결책이 제시되지 않고 있다. 본 논문에서는 8분할 광 검출기에 의해 생성되는 차동 위상 검출(differential phase detection, DPD) 신호를 이용한 고밀도 롬 디스크에서 래디얼(radial) 틸트를 검출하는 방법을 제안한다. 3축 렌즈 구동형 액츄에이터(actuator)를 이용하여 개발한 래디얼 틸트 서보로 검출된 래디얼 틸트를 보상한다. 액츄에이터의 회전이 트래킹(tracking) 서보(servo)에 미치는 영향을 소개한다. 끝으로 제안된 방법의 유용성을 고밀도 롬 드라이브에 대한 실험을 통해 검증한다.

  • Driving mechanism, the central part of a robot, was designed in this study. Power for the motive drive was acquired by directly connecting the motor shaft in worm shape of the low-end DC motor, car window motor, to a decelerator. The decelerator consists of a worm gear to receive power from the motor shaft, a pinion gear to be connected in line with the worm gear, and an output shaft to be engaged to the pinion gear. Motion driving is achieved by the power from the motor shaft with the designed gears, transferred to the deceleration mechanism and to the output gear.

  • Hydraulic systems have severe nonlinearity inherently compared to other systems like electric control systems. Hence, precise modeling and analysis of the hydraulic control systems are not easy. In this study, the control performance of a hydraulic control system with a feedback linearization compensator and a disturbance observer was analyzed through experiments and numerical simulations. This study mainly focuses on the quantitative investigation of sensitivity on system uncertainties in the hydraulic control system. First, the sensitivity on the system uncertainty of the hydraulic control system with a Feedback Linearization - State Feedback Controller (FL-SFC) was quantitatively analyzed. In addition, the efficacy of a disturbance observer coupled with the FL-SFC for the hydraulic control system was verified in terms of overcoming the control performances deterioration owing to system uncertainty.

  • In light of the environmental challenges, energy-saving strategies are currently under investigation in the construction industry. This paper focuses on the energy-saving method used in the hydraulic system based on independent metering (IM) technologies, which can overcome the lost energy at the main control valve of the conventional electrohydraulic servo system. By scientifically arranging the proportional valves, the IM system can individually control the flow rate of the inlet and the outlet ports of the actuators. In addition, the IMV system can be used to effectively regenerate energy under different operating modes, thereby saving more energy than conventional hydraulic systems. Therefore, the IMV system has a great potential to improve the energy efficiency of hydraulic machinery. The overall IMV system, including the configuration, proportional valve, operation mode, and the control strategy is introduced via state-of-the-art hydraulic technologies. Finally, the challenges of IM systems are discussed to provide researchers with directions for future development.

  • The simple adaptive control(SAC) method has attracted attention for interest of the simple structure of its adaptive controller. We establish that the introduction of output derivative action to the original SAC system definitely improves the response characteristic of the control system. The effect of such an introduction is confirmed through experimental results by applying the method to a servo control system using a direct drive (DD) motor.

  • Various types of vibration are transmitted to operators of agricultural tractors while working in the field. Most harmful vibration to human body is ride vibrations with low frequency ranging from 1 to 10 Hz, caused by rough terrain. These ride vibration has vertical and rotational components. This study was conducted to develop an active seat suspension system with two degrees of freedoms, enabling effectively reduce vibrations in vertical and pitch motions. Therefore, a mechanism for the active seat suspension was developed, and an electro-hydraulic servo system and a controller to drive the active seat suspension system were also developed in this study. A simulation model was developed to evaluate how the active seat suspension system effectively reduce the vibrations transmitted to the base of seat. Active seat suspension was optimized to enhance the performance using the developed simulation model. The performance of the seat suspension system was evaluated according to the test codes described in EEC78/764 in order to investigate the feasibility of application to agricultural tractors. The result showed that the developed active seat suspension system could reduce the magnitude of vertical vibration up to 80% for the input vibrations according to the test codes described in EEC78/764. The system could reduce the rotational displacement of ${\pm}\;2.5$ degrees up to 50% for the pitch vibration on the average in the frequency range of 1 to 2 Hz.
