Judgment Gap Analysis between Service Provider and Consumer for Service Design

  • Objective: The aim of this paper is to introduce a method that can measure and analyze the judgment gaps between service providers and customers. Background: It is important to understand the good service that service providers and customers are thinking. If there is judgment gap between service providers and customers, it would cause an unsatisfactory service. The judgment gap should be thoroughly investigated for a good service design. Method: Lens model is a human decision making model that was proposed by Brunswick(1952). This study indicates whether the Lens model can be applied to analyze judgment gaps between service providers and customers. As a case study, a library lending service was selected. 5 librarians and 15 customers participated in the experiment that investigates their judgments on a good service. The obtained data were analyzed by a modified lens model. Results: Cue weighting policies of consumers and service providers were similar, except that consumers gave higher weight on tangibility than service providers. Service providers and consumers had a good knowledge on the service quality, but they could not well apply the knowledge to judge it. Conclusion: The lens model may be used to analyze judgment gaps between service providers and consumers in the other service areas. The decision cues that were used in this study can be changed, depending on the characteristics of the target service. Application: The method that is proposed in this study may help to investigate and analyze both consumers' and service providers' judgments on a variety of services.

  • Lately, influence of information rises and interest about satisfaction estimation of information providing service is risin. According to rapid change in information environment, information-providing service is being changed in various form, in which center development is made in relation to the effort for customer satisfaction intended to enhance user's satisfaction level through providing more convenient and higher service centered on information service user rather than information service provider. Organizations providing information service is also changing their service from traditional one centered on service provider to that for user's satisfaction and service quality, and evaluation of information service quality and measurement of user's satisfaction as the result of using information service are regarded important. In this respect, it is needed to measure user's satisfaction level for environmental factors of information service and analyze what kind of influence they have to enhance user's satisfaction level of information service. Also function and efficiency of information offer service are important. Therefore, interest for satisfaction survey to heighten contents satisfaction of information-providing service, service satisfaction, satisfaction of user of system satisfaction is increased. In this paper, we propose a model of the user satisfaction index for information-providing services and present the user satisfaction index is measured to the model. Also we this study suggest qualitative improvements of information-providing service required for change to user-centric information-providing service through measuring user satisfaction index of ITFIND system and schemes to improve information quality

  • 본 논문에서는 응용서비스 제공자가 망사업자의 망을 이용하여 응용서비스를 제공하고 망사업자에게 사용대가를 지불하는 경우를 다루었다. 우리는 Stackelberg 게임을 이용하여 두 사업자간의 계약(contract)설계 문제를 정형화하였고 이 게임의 균형점 (equilbrium)이 유일하다는 것을 보였고 또 이 균형점이 망사업자의 위험선호도에 따라서 어떻게 바뀌는지를 고찰하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 Internet Service Provider(이하 ISP)의 네트워크에 위험이 발생할 경우 위험의 출현으로 인한 ISP의 자산손실을 추정하는 방법을 제안한다. ISP의 네트워크를 구성하는 자산들의 가치를 서비스 측면에서 분석하고, 개별 자산이 생산하는 서비스 가치를 근사할 수 있는 방법론을 제시함으로써 네트워크의 장애로 인한 손실액을 추정 가능함을 보인다. 또한, 네트워크의 부하 분산, 우회 경로 및 백업 시스템 등 서비스 연속성을 확보를 위한 잉여 설계가 있을 경우, 자산가치 특성함수를 사용한 손실액 추정모델을 제안한다.

특수유형 OSP(Online Service Provider)의 대용량 데이터베이스 포렌식 분석 방안 연구

  • 다수의 사람과 파일을 공유할 수 있는 웹하드 서비스의 이점을 이용하여 각종 불법복제물 등의 업로드를 유도하고 다운로드를 통해 이득을 취하는 특수유형의 OSP(Online Service Provider, 온라인 서비스 제공자)들이 출현하게 되었다. 이런 범죄가 일어나는 업체의 데이터베이스에는 모든 이용자들의 관련 기록을 담고 있어 헤비업로더의 활동내역뿐만 아니라 업체측의 방조혐의 등의 증거를 추출할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 특수유행 OSP들의 대용량 데이터베이스를 신속하고 정확하게 무결성을 유지하며 데이터베이스의 데이터를 수집할 수 있는 방법에 대해 연구해보고, 수집한 데이터 또한 신속하게 분석하는 방법을 제안하였다.

An Exploratory Study on the Cloud Computing Services: Issues and Suggestion for The Success

  • There is a growing interest for 'Cloud computing' to cut costs, and help the users focus on their core business instead of being impeded by IT obstacles. As it became IT version 3.0 which represents the era of cloud services and the dominance of a new kind of IT service provider, cloud service providers (CSPs)' role is more critical as a trusted IT advisor to include cloud migration and integration expertise. However, previous literatures related to cloud computing service have mainly analyzed from customers, although it is hard for customers to totally understand the complex and diverse cloud ecosystem. Therefore, it is an urgent task to mitigate the inhibitory factors in providing the cloud services for activating cloud industry. This study, an exploratory research based on interviews, has derived factors of promoting and hindering the activation of cloud computing from the provider's perspective, and has analyzed a sequence of cause and effect for each factor. For this, the casual loop diagram was developed to deduce key issues, and propose an alternative. The results of this study are expected to help activate 'Cloud computing' in Korea by minimizing the potential negative effects of activating 'Cloud computing' industry.

Antecedents and Consequences of Cyberloafing in Service Provider Industries: Industrial Revolution 4.0 and Society 5.0

  • Cyberloafing is activity deviation at the workplace where employees intentionally avoid doing their job during working hours that results in a decrease in productivity. Particularly in the context of this study, cyberloafing activity is the usage of the Internet while working. Yet, studies on the antecedents and consequences of cyberloafing in the context of industrial revolution 4.0 and society 5.0 have not been conducted. This research used a purposive convenient sampling of 280 employees in the business services branches in Indonesia, particularly the representative business service branches located in some cities and regencies, including Yogyakarta City, Sleman Regency, and Bantul Regency (Special Region of Yogyakarta) and its surroundings. The results show 3 antecedents of cyberloafing and 1 consequence of cyberloafing which influence each other. Furthermore, these findings have filled the existing gaps regarding the antecedents and consequences of cyberloafing in service provider industries in the context of industrial revolution 4.0 and society 5.0. From the results of this research, it can be concluded that the five hypotheses proposed in this study are supported. The antecedents and consequences of cyberloafing have been tested and proven in this study as a contribution to science and technology.

인터넷불법게시물을 방임하는 인터넷서비스제공자의 형사책임 (Criminal liability of Internet Service Provider who leave illegal positing to take its own course)

  • 인터넷은 오늘날 3천 7백여명이 이용할 정도로 가장 거대하고 참여적인 표현촉진의 매체로 이용되고 있다. 인터넷은 사회구성원간의 집단적 의사소통을 가능하게 하여 건전한 여론형성과 민주주의 발전에 공헌을 하기도 하지만, 형법이 금지하고 있는 불법게시물에 의한 범죄행위를 대량으로 확산시키는 부정적인 모습도 가지고 있다. 인터넷상의 정보유포에 관여하는 행위자는 정보제공자, 이용자, 인터넷서비스제공자 등 3부류로 유형화 된다. 인터넷상에서 발생하는 불법게시물은 IP에 의하여 비롯되는데도 IP에 대한 형법적 규제는 무력하며 무의미하다. 수를 헤아리기 어려운 이용자와 표현의 자유와의 경계가 분명하지 않기 때문이다. 따라서 인터넷상의 불법게시물로 인한 위험방지를 위한 형사정책적 수단은 불법게시물을 저장하거나 접속을 매개해주는 ISP에 대한 규제가 효과적인 방법이다. 그럼에도 불구하고 ISP규제에 관한 법률은 미비한 실정이다. 신중한 입법론적 검토가 이루어져야 한다. 그 검토는 죄형법정주의의 적정성의 원칙과 명확성의 원칙에 충실하여야 한다.

선별급여 도입이 위암수술의 건강보험 진료비 및 진료행태에 미치는 영향 (Impact of Selective Health Benefit on Medical Expenditure and Provider Behavior: Case of Gastric Cancer Surgery)

  • Background: Selective health benefit was introduced for decreasing economic burden of patients. Medical devices with economic uncertainty have been covered as selective health benefit by National Health Insurance since December 2013. We aimed to analyze impact of selective health benefit to medical expenditure and provider behavior focused on electrosurgery (ultrasonic shears, electrothermal bipolar vessel sealers) for gastric cancer patients covered since December 2014. Methods: We used the National Health Insurance claims data of 2,698 patients underwent gastric cancer surgery between August 2014 and March 2015. Medical cost and patient sharing per inpatient day were analyzed to verify that covering electrosurgery increased medical expenditure and changed provider behavior from open surgery to endoscopic or laparoscopic surgery. Additionally, we analyzed the claim rate of medical device or goods relating gastric endoscopic and laparoscopic surgery. Results: Medical cost and patient sharing per inpatient day were increased after covering electosurgery as selective health benefit (39,724/1,421 won). However, there were no medical expenditure increases after adjusting claim of electosurgery and patient sharing was decreased 1,057 won especially. The coverage of selective health benefit did not increase the claim rate of medical device or goods related endoscopic or laparoscopic surgery, either. Conclusion: Covering electosurgery decreased patient economic burden and did not change of provider behavior. Expanding selective health benefit is needed to decrease economic burden of severe patients. Further study should evaluate the long term effect with accumulated data.

웹 서비스 적용을 위한 IoT 정보 수집 방법에 관한 연구 (A Study on Collection Method of IoT Information for The Adaptation of Web Services)

  • 사물인터넷은 4차 산업 전반에 적용할 수 있도록 다양한 환경 요구사항에 맞는 서비스 개발이 필요하다. 본 논문은 웹 서비스를 대상으로 공급자 중심 서비스 제공 환경에서 사용자 중심 서비스 제공 환경 구축을 위한 IoT Devices 정보 추출 방법을 제시한다. 사물인터넷 환경 기반 IoT Devices 정보를 활용하여 사용자에게 적합한 웹 서비스를 이용할 수 있도록 서비스 목록을 제공한다. 기존 서비스 환경은 제공자 서비스 정보를 활용하여 서비스 선정이 이루어지는 방법에 집중되어 사용자 중심의 서비스 검색 방법이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 전통적으로 제공되는 제공자 정보에 IoT Devices에서 추출된 정보를 추가하여 서비스 목록을 사용자에게 제공한다. IoT 정보 수집은 IoT Devices와 사용자간의 정보, Device 간의 이벤트 정보 등 컨텍스트 정보를 식별자를 통해 구분하여 정보를 생성한다. 본 논문에서 제안한 IoT 정보를 통해 사용자에게 필요한 서비스 목록 제시하여 사용자 중심 서비스 환경을 구축한다.
