A Study on Men's Suit Purchasing Behavior (Part I) -Focusing on Men in Their 20's∼40's- (남성 정장 구매행동에 관한 연구 (제1보) -20∼40대 남성을 중심으로-)

  • This study was attempted to examine male consumers'suit purchasing Behavior of subdivided groups according to apparel shopping orientation in men's suit purchasing and to suggest basic information applicable to marketing. The sample was taken from 705 men who were aged twenties through forties living in and suburbs. A total of 655 questionnaires were used in the final statistical analysis using factor analysis, reliability test, ANOVA, Duncan test, and X$^2$-test. The results of this study were as follows: 1. The dimensions of apparel shopping orientation were composed of economical, brand/store loyalty, fashion consciousness and convenience shopping orientation. 2. The dimensions of apparel store attributes were composed of atmosphere and service, convenient shopping, fashion and sale promotion, price, quality and reputation. 3. Three groups were classified after group analysis of four factors in male consumers'apparel shopping orientation: group focusing on convenience (47.2%), group focusing enjoyment of shopping(31.0%), and group focusing economic aspects(21.8%). Additionally differences of the three groups were examined according to importance of store attributes, use of information sources, purchasing Behavior, clothing evaluation criteria and demographic variables.

A Study on Changes and Distributions of Korean Fir in Sub-Alpine Zone (아고산 지역의 구상나무 분포 변화에 관한 연구)

  • This study was carried out to analysis change of distribution and habitat location environment of Korean Fir which is typically vulnerable species by the climate change in Mt. Jiri and Halla. Korean Fir was decreased 18% during 27 year since year 1981, Mt. Halla was 34% during 15 years since year 1988. In the same periods, Temperature change was increased from 8.56 to $9.36^{\circ}C$, from 11.2 to $12.1^{\circ}C$. Distribution changes by the elevation showed higher change ratio 1,400~1,600m in Mt. Jiri and 1,200~1,900m in Mt. Halla. Changes of Korean Fir each slope aspects was high $180{\sim}360^{\circ}$ in Mt. Jiri, $45^{\circ}$ in Mt. Halla. In slope was $30^{\circ}$ in Mt. Jiri and $20^{\circ}$ in Mt. Halla. Changes by reliefs was 12 in Mt. Jiri, 0 or 15 in Mt. Halla, and Sites of Korean Fir was convex slopes both of two areas. Changes by soils was in the good drainage textures.

  • Recently, food delivery apps are seeing rapid growth into a market worth 1 trillion won under a simple but unique business model of connecting nearby restaurants with consumers via smartphone. Though basic similarities with social commerce exists in aspects such as mail-order sales intermediaries, startups, types of services and market competition structure, food delivery apps resemble social commerce in many ways in that they use excessive marketing to secure market dominance, causing a spike in consumer complaints. If the excessive marketing and increase in customer complaints are not rectified, the food delivery app could also see rapid decline as it gradually grows distant from consumers, just like social commerce. Accordingly, this study will identify the factors consumers recognize as important for continuous use vis-a-vis social commerce and food delivery apps to perform an empirical analysis on what areas need improvement. After deriving the four upper factors of product, information system and service along with eight sub-factors by referring to existing literature, the areas with opportunity for improvement were derived through satisfaction level and relative importance evaluation. The results of this study present a strategic direction for maintaining customers of social commerce and food delivery apps.

  • This research deals with the study of the Arlington Public Library and present situations of public libraries providing Korean language materials services in the United States. The focus of this research is on aspects of the Arlington Public Library, Texas : collecting, classifying, Possessing. circulating, and managing the Korean language materials. In addition, this research includes the description of the current trends of Korean language services in public libraries around the US with literature review methods. This research would be a useful steppingstone when libraries in other countries begin services with Korean language materials, or when public libraries in Korea begin to provide foreign language services.

  • Phishing scans through wired telephones have been evolving into smissing and pharming. While we use wire or wireless telephones, text messages, e-mails, and online-banking conveniently, the ways of hacking and phishing attacks are getting developed and various. This paper investigates the various aspects of attacks depending on the kinds of phishing and suggests general prevention measures. In addition, the user-oriented practical preventive measures and government-driven long term measures are proposed in this paper. Technological developments, short or long term preventive measures proposed by the government, and continuous public relations could be solutions since in a short time, it could be difficult to eradicate phishing scams evolving continuously. Besides, the internet media as well as SNS are great helps in promoting the preventives against phishing and smissing. Finally this paper asserts that the newly developed service technology should be made carefully without security problems.

Maternal Knowledge of Childcare and Its Effects on Mother-Teacher Communication (어머니의 보육지식과 어머니-교사 의사소통과의 관계)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships between maternal knowledge of childcare and mother-teacher communication. The participants consisted of 240 mothers whose children were enrolled at seven childcare centers in Seoul. Respondents were asked to complete a series of questionnaires reporting the important aspects of their childcare, the frequency of mother-teacher communication, and individual characteristics. Information about childcare's structural and procedural characteristics were obtained through interviews with the directors of those centers. The results indicated that mothers only answered 45.5% of questions correctly, and reported a lack of knowledge about childcare services in their respective centers. In particular, mothers didn't have information about caregivers (e.g, education, year of job experience, license, etc). Actual maternal knowledge was significantly correlated with the length of time which mothers were associated with their childcare and the frequency of mother-teacher communication. In addition, there were significant differences in the maternal knowledge regarding childcare services according to mothers' educational level. The results of this study imply that effective parent education programs are needed for mothers who want to enroll their children in childcare centers.

The Study on the Actual Condition of Customer's Consumption and the Analysis of Market on Food Service Industry Category (외식산업의 유형에 따른 시장분석과 소비 기호성의 탐색적 연구 -스페셜러티(Speciality Coffee) 커피산업을 중심으로-)

  • This study was intended to analysis about quantity and quality aspects of speciality coffee industry in korea. All date was analysed by statistics package program spss 10.0. All market of coffee In korea, the market share of speciailty coffee have been maintained about 10 percent since it was analysed statically about coffee market in korea. The rest market is soluble coffee market. But by comparison with developed country case, korea's coffee market is being unbalanced between soluble coffee and speciality coffee market. This study was analyze actual consumer's consulnption styles of the speciality coffee as well as its industry. According to the qualitative analysis results from peter's model was analysed that made a high growth potentiality and profitability in the future. According to the quantitative analysis results, sampling unit's 87.6 percent made a recognize about the speciality coffee. Sensory evaluation results was researched that factors impacted on the overall speciality coffee quality was shown a significant diffrrence on the two dimension such as the body factor, acidity factor. This study has limit which can not represent overall recognition because of analysis based on limited data. It is thought that steady study should be continued hereafter through more systematic and reliable study method.

Current Status of Korean Premature Infant Care and its Prospective (한국 미숙아 관리의 현황과 전망)

  • Advances in neonatal care system and research have resulted in an increased survival rate among low birth weight infants in the industrialized countries. Recent Korean neonatal mortality and morbidity statistics, and current status of Korean neonatal intensive care facilities were reviewed here for the sake of future improvement and research. Morbidity statistics revealed that perinatal diseases accounted for 80% of the death of premature infants implying the possibility of its reduction by the vigorous prenatal care service in future.On the basis of extensive studies of nutritional support and growth rate of premature infants, commercial formulas for premature infants have been developed and various aspects of feeding techniques are standardized. However, problem of growth deficit of premature infants remains unsolved as medical problem. NICU specialists are challenged with the tasks of prenatal education or provision of care that minimizes the neurodevelopmental problems seen in preterm infants, various short-term outcome researches have been reported and those are reviewed here to promote research interest in the field of neonatal nursing. Systemic long-term outcome studies are also awaited in Korea for the formulation of welfare policy in future. Nursing science has to embrace all these interdisciplinary studies as their own research field in collaboration with neonatologist, nutritionist, rehabilitation therapist, social workers and teachers.

Quality Characteristics of Sulgidduk with Different Amount of Dried Steaming Chestnut Powder (찐밤 분말 첨가량을 달리한 설기떡의 품질특성)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the effective ratio of Sulgidduk to steaming chesnut powder. I measured the sensory and mechanical characteristics, moisture content and color values of Sulgidduk added by different amount 4 of types of steaming chestnut powder; 0% (Control-0 group), 1% (CP-1 group), 2% (CP-2 group), 3% (CP-3 group), 4% (CP-4 group). Moisture content of Sulgidduk with steaming chestnut powder ranged from 38.53% to 46.05%. The L-value and b-value of the color decreased with an increase in steaming chestnut powder; however, a-value of the color decreased with an increase in steaming chestnut powder. As a result of analysis the texture of Sulgidduk steaming chestnut powder, it's hardness, springiness was increased. According to the sensory evaluation, CP3 had the highest values in texture and overall acceptability. Based on the result, it's considered that the most desirable ratio is steaming chestnut powder CP3. The results of the study supported the benefits of steaming chestnut powder supplementation in Sulgidduk in the aspects of taste and functionality. The degree of further increase in Sulgidduk with steaming chestnut powder without causing an adverse quality effect, remain for future study.

Key Factors to be Considered for Making Union Digital Centers (UDCs) Sustainable in Bangladesh

  • In this era of information and communication technology (ICT), efficient and cost effective public services delivery had become highly expected by the citizen in every country. In developed countries, digitally enabled public services were established in recent years while the developing countries like Bangladesh were trying to establish this advancement. The UNDP, USAID and the Government of Bangladesh launched the Access to Information (A2I) programme to improve the services delivery to reach at the doorsteps of citizen. Under this umbrella, Union Digital Centers (UDCs) were launched in 2009 at every Union of Bangladesh to reduce the "Digital Divide" in public service delivery. Thus, it had become the concern nowadays to make this initiative sustainable for a long run, this study focused to find out some key factor to be considered for making them sustainable in Bangladesh. It explored the previous researches related to these centers and same categories of institutions in other countries where the researchers argued about some issues in different aspects. Based on their findings and discussions, this study tried to analyze the key issues influencing the sustainability factors. To analyze the factors for sustainability, it addressed the financial, investment, business development and publicity, competencies of entrepreneurs, community acceptance and gender issues, institutionalization and physical infrastructure concerned with UDCs. The Government agencies, policy makers, researchers could be consider those recommendations for developing the strategies for sustaining the operations of UDCs in Bangladesh.
