The performance demonstration round robin test was conducted to quantify the capability of ultrasonic inspection for in-service and to address some aspects of reliability for nondestructive evaluation. The fifteen inspection teams who employed procedures that met or exceeded ASME Sec. XI code requirements detected the piping of nuclear power plant with various cracks to evaluate the capability of detection. With data from PD-RR test, the performance of ultrasonic nondestructive inspection could be assessed using probability of length and depth sizing of cracks.

Most of scheduling methods in the Grid only consider one special attribute of the resource or one aspect of QoS (Quality of Service) of the job. In this paper, we focus on the problem that how to consider two aspects simultaneously. Based on the requirements of the jobs and the attributes of the resources, jobs are categorized into three kinds: CPU-overload, memory-overload, and bandwidth-overload jobs. One job may belong to different kinds according to different attributes. We schedule the jobs in different categories in different orders, and then propose a scheduling method-MTS (multiple attributes scheduling method) to schedule Grid resources. Based on the comparisons between our method, Min-min, ASJS (Adaptive Scoring Job Scheduling), and MRS (Multi-dimensional Scheduling) show: (1) MTS reduces the execution time more than 15% to other methods, (2) MTS improves the number of the finished jobs before the deadlines of the jobs, and (3) MTS enhances the file size of transmitted files (input files and output files) and improves the number of the instructions of the finished jobs.

This study multilaterally explores South Korean YouTuber Winter Library's book-related contents uploaded on one's channel. As science and technology have developed, now the ordinary people can produce their videos and share them online. YouTube has been the most popular video storage service, and many Koreans use and enjoy it as well. This study investigates book-related contents produced by YouTuber user Winter Library, often called BookTuber (Book plus YouTuber). More specifically, it analyzes Winter Library's various contents by 1) Components of YouTube Channel 2) Contents of Components 3) Components that help to increase reading rates. This study is contributing as it focuses on book, which is not so common topic in YouTube. As a result, the study discovers unique aspects of YouTube contents, and also explores the book-related industry in South Korea. This YouTube channel could be functional for increasing reading rates, especially among adults.

Vendor-managed inventory(VMI) is a supply chain strategy to improve the inventory turnover and customer service in supply chain management. Unfortunately, many VMI programs fail because they simply transfer the transactional aspects of placing replenishment orders from customer to vendor. In fact, such VMI programs often degrade supply chain performance because vendors lack capability to plan the VMI operations effectively in an integrated way under the dynamic, complex, and stochastic VMI supply chain environment. This paper presents a decision support system, termed DSSV, for VMI in the retail supply chain. DSSV supports the market forecasting, vendor's production planning, retailer's inventory replenishment planning, vehicle routing, determination of the system operating parameter values, retailer's purchase price decision, and what-if analysis. The potential benefits of DSSV include the provision of guidance, solution, and simulation environment for enterprises to reduce risks for their VMI supply chain operations.

This paper investigates changing business transaction under the e-commerce environment and their implications on freight transport industry with some case studies. It shows that an efficient and reliable delivery system is essential for e-commerce as business industries are faced with the stricter and more diversified demands of customer. In addition, many aspects of business practices such as small batch, customized production and just-in-time distribution in the e-commerce environment, in turn, bring about a number of changes in the volume and service patterns of freight transport. E-commerce requires longer transport distances and often higher delivery frequencies. It also entails to a certain extent a modal shift towards truck and air freight transport modes. On the one hand, the logistical requirements of e-commerce goods may stimulate greater complexity in existing supply chain management, causing higher costs. However it is true that the increased visibility of goods through more efficient information flow allows more efficient and effective transport management in the logistics system.

Wireless Body Area Networks (WBANs) deal with variety of healthcare services with diverse Quality of Service (QoS) requirements. However, QoS handling is a challenging problem in such networks. In general, QoS related problems can be addressed from different layers in the networking protocol suite. Design of an efficient QoS aware Medium Access Control (MAC) protocol can address this problem in MAC layer. This paper analyzes the QoS requirements of WBAN, identifies the requisites of QoS handling system, and outlines the trends that are being followed for its advancement with focus on QoS issues at MAC layer. We review some prior works, compare them, and analyze the current research concerned with problem of providing QoS in WBAN. We also explore some open issues and discuss them.

The trend toward globalization and competitive advantage is increasing the importance of international data communication . The more companies attempt to be globalized and competitive, the more critical the problems of the computer networks are. To improve computer networks in the business world, it is believed that the network shoud be approached from the viewpoint of service quality : we need to understand what network quality means to network users, those who use the network. The purpose of this study is to develop a dimension that captures the aspects of network quality that are important to network users. Many articles show that speed is very important factor in network systems. But the more important thing is that speed is just one of the factors contributing to network quality. It is suggested that a quality network meet nine dimensions : (1) speed (2) accessibility (3) connectivity (4) security (5) compatibility, (6) government restrictions (7) complexity (8) sustainability and (9) sharability.

Reasonable disaster prevention signs play an important role in guiding evacuation. Through the field investigation on disaster prevention signs in shelters and surrounding areas in Beijing, some problems were found in the using of sign system. Based on the principle of integrated design, evacuation and rescue requirements, it is necesssary to make further study on aspects such as, design of function, systematic consideration, humanization design, as well as the internationalization using. This paper presents an evaluation index system for disaster prevention signs. Such a system is very important for strengthening the independent guiding function of sign systems and improving evacuation efficiency. An effective connection could be realized between the internal environment of buildings, evacuation routes, and emergencey shelters.

The purposes of this study are to confirm the applicability of the unobtrusive evaluation to Korean libraries, to develop survey forms, check lists and evaluation criteria appropriate for Korean libraries, to analyze the relationship between the test variables and the performance level, to find out the causes of poor service if any, and to propose measures for improving the quality of reference services. The main results of the analyses are as follows : $\cdot$ The accuracy of answers was correlated to appropriateness of search process, way of providing answer, usage of language, approachability and use of second materials in the order named. That is, there was a strong correlation between accuracy and the variables related to librarian's behavior. $\cdot$ There was no statistically significant relationship between accuracy and the environmental aspects of reference department such as number of professional librarians, self-evaluation of reference collection, etc. $\cdot$ The main reasons for failing to give accurate answers were found to be weaknesses in understanding questions. developing search strategy logically and relating the querries to available information sources.
