Since the 2000s, mechanical parking lots have become an increasingly common solution to serious parking difficulties in urban areas. While safety regulations are in place, they can avert or minimize accidents only when drivers understand and comply with them, and so do not always prevent drivers from making mistakes. As a result, the number of serious accidents caused by driver errors continues to increase in proportion to the rapid increase in vehicles. Most of these accidents are caused by abnormal vehicle entry, despite the safeguards already in place. Therefore, in this thesis, we will study the vehicle entry prevention system and suggest how it can be made more effective in stopping or minimizing accidents.
Recently, the casualties of automobile traffic accidents are rapidly increasing, and serious accidents involving serious injury and death are increasing more than those of ordinary people. More than 70% of major accidents occur in drowsy driving. Therefore, in this paper, we studied the drowsiness prevention system to prevent large-scale disasters of traffic accidents. In this paper, we propose a real-time flicker recognition method for drowsy driving detection system and drowsy recognition according to the increase of carbon dioxide. The drowsy driving detection system applied the existing image detection and the deep running, and the carbon dioxide detection was developed based on the IoT. The drowsy prevention system using both of these techniques improved the accuracy compared to the existing products.
Background: Traffic accidents involving professional drivers have serious societal repercussions. Unique occupational stressors and health risks exacerbate the likelihood of traffic accidents among professional drivers. This study explores the association between presenteeism-impaired work performance due to working while unwell-and traffic accident risk among professional taxi drivers in Japan. Methods: A prospective cohort study was conducted from June 2022 to February 2023, involving taxi drivers from a single company in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan. Presenteeism was assessed using the Work Functioning Impairment Scale (WFun). Primary outcome involved the number of self-reported minor traffic accidents. The incidence rate ratio (IRR) of minor traffic accident occurrences was estimated using a Poisson regression analysis, adjusted for confounders including sex, age, and driving experience. Results: Of 838 targeted drivers, 435 were included in the analysis. Higher baseline work functioning impairment was associated with a significant trend of increasing IRR of minor traffic accidents (p for trend = 0.045). A dose-response relationship was seen between the degree of presenteeism and incidence rate of minor traffic accidents. Conclusion: Higher levels of presenteeism were associated with an increased risk of traffic accidents among taxi drivers. The findings underscore the need for socio-economic support and prioritized health management to mitigate traffic accident risk among professional drivers. This study highlights the importance of managing non-critical health issues alongside serious health conditions for safer driving practices among professional drivers in Japan.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the Correlation Analysis between Awareness of the Serious Disaster and Safety Consciousness of Construction Workers under the Act on the Punishment of Serious. A survey was conducted on construction workers, construction managers, and safety managers. The results of this study were as follows; The correlation analysis conducted among the three groups indicated a significant correlation, with safety managers demonstrating the highest correlation, followed by construction managers and construction workers, and all three groups exhibited a moderate correlation. The correlation analysis conducted for the entire group also revealed a significant correlation, and as the number of participants increased, higher correlation coefficients were observed. Furthermore, to ascertain the significance of the correlation coefficients, a comparison was made between the p-value and the significance level (α). Consequently, a p-value smaller than the significance level of 0.05 was obtained, leading to the rejection of the null hypothesis and the acceptance of the alternative hypothesis. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between the level of awareness of the serious Accidents Punishment Act and the level of Safety Consciousness of Construction. One limitation of this study is that it relied on a subjective indicator through a survey, which may introduce variability in the difficulty level of the questionnaire items.
The nation is turning into aging society, and safety accidents among elderly people are on the rise. When death roll caused by safety accidents was investigated, senior citizens who died from safety accidents outnumbered the other age groups who died for the same reason. The most common cause of death was traffic accidents, followed by suicide and a hurt from a fall, and Korea rated first among OECD member nations in death roll by traffic accidents. Aging brings a lot of physical changes to elderly people, and they are often likely to be involved in accidents such as a hurt from a fall due to degenerated sensory organs like hearing and eyesight and deteriorated motor skills. Unsafe social facilities also have them face a lot of accidents, including fracture and death, and such accidents take place even at home that is usually considered safe, or are triggered by things of daily use. As a result of comparing every age group's death roll by safety accidents, the number of senior citizens who died from safety accidents was far higher than that of the other age groups who died for the same reason in every accident field. In aging society, a sharp increase in the elderly population and ensuing safety accidents are expected to pose a serious threat to national economy, and diverse efforts should be put into tacking this problem. For instance, safety education should be provided to people in general including senior citizens on a regular basis, and more safety facilities should be prepared. Besides, safety equipment should be developed.
PSM(process safety management), introduced for the purpose of managing complex chemical processes, has contributed to the prevention of chemical accidents, but has recently revealed its limitations. Recently, major industrial accidents have increased, and in particular, Serious Industrial Accidents have increased rapidly in non-routine works since 2020. It is time for an effective PSM operation plan. This study examined that FRAM can be effectively used in the PSM operation process by using FRAM (Functional Resonance Analysis Method), a useful technique for understanding and predicting human error and accident occurrence processes by modeling nonlinear and complex interactions, to analyze accident cases that occurred in non-routine works, and to further analyze the process of performing general PSM non-routine works.

The Act on the Punishment of Serious Accidents to Prevent Large-scale Disasters, including Ferry Sewol and Taean Thermal Power Plant, passed the National Assembly on January 8, 2021, and has been in effect since January 27, 2022. However, the law, in which the representative of the headquarters is unlimitedly responsible for each worker's accident, is somewhat unreasonable at a time when a company owns dozens to hundreds of construction sites due to the nature of the construction industry. I agree with the purpose of enacting the law to reduce chronic serious accidents at construction sites, but it is necessary to carefully reconsider the implementation of the law in that punishment alone cannot achieve industrial safety. Previous studies focused on revising the Occupational Safety and Health Act, but there are few studies on the impact on the construction industry after the implementation of the Serious Accident Act. Therefore, this study attempts to derive problems related to the application of the Serious Accident Act and present improvement measures. To this end, after analyzing previous studies, SWOT analysis was performed by applying the Delphi method to derive strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. In addition, the results of two surveys of safety experts such as public institutions, academia, and companies were reflected, and its countermeasures were presented as follows. S/O strategy: establishing on-site execution capabilities of health and safety management system; W/O strategy: expanding legal and system execution checks; S/T strategy: establishing a risk response system; W/T strategy: expanding consulting by external specialized institutions

Construction activities are characterized as hazardous work. Therefore, it is very imperative to explore comprehensively fatal accidents and safety performance in both developed and developing countries. The goal of this study was to look at the reasons behind fatal accidents in HCMC, Vietnam's largest city. The survey sample consists of 91 fatal accident cases in total that occurred in construction sites during the years 1996-2005 and were reported to the Department of Labor-Invalids-Social Affairs in HCMC. The study was conducted by means of field surveys with relevant individuals working in construction sites and statistical analyses. The research resulted in failing to wear/use PPE as unsafe acts and in poor safety management procedures/methods in sites as insecurely working conditions behind serious accidents in the construction. The paper stresses that accidents tended to occur more in state-owned companies than in others and involved more with masonry/welding people and workers without labor contracts than with other workers.
