In chief complaint, cervical pain was most(32 cases, 94.1%), the others were low back pain(22 cases, 64.7 %), back pain(5 cases, 14.7 %), chest pain(5 cases, 14.7 %). 5. In treatment methods, acupuncture and physical therapy was most(33 cases, 97.1%), the others were Extract-med.(31 cases, 94.0%), electric-acupuncture(27 cases, 79.4%), Herb-med.(23 cases, 67.6%), Herb-acupuncture(l8 cases, 52.9%) and Taping therapy(15 cases, 44.1%). 6. • The purpose of this study was to review the limb apraxia. It includes the evaluation and neurophysiological aspects for limb apraxia. Limb apraxia comprised a wide spectrum of higher-order motor disorders that results from acquired brain disease affecting the performance of skilled and/or learned movements with the forelimbs and is a common sequela of left brain damage that consists of a deficit in performing gestures to verbal command or to imitation. There are two forms in limb apraxia; ideational apraxia and ideomotor apraxia. A assessment of limb apraxia typically includes pantomiming and imitation of transitive, intransitive, and meaningless gestures. Limb apraxia has been attributed to damage confined to the cerebral cortex, cortico-cortical connecting pathways, and basal ganglia.

  • Subclavian vein injuries occasionally occur as a sequela of penetrating trauma or vascular access, but have rarely been reported to occur after clavicle fracture. The subclavian vessels are mainly enclosed by the subclavius muscle, the first rib, and the costocoracoid ligament. Therefore, in such cases, subclavian vein injury is rare because of the strcutures surrounding the subclavian vessels. Nevertheless, subclavian vein injuries occasionally show thrombotic manifestations, and thrombosis of the upper limbs constitutes 1-4% of cases of total deep vein thrombosis. Furthermore, to the best of the authors' knowledge, although vessel injuries have been reported after clavicle or rib fractures and nerve injuries to regions such as the brachial plexus, no case involving delayed presentation of isolated subclavian vein stenosis after clavicle fracture due to blunt trauma has yet been reported.

Exogenous febrile disease(傷寒) is a pyrexia disease. Therefor this paper is focus on the pyrexia at Soyinin(少陰人) among DongYeuSuSebowon. Soyinin(少陰人) is consider that body water loss is more important than fever in pyrexia disease. And body water loss is happens easily at exothermic reaction (sweating, diarrhea) and sequela of Purgative Prescription(瀉下法), Inducing Diaphoresis(發汗法), Diuresis(利小便法).

  • Disorder of Extreme Stress, Not Otherwise Specified (DESNOS) is the proposed diagnosis that meets the severe, complex, and prolonged psychological sequela of victims with chronic traumatization (e.g., family violence, incest, and childhood sexual or physical abuse). The hallmarks of DESNOS are a multiplicity of symptoms (e.g., somatization, dissociation, and depression), pathological changes in relationships, identity disturbances, and a propensity to experience repeated harm and injury at the hands of oneself and others. DESNOS can be directly assessed by Structured Interview of Disorder of Extreme Stress (SIDES) and Self- Report Inventory of Disorder of Extreme Stress (SIDES-SR). The treatment of DESNOS should be phaseoriented and involve movement back and forth among three basic stages : 1) stabilization ; 2) trauma processing ; 3) reintegration.

  • A 3-year-old female Cocker Spaniel dog acutely developed hepatopathy following ingestion of root of Cycad (Cycas revoluta). Seven hours after the ingestion, she showed acute continuous nausea, vomiting, and marked depression and was presented to the local veterinary clinic. At physical evaluation, the dog showed moderate weakness, pale mucous membrane, jaundice, and dehydration. Serum biochemical analysis revealed elevated alanine aminotransferase and aspartate aminotransferase, and mild azotemia. The dog was treated with intravenous fluid, antibiotics, and hepatic protectants for 10 days and recovered without any sequela. Although the ingestion of Cycad in dogs is rare, it can be treated successfully with appropriate supportive therapy.
