This study investigated the effects and interrelationship on sensual behavior and wine information sources in selection attributes of wine. Selection attributes of wine were categorized into four variables: sensual behavior, recommend information, label information, and wine information. The study showed that for sensual behavior variable, "taste" was the most influential item as compared to "food harmony", "mood harmony" and "partner's choice". For recommendation information, label information and wine information, "specialist", "grape varieties" and "brand" had the most significant effects. The study performed factor analysis on sensual behavior and wine information sources. The cumulative variance was 74.197%, implying that all four variables incorporated appropriate items. In the reliability analysis, all four variables showed Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ values above 0.6. In the analysis of the causal relations using a structural model, the effects of customers' sensual behavior on wine information sources was further investigated. The model verified that taste, food harmony, mood harmony and partner's choice, which are items of sensual behavior, had significant impacts when choosing wine. Sensual behavior influenced all wine information sources, which customers utilize in decision-making. Among these sources, sensual behavior had the biggest effects on recommendation information, followed by wine information and label information.
The purpose of this study is to understand the importance of exterior environments and to identify the design guidelines for the therapeutic garden for cognitively impaired seniors with Alzheimer's disease and related dementias. The data was collected from 4 Adult Day Care Centers, 2 Nursing Homes, & 1 Assisted living in the U.S.A. from 2001 to 2002 by interview and the floor plan about the outdoor space. Although some may believe that patients with Alzheimer's disease and related disorders are unresponsive to environment, evidence shows that environments especially designed for cognitively impaired seniors can maintain or increase their level of functioning. The use of specially designed exterior environments nay have in reducing incidents of aggressive behavior, and contributing significantly to a wanderer management program. The checklist includes 6 dimensions: safety environment, various sensual stimulations, social interactions, wandering, privacy, and support orientation and reality. The results indicated that the exterior environment have to support wandering behavior, orientation and reality.

The purpose of this study is to obtain more insight into the explanation and prognosis of consumer behavior in real and virtual museums. The analysis focuses on the influence of the museum environment on the museum patrons (rather than on the influence of the art objects). On the basis of the emotional approach to environmental psychology by Mehrabian and Russell (1974), a behavior model has been developed for museums. The model, which is based on the emotional variables pleasure, arousal and dominance (PAD), is also enhanced by cognitive variabies (learning attractiveness, education standard and information demand). The enhancement of the classical model was necessary because cognitive variables play a major role in cultural institutions such as museums: One important objective of museums is the communication of cultural knowledge to visitors. The model is tested empirically using structural equation modeling. 301 visitors were interviewed individually. Two different museum environments were represented using visual stimuli. The theoretical model for museums can be proved empirically. The degree to which the model fits the empirical data was extensively tested. The model showed high compatibility with the data and could be accepted. The study proves that a model can be developed, which explains visitor behavior in museums. The model shows museum designers how museums should be designed to be both emotionally appealing and a learning environment. Based on empirical studies in virtual stores on the Internet, it is discussed whether the research findings in these environments may be applied to virtual museum environments. In order to create an emotionally appealing virtual museum, it is recommended that one uses a 3-dimensional representation to offer various possibilities for interaction and to create a multi-sensual environment that appears highly realistic.
The Purpose of this study is to determine the effect of new generation adolescents' clothing consumption values on their evaluation of clothing products. In the positive analysis, a questionnaire survey was conducted. Particularly, based on Sheth's (1991) theory, a focus group Interview was performed to develop the questionnaire on adolescents' clothing consumption values. The results of this study can be summarized as follows: First, young consumers have different values and clothing purchasing behavior from adults. To be specific, adolescents tended to appreciate fashionable and sensual values among clothing consumption values. Second, it was found that adolescents'personal values and their group-wise clothing consumption values affected their evaluation of clothing products. Such a finding may explain the relationship between value system and purchasing decisions. Namely, adolescents' evaluation of clothing products is affected by their value system. This finding supports the consumer value system suggested by the "expectation-value" theory. Thus, values and clothing products evaluation are neither separated from each other nor unrelated, but they affect each other in an abstract hierarchial structure. After all, through the route model, personal values affect clothing consumption values, which in turn affect clothing products evaluation. Besides, the clothing consumption values are affected by gender directly or indirectly. All in all, some specific indices regarding the abstract and hierarchial consumption values could be offered by analyzing the effects of adolescents' consumption values on their evaluation of clothing products in reference to the external clues of price and trademark manipulated, and thereby, the effects of consumption values on the positive clothing products evaluation could be determined in general.n general.
This study put its major concern in consumer behavior during a purchase of fashion products through the Internet marketing channels. Therefore, it investigated the Internet shopping and tried to find the reasons why clothes shopping through the Internet marketing channels is not popular enough. Then, alternative marketing strategies would be suggested which is accessible from the relationship marketing approach. The study adopted a qualitative research method to implement those purposes. In-depth interviews were conducted with the interviewees who had an experience of buying a fashion merchandise through the Internet or who had such an intention. And the information on stages of decision-making process and actual purchase was obtained by participating in and observing the process. The results revealed stages of decision-making in purchasing a fashion product through the Internet channels, the process of relationship development, and the elements of relationship marketing which affect purchase intention. The elements of relationship marketing to promote a purchase of a clothing product via the Internet marketing channels included convenience; communication and socal experience; sensual information; risk acknowledgement and pursuit for safety; and usage of complexed marketing channels. Based on these, a few strategic points such as remote reality, database of communication basis, strengthening individualized services, and development of complex marketing channels were suggested.

The purpose of this study is to positively investigate if the theory of self-monitoring among various individual trait theories would be a theoretical concept which can explain about the differences of clothing behavior under given social situations among Female university students in Korea. For this purpose, the following research problem were set up; 1. Self-monitoring levels and changing differences of self-image as per situation would be reviewed. 2. Self-monitoring levels and changing differences of clothing selection factors as per situation would be reviewed. The results of this study can be summarized as follows; First, as a result of analyzing the differences of situational self-image pursuits within per situation depending on individuals self-monitoring levels, the differences were found significant by. Namely, the adjectives for situational self-image which corresponded to those who had high self-monitoring than low self.monitoring were "womanly", "refined", "sensual", "lively" and "elegant". Second, as a result of analyzing the differences of priority of clothing selection factors within per situation depending on individuals self-monitoring levels, the differences were found significant by. Those who had high self-monitoring level put a higher priority on fashionability, aesthetics and status.symbol of clothing within per situation, while those who had low self-monitoring thought important for economy or utility within per situation.rtant for economy or utility within per situation.
We modeled fish school movements as a capture process in relation to the purse seine method using the three steps of the stimulus-response process (i.e., input stimuli, central decision-making and output reaction). Input stimuli of the model were categorized as either physical stimuli such as visual stimulus, sound stimulus, water flow, and weather or as biological stimuli such as species and size, swimming performance, sensual sensitivity, and presence of prey or predators. The output process determining the spatial orientation of the fish school for 3-D movements was based on swimming speed and angular change in the fish response, and these movements were animated as the relative geometry between the fish school and the purse seine. Simulations were carried out for skipjack tuna (Katsuwonus pelamis) schools reacting to a pelagic purse seine in the southwest Pacific Ocean. Simulation results showed that escape ratios varied from 20 to 70% by the relevant ranges in the stimulus-response thresholds, swimming speeds, and angular changes of fish schools were similar to those observed in the field. Therefore, with knowledge of relevant parameters, this model can be used to predict capture and escape probabilities of purse seine operations for different fish species or conditions.
This study examined dietary behaviors such as use motive, selection attribute, satisfaction, and purchasing intention in Yaksun foods according to women's dietary life style type. To achieve this research objective, it targeted women in more than the 20s who dwell in Seoul and Busan area. As a result, the following facts were clarified. First, the highest recognition was shown in rationality-seeking type as for diversion and in taste-seeking type as for sociality among the motives for using Yaksun foods. Second, the highest recognition was shown in taste-seeking type as for food quality & taste and physical service and in rationality-seeking type as for convenience among the selection attributes of Yaksun foods. Third, the satisfaction and the purchasing intention of Yaksun foods were the highest in health-seeking type. Seeing the above findings, the differentiation will be pursued from other food-service markets by making sensual taste and flavor as the food materials of Yaksun foods targeting consumers who pursue taste. Also, to increase satisfaction and purchasing intention of Yaksun foods, there is a need to positively publicize that Yaksun foods have efficacy on maintaining health and preventing disease.
This study is to examine the factors that influence purchasing behavior and decision-making when consumers buy goods through mobile shopping, define purchasing decision-making with the steps of problem recognition, information search, alternative assessment, and purchasing behavior to understand mobile consumer behavior, and investigate how the factors of each step play roles and influence consumers' purchasing decision-making through positive analysis to figure out consumer purchasing behavior in mobile shopping. The study results, First, the user characteristics of information search influence flow. Second, in the relations between the user characteristics in the step of information search and perceived risk in alternative assessment, if recognition on gains is higher, perceived risk for time loss gets lower, and when the level of skills is higher, perceived risk gets higher, and it has been partly adopted that innovativeness does not influence risk perception. Third, in the relations between flow experience and purchasing intention, it has been found to be partially significant that remote presence and challenge do not influence purchasing intention but do influence excitement, attention concentration, and control and also do influence perceived risk and purchasing intention. Fourth, according to the results of analyzing the difference of consumer purchasing behavior by the types of involvement, practical involvement and sensual involvement, user characteristics and flow, and perceived risk differ by the types of products in terms of the search process, thereby changing purchasing intention. Lastly, the significance and limitations of this study was discussed.
