가구의 감성적 접근에 관한 연구 (A Study on Sensible Approaches to Furniture)

  • As the machinery-centered mechanism has been changing into human-entered digitalization and urbanization, industrial and social structures gradually become softer. Also in design, with the growing success in solving technological problems, a new dimensional concept is demanded, along with the expanded scope of design application. For the purpose of developing a furniture design contributing to better human life, the study aims to sufficiently examine senses and psychological conditions of human beings and explore the design practically meeting consumer's desires. It is necessary to systemize and establish the study on human senses as one of the scientific fields in the near future and work together with experts from a wide range of areas, by reflecting the outcomes of studies on furniture design. In addition, it is expected that exploration of sensible furniture meeting consumer's demands and effective understanding resulted problems will help such design applied to sociability and humanity problems in a reasonable manner as a sensible design.

도시여성의 주생활양식유형과 실내디자인 이미지 선호 (Types of Housing Lifestyle and Preference for Interior Design Image among Urban Female Residents)

  • This study explores the types of lifestyle of females living in urban areas, and examines the relationship between the types of lifestyle and the preference for interior design images. The research sample is 301 adult females in Kwangju City, Korea. The sample is divided into two groups by employment status. Based on eight lifestyles by related factors, four major lifestyle types are classified: traditional type, private and sensible type, passive and private type, and environment-oriented and sensible type. The portions of these types are 32.6% of passive and private type, 21.6% of environment-oriented and sensible one, 21.6% of active and sensible one, and 16.6% of traditional one. The research of the lifestyle types reveals that they differ by age, marital status, education, and dwelling types. There are negligible differences among four types in preference for three interior design images.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop functional and sensible brassiere for middle-aged women. As a methodology, engineering design process, especially, QFD(Quality Function Deployment) was adopted to translate consumer's needs into product design parameters. Wearing tests of commercial brassiere were performed for the development o subjective measurement scale. The environmental condition was controlled at 28$\pm$1$^{\circ}C$, 65$\pm$3%RH. As results, subjective measurement scale and dimension for the evaluation of sensible brassiere were extracted from factor analysis. Four factors were fitting, aesthetic property, pressure sensation, displacement of brassiere due to movement. Regression equations with the subjective evaluation descriptors were developed for the prediction of wearing comfort of brassiere. (R2=.82) The most critical design parameter was wire-related property and second one was stretchability of main material of brassiere. Also, wearing comfort of brassiere was affected by the interaction of initial stretchability of wing and support of strap.

감성적 접근방법에 의한 공중전화기 디자인에 대한 연구 (Public Telephone Design by Approach Method of Human Sensibility)

  • 자급제용 공중전화기가 급속도로 증가하고 있는 추세에서 소비자의 디자인 감성을 파악하는 것은 소비자의 개성추구 경향을 반영한 제품을 만드는 토대가 되며, 이를 통해 제품 경쟁력을 높일 수 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 배경을 바탕으로 자급제용 공중전화기에 대한 소비자 욕구(감성)를 정량적으로 측정하였다. 1차 도출된 168개의 감성어휘를 SD척도로 실시한 결과 35개의 감성어휘가 추출되었으며 이를 대상으로 SD척도 7단 구성을 이용하여 남녀 대학생 30명에게 기존 10개의 제품 이미지에 대한 설문조사를 시행하였다. 감성어휘의 요인들간의 상관성을 파악하기 위해 요인분석을 실시하였고, 분류를 위해 군집분석을 실시하였으며, 디자인요소와 감성어휘와의 상관관계를 예측하기 위해 판별분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과 감성어휘는 심미성, 기능성, 안전성의 3가지 요인으로 구분되었고, 디자인요소인 몸체, 핸드 셋, 다이얼 조립 판, 다이얼 버튼, 제어버튼, 칼라(몸체), 재질에 대해서 소비자가 느끼는 감성어휘와의 상관관계를 규명하다. 본 연구는 기존의 디자이너 개인의 감각에 의존하는 것보다 더 체계적이고 과학적으로 소비자의 욕구를 파악하여 소비자의 감성을 만족시키는 공중전화기 디자인의 개발에 도움이 되리라 본다.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the methods applied to educational facilities of Steven Holl's architecture, especially focusing on sensible elements in the public space. Steven Holl has realized distinct space by applying very specific and limited concept. such as perspective space, color, light and shadow, time duration and perception, haptic realm, and proportion & scale. Education facilities designed by Steven Holl, are influenced the sensible aspects of space, form, materials, patterns, and other various sensible elements. Beyond the limits of color and sculptural vocabulary, Steven Holl utilizes a variety of ways which shown in educational facilities design and is identified by the emotional phenomenology of perceptual experience. Various elements in the public space are reinforced through light and materials to make experiential space in the educational facilities. This study used a composition of space that combines various sensible elements, meanings, and senses to examine how Steven Holl's architecture can mediate and reproduce user' emotional experiences and discover the existential relationship between space and user in public space of educational facilities.

부하변동에 대한 바이패스 공조시스템의 특성 (The Characteristics of a Bypass Air Conditioning System for Load Variation)

  • Bypass air conditioning systems are divided into three types; an outdoor air bypass, a mixed air bypass and a return air bypass system. What makes the return air by pass system more effective is that it directs all of moist outdoor air through the cooling coil. The bypass air conditioning system can maintain indoor R.H (Relative Humidity) less than a conventional CAV (Constant Air Volume) air conditioning system by adjusting face and bypass dampers at part load. When a design sensible load (the ratio of sensible load to total sensible load) is 70 percent (at this time, RSHF (Room Sensible Heat Factor) . 0.7), indoor R.H was maintained 59 percent by the return air bypass system, but 65 percent by the conventional CAV air conditioning system (valve control system). The bypass air conditioning system can also improve IAQ (Indoor Air Quality) in many buildings where the number of air change is high.

향온시설물에 대한 현열 및 잠열 에너지 회수시스템의 성능해석 (Performance Analysis of Sensible and Latent Energy Recovery System for Thermally Controlled Facilities)

  • A sizing of sensible and latent energy recovery system with condensing heat exchanger is important to the design of a thermally controlled facilities. The transient system simulation program TRNSYS 14.2/IISiBat has been used to evaluate the energy consumptions of a thermally controlled facilities which consist of boiler, chiller and condensing heat exchanger, The boiler and chiller are selected based on the annual peak loads and controlled to maintain the setting temperature of $14~17^{\circ}C$. Simulation shows that the amount of sensible and latent energy recovered by heat exchanger is almost 20% of total heating load.

Digital Image의 미학적 해석 (A Study on the esthetic analysis for the Digital Image)

  • All kinds of artwork, including multimedia and digital image that has been subliminated into an af mediating two numbers 0 and 1 in recent age, are self-sufficient and autonomous in themselves. Nevertheless, each of those artworks can be realized as a real entity only if its appreciator is capable enough to explore some potential meaning out of it through his or her own perceptual work. According to Mikel Dufrenne, an artwork is composed of three existential tiers: "le sensible" or the sensible material; "fe representation" or the subject(le sujet), and "1′expression." Dufrenne contends that our esthetic perception can be realized by way of three steps that are comparable to those three tiers: perception of the presence of the body("le sensible"), contemplative perception by way of imagination("le representation"), and reflective perception ("1′expression") as a result of dialectics of sense and sensibility. This paper argues on the aesthetic perception with regard to digital image expressed by two numbers 0 and 1, putting focus on the epistemological role of sensibility(감) that explores "1′expression" a la Dufrenne.
