간질발작의 진행에 따른 발작기 SPECT의 혈류증가 양상 (Topographic Changes of Ictal Hyperperfusion During Progression of Clinical Seizures)

  • Purpose: To investigate ictal hyperperfusion patterns during semiologic progression of seizures, we performed SPECT subfraction in 50 patients with temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE). Materials and Methods: The patients were categorized Into five groups according to semiologic progression during ictal SPECT (group-1 having only aura; group-2 haying motionless staling with or without aura; group-3 having motionless staring and then automatism with or without aura; group-4 having motionless staring and then dystonic posturing with or without aura and automatism; group-5 having motionless staring, automatism, then head version and generalized seizures with or without aura and dystonic posturing). Results: In group-1, three patients showed ipsilateral temporal hyperperfusion and two had bilateral temporal hyperperfusion with ipsilateral predominance. In group-2, three (42.9%) patients showed bilateral temporal hyperperfusion with unilateral predominance and four (57.1%) revealed insular hyperperfusion of epileptic side. In group-3, 15 patients (88.2%) showed bilateral temporal hyperperfusion with unilateral predominance and 12 (70.6%) insular hyperperfusion. In group-4, 11 patients (84.6%) showed basal ganglia hyperperfusion on the opposite hemisphere to the side of the dystonic posturing. en group-5, there were multiple hyperperfusion areas in the frontal, temporal and basal ganglia regions. However, the injection times of radiotracer in five groups were relatively short and similar. Conclusions: The semiologic progression in TLE seizures were related to the propagation of hyperperfusion from ipsilateral temporal lobe to contralateral temporal lobe, insula, basal ganglia, and frontal lobe. Not only the radiotracer injection time but also semiologic progression after the Injection was significant in determining hyperperfusion pattern of ictal SPECT.

일본의 기계적 무의식과 전통공간디자인의 분열분석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Mechanical Unconscious of Japan and Schizo-Analysis of Japanese Traditional Space Design)

  • This study is an historical consideration about the modern discourse of Japanese spacial tradition driven from cultural background. The purpose of this study is to establish a cartographic map of historical progress, and to shed light on the forming of identity in Japanese traditional space design on the schizo-analytical aspect. It adopts F. Guattari's psychoanalytic theory to the structural analysis of Japanese traditional space design. The process of this study is illustrated as follows: At first, it mentions Guattari's theory of Mechanical Unconscious, Schizo-analysis, Cartography, and Abstract machine as theoretical background. And, it considers the identity of Japanese traditional space constructed by various cultural sign over a long period of time as the statement of apriority. Secondly, it clarifies semiologic generation of Japanese traditional space design based on the analysis of spacial morphemes about each design stemmed from modernization process of Japan. Thirdly, it ascertains semiologic topography the representamens draw, i.e. schizo-analytic cartography from synchronic and diachronic point of view. Fourthly, it analyses traditional discourse structure in terms of generative schizo-analysis and transformational schizo-analysis with four categories- object, style, concept, strategy. Through this process, it studies the reproduction of Japanese tradition in terms of the 'social organization', and explores the way vitalized on the space-time coordinate system by the schizo-analysis of the mechanical unconscious. In conclusion, it clarifies Generative-schizo is accomplished in the level of formulating representamen, and Transformational-Schizo involves experimental mind that induce implantation of the heteromorphic elements and avant-garde experiments of abstract mechanical operation in the schizo-analysis of Japanese traditional space design. The significance of this study is to arrange an opportunity of introspection on Korean-ness seriously from inspecting logic of Japan-ness closely in traditional space design.

Seizure Control in Patients with Extratemporal Lobe Epilepsy

  • Objective : This study was designed to analyze seizure outcome and to investigate the prognostic factors for predicting seizure outcome according to the preoperative evaluations, surgical procedures, topectomy sites and histopathological findings in patients with extratemporal lobe epilepsy [ETLE]. Methods : This study comprised 63 patients with ETLE who underwent surgery. Preoperative evaluations included semiologic analysis, chronic video-EEG monitoring, and neuroimaging studies. Surgical procedures consisted of topectomy in 51 patients, corpus callosotomy in 9, functional hemispherectomy in 2, and vagus nerve stimulation [VNS] in 1. Histopathological findings were reviewed. Postoperative seizure outcomes were assessed by Engel's classification at the average follow up period of 66.8 months. Chi-square test was used for statistics. Results : Total postoperative seizure outcomes were class I in 51 [80%] patients, class II in 6 [10%], class III in 6 [10%]. Patients with structural abnormalities on neuroimaging study showed class I in 49 [88%] patients [p<0.05]. Patients with focal and regional ictal EEG onset revealed class I in 47 [90%] patients [p<0.05]. Semiologic findings, surgical procedures, topectomy sites and histopathological findings did not show statistical correlation with seizure outcome [p<0.05]. Conclusion : A good seizure outcome was obtained in patients with ETLE. The factors for favorable seizure outcome are related to the presence of structural abnormalities on neuroimaging study, and focal and regional ictal EEG onset.

화장품 브랜드 로고의 기호학적 분석과 소비자 태도에 관한 연구 (Research on Consumer Attitudes and a Semiological Analysis of Cosmetic Brand Logos)

  • Most consumers prefer certain brand logos of cosmetics in accordance with their cognized brand image and self image. In other words, consumers select particular brands from various brands in the market based on their image. The purpose of this study is to find out which factors affect a consumer's attention of cosmetic brand logos. The brand logo that has an abstractive image, sign, and brand pursues the consumer who purchases the cosmetic product and image. The semistic analytic method of pierce was used. The major findings are as follow. 1) The image of the logo of a female consumer is a significant difference in the educational level variable. The result compares, according to marital status and educational level, the traditional characteristic from the logo of the image. 2) There is a significant difference in the logo type. It follows the educational level variable in female consumers. The result compares a preference by inserting a picture in the logo. A high preference appears based on age, marital status, occupation, and income. 3) There are significant differences in demographics school register with attitude of the logo. It follows the attitude that appeared about in age. Finally, when examining closely the effects between cosmetics' brand logo and logo's implications, there are significant differences in the income level, educational level, age, and marital status. The feminine consumer tends to prefer accordance between the cosmetics brand logo and the logo's implications.

주체, 구조, 담론, 그리고 수학 학습 (Subject, Structure, Discourse, and the Learning of Mathematics)

  • 인식의 주체와 대상만을 고려하는 인식론은 그들을 둘러싸고 있는 사회의 역할에 대해 만족할 만한 설명을 주지 못한다. 이 논문에서는 인식의 주체를 가능하게 하는 언어적, 사회적 조건을 논의하는 구조주의와 기호학적 인식론의 철학적 기초를, 주체, 구조, 담론이라는 세 가지의 키워드를 중심으로 하여 분석한다. 기호의 의미란 인식의 대상으로부터 비롯되거나 주체가 스스로 구성하는 것이 아니라 기호들의 망 속에서 기호들 사이의 관계에 의한 의미작용으로부터 주어지는 것이다. 그 구조는 주체 이전에 존재하는 것이며, 오히려 그러한 구조적 질서 안으로 들어감으로써 주체는 형성된다. 수학 학습을 이해하고 분석하는 경우에도 이러한 관점은 주체에 의한 지식의 구성 이외의 다른 많은 논점들을 생각하게 하는 출발점이 된다.

저고리 마름질 꼴과 십승지의 기호학적 유사성 연구 (A Study on the Semiological Similarity between Sipseungji and the Cutting Shape of Korean $J{\check{o}}gori$)

  • In the late Joseon period, as Korea suffered from two battles such as Byeongjahoran and Imjinweran, the people wanted to find comfortable shelters, which caused Bigi to prevail. That is, as an alternative to find a shelter which is physically prosperous and mentally comfortable and to get out of turbulent days, the people desired the utopian world of Sipseungji. The Sipseungji of 'Namsako' was deeply rooted in the society, which had a great impact on it. However, it is very surprising to find that the Sipseungji is metaphored in the process to make the shapes of Korean $J{\check{o}}gori$ which are a represented product of our culture. In other words, the ideal world we desired is a clothe itself which wraps human bodies, not any mysterious place that can not be found. They wanted to deliver the assumption that the ideal world is in humans themselves through clothes. Though a shaman sign of Sip (meaning ten), the Sipseungjiseol of Namsako became rooted in the living of the common people, which caused social confusion, but the Sipseungji suggests that as humans are the very lucky place, the utopian world is in themselves. Therefore, it should not be overlooked that the shapes of Korean $J{\check{o}}gori$ have instructional values that can not be found in those of other foreign cultures.

국내 아파트브랜드 명명(命名)에 담긴 조경지향적 설득언어 - 유형 및 어휘소 분석을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Landscape-Oriented Persuasive Language from Naming the Apartment Brand in Korea - Focus on the Analysis of Category and Lexeme -)

  • 본 연구는 기호학적 분석과 해석을 통해 아파트브랜드 명명(命名)에 담긴 의미와 가치를 살피고, 브랜드가 지향하는 조경적 관점의 설득 메시지가 무엇인가를 밝히고자 시도되었다. 명명 조어분석 결과, 조합과 접합 그리고 혼성방식의 경향이 강한데, 이는 주거문화의 다양한 가치를 담기 위한 시도로 판단된다. 명명 발상법은 문자의 상징성 강조 방식이 강하며, 다의적 메시지를 전달하고자 하는 중의법적 경향과 건물에 인격을 부여하기 위한 의인화, 고유어 및 한자를 적절히 섞어 이용함으로써 자연과 인간의 조화 및 전통적 주거관을 현대적 감각으로 되살리고자 하는 실험성도 동시에 발견된다. 어휘소의 빈도 분석 결과, ville, nature, beauty(미(美)), human, park, hi, green, palace(궁(宮)), nobility, centre(tra) 등의 순으로 설득언어의 등장 비중이 높음을 알 수 있는데, 이는 대부분 조경 및 전망, 자연성 그리고 품격 등을 설명하는 어휘소로 판단된다. 또한 아파트브랜드 포지셔닝 등 기존 연구동향을 바탕으로 한 분석틀에 의한 어휘소 유형화 결과, 국내 아파트브랜드의 지향점과 가치를 좌우하는 가장 비중 있는 외적 개념 축은 '환경지향성'과 '감성지향성'이며, 내부적으로 '기능지향적' 특성이 강화되는 추세로 볼 수 있다. 또한 '환경지향성'을 표출하는 대표적 설득언어이자 브랜드 어휘소의 순위가 정원 및 공원, 전망 그리고 자연성 등임을 볼 때 '조경적 설득 메시지'가 브랜드 명명에 팽배되어 있음을 엿볼 수 있다. 또한 palace, nobility, class를 주요 어휘소로 하는 '품격축'과 human I, you 등을 어휘소로 하는 '자부심축' 등의 감성지향적 설득언어 역시 브랜드의 차별화와 고급화를 선도하는 중요 가치개념이자 설득언어로 활용되고 있다. 더불어 환경지향적 관점으로 유형화한 전망축의 어휘소 중 hi, hill, tower, view, mark, heights 등의 어휘소는 주상복합아파트 등 조망을 주요 가치개념으로 한 초고층아파트가 지향 트렌드와 중복되고 있음을 비추어볼 때, 당분간 고층지향적 설득언어 역시 국내 아파트브랜드의 동향을 지배하는 요인이 될 것으로 예견된다.
