Design and Development of the Second language Proficiency Method based on Cognitive Ability of Learner (학습자 언어 인지 능력 기반의 외국어 능숙도 측정 방법 설계 및 개발)

  • In this paper, the modeling of phenomena that occurs in the brain related language was designed and developed the second language proficiency method. This method based on cognitive ability test in cognitive psychology that is the lexical decision task, the priming task and the verbal span task. The lexical decision task involves measuring how quickly decide stimuli as words or nonwords. This task is divided reading and listening according to stimulus type to the details. The priming task finds the output of the language. This task is divided the translation-priming and the semantic-priming according to stimulus type. The verbal span task finds the short term memory. In this paper, we propose the second language proficiency measurement method using the linguistics cognitive ability of the learner about the second language.

HTML specification and semantics analysis of korean news sites (한국 인터넷신문 HTML 규격 및 시맨틱스 수준 분석)

  • Visual interfaces of news sites look similar while their HTML have lots of different specifications and qualities. It's getting more and more significant to describe HTML semantically to make every computer able to understand contents to be shared as HTML5 specification refers. In this study, I have analysed HTML codes of 110 korean news sites in comparison to those of 8 global news sites. As results, 68% of news sites are still described in HTML4 specifications and only 10 out of 110 are in HTML5 specification and as high quality and strong semantics as global news sites. The result shows most korean news sites platforms had not been changed since they developed in mid-2000 and it's needed to be upgraded as language translation technologies are making it possible to share korean digital contents with the rest of world.

Disease-Related Vocubulary and its translingual practice in Late 19th to Early 20th century (19세기 말 20세기 초 질병 어휘와 언어횡단적 실천)

  • Objectives This study aims to investigate how the Korean disease-related vocabulary is established or changed when it is translated into French or English. Through this, we examine changes in the meaning of diseases and the ecosystem of disease-related vocabulary in transition period of $19^{th}$ to $20^{th}$ century. Methods Korean disease-related vocabulary are extracted from a total of 148,000 Korean headwords included in our corpus of three bilingual dictionaries. Among them, the scope of analyisis is limited to group of vocabularies that include a high frequency words, disease(病) and symptom(症). Results The first type of change is the emergence of a neologism. In this case, coexistence of existing vocabulary and new words is observed. The second change is the appearance of loan words written in Hangul. The third is the case where the interpretation of meaning is changed while maintaining the word form. Finally, the fourth change is that the orthographic variants are displayed while maintaining the meaning of the existing vocabulary. Discussion Disease-related vocabulary increased greatly between 1897 and 1931. The increasing factor of vocabulary was the emergence of coined words, compound words and the influx of foreign words. The Korean language and the Western language made a new lexical form in order to introduce a new unknown concept to the Korean. We could also confirm that the way in which English word expanded its semantic field by modifying the way of representing the meaning of Korean Disease-related vocabulary.

Deep Learning in Radiation Oncology

  • Deep learning (DL) is a subset of machine learning and artificial intelligence that has a deep neural network with a structure similar to the human neural system and has been trained using big data. DL narrows the gap between data acquisition and meaningful interpretation without explicit programming. It has so far outperformed most classification and regression methods and can automatically learn data representations for specific tasks. The application areas of DL in radiation oncology include classification, semantic segmentation, object detection, image translation and generation, and image captioning. This article tries to understand what is the potential role of DL and what can be more achieved by utilizing it in radiation oncology. With the advances in DL, various studies contributing to the development of radiation oncology were investigated comprehensively. In this article, the radiation treatment process was divided into six consecutive stages as follows: patient assessment, simulation, target and organs-at-risk segmentation, treatment planning, quality assurance, and beam delivery in terms of workflow. Studies using DL were classified and organized according to each radiation treatment process. State-of-the-art studies were identified, and the clinical utilities of those researches were examined. The DL model could provide faster and more accurate solutions to problems faced by oncologists. While the effect of a data-driven approach on improving the quality of care for cancer patients is evidently clear, implementing these methods will require cultural changes at both the professional and institutional levels. We believe this paper will serve as a guide for both clinicians and medical physicists on issues that need to be addressed in time.

The Development and Sementic Network of Korean Ginseng Poems (한국 인삼시의 전개와 의미망)

  • Even before recorded history, the Korean people took ginseng. Later, poetry passed down from China developed into a literary style in which intellectuals from the Silla, Goryeo, and Joseon Dynasties expressed their thoughts concisely. The aim of this paper is to find Korean poems related to ginseng and to look for their semantic network. To this end, "Korea Classical DB ", produced by the Institute for the Translation of Korean Classics, was searched to find ginseng poems. As the result of a search in November 2021, two poems from the Three Kingdoms Period, two poems from the Goryeo Dynasty, and 23 poems from the Joseon Dynasty were searched. An examination of these poems found that the first ginseng poem was "Goryeoinsamchan," which was sung by people in Goguryeo around the 6th century. Ginseng poetry during the Goryeo Dynasty is represented by Anchuk's poem. Anchuk sang about the harmful effects of ginseng tributes from a realistic point of view. Ginseng poetry in the Joseon Dynasty is represented by Seo Geo-jeong in the early period and Jeong Yakyong in the late period. Seo Geo-jeong's ginseng poem is a romantic poem that praises the mysterious pharmacological effects of ginseng. A poem called "Ginseng" by Yongjae Seonghyeon is also a romantic poem that praises the mysterious medicinal benefits of ginseng. As a scholar of Realist Confucianism, Dasan Jeong Yak-yong wrote very practical ginseng poems. Dasan left five ginseng poems, the largest number written by one poet. Dasan tried ginseng farming himself and emerged from the experience as a poet. The story of the failure and success of his ginseng farming was described in his poems. At that time, ginseng farming was widespread throughout the country due to the depletion of natural ginseng and the development of ginseng farming techniques after the reign of King Jeongjo. Since the early 19th century, ginseng farming had been prevalent on a large scale in the Gaeseong region, and small-scale farming had also been carried out in other regions. What is unusual is Kim Jin-soo's poem. At that time, in Tong Ren Tang, Beijing (the capital of the Qing Dynasty), ginseng from Joseon sold well under the "Songak Sansam" brand. Kim Jin-Soo wrote about this brand of ginseng in his poem. In 1900, Maecheon Hwanghyeon also created a ginseng poem, written in Chinese characters. Thus, the semantic network of Korean ginseng poems is identified as follows: 1) Ginseng poetry in the spirit of the people - Emerging gentry in the Goryeo Dynasty (Anchuk). 2) Romantic ginseng poetry - Government School in the early Joseon Dynasty (Seo Geo-jeong, Seonghyeon, etc.). 3) Practical ginseng poetry - Realist School in the late Joseon Dynasty (Jeong Yak-yong, Kim Jin-soo, Hwang Hyun, etc.). This semantic network was extracted while examining the development of Korean ginseng poems.

On the Sequences of Dialogue Acts and the Dialogue Flows-w.r.t. the appointment scheduling dialogues (대화행위의 연쇄관계와 대화흐름에 대하여 -[일정협의 대화] 중심으로)

  • The main purpose of this paper is to propose a general dialogue flow in 'the a appointment scheduling dialogues' in German using the concept of dialogue acts. A basic a assumption of this research is that dialogue acts contribute to the improvement of a translation system. They might be very useful to solve the problems that syntactic and semantic module could not resolve using contextual knowledge. The classification of the dialogue acts was conducted as a work of VERBMOBIL project and was based on real dialogues transcribed by experts. The real dialogues were analyzed in terms of the dialogue acts. We empirically analyzed the sequences of the dialogue acts not only in a series of dialogue turns but also in one dialogue turn. We attempted to analyZe the sequences in one dialogue turn additionally because the dialogue data used in this research showed some difference from the ones in other existing researches. By examining the sequences in dialogue acts. we proposed the dialogue flowchart in 'the a appointment scheduling dialogues' 'Based on the statistical analysis of the sequences of the most frequent dialogue acts. the dialogue flowcharts seem to represent' the a appointment scheduling dialogues' in general. A further research is required on c classification of dialogue acts which was a base for the analysis of dialogues. In order to e extract the most generalized model. we did not subcategorize each dialogue acts and used a limited number of items of dialogue acts. However. generally defined dialogue acts need to be defined more concretely and new dialogue acts for specific situations should be a added.

Development of a Java Compiler for Verification System of DTV Contents (DTV 콘텐츠 검증 시스템을 위한 Java 컴파일러의 개발)

  • 디지털 위성방송의 시작과 더불어 본격적인 데이터 방송의 시대가 열렸다. 데이터방송이 시작 되면서 데이터방송용 양방향 콘텐츠에 대한 수요가 급속하게 증가하고 있다. 하지만 양방향 콘텐츠 개발에 필요한 저작 도구 및 검증 시스템은 아주 초보적인 수준에 머물러 있는 것이 현실이다. 그러나 방송의 특성상 콘텐츠 상에서의 오류는 방송 사고에까지 이를 수 있는 심각한 상황이 연출 될 수 있다. 본 연구 팀은 이러한 DTV 콘텐츠 개발 요구에 부응하여, 개발자의 콘텐츠 개발 및 사업자 또는 기관에서의 콘텐츠 검증이 원활이 이루어 질수 있도록 하는 양방향 콘텐츠 검증 시스템을 개발 중이다. 양방향 콘텐츠 검증 시스템은 Java 컴파일러, 디버거, 미들웨어, 가상머신, 그리고 IDE 등으로 구성된다. 본 논문에서 제시한 자바 컴파일러는 양방향 콘텐츠 검증 시스템에서 데이터 방송용 자바 애플리케이션(Xlet)을 컴파일하여 에뮬레이팅 하거나 런타임 상에서 디버깅이 가능하도록 하는 바이너리형태의 class 파일을 생성한다. 이를 위해 Java 컴파일러는 *.java 파일을 입력으로 받아 어휘 분석과 구문 분석 과정을 거친 후 SDT(syntax-directed translation)에 의해 AST(Abstract Syntax Tree)를 생성한다. 클래스링커는 생성된 AST를 탐색하여 동적으로 로딩 되는 파일들을 연결하여 AST를 확장한다. 의미 분석과정에서는 확장된 AST를 입력으로 받아 참조된 명칭의 사용이 타당한지 등을 검사하고 코드 생성이 용이하도록 AST를 변형하고 부가적인 정보를 삽입하여 ST(Semantic Tree)를 생성한다. 코드 생성 단계에서는 ST를 입력으로 받아 이미 정해 놓은 패턴에 맞추어 Bytecode를 출력한다.ovoids에서도 각각의 점들에 대한 선량을 측정하였다. SAS와 SSAS의 직장에 미치는 선량차이는 실제 임상에서의 관심 점들과 가장 가까운 25 mm(R2)와 30 mm(R3)거리에서 각각 8.0% 6.0%였고 SAS와 FWAS의 직장에 미치는 선량차이는 25 mm(R2) 와 30 mm(R3)거리에서 각각 25.0% 23.0%로 나타났다. SAS와 SSAS의 방광에 미치는 선량차이는 20 m(Bl)와 30 mm(B2)거리에서 각각 8.0% 3.0%였고 SAS와 FWAS의 방광에 미치는 선량차이는 20 mm(Bl)와 30 mm(B2)거리에서 각각 23.0%, 17.0%로 나타났다. SAS를 SSAS나 FWAS로 대체하였을 때 직장에 미치는 선량은 SSAS는 최대 8.0 %, FWAS는 최대 26.0 %까지 감소되고 방광에 미치는 선량은 SSAS는 최대 8.0 % FWAS는 최대 23.0%까지 감소됨을 알 수 있었고 FWAS가 SSAS 보다 차폐효과가 더 좋은 것으로 나타났으며 이 두 종류의 shielded applicator set는 부인암의 근접치료시 직장과 방광으로 가는 선량을 감소시켜 환자치료의 최적화를 이룰 수 있을 것으로 생각된다.)한 항균(抗菌) 효과(效果)를 나타내었다. 이상(以上)의 결과(結果)로 보아 선방활명음(仙方活命飮)의 항균(抗菌) 효능(效能)은 군약(君藥)인 대황(大黃)의 성분(成分) 중(中)의 하나인 stilbene 계열(系列)의 화합물(化合物)인 Rhapontigenin과 Rhaponticin의 작용(作用)에 의(依)한 것이며, 이는 한의학(韓醫學) 방제(方劑) 원리(原理)인 군신좌사(君臣佐使) 이론(理論)에서 군약(君藥)이 주증(主症)에 주(主)로 작용(作用)하는 약물(藥物)이라는 것을 밝혀주는 것이라고
