Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate a Self-efficacy-based Basic Life Support (SEBLS) program for high-risk patients' family caregivers on cardiac arrest. The SEBLS program was constructed on the basis of Bandura's self-efficacy resources as well as the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation's '2000 Guidelines for CPR and ECC'. Method: The effect of the SEBLS program on emergency response self-efficacy and emergency response behavior such as BLS(Basic Life Support) knowledge and BLS skill performance was measured by a simulated control group pretest-posttest design. Study subjects were38 high-risk patients' family caregivers(20 experimental subjects and 18 control subjects) whose family patients were admitted to a general hospital in Incheon, Korea. Result: 1. Emergency response self-efficacy was significantly higher in the experimental subjects who participated in the SEBLS program than in the control subjects. (t=8.3102, p=0.0001). 2. For emergency response behavior, BLS knowledge (t=5.6941, p=0.0001) and BLS skill performance (t=27.8281, p=0.0001) was significantly higher in experimental subjects than in control subjects. Conclusion: A SEBLS program can increase emergency response self-efficacy and emergency response behavior, and could be an effective intervention for high-risk patient's family caregivers. Long-term additional studies are needed to determine the lasting effects of the program.
The Purpose of this study was to identify the educational effects of cardiopulmonary resuscitation using a PC skill-reporting system on the knowledge, Self-efficacy and skill performance ability of nursing students. The Participants were 57 nursing students from G metropolitan city, an experimental group of 29 subjects, and a control group of 28 students who were randomly sampled. Data were collected from 3 to 12 July of, 2013, and theory education and skill exposure programs for the experimental and control groups were conducted for 60 min. three times a week. The, PC skill-reporting system was used only with the experimental group. The collected data were analyzed with SPSS/WIN version 20.0 using ${\chi}^2$-tests, Fisher's exact probability tests, paired t-tests and t-tests. In the comparison of the two groups, the knowledge(t=-2.39, p=.022), self-efficacy (t=-3.45, p<.001) and skill performance ability(t=-2.52, p=.012) of the experiment group were significantly higher than those of the control group. Therefore, the adoption of instructional methods using a PC skill-reporting system is required to maximize the effects of cardiopulmonary resuscitation instruction.

Based on social cognitive theory, self-efficacy in the context of learning has been steadily emphasized as an indicator of students' motivation and performance. The premise for developing such an instrument was that a specific measure of Physics self-efficacy was deemed to be an important predictor of the change processes necessary to improve students' physics understanding. In this study we described the process of developing and validating an instrument to measure students' beliefs in their abilities to perform essential tasks in physics and then investigated high school students' self-efficacy about physics learning and performance. Validity and reliability of PSEI were tested using various statistical techniques including the Cronbach alpha coefficient, exploratory factor analysis. The result of factor analysis supported the contention that the Physics Self-Efficacy Inventory (PSEI) was a multidimensional construct consisting of at least four dimensions: understanding and application of Physics concepts, achievement motivation, confidence for physics laboratory, confidence for Mathematics. The result showed that Kroean high schools students have low Physics self-efficacy for the all four dimensions. Therefore, researchers should focus on development of students' Physics self-efficacy. In addition, the instrument may lead to further understanding of student behavior, which in turn can facilitate the development of strategies that may increase students' aspiration to understand and study Physics. More specifically, by using the PSEI as a pre- and post-test indicator, instructors can gain insight into whether students' confidence levels increase as they engage in learning Physics, and, in addition, what type of teaching strategies are most effective in building deeper understanding of Physics concepts.where they freely exchanged opinions and feedback for constructing better collective ideas.
The Study of the Development of Efficacy Expectation Promoting Program and it's Effect for Cervical Spinal Cord Injury Patients. This study was conducted to develop on Efficacy Expectation Promoting Program (EEPP) based on the Self-Efficacy Theory of Bandura for Cervical Spinal Cord Injury Patient(CSCIP), and invesgated it's effects. The research process of this study was done in three phases. The first phase was an analysis of the patient's life experience. The second phase was to develop an Efficacy Expectation Promoting VTR Tape Program(EEPP) that reflected the life experience of the CSCIPS. EEPP was composed Performance Accomplishment and Vicarious Experience with a home visitation program based on Verbal Persuation, which are all induction modes of efficacy expectation of Bandura. The third phase was an experimental stage. The experimental design was an AB Single Experimental Design. Research subjects were three CSCIPs (cervical area 5-7). The data was collected from 24th June to 22th Oct, 1995. The result of the experimentation showed great increase self-efficacy score, subject self-care score, all competence of daily living score, and social activities. In conclusion, it was found that an EEPP is an effective home nursing intervention technique for rehabilitation of CSCIPs.

The purpose of this study is to study the mediating verification of self-efficacy in the effect of self-management of hair beauty experts on job performance and beauty continuity intention. The subjects of the study were surveyed and used for analysis of 256 beauty experts working as hair beauty experts in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province. The SPSS 28.0 and AMOS 28.0 statistical package programs were used for the analysis method, and descriptive statistics of mean, standard deviation, kurtosis, skewness, confirmatory factor analysis and reliability analysis, correlation, and mediating effect analysis were analyzed using bootstrapping techniques. The results of the study showed that the self-management of hair beauty experts had a significant positive (+) effect on self-efficacy, job performance, and intention to continue beauty. The self-efficacy of hair beauty experts had a significant (+) effect on job performance and beauty continuity intention. It was confirmed that there was a mediating effect of self-efficacy in the relationship between self-management and job performance of hair beauty experts. The statistical significance level is p<.It was analyzed by setting it at the level of 05.
Purpose: The Korean Triage and Acuity Scale (KTAS) is a tool used to classify the severity and urgency of emergency department (ED) patients, focusing on their symptoms. In consideration of the importance of the KTAS, a web-based learning program has emerged as a new mode of education; it enables ED triage nurses to access it anytime and anywhere, and according to their own learning abilities. This study aimed to develop a web-based KTAS learning program and evaluate its effects on self-efficacy and triage performance ability in ED nurses. Methods: A quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest was used. The conceptual framework was Bandura's self-efficacy theory. There were 30 participants in the experimental group and 29 in the control group. The experimental group attended an orientation and 4 sessions of a web-based KTAS learning program. The learning program lasted 280 minutes over five weeks, consisting of 40 minutes of orientation and four 60-minute sessions. Results: The scores of self-efficacy, triage performance ability in KTAS level, and chief complaints significantly increased in the experimental group compared to the control group. In addition, the numbers of under-triage in KTAS significantly decreased in the experimental group in comparison to the control group. Conclusion: The results suggest that the learning program was effective in improving ED nurses' level of self-efficacy and triage performance ability (KTAS level and KTAS chief complaint). Accordingly, the web-based KTAS learning program can be applied as an education intervention to improve ED nurses' triage skill.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of self-efficacy and collective-efficacy on job stress in the nursing staff. Method: This study surveyed 160 nurses in three general hospitals in the Seoul and Gyung-gi province for two months starting in September 2004. The questionnaire consisted of 54 questions about job stress, 10 questions about self-efficacy, and 7 questions about collective-efficacy. The answers were on a scale rating of 5. The answer sheets were analyzed with descriptive statistics, the t-test, ANOVA, the tukey test, the Pearson correlation coefficients and stepwise multiple regression using SAS version 8.2. Result: The average job stress rating of the nurses was 3.11. The average self-efficacy and the average collective-efficacy were 3.41 and 3.39, respectively. The age, working department, income level, shift-work and hospital have influence on job stress. Efficacies such that self-efficacy and collective-efficacy have influence on job stress. The much efficacy makes the less job stress. The stepwise multiple regression revealed that the significant predictor of job stress was working department and hospital. Conclusion: This study showed that collective-efficacy as well as self-efficacy reduces job stress, so nursing intervention methods should promote collective-efficacy. The collective-efficacy improvement program should be developed to improve job performance, to improve cohesion of nursing units, and to improve satisfaction on the job. The next research could be to develop collective-efficacy improvement programs for nursing units.
Purpose: The purpose this study was to investigate the relationship between self-care performance and influential factors in hemodialysis patients. Method: The subjects of this study were 102 hemodialysis outpatients who had been visiting C University Hospital in Seoul. The data were collected through the scale of self care, self efficacy family support, daily living activity and hope from the 1st to 31st of December 2004. The collected data were analysed using SPSS PC Win 10.0. Result: The average score of self-care performance of subjects was $3.2\pm0.4$ points(4points scale) and significantly different among groups according to age and duration of dialysis. Self care performance of subjects was in a significant positive correlation with family support and hope. Factors affecting self care performance of subjects were family support, duration of hemodialysis, age and daily living function, and the explanatory power of these factors was 31.4%. Conclusion: These findings indicate that is necessary to enhance family support, to develope and apply self-care education programs in consideration of duration of dialysis and age, to have hope-giving communication with patients and their families, and to provide nursing interventions for maintaining patients' daily living function in order to improve the self care performance of hemodialysis patients
This study assumed that chef's shared leadership perceived by chefs in hotel culinary department affects self-efficacy, group efficacy, and job performance. Based on this, the causal relationship between each variable was analyzed through leadership sharing. And based on the results, we tried to suggest a manpower management plan suitable for the hotel culinary department and provide basic data. The subjects of this study were chefs working in 8 luxury hotels in Seoul and Busan. A total of 302 questionnaires were analyzed. For analysis, SPSS 23.0 and AMOS 23.0 statistical packages were used. As a result of empirical analysis, it was found that it had a positive effect on self-efficacy and job performance improvement of hotel cooks. On the other hand, it was found that the chef's shared leadership did not affect job performance through collective efficacy and collective efficacy. In conclusion, it was suggested that a differentiated and efficient manpower management plan is needed to enhance job performance by enhancing shared leadership and self-efficacy for cooks, where collaboration and division of labor are important, and individual ability is important due to the nature of their work.

This study analyzes the relationship between teachers' efficacy and difficulties on job performance depended on self-esteem. To achieve this goal, 282 child care teachers who inhabit J city responded to the questionnaire. The collected data were analyzed by Pearson correlation and multiple regression techniques using the SPSS statistics program. First, the self-esteem was closely associated with child care teachers' efficacy and difficulties on job performance. Second, the self-esteem was the strongest predictor for general teaching efficacy of child care teacher and Infant's protection and guidance also notable variables. This significant result shows the importance of self-esteem. Therefore, it is desirable to encourage child care teachers to experience and raise self-esteem.
