In this paper, a new motor driving circuit is designed to improve the output performance of DC motor, and a controller is developed with the designed circuit. By the designed driving circuit, a controller can continuously drive DC motors by a transformer which has switching signals of a self-generated circuit to operate it. And while the DC motor have a maximum velocity, the reference voltage can be maintained higher value than that of triangle voltage and it makes the DC motor driving transistor ON and maximum power. A 24V-500W DC motor controller is developed with the proposed motor driving circuit, and also a small electric car is made and the driving test of it is executed. The test results shows that it can continuously control go and back speed of motor with 12A driving current. And also, it is verified that the over current and heat detecting function is operating correctly and the rest value of the used battery can be displayed as 6 step from 20 to 100%.
Recently, for development of hardware systems, it has been comercially developed for lane detection system of assistive funtion to drivers. There are so many driving systems that is capable of detecting lane for ideal environment like quite visible lane and sweep curve just like highway, but these kinds of system are hard to apply for self driving system because it is difficult to detect lane in dynamic environment, which have rapid curve or only one sided lane For this paper, we proposed intelligent driving system that is able to detect the lane in case of rapid curve by labeling, or one sided lane by lane prediction. based on experimental results, we prove our lane detection system is able to detect lane not only in ideal environment, but also environment which have rapid curve or one sided lane.
At the Davos Forum in 2016, the Fourth Industrial Revolution, a reference to cloud Schwab, is dramatically changing our lives, and at its height, self-driving cars are emerging as the talk of the day. But there are still many hurdles to overcome before the nation can successfully introduce and establish self-driving cars. In particular, it is necessary to change the paradigm of the legal system centered on human beings to one that includes artificial intelligence. The stable operation of the self-driving car era requires drastic changes to the people-centric legislation system. That is, it is necessary to collect information on the total number of drivers of self-driving cars (what is available), general vehicles on general roads, civil and criminal liability issues in the event of traffic accidents, and collection of insurance problems concerning autonomous driving vehicles. In this study, a separate bill was proposed to address the various legal issues arising from the operation of self-driving cars from a legislative perspective by considering the domestic laws related to road transport, the current state of legislation on foreign soil and legal issues related to self-driving cars.
At the current stage of a semi-autonomous vehicle, there are situations in which the vehicle has to request take-over control to the driver quickly. However, current self-driving cars use only simple messages and warning sounds to notify drivers when handing over control, so they do not adequately convey considerations of individual characteristics or explanations of various emergent situations. This study investigated how visual and auditory information and the efficacy of drivers in self-driving cars can improve efficient take-over requests between the car and the driver. We found that there were significant differences in driver's cognitive load, reliability, safety, usability, and usefulness according to the combination of three visual and auditory information provided in the experiment of the take-over request situation. The results of this study are expected to help design self-driving vehicles that can communicate more safely and efficiently with drivers in urgent control transition situations.

There are several high technologies applied to the driving cars such as self-driving car and connected car for safe and convenient driving. VANET provides useful information such as route selection and gas price by communicating nearby cars and RSUs. VANET prefers CCN rather than traditional TCP/IP stack because CCN offers inherent multicast communication for sharing traffic information as well as traditional unicast. When all participating node rebroadcasts the Interest packets in a Vehicular CCN, the network may suffer from Broadcast Storm Problem. In order to mitigate the effect of the problem and to improve the Data packet transmission, not all but some selected nodes have to rebroadcast the packet. This paper simulates car movements using SUMO and evaluates data transmission performance using ns-3. According to the simulation results, when some selected nodes rebroadcast the Interest packets, the transmission performance improves 10% to 25% depending on the number of requesting nodes.
In this paper, we have recently created self-driving cars and self-parking systems in human-friendly cars that can provide high safety and high convenience functions by recognizing the internal and external situations of automobiles in real time by incorporating next-generation electronics, information communication, and function control technologies. And with the development of connected cars, the ITS (Intelligent Transportation Systems) market is expected to grow rapidly. Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) is an intelligent transportation system that incorporates technologies such as electronics, information, communication, and control into the transportation system, and aims to implement a next-generation transportation system suitable for the information society. By combining the technologies of connected cars and Internet of Things with software features and operating systems, future cars will serve as a service platform to connect the surrounding infrastructure on their own. This study creates a research methodology based on the Enhanced Security Model in Self-Driving Cars model. As for the types of attacks, Availability Attack, Man in the Middle Attack, Imperial Password Use, and Use Inclusive Access Control attack defense methodology are used. Along with the commercialization of 5G, various service models using advanced technologies such as autonomous vehicles, traffic information sharing systems using IoT, and AI-based mobility services are also appearing, and the growth of smart transportation is accelerating. Therefore, research was conducted to defend against hacking based on vulnerabilities of smart cars based on artificial intelligence blockchain.

Recently, Sensor technologies are emerging to prevent traffic accidents and support safe driving in complex environments where human perception may be limited. The UWS is a technology that uses an ultrasonic sensor to detect objects at short distances. While it has the advantage of being simple to use, it also has the disadvantage of having a limited detection distance. The LDWS, on the other hand, is a technology that uses front image processing to detect lane departure and ensure the safety of the driving path. However, it may not be sufficient for determining the driving environment around the vehicle. To overcome these limitations, a system that utilizes FMCW radar is being used. The BSD radar system using FMCW continuously emits signals while driving, and the emitted signals bounce off nearby objects and return to the radar. The key technologies involved in designing the BSD radar system are tracking algorithms for detecting the surrounding situation of the vehicle. This paper presents a tracking algorithm for designing a BSD radar system, while explaining the principles of FMCW radar technology and signal types. Additionally, this paper presents the target tracking procedure and target filter to design an accurate tracking system and performance is verified through simulation.
Recently, the safety in vehicle also has become a hot topic as self-driving car is developed. In passive safety systems such as airbags and seat belts, the system is being changed into an active system that actively grasps the status and behavior of the passengers including the driver to mitigate the risk. Furthermore, it is expected that it will be possible to provide customized services such as seat deformation, air conditioning operation and D.W.D (Distraction While Driving) warning suitable for the passenger by using occupant information. In this paper, we propose robust vehicle occupant detection algorithm based on RGB-Depth-Thermal camera for obtaining the passengers information. The RGB-Depth-Thermal camera sensor system was configured to be robust against various environment. Also, one of the deep learning algorithms, OpenPose, was used for occupant detection. This algorithm is advantageous not only for RGB image but also for thermal image even using existing learned model. The algorithm will be supplemented to acquire high level information such as passenger attitude detection and face recognition mentioned in the introduction and provide customized active convenience service.
The remarkable change in the automobile industry, which is a traditional industrial field, is now evolving into a form of moving toward autonomous functions rather than humans due to various convenience functions and automatic driving or autonomous driving technologies if the person was central when driving the car. This situation is expanding to various industries such as the aviation industry and the drone market, as well as the robot market. The drone market in the aviation industry is being used in various fields due to the unmanned nature of drone operation. Among them, military drones are secret and due to the specificity of technology, details are not disclosed, but as a collection of advanced technologies, they have played a key role in drone development. In this study, the current status of China and the European Union, including the United States, which are major competitors in the drone field, was investigated, and the technologies of major countries were compared and analyzed through the characteristics and operational specifications of the drones currently in operation.
