Methods: Participants were 122 new nurses with clinical experience of 1 year or less as nurses working in a general hospital that is carrying out a pilot project for a new nurse training system. Data were collected using self-report questionnaires which included identification of participants' characteristics, social support of education specialist nurse, reality shock and organizational socialization. Results: The organizational socialization score was 3.07±0.45 points. The results of the stepwise multiple regression showed that factors affecting organizational socialization of new nurses were social support by gender, education specialist nurse and reality shock. These three variables accounted for 72.0% of organizational socialization. Conclusion: These findings suggest that the social support of education specialist nurses be enhanced to increase the organizational socialization of new nurses. There is also a need for a program to decreased the reality shock of new nurses.

To achieve this purpose, this study adopted a quasi-experimental, pre- and post-test research design, categorized subjects into experimental and control groups. Outpatient clinic nurse alloted the subjects by experimental and control groups and nurse researcher meets the experimental subject with in-depth, direct personal interview and advices via telephone for 8 weeks. During this pre and after the treatment period, the level of pain, uncertainty, self-efficacy, family support, and perception for health were measured. Analyses for the measured results for pre- and post-test showed that the supportive program conducted during this study decreased the level of uncertainty and increased the perception of family support in experimental group. So, the supportive healing interpersonal communication service proved to be effective and this result justifies the argument that the role of the nursing professionals at out-patient clinic should be extended for the more qualified care for the patient.

  • The primary objective of this paper is to introduce the application of Human-Machine Interface (HMI) and Augmented Reality (AR) technologies in flight operations. These include: self-check-in, baggage handling, airport security and surveillance, airport operations monitoring, In-Flight Entertainment and Connectivity (IFEC), cockpit design, and cabin crew support. This paper investigates the application status and development trends of HMI and AR technologies for airports and aircraft. These technologies can provide more efficient in-flight passenger service and experience by using AR devices. This paper also discusses the developments such as; the Integrated Control Application (ICA) for the IFEC interface, AR flight simulation training program using the fixed-based simulator, and the AR aircraft cabin interior concept test program. These applications present how HMI and AR techniques can be utilized in actual flight operations. The developed programs in this paper can be applied to their purpose within aircraft interiors and services to enhance efficiency, comfort, and experience.

  • This experimental research is aimed to apply a health promotion program based on Cox's interaction model to such college students as are on the brink of dyslipidemia, so as to investigate the effects of the program on the subjects' blood lipid indexes including total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), high-density lipoprotein (HDL), and low-density lipoproteins (LDL). The subjects are 39 in all including the experimental group comprising 20 and the control group comprising 19. The analyses applied include descriptive statistics using SPSS WIN 18.0, $X^2$-test, independent t-test, and paired t-test. By means of nursing interventions which are an element of client-professional interaction, the following were offered including health information (exercise management, dietary management, health education), emotional support (sharing of experiences, encouragement, self expression), decision-making controlling (counselling by phone), and professional/ technical abilities; and blood lipid indexes were measured before and after the interventions. The results of this research found that TC, TG and LDL decreased significantly and HDL increased significantly in the experimental group, which indicates that the health promotion program was effective.

Moreover, this study was designed to test the moderating effect of social support to provide fundamental and practical data for airline industry. In this study, 2 hypotheses based on literature reviews were employed. A questionnaire was also developed based on previous studies. A convenience sample of 233 flight attendants was surveyed and a total of 214 usable questionnaires were analyzed. Then the data and hypotheses were examined using multiple regression analysis using SPSS 18.0. The results are as follows. Firstly, emotional intelligence was divided into 'self-emotional appraisal', 'other's emotional appraisal', 'regulation of emotion' and 'use of emotion' according to the literature review. Analysis showed that emotional intelligence has partial effect on customer orientation accordingly. Secondly, social support has partial moderating effects between emotional intelligence and customer orientation. Continuous and systematic training program which build up team work should be conducted to administer 'emotional intelligence'.

  • Open source has an amazing spread with the advent of smartphones. Open-source Moodle in e-learning areas are free of LMS (Learning Management System) and the most widely used worldwide, except for the black board commercial programs. One reason is well designed to support collaborative learning and interaction based on constructivist principles, which is the core principle of e-learning in particular that the theoretical basis of educational technology has a high educational effectiveness and benefits. This study examines the operational practices of collaborative learning using open source learning management system Moodle program. It introduces specific information to support the user of the collaborative learning. It looks at the advantages and singularity of collaborative learning in e-learning through examples shown. The purpose of this study is the importance of the relationship between learners and the importance of self-learning of collaborative learning through collaborative learning in a knowledge repository of Moodle. In addition, collaborative learning outcomes are is based on the motivation of learners and playfulness.

  • Purpose: Through a thorough examination of the CCSC (Community Comprehensive Support Center) system in Japan, this study suggests a scheme to provide community-based preventive health care services for the elderly in Korea. Methods: The study inquired into the applicability of the Japanese model by reviewing the data related to the CCSC project, aided by both in-depth interviews with staff in the field and consultations with specialists. Results: Rearrangement of the Visiting Health Management Project system is needed to manage the collective or individual visiting care management for frailty prevention of the elderly in communities. The delegated service system for preventive care in the community, including direct management by one of the public health centers, also needs to be reviewed and the application of stricter standards for the selection of the agency or corporation to run the delegated service is necessary. Long-Term Care Insurance, along with national and local grants, is to be considered as a financial resource for the community-based preventive health care model for the elderly. By making active use of education rooms at district offices, senior citizen centers in neighborhoods for the elderly with easy access can be created. The project needs to raise active supports from communities, develop programs which can be absorbed into particular local cultures, and promote the understanding of the preventive project in local communities. The preventive program should focus on first solving the problems of depression, seclusion, and lack of mobility of the elderly. Second, the program should instruct physical self-management for exercise-nutrition-dental maintenance, and third, the program should strengthen the cognitive abilities of the elderly. In addition, it is necessary to systematize and implement counter-plans of the family and community to protect the elderly who has mental and cognitive problems. Finally, by establishing a network of public health welfare resources based upon research on a community level, assessment and planning for the health of the elderly should be one with their family, and comprehensive consultation and recommendations should be provided to the family. Conclusion: Taking into consideration the experience Japan has had with respect to a similar project, it is appropriate to develop and implement a service system which would combine the Visiting Health Management Project system which has already been established and a preventive health care model for the elderly on a community level.
