The purpose of this study is to investigate the education system for science 34gifted/talented students in Korea. There are fifteen science gifted/talented education centers established in major universities, sixteen science high schools and one research center for the gifted education in science located at KAIST. To examine the selection procedure and the curriculum of the education centers and science high schools, the annual reports of the fifteen education centers and the annual plans of sixteen science high schools are analyzed. About 200 gifted/talented students are employed in the field of science, mathematics and information science at each education center, Multidimentional education system is developed for efficient way of teaching for the gifted. The curriculum and teaching method for each education center is unique and different from the science high schools that follow nationally given form. This study shows new selection method and unique curriculum for the science gifted/talented students employed in the education centers. Also, current situation of science high schools are reported in this study. Finally we suggest the systematic way of developing the education system for the gifted in science in korea.

This paper is aimed to design for qualification structure and criteria for preparation of qualification test of the environmental impact assessor qualifications. In this study, a DACUM(Development A curriculum) method job analysis to extract contents such as task range, eligibility, examination standards, selection criteria of examination questions, examination methods, etc was done by an job analysis committee composed of 9 specialists in the industry and academia. In the first place, this report presents job analysis models by procedures for developing selection criteria of examination questions of the environmental impact assessor. The first step is preparation for job analysis(data research, interviews and selection of experts), the second step the establishment of job models(first expert council and site study), the third step the drawn-out of knowledge, skills, and tools(the second expert council and site study), the fourth step the selection of courses and an examination subject(the third expert council), the fifth step the establishment of guidelines for making questions(the third site study).

Defense reform our military for the globalization of information. Scientific command structure, troop structure, unit structure, step-by-step into the power structure while promoting a history of quantitative-oriented structure, and structure of the quality of state-of-the-art technology-driven transition in the middle of the bottle numberplans about the current 3.3-fold increase in reducing the cadre(officers and NCOs). The system of high-school recently diversified, but there are criticisms that general high-schools relatively fall into crisis. The purpose of this paper is to discuss suggestion on the enhancing educational capacity of general high-school in Gyeongsangbuk-do. In this paper, there needs to be evoke sympathy for development, strengthen educational responsibility, substantially guarantee curriculum autonomy, pursuit diversity of student-customized curriculum, integrate curriculum and career education, and flexibly manage teacher selection and disposition for educational capacity of general high-school. In a career educational point of view, there needs to be organize curriculum coincidentally with students' career, aptitude and interest, to describe clearly roles of school and community for career education, and to guarantee the right of subject choice in school. We should believe normalization of general high-school is namely substantiality of career education.

The purpose of this paper is to find out how the education for collection development has been changed and what are the contents of the collection development-related courses. The author tried to search some historical backgrounds on how selection of books became collection development and management. As for the ducation for collection development, the changes the course titles dealing with collection development were surveyed, and the contents of the courses provided by the Departments of Library and Information Science were analyzed. It was found out that though the course titles have been changed from selection of materials collection development, the contents showed their emphases on such selection-oriented topics as selection tools and acquisitions. It is concluded that as far as the contents are concerned, most of the important components for collection development have been taught. Based on the findings, a few suggestions including that there should be efforts to narrow the gap between the theories taught at library schools and the practices performed by librarians are recommended.

Children's early mathematics education sets the tone for their later learning of mathematics. So the importance of early mathematics education has been emphasized day by day and there has been growing interest in it. The purpose of this study is to examine the possibility of including standards for kindergarten in mathematics curriculum and to select the specific content knowledge for designing mathematics curriculum focusing on continuity of kindergarten and first grade. To do this, continuity between kindergarten mathematics and the first grade mathematics were examined by investigating the five countries' mathematics curricula which include kindergarten level. Based on the results, the content standards of kindergarten mathematics were constituted in the categories of 'number and operation', 'geometry', 'measurement', 'pattern', and 'data and chance', following the some principles of selection. Finally, the implications for attainment of continuity between kindergarten and elementary mathematics were induced, containing the discussion of the methods for teaching and learning mathematics in the kindergarten level.

This study intends to suggest implications by comparing the high school mathematics curricula between Korea and the UK ahead of the 2022 revision of the mathematics curriculum. The UK has revised assessments to emphasize mathematics after age 16 since 2017. Thus, in this study, the contents of Key Stage 4, Core Maths and A-level, which correspond to the UK high school mathematics curriculum, were examined and compared with Korean high school math subjects. In the UK, mathematics education is more emphasized at the high school level. The national curriculum emphasized 'numeracy and mathematics', and students' selection for mathematics courses were expanded. In order to prepare for the future society, new mathematics subjects and evaluations were developed and implemented, and the A-level mathematics was improved. In addition, the subject-centered content was developed and continuously handled from Key Stage 3 to the high school stage. It was structured to facilitate mathematics' internal and external connection by linking it with the subjects of other areas.

The purpose of this study was to develop the quality of the textbook and to find out reasonable selection and structure by examining and analyzing the cognition of teacher and students on the structure and contents of elementary science textbook in the 7th curriculum. The findings of this study were as follows: First, as a result of the students’ cognition, their interest level of the learning contents was high and the degree of the difficulty of the learning contents was low on the whole. Second, as a result of the teachers’ cognition of contents of the textbook, teachers who taught third graders understood that the third graders have relatively much contents to be studied and the level of the contents of the textbook was high. On the other hand, fourth graders’ teachers recognized that contents to be studied and the level of the contents were appropriate. And they understood that there were much work to be studied in the units which were difficult and there were difference between contents to be studied and the degree of the difficulty in some units such as life or the earth fold. Third, as a result of the teachers' cognition of structure of the textbook. teachers were very affirmative to reduce school hours. They understood that current numbers and scale of the unit were appropriate. Teachers were satisfied with the structure of elementary science textbook in the 7th curriculum on the whole.

The purpose of the present study was to develop a new English language model of an integrated syllabus for kindergarteners, in order to teach and learn English. An English syllabus is a tool for realizing the goals of a curriculum, in the planning of language teaching that is primarily concerned with content and method components. Thus appropriate syllabus design can play an important role on the whole effectiveness of early English education, because it presents selection and grading of content and method for English textbooks. The basic principle of the present syllabus is based on the national curriculum of kindergartens. Developing an English syllabus model for kindergarteners could suggest standards and directions for teaching and writing adequate English textbooks for kindergarteners. The syllabus model integrates competence in communication using a proportional approach and focussing on the characteristics of kindergarteners. This study presented an integrated English syllabus for kindergarteners at the ages of five, six, and seven.

Recently, the Ministry of Education is striving to move education and school libraries toward the information age and to create an atmosphere open education. School libraries need to be furnished with lots of useful materials for the curriculum of open education. The results of this study can be summarized as follows. 1. Marketing techniques can be adopted in the areas such as collection development, service fee, selection of the place of library, advertising, better library user organization etc. 3. School libraries should be total educational information centers to realize educational goal and the curricular. 4. Procedures for marketing strategies for school libraries are embodied in mission statement, environmental analysis, marketing audit, marketing mix, marketing segmentation, evaluation methods etc. 5. The 4 "Ps", product, price, place, promotion make up the marketing mix for school libraries.libraries.
