  • Since the creation of the first Bitcoin blockchain in 2009, the number of cryptocurrency users has steadily increased. However, the number of hacking attacks targeting assets stored in these users' cryptocurrency wallets is also increasing. Therefore, we evaluate the security of the wallets currently on the market to ensure that they are safe. We first conduct threat modeling to identify threats to cryptocurrency wallets and identify the security requirements. Second, based on the derived security requirements, we utilize attack trees and Bayesian network analysis to quantitatively measure the risks inherent in each wallet and compare them. According to the results, the average total risk in software wallets is 1.22 times greater than that in hardware wallets. In the comparison of different hardware wallets, we found that the total risk inherent to the Trezor One wallet, which has a general-purpose MCU, is 1.11 times greater than that of the Ledger Nano S wallet, which has a secure element. However, use of a secure element in a cryptocurrency wallet has been shown to be less effective at reducing risks.

  • Due to the rapid spread of the COVID-19 virus in December 2019, the working environment was rapidly converted to telecommuting. However, since the defense industry is an organization that handles technology related to the military, the network separation policy is applied, so there are many restrictions on the application of telecommuting. Telecommuting is a global change and an urgent task considering the rapidly changing environment in the future. Currently, in order for defense companies to implement telecommuting, VPN, VDI, and network interlocking systems must be applied as essential elements. Eventually, some contact points will inevitably occur, which will increase security vulnerabilities, and strong security management is important. Therefore, in this paper, attack types are selected and threats are analyzed based on the attack tactics of the MITER ATT&CK Framework, which is periodically announced by MITER in the US to systematically detect and respond to cyber attacks. Then, by applying STRIDE threat modeling, security threats are classified and specific security requirements are presented.

  • RFID technology can help automatically and remotely identify objects, which raises many security concerns. We review and categorize several RFID security and privacy solutions, and conclude that the most promising and low-cost approach currently attracts little academic attention. We therefore concluded that, from a privacy perspective, the user scheme is an important strategy for meeting the consumer's needs. Furthermore, we call for the privacy research community to put more effort into this line of thinking about RFID privacy.

  • Purpose Issues related to information security have been a crucial topic of interest to researchers and practitioners in the IT/IS field. This study develops a research model based on a Structure-Conduct-Outcome (SCO) framework for the social exchange relationship between employees and organizations regarding information security. Design/methodology/approach In applying an SCO framework to information security, structure and conduct are activities imposed on employees within an organizational context; outcomes are activities that protect information security from an employee. Data were collected from 438 employees working in manufacturing and service firms currently implementing an information security policy in South Korea. Structural equation modeling (SEM) with AMOS 22.0 is used to test the validation of the measurement model and the proposed casual relationships in the research model. Findings The results demonstrate support for the relationships between predicting variables in organization structure (security policy and physical security system) and the outcome variables in organization conduct (top management support, security education program, and security visibility). Results confirm that the three variables in organization conduct had a positive effect on individual outcome (security knowledge and compliance intention).

  • The tourism industry is influenced by a large number of factors that affect the development scenarios of the tourism in different ways. At the same time, tourism is an important component of the national economy of any state, forms its image, investment attractiveness, is a source of income and a stimulus for business development. The aim of the article is to conduct an empirical study to identify the importance of cognitive determinants in the development of tourism. The study used general and special methods: systems analysis, synthesis, grouping, systematization, cognitive modeling, cognitive map, pulse method, predictive extrapolation. Target factors, indicators, and control factors influencing the development of tourism in Ukraine are determined and a cognitive model is built, which graphically reflects the nature of the influence of these factors. Four main scenarios of the Ukrainian tourism industry are established on the basis of creating a matrix of adjacency of an oriented graph and forecast modeling based on a scenario approach. The practical significance of the obtained results lies in the possibility of their use to forecast the prospects of tourism development in Ukraine, the definition of state policy to support the industry that will promote international and domestic tourism.

  • Super app is an application that provides a variety of services in a unified interface within a single platform. With the acceleration of digital transformation, super apps are becoming more prevalent. This study aims to suggest service enhancement measures by analyzing the user review data before and after the transition to a super app. To this end, user review data from a payment-based super app(Shinhan Play) were collected and studied via topic modeling. Moreover, a matrix for assessing the importance and usefulness of topics is introduced, which relies on the eigenvector centrality of the inter-topic network obtained through topic modeling and the number of review recommendations. This allowed us to identify and categorize topics with high utility and impact. Prior to the transition, the factors contributing to user satisfaction included 'payment service,' 'additional service,' and 'improvement.' Following the transition, user satisfaction was associated with 'payment service' and 'integrated UX.' Conversely, dissatisfaction factors before the transition encompassed issues related to 'signup/installation,' 'payment error/response,' 'security authentication,' and 'security error.' Following the transition, user dissatisfaction arose from concerns regarding 'update/error response' and 'UX/UI.' The research results are expected to be used as a basis for establishing strategies to strengthen service competitiveness by making super app services more user-oriented.

  • Purpose As information management grows in importance around the world, organizations are investing in information security technology. However, the higher the level of information security technology in an organization, the higher the techno-stress of employees. The purpose of this study is to suggest stress factors related to information security technology that affect the reduction of employees' intention to comply with information security and to suggest ways to alleviate stress. Design/methodology/approach The research presented a model for mitigating technical stress related to information security based on technical stress theory and person-organization fit theory. 346 questionnaire data were analyzed from the members of the organization who applied the information security technology, and the research hypothesis was verified through the structural equation modeling. Findings The hypothesis test confirms that security-related techno-stress reduces the information security compliance intention of employees, organizational technical support mitigates technical stress, and person-organization fitness mitigates the negative relationship between techno-stress and compliance intention. The results of the study contribute to the organization's strategy for minimizing the reduction of the information security compliance intention of employees, and are meaningful in that the theoretical basis for mitigating techno-stress is provided in the field of information security.

  • Numerous types of models have been developed in recent years in response to the cyber threat posed by worms in order to analyze their propagation and predict their spread. Some of the most important ones involve mathematical modeling techniques such as Epidemic, AAWP (Analytical Active Worm Propagation Modeling) and LAAWP (Local AAWP). However, most models have several inherent limitations. For instance, they target worms that employ random scanning in the entire nv4 network and fail to consider the effects of countermeasures, making it difficult to analyze the extent of damage done by them and the effects of countermeasures in a specific network. This paper extends the equations and parameters of AAWP and LAAWP and suggests ALAAWP (Advanced LAAWP), a new worm simulation technique that rectifies the drawbacks of existing models.
