  • Security threats are increasing with interest due to the mass spread of smart devices, and vulnerabilities in developed applications are being exposed while mobile malicious codes are spreading. The government and companies provide various applications for the public, and for reliability and security of applications, security checks are required during application development. In this paper, among the security threats that can occur in the mobile service environment, we set up the vulnerability analysis items to respond to security threats when developing Android-based applications. Based on the set analysis items, vulnerability analysis was performed by examining three applications of public institutions and private companies currently operating as mobile applications. As a result of application security checks used by three public institutions and companies, authority management and open module stability management were well managed. However, it was confirmed that many security vulnerabilities were found in input value verification, outside transmit data management, and data management. It is believed that it will contribute to improving the safety of mobile applications through the case of vulnerability analysis for Android application security.

  • With the development of IT technology, various services such as artificial intelligence and autonomous vehicles are being introduced, and many changes are taking place in our lives. However, if secure security is not provided, it will cause many risks, so the information security becomes more important. In this paper, we analyzed the research trends of main themes of information security over time. In order to conduct the research, 'Information Security' was searched in the Web of Science database. Using the abstracts of theses published from 1991 to 2016, we derived main research topics through topic modeling and time series regression analysis. The topic modeling results showed that the research topics were Information technology, system access, attack, threat, risk management, network type, security management, security awareness, certification level, information protection organization, security policy, access control, personal information, security investment, computing environment, investment cost, system structure, authentication method, user behavior, encryption. The time series regression results indicated that all the topics were hot topics.

  • The "Risk management" and "Security monitoring" activities for cyber security are deeply correlated in that they prepare for future security threats and minimize security incidents. In addition, it is effective to apply a pattern model that visually demonstrates to an administrator the threat to that information asset in both the risk management and the security system areas. Validated pattern models have long-standing "control chart" models in the traditional quality control sector, but lack the use of information systems in cyber risk management and security systems. In this paper, a cyber Security Risk Monitoring (SRM) system that integrates risk management and a security system was designed. The SRM presents a strategy for applying 'security control' using the pattern of 'control charts'. The security measures were integrated with the existing set of standardized security measures, ISMS, NIST SP 800-53 and CC. Using this information, we analyzed the warning trends of the cyber crisis in Korea for four years from 2014 to 2018 and this enables us to establish more flexible security measures in the future.

  • Until now, a lot of research on cyber security have been tried, but there have been few studies on overall relationships, including internal factors and external factors. Therefore, this study examined cyber security management considering not only internal elements of SMEs but also corporate management environment. The first qualitative analysis and the second quantitative analysis were conducted through mixed method research. Qualitative analysis was conducted through a semi-structured interview method, and three themes were found: insufficient cyber security management system, internal noncooperation for cyber security, and problems derived from decision-making system. In the quantitative analysis, multiple regression analysis was conducted on the data obtained through the questionnaire. The perception of cyber threats and internal support among independent variables positively influenced the cyber security management system or the dependent variable. Through this study, internal variables had a causal impact on the cyber security management system rather than external environment variables. This implies that the variables related to the organizational culture such as employees' perception are important. These results are expected to provide practical significance for enhancing the cyber security management system in SMEs.

  • As new information technology emerges, companies are introducing an Enterprise Security Management system to cope with new security threats, reducing redundant investments and waste of resources and counteracting security threats. Therefore, it is necessary to construct a security evaluation metric based on related standards to demonstrate that the Enterprise Security Management(ESM) System meets security. Therefore, in order to construct a metric for evaluating the security of the ESM, this study analyzed the security quality related requirements of the ESM and constructed a metric for measuring the degree of satisfaction. This metric provides synergies through the unification of security assessments that comply with ISO/IEC 15408 and ISO/IEC 25000 standards. It is expected that the evaluation model of the security quality level of ESM will be established and the evaluation method of ESM will be standardized in the future.

  • As information security is becoming more important today, efforts in managing information security more efficiently is becoming greater. Each department such as Ministry of Security and Public Administration, Ministry of Science, Ministry of Education, National Intelligence Service, etc. is established screening criteria for information security and conducted the evaluation. Various information security certification and evaluation for public institutions effectively help to improve the level of information security. However, there are limitations of efficient security management because the examination to be performed frequently by each department. In this paper, we analyze screening criteria of the information security management that is being conducted in the public institutions. We also present limitations of information security management and the direction of improving the limitations.

  • Security infrastructure of Educational Network responds to threats by collecting and analyzing security events from various information protection system based on the integrated management system. Even if this system provides useful and detailed information to the administrator, there are some problems that this system does not provide effective response process and management systems for various threatening situations and the simultaneous threat processes. To solve this problem, we propose and develop security agents that enable the administrator to effectively manage integrated security for Educational Network. The proposed solution provides the administrator with efficient management techniques and process scheduling for various security events so that the administrator can response promptly to problems with the initial threat to Educational Network.

  • Various information sources and the increasing vulnerabilities of information systems could increase the risks of a business. The successful management of business risks depends on appropriate level of risks in business. Business risk management would be conducted in terms of financial risk management and information security management. The financial management and the information security management could not achieve an integrated business risk management. For developing the integrated business risk management, this study analyzes the various information security management systems such as ISMS, EA, ISO27001, COBIT, SPICE, Auditing. This study analyzes information security systems, which could be utilized in developing business risk management.

  • In this paper, we aim to propose cyber security considerations and countermeasures for infrastructure and services in the UAM(Urban Air Mobility) Air Traffic Management field, which is one of the key elements of the UAM market that has not yet bloomed. Air traffic management is an important factor for safe navigation and social acceptance of UAM. In order to realize air traffic management, infrastructure and services based on solid network connectivity must be established. And for industries where connectivity is the core component, it can become an infiltration route for cyber threats. Therefore, cyber security is essential for the infrastructure and services. In detail, we will look into the definition of the existing air traffic management field and the cyber threats. In addition, we intend to identify cyber security threat scenarios that may occur in the newly designed UAM air traffic management infrastructure. Moreover, in order to study the cyber security countermeasures of the UAM air traffic management infrastructure, there will be analysis of the UAM operation concept. As a result, countermeasures applicable to the infrastructure and service fields will be suggested by referring to the cyber security frameworks.
