  • We demonstrated in previous study that protopanaxadiol and protopanxatriol saponins show antinociceptive activity in acetic acid induced writhing test and in the second phase (11-40 min) of formalin test but not tail-flick test. To identify further which ginsenoside has antinociceptive activity among various ginseng saponins, we have investigated antinociceptive effects of several ginsenosides using writhing and formalin test. Ginsenoside Rc, Rd, Re, and Rf induced antinociception in writhing test. These four ginsenosides also induced antinociception in the second phase of formalin (11-40 min) test but these ginsenosides showed a slight antinociception in the first phase (010 min) of formalin test except ginsenoside Rf. The antinociceptive effects induced by the ginsenosides were dose dependent and were not blocked by an opioid receptor antagonist, naloxone. The order of antinociceptive potency was Rd > Rc > Re > Rf in the formalin test. However, these ginsenosides did not show any significant analgesic effects in a tail-flick test. These results suggest that ginsenosides such as Rc, Rd, Re, and Rf inhibit tonic pain rather than acute pain induced by noxious heat. These results also indicate that the antinociceptive activity. Induced by ginsenosides may be one of the actions for pharmacological effects of Panax ginseng.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the mediating effects of anger level on the effects of middle school students' school adjustment on smartphone addiction. In order to accomplish the purpose of this study, the following research problems were set up. First, what is the relationship between Chinese smartphone addiction, anger level, and school adjustment of Chinese middle school students? Second, what is the effect of smartphone addiction on middle school students' anger level and school adjustment? Third, what is the mediating effect of the level of anger in the process of affecting the school adjustment to smartphone addiction by Chinese middle school students? The subjects of this study were five city schools and seven municipal schools in J-do, among which 450 students were enrolled from April 23 to May 18, 2018. A total of 439 copies were used for the analysis, except for 11 unexplained questionnaires or unfairly responded to the collected questionnaires. The conclusions based on the results of this study are as follows. First, there are negative correlations between the sub-factors of smartphone addiction and the sub-factors of school adjustment. Among them, tolerance is only positively correlated with the peer relationship. The sub-factors of smartphone addiction have negatively correlated with anger expression, anger control, and anger suppression. Second, the effect of sub-factors of smartphone addiction on the level of anger was 3.6%, and the effect on school adjustment was 4.2%. Third, The anger level of the middle school students affected the school adjustment by the smartphone addiction has a partial mediating effect of 0.8%.

  • In this study, there are two research objectives. First, we identified the impact of service quality on customer satisfaction and intention to repurchase in the Internet shopping mall. Second, we tried to analyze the mediating effects of the customer satisfaction on the relationship between service quality and intention to repurchase. Based on past research and theoretical discussions, we developed a research model in terms of service quality and intention to repurchase in the Internet shopping mall. In order to verify our research model, we analyzed 492 survey data of consumers who had experiences in the Internet shopping mall in China. We found that sub-factors of the service quality in the Internet shopping mall have positive effects on customer satisfaction and repurchase intention through the survey data analysis. Among the five factors of service quality in the Internet shopping mall, except assurance, the positive effects of tangibility, responsiveness, empathy and reliability on repurchase intention are statistically significant. In addition, we found mediating effects of customer satisfaction in the Internet shopping mall on the relationship between service quality and intention to repurchase.

  • Objective: The study aimed to examine the impact of a supportive school environment on children's prosocial behavior by investigating the sequential mediating effects of children's self-esteem and happiness. Methods: Results of the study were obtained by analysing data collected from 633 nine-year-old children in the 10th wave of the Panel Study on Korean Children(2017). The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, correlation analysis and significance of mediated pathways using SPSS 23.0 and PROCESS macro 3.3. Results: First, children's self-esteem did not have mediational effects with respect to a supportive school environment and children's prosocial behavior. Second, children's happiness had mediational effects with respect to a supportive school environment and children's prosocial behavior. Lastly, a supportive school environment affects children's self-esteem, which affects children's happiness, thereby promoting children's prosocial behavior. Conclusion/Implications: In order to promote children's prosocial behavior, we should put emphasis on developing a supportive school environment, and increasing children's self-esteem and happiness. It is important that teachers treat children and classmates treat each other with a warm attitude so that they can value themselves and feel happiness in their lives.

  • In order to investigate the effect of the second phase on Al2O3 matrix, SiC whisker was dispersed in Al2O3 matrix as a second phase over the content range of 5vol% to 20vol%. To this mixture, Y2O3 or TiO2 powder was added as a sintering additive before isostatically pressing and pressureless sintering at 1800-190$0^{\circ}C$ for 90min in N2 atmosphere. With increasing SiC whisker content, relative densities of composites were decreased and the grain growth of Al2O3 was restricted. When Y2O3 was added as a sintering aid the sintering temperature was 180$0^{\circ}C$, the maximum values of flexural strength, hardness and fracture toughness were 537MPa, 12.1GPa, 3.7MPa.m1/2, respectively. However, when the sintering temperature was elevated to 190$0^{\circ}C$, maximum values of flexural strength, hardness and fracture toughness were 453MPa, 17.5GPa, 4.9MPa.m1/2, respectively. Improved mechanical properties are assumed to be attributed to the crack deflection by the second phase SiC whisker and whisker pullout mechanism.

  • The purpose of this study was to compare the differences according to the visual selection and rotation order during sequential rotational jump for female dancers of a Korean ballet company by classifying them into take-off and landing sections. 10 subjects (age: 26.0±2.9 yrs, height: 163.4±3.3 cm, weight: 46.8±3.6 kg, ballet career: 12.3±5.9 yrs) participated in the study. Using a 3D motion analyzer and a force platform, the height of the body center and the ground reaction force during take-off and landing were measured. According to the visual condition (using both eyes, using left eye, using right eye) and rotation order (first rotation, second rotation), it was analyzed through repeated measurement two-way analysis. Height of the CM was higher in the first jump. In take-off, Fx was lateral force of left foot and medial force of right foot were strong in second rotation, and Fy was forward force was strong in first rotation of right foot. Fz was no significant. In landing, Fy showed backward force was strong when landing the second time from the left foot, and the backward force was strong when using the left sight from the right foot. Fz was strong on the second landing on the left foot and the first landing on the right foot.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine comics library user's behavioral intention using the extended theory of planned behavior. In order to verify the effects of variables, such extended variables as comics likeability and service factor were added to such basic variables of the theory of planned behavior as subjective norm, attitude and behavioral control. Study findings are as follows: user's attitude had the biggest effects on their behavioral intention of reuse of Comics Library, and it was followed by subjective norm, service quality and perceived behavioral control, in order. Comics likeability exceptionally had no direct effects on behavioral intention, but it had indirect effects via the mediation of attitude, subjective norm and perceived behavioral control. And second, comics likeability and service quality had power of explanation for such basic variables as attitude, subjective norm and perceived behavioral control, respectively, thus verifying their effects on behavioral intention as extended variables.
