Currently, unmanned military vehicles under development in Korea have more devices to carry out various missions, and interface cables between them are also increasing. In addition, due to a small space problem inside the unmanned vehicle, devices are required to be miniaturized and integrated. For two reasons, connectors also need to be selected, which makes them vulnerable to noise due to the closer distance between the pins. In this paper, we analyzed how much the magnetic field produced by noise at the connector pin where cable twist is released affects the surrounding pin and presented the guide for optimal pin placement. First, the effect of magnetic field is greater than the crosstalk between pin and pin. Second, the magnetic field on both sides between + and - is strong when approaching one step with noise source. Third, the magnetic field strength is improved when setting the ground pin as the ground pin between the noise and the original signal when approaching the A noise source and the two steps. Fourth, in the case of a differential mode communication, the optimal placement area of the sensitive signal was presented according to positions Tx± and Rx±.
Purpose - Recently, many theoretical researches suggested that arts-based marketing strategies provide many benefits for marketers to differentiate their brand or product from others. However, there has been little research focusing on consumers' response types from artwork (artifact-emotion appraisal; A-emotion vs. represented world-emotion appraisal; R-emotion). In order to deepen our understanding of arts-based marketing strategies, we addressed a research question related to how artwork-provoked consumers' emotional response can impact the perceived evaluation of art infused products. Research design, data, and methodology - To answer the research question, we conducted a pretest and one experimental study. The experimental study was 2(art-provoked response type: A-emotion vs. R-emotion) by 2(emotional valence: positive vs. negative) by 2(produce type: hedonic vs. utilitarian) mixed design. The art-provoked response type and emotional valence were between-subject design and product type was within subject design. For the experimental study, 108 undergraduate students and graduate students were randomly assigned to one of 4 conditions (A-emotion-positive, A-emotion-negative, R-emotion-positive, R-emotion-negative). Participants reported their evaluation of art-infused product and other items for a manipulation check. Results - The major results from the experimental study are as follow. First, participant's art-provoked response type influenced evaluation of art infused products differently. More specifically, the effect of emotional valence of artwork on product evaluation was not significant in A-emotion. However, in R-emotion, relative to the product with artwork provoked negative emotional valence, the product with artwork provoked positive emotional valence elicited significantly higher product evaluation. Second, product type also affected the art infusion effect significantly. Particularly, the differential effect of participant's art-provoked response type on product evaluation revealed when it is for a utilitarian product, but not for a hedonic product. Conclusions - Theoretically, the findings of this study expand academic research on art infusion. And the findings also can be extrapolated to generate lots of implication for marketers. In sum, when they plan art marketing strategies to build the favorable relationship with their customers, they need to consider customers' response type of an infused art and product type.

Recently the demand for projected capacitance touch screens is sharply growing especially for large screens for medical devices, PC monitors and TVs. Large touch screens in general need a controller of higher complexity. They usually have a larger number of driving and sensing lines, and hence it takes longer to scan one frame for touch detection leading to a low frame scan rate. In this paper, a novel touch screen control technique is presented, which scans each frame in two steps of simultaneous multi-channel driving. The first step is to drive all driving lines simultaneously and determine which sensing lines have any touch. The second step is to sequentially rescan only the touched sensing lines, and determine exact positions of the touches. This technique can substantially increase the frame scan rate. This technique has been implemented using an FPGA and an AFE board, and tested using a commercial 23-inch touch screen panel. Experimental results show that the proposed technique improves the frame scan rate by 8.4 times for the 23-inch touch screen panel over conventional methods.

The purpose of this study is to provide basic data for the development of school education and employment policy by analyzing the differences between image of meister high school students anticipated by industrial HR managers and image actually perceived. For this, semantic differential method developed by Osgood (1957) was selected as the study tool. To find out images of meister high school students, validity of 50 adjectives suggested by Osgood and 21 additional adjectives used in previous studies was reviewed by 10 experts. Final 20 adjectives were selected by excluding adjectives that fail to satisfy validity of contents. Proportional sampling in metropolitan and non-metropolitan areas was done to select 350 final survey samples. A total of 600 surveys were distributed and 230 were returned. Return rate was 38.3%. The results of this study are as follows. First, image of meister high school students anticipated by industrial HR managers showed average score of 2.49, which indicates a positive image. In addition, factor analysis was performed to classify adjectives into groups, and they were divided into three factors including external factor, way of thinking factor, and internal (personality) factor. Second, image of meister high school students currently perceived by industrial HR managers showed average score of 3.24, which indicates a positive image. Third, image of meister high school students currently perceived by industrial HR managers was not as positive as image they anticipate.
This study analyzed the contents of changes in educational policy from the perspective of policy learning, based on the awareness of the lack of academic efforts to identify such phenomena despite repeated policy failures in educational policy. To this end, it has been more than 20 years since the policy was established, but it was analyzed using the policy analysis case of the teacher incentive policy, which still had severe conflicts between the government and teacher unions. As a result of the analysis, first, there were 11 changes in the policy content from the Kim Dae-jung administration to the Moon Jae-in administration. Whenever the government was newly launched, not only the contents of the policy for teacher incentives changed, but also the policy changes continued during the same government period. Second, when analyzing what kind of policy learning took place at the stage of change in each government's policy content, most of them were 'political policy learning' or 'instrumental policy learning'. Rather than a fundamental discussion about the goal of the policy, it has only repeated policy learning that adjusts only the ratio of differential payments to defend the teacher incentive policy. In order to recover from this current situation, this study suggests that it is necessary to present an alternative policy that can change the rigid society of teachers through 'social policy learning', which examines the basic values and strategies of teacher incentive policies.
In this study, domestic academic journal papers on tax compliance, tax consciousness, and faithful tax payment (hereinafter referred to as "tax compliance") were comprehensively analyzed from an interdisciplinary perspective as a representative research topic in the field of tax science. To achieve the research purpose, topic modeling technique was applied as part of text mining. In the flow of data collection-keyword preprocessing-topic model analysis, potential research topics were presented from tax compliance related keywords registered by the researcher in a total of 347 papers. The results of this study can be summarized as follows. First, in the keyword analysis, keywords such as tax investigation, tax avoidance, and honest tax reporting system were included in the top 5 keywords based on simple term-frequency, and in the TF-IDF value considering the relative importance of keywords, they were also included in the top 5 keywords. On the other hand, the keyword, tax evasion, was included in the top keyword based on the TF-IDF value, whereas it was not highlighted in the simple term-frequency. Second, eight potential research topics were derived through topic modeling. The topics covered are (1) tax fairness and suppression of tax offenses, (2) the ideology of the tax law and the validity of tax policies, (3) the principle of substance over form and guarantee of tax receivables (4) tax compliance costs and tax administration services, (5) the tax returns self- assessment system and tax experts, (6) tax climate and strategic tax behavior, (7) multifaceted tax behavior and differential compliance intentions, (8) tax information system and tax resource management. The research comprehensively looked at the various perspectives on the tax compliance from an interdisciplinary perspective, thereby comprehensively grasping past research trends on tax compliance and suggesting the direction of future research.
This study explores differential value implications of R&D expenditure across firms, especially in terms of growth potential of small businesses. Analyzing Korean listed firms for the period from 1982 to 2014, we document the followings. First, large firms, defined as the top quintile group based on market capitalization, have spent higher R&D expenditure compared to small (bottom quintile group) and medium (middle quintile groups) firms and the difference between groups has enlarged over time. Relatedly, the persistence of R&D spending, measured by the association between current R&D expenditure and cumulative future R&D expenditure over the next five years, is lowest in small firms. Second, R&D of large (small) firms are more (less) likely to generate operating profits over the next five years. Additional analyses suggest that the relation between R&D and gross margin is strongest in large firms, suggesting that R&D underlies their competitiveness in the product market. Third, small firms have borne the highest uncertainty related to R&D investment proxied by the association between current R&D and volatility of future earnings. As a result, the likelihood of R&D leading to future patents is also lowest in small firms. Fourth, the probability of moving up to the next size group within the next five years is significantly lower in small firms than others. Finally, we find that the divergence in R&D expenditure between large and small firms is positively associated with product market concentration. Overall, our findings confirm the small business growth trap in relation to R&D investment.
The physics-informed neural network (PINN) has been proposed to overcome the limitations of various numerical methods used to solve partial differential equations (PDEs) and the drawbacks of purely data-driven machine learning. The PINN directly applies PDEs to the construction of the loss function, introducing physical constraints to machine learning training. This technique can also be applied to wave equation modeling. However, to solve the wave equation using the PINN, second-order differentiations with respect to input data must be performed during neural network training, and the resulting wavefields contain complex dynamical phenomena, requiring careful strategies. This tutorial elucidates the fundamental concepts of the PINN and discusses considerations for wave equation modeling using the PINN approach. These considerations include spatial coordinate normalization, the selection of activation functions, and strategies for incorporating physics loss. Our experimental results demonstrated that normalizing the spatial coordinates of the training data leads to a more accurate reflection of initial conditions in neural network training for wave equation modeling. Furthermore, the characteristics of various functions were compared to select an appropriate activation function for wavefield prediction using neural networks. These comparisons focused on their differentiation with respect to input data and their convergence properties. Finally, the results of two scenarios for incorporating physics loss into the loss function during neural network training were compared. Through numerical experiments, a curriculum-based learning strategy, applying physics loss after the initial training steps, was more effective than utilizing physics loss from the early training steps. In addition, the effectiveness of the PINN technique was confirmed by comparing these results with those of training without any use of physics loss.

This study identified the materials and construction methods of 'Old Wall' in 13 villages which were designated as National Registered Cultural Heritage at the time of designation and examined the their structural changes based on field survey. The results are as follows: First, the 'Old Wall' consisted of 10 Soil-Stone Wall and 5 Stone Wall. At the time of designation, Stone Wall, which was built irregularly by dry-construction of natural stones, is similar in shape, but Soil-Stone Wall showed difference by the construction method of making used stones, joints, and faces. Second, the study extracted the changes of 'Old Wall' by repair and examined the changes of construction methods as well as the substitution and addition of materials of structure. The wall-roof was built with cement roof-tile and asbestos slate which have the advantage improve durability and cost-effectiveness. In addition, tile-mouth soil was added to korean traditional roof-tile to prevent rainwater from flowing in. Besides, to improve constructional convenience, the natural stone of the wall-body was replaced with blast stone, float stone and cut stone. Cement block, cement brick and cement mortar were frequently used to repair as well. As Soil-Stone Wall was transformed from irregular pattern-construction to comb pattern-construction and wet-construction was changed to dry-construction, it caused landscape and structural problems. Also, the layer of cement mortar applied to wall-foundation blocked the flow of rainwater that was induced by dry-construction of natural stones. Third, the study regarded that the problem with the repair of 'Old Wall' may occur as it is located in living space, because the owner of the wall could repair for the minor damages without technical knowledge. In addition, it is difficult for repair companies in charge of maintenance of Cultural Heritage to supply local materials, and it is differential construction specifications are not applied.
This study investigated the differential interactive effects of the combination of driving confidence and sensation-seeking on driving anger among different age groups, by using correlation analysis, a hierarchical regression and ANOVAs for the data gathered through the questionnaires administrated in a form of face-to-face interview. The results showed the followings. First, males tended to show higher level in driving anger than females. Second, whereas sensation-seeking was positively correlated with driving anger, age and driving experience were negatively correlated with driving anger, respectively. Third, although there was no significant relationship between driving confidence and driving anger among the drivers aged under 40 years, the drivers aged over 40 years showed higher level of driving anger as their driving confidence increased. Forth, level of sensation-seeking was found to be a strong predictor of driving anger in all age groups. Fifth, driving confidence and sensation-seeking appeared to affect the level of driving anger interactively among drivers aged under 40 years or over 65 years, resulting in higher driving anger only when both the levels of driving confidence and sensation-seeking were high. In contrast, driving confidence and sensation-seeking affected driving anger independently among the drivers aged 30-49 years. Implication and suggestion were discussed.
