레몬 하우스 재배에 있어 시기별 과즙의 Hesperidin 함량변화에 따른 적정수확 기준 (Index of Optimum Harvest Time as Seasonal Hesperidin Content Changes for Citrus lemon Juice in Plastic Film House)

  • 본 연구는 레몬과즙의 헤스페리딘 함량이 가장 많은 수확시기 지표를 결정하기 위해 수관내부 및 외부에 착과된 과실에 대해 시기별 헤스페리딘 함량을 착색시기 및 과중과 연관시켜 평가했다. 그 함량은 과실생장에 따라 달랐으며 수관내부 및 외부에 있어 착색이 막 시작되는 개화 후 162일과 176일째에 가장 많았다. 그리고 수관외부가 내부보다 많았다. 이상의 결과는 레몬과실의 헤스페리딘 함량이 가장 많은 적정 수확 시기는 착색이 막 시작이 되고 과실의 생장이 멈추기 직전이라는 것을 나타냈다.

  • Seasonal fluctuations in density of soil-inhabiting Pseudoscorpions at the Piagol, Mt. Chiri were assessed on the basis of 4,984 individuals collected from March 1993 to February 1995. They encompassed 2 families, 6 genera and 11 species. Species composition and abundance were as follows: Allochthonius buanensis 47.0%, Microcreagris sp. 2. 20.7%, Microcreagris pygmaea 12.9%, Microcreagris japonica 9.8%, Pararoncus japonicus 3.7%, Mundochthonius minusculus 3.2%, Parobisium longipalpus 1.2%, Microbisium pygmaeum 1.0%, Allochthonius coreanus 0.2%, Microcreagris sp. 1 0.2%, and Parobisium robustiella 0.1%. Diversity index (H') decreased and dominance index (C) increased at the height of 1,200 m. The heights of 500 m. The heights of 500 m and 600 m were dominated heavily by A. buanensis and abundance of M. japonical and Microcreagris sp. 2 was also comparatively high and H' was high in March and April, low in August and September. in case of May, Jun., Jul., Oct., Nov., Dec., Jan. 1993, and Feb. 1994, H' stayed at a relatively constant level. A total of 4,984 individuals including 1,170 protonymphs (23.5%), 1,251 deutonymphs (25.1%), 533 tritonymphs (10.7%), and 2,030 adults (40.7%) was collected from the study sites. Sex ratio of the Pseudoscorpions was approximately 1 female : 1.1 male.

산악 산림 소유역에서 선행강우지수를 이용한 하천유량 추정: 계룡산 용수천 상류 (Estimation of Stream Discharge using Antecedent Precipitation Index Models in a Small Mountainous Forested Catchment: Upper Reach of Yongsucheon Stream, Gyeryongsan Mountain)

  • Variability in precipitation due to climate change causes difficulties in securing stable surface water resource, which requires understanding of relation between precipitation and stream discharge. This study simulated stream discharge in a small mountainous forested catchment using antecedent precipitation index (API) models which represent variability of saturation conditions of soil layers depending on rainfall events. During 13 months from May 2015 to May 2016, stream discharge and rainfall were measured at the outlet and in the central part of the watershed, respectively. Several API models with average recession coefficients were applied to predict stream discharge using measured rainfall, which resulted in the best reflection time for API model was 1 day in terms of predictability of stream discharge. This indicates that soil water in riparian zones has fast response to rainfall events and its storage is relatively small. The model can be improved by employing seasonal recession coefficients which can consider seasonal fluctuation of hydrological parameters. These results showed API models can be useful to evaluate variability of streamflow in ungauged small forested watersheds in that stream discharge can be simulated using only rainfall data.

  • The analysis of baseflow contribution is very significant in Korea because most rivers have high variability of streamflow due to the monsoon climate. Recently, the importance of such analysis is being more evident especially in terms of river management because of the changing pattern of rainfall and runoff resulted from climate change. Various baseflow separation methods have been developed to separate baseflow from streamflow. However, it is very difficult to identify which method is the most accurate way due to the lack of measured baseflow data. Moreover, it is inappropriate to analyze the annual baseflow contribution for Korean rivers because rainfall patterns varies significantly with the seasons. Thus, this study compared the baseflow contributions at various time-scales (annual, seasonal and monthly) for the 4 major river basins through BFI (baseflow index) and suggested baseflow contribution of each basin by the BFI ranges searched from different baseflow separation methods (e.g., BFLOW, HYSEP, PART, WHAT). Based on the comparison of baseflow contributions at the three time scales, this study showed that the baseflow contributions from the monthly and seasonal analysis are more reasonable than that from the annual analysis. Furthermore, this study proposes that defining BFI with its range is more proper than a specific value for a watershed, considering the difference of BFIs between various baseflow separation methods.

수변계획을 위한 계절별 수질오염 분석 (Analyses of Seasonal Water Quality Pollution for Side Planning)

  • Anyang Stream including its main branch is the biggest branch stream of Han River in Korea. The geological and geomorphological characteristics were investigated to the affected area of Anyang Stream, in which rainfall characteristic was analyzed. The water quality surveyed that the analysis of water pollution used to biotic index and biological water pollution. The rainfall pattern in this area was like to that of typical Korea, but the rate of trigger and runoff during summer season(June~August) is more higher than mean of Korea. Before 2003, a dried stream is severe status, which was due to abundant runoff, but this status are improved. After 1997, water quality of stream is recovering status such as water pollution of stream steeply decreased. Especially after 2003, this trend is more quickly improved. Although, owing to the increasing of a T-N and SS at upstream wastewater were due to bad collection of industrial factories, livestock's and mans living, the water quality worsted at upstream. Water quality in total section of main stream was severely contaminated that water-quality limit is 5 with polysaprobic by water self-purification. That of main branch was 1~3limits with ${\alpha}$- and ${\beta}$-mesosaprobic in Anyang city area, But water quality in all area about another branch of Anyang stream except Anyang city area was almost under of 3 grades. Though trying of Anyang city for recover movement(completion of 2nd Sewage Treatment Plant and Water supply pipe system) on Anyang stream, water pollution states of upper branch in Anyang stream was not better than its of 2002 because it may be difference of control area on other cities.

계절적 몬순에 의한 댐 인공호 및 농업용 저수지에서의 영양상태지수(TSI), 경험적 수질 모델 및 어류 트로픽 구조 (Influence of Seasonal Monsoon on Trophic State Index (TSI), Empirical Water Quality Model, and Fish Trophic Structures in Dam and Agricultural Reservoirs)

  • The key objective of this study was to evaluate trophic state and empirical water quality models along with analysis of fish trophic guilds in relation to water chemistry (N, P). Trophic state index (TSI), based on total phosphorus (TP) and chlorophyll-a (CHL), ranged between oligotrophic and hypereutrophic state, by the criteria of Nurnberg(1996), and was lower than the trophic state of total nitrogen (TN). Trophic relations of Secchi depth (SD), TN, TP, and CHL were compared using an empirical models of premonsoon (Pr), monsoon (Mo), and postmonsoon (Po). The model analysis indicated that the variation in water transparency of Secchi depth (SD) was largely accounted (p < 0.001, range of $R^2$ : 0.76-0.80) by TP during the seasons of Mo and Po and that the variation of CHL was accounted (p < 0.001, $R^2=0.70$) up to 70% by TP during the Po season. The eutrophication tendency, based on the $TSI_{TP}$ vs. $TSI_{N:P}$ were predictable ($R^2$ ranged 0.85-0.90, p < 0.001), slope and y intercept indicated low seasonal variability. In the mean time, $TSI_{N:P}$ vs. $TSI_{CHL}$ had a monsoon seasonality in relation to values of $TSI_{N:P}$ during the monsoon season due to a dilution of reservoir waters by strong monsoon rainfall. Trophic compositions of reservoir fish reflected ambient contents of TN, TP, and CHL in the reservoir waters. Thus, the proportions of omnivore fish increased with greater trophic conditions of TP, TN and CHL and the proportions of insectivore fish decreased with greater trophic conditions.

한국 남서해안 관매도와 영산도의 해조상 및 군집구조 (Marine Algal Flora and Community Structure at Gwanmaedo and Yeongsando, Korea)

  • Seasonal variations in seaweed communities were examined at Gwanmaedo and Yeongsando, Korea, from May 2014 to February 2015. Eighty-nine species were identified, including 11 green, 20 brown and 58 red algae. Seventy-three and 74 species were identified at Gwanmaedo and at Yeongsando, respectively. Sargassum thunbergii and Myelophycus simplex were the dominant species, comprising 60.89 and 39.50% of total biomass, respectively, and S. fusiforme was subdominant at the two sites. Of six functional seaweed forms, the coarsely-branched form was the most dominant, forming about 43% of the species number at Gwanmaedo and Yeongsando. Seasonal seaweed biomasses ranged between 53.10 and 172.85 g/m2 (average 93.57 g dry wt./m2) and between 83.11 and 176.20 g (138.21 g/m2) at Gwanmaedo and Yeongsando, respectively. The vertical distribution from the high to low intertidal zone was S. thunbergii and Gloiopeltis furcata; M. simplex and S. thunbergii; and S. fusiforme at Gwanmaedo. Seaweed zonation was distinct at Yeongsando, with S. thunbergii and Gelidiophycus freshwateri; M. simplex and S. thunbergii; and S. thunbergii and S. fusiforme. Seaweed biomass, evenness index (J'), and diversity index (H') values were greater at Yeongsando (138.21 g/m2, 0.51, 2.18 respectively) than at Gwanmaedo (93.57 g/m2, 0.48, 2.04), indicating that the seaweed community at Yeongsando is more stable than that at Gwanmaedo.

비만 및 과체중 여성에 대한 한의 비만치료의 효과 및 계절별 치료기간 설정을 위한 후향적 분석 (The Retrospective Analysis on Obese and Overweight Female Patients with Korean Medical Treatment and Its Effectiveness for Clinical Setting of Seasonal Treatment)

  • Objectives: The aim of study was to investigate the effect of herbal medicine on obesity and to define which seasonal factor could be utilized to make an obesity treatment program more effective. Methods: Three hundred and forty-four subjects were recruited and data were analyzed for weight, body fat, muscular volume, body fat ratio, body mass index (BMI) change and treatment duration. At first, age classification was performed for the comparisons. Moreover, starting season of treatment was categorized to determine it's influence over the treatment. Results: It was found the administration of herbal medicine could diminish every analyzed fields of entire patients. Compared among age groups, there were no significant differences of all fields. However, the categorization of start season showed significant differences of weight, BMI change and treatment duration. In addition, the analysis of assumed 10% weight loss elicited patients started treatment in spring and winter should spend 12 and 13 weeks and summer would be 9.5 weeks. Conclusions: It was found herbal medicine would be effective for female obesity and expected patients could achieve 5.91 kg weight loss for 65.88 days treatment. Summer group had significant shorter treatment duration and it was presumed summer group had more concentration for achievement. Days required for assumed 10% weight loss was calculated to be 84 days in spring, 67 days in summer, 96 days in winter. Hereafter, further controlled study with more numbers of patients should be needed to determine the goal of medical treatment for obesity.

국내 3대 주요 컨테이너항만의 장래 컨테이너선박 교통량 추정 (The Estimation of the Future Container Ship Traffic for Three Major Ports in Korea)

  • 컨테이너항만의 물동량이 증가하는 추세에서 장래에 발생될 컨테이너선박의 교통량을 예측한다면 항만의 효율적인 계획과 운영관리를 사전에 수립할 수 있다. 해상교통 관점에서도 컨테이너선박의 입 출항 척수를 장기적으로 추정하고, 이를 근거로 해상교통수요를 원활하게 처리할 수 있는 합리적인 방안을 계획할 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 전국항만 기본계획에서 제시된 부산항, 광양항, 인천항의 컨테이너 물동량 예측자료를 토대로 각 항만에 대한 컨테이너선의 장래 입 출항 교통량을 추정하였다. 이를 위해서 컨테이너선박의 척당 물동량 추세를 ARIMA 모형을 통해 예측하고, 계절지수를 산출하였다. 이와 같이 예측된 척당 물동량을 2011년, 2015년, 그리고 2020년의 컨테이너 물동량에 대비시켜 발생예상의 해상교통량을 추정하였다.

팔당호의 계절별 열적 및 화학적 층화 특성 (Seasonal characteristics of thermal and chemical stratification in Lake Paldang)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the thermal and chemical stratification in Lake Paldang 2013-2018 weekly using Schmidt's stability index (SSI) and the index of chemical stratification (IC-i). The annual average for SSI was 19.1 g cm/㎠ with the maximum value of 45.3 g cm/㎠ in the summer and the minimum value of 4.8 g cm/㎠ in fall-winter showing seasonal differences as well as increased vertical mixing in the summer. The lake stability increased higher in 2016 as compared with the other period. The most influential factors of thermal stratification were temperature and heavy rainfall. Especially, high water temperature and a prolonged residence duration caused by reduced rainfall and inflows could result in an increase of the stratification period. While decreasing inflow and outflow at the end of the rainfall, the thermal stratification was restrengthened within 7-14 days, and then stabilized rapidly before the rainfall. IC-DO increased with high air temperature in the spring and fall-winter. However increasing sunshine duration and residence time and decreasing rate of outflow caused an increase of IC-DO in the summer. Rainfall (less than 800 mm/year) and discharge (less than 200 CMS) significantly declined in 2015 resulting in IC-DO (0.77) increased more than three times over the other years and bottom water hypoxia occurred. The SSI and IC-i used in this study could be applied to other lakes to understand changes in stratification and mixing dynamics.
