지구시스템모형을 이용한 황동중국해 이산화탄소분압 분포 특성 평가 (Assesment of pCO2 in the Yellow and East China Sea Using an Earth System Model)

  • Using results from an earth system model, the distribution of partial pressure of $CO_2$ ($pCO_2$) in surface seawater over the East China Sea is investigated. In this area $pCO_2$ shows minimum along the edge of the continental break along the path of the Taiwan-Tsushima Current System. Apparently modelled chlorophyll is also great along the current but the maximum of the chlorophyll and the minimum of $pCO_2$ do not coincide suggesting that the primary production is not the main cause of the $pCO_2$ minimum. As we move toward the Yellow Sea from the Kuroshio area the temperature decreases so that the $pCO_2$ becomes smaller. If we move further toward the Yellow Sea beyond the Taiwan-Tsushima Current System, alkalinity starts to drop substantially to intensify $pCO_2$ while overcoming the effect of decreasing temperature and salinity. Thus $pCO_2$ minimum occurs along the Taiwan-Tsushima Current System. Of course, the primary production lower $pCO_2$ during spring when it is high but the effect is local. Near the Yangtze river mouth and northeastern corner of the Yellow Sea the fresh water input is large enough and dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC) becomes low enough so that $pCO_2$ becomes lower again.

  • A piston core (MR06-04 PC23A) collected from the northern continental slope in the central Bering Sea has recorded the high-resolution millennial-scale variation of calcium carbonate ($CaCO3$) content during the last 65 kyr. An estimation of the age of the core sediments was carried out by using the lithologic correlation of the deglacial laminated layers with a neighboring core (HLY02023JPC), complementing the last appearance datum of both Lychnocanoma nipponica sakaii (54 kyr) and Amphimelissa setosa (85 kyr). The probable age of core MR06-04 PC23A was approximately younger than 65 kyr. Two distinct events of a significant increase of $CaCO3$ in the deglacial laminated sediments clearly correspond to MWP1A and MWP1B in the Bering Sea (Gorbarenko et al. 2005) and to T1ANP and T1BNP in the North Pacific (Gorbarenko 1996). These pronounced peaks of $CaCO3$ contents result from the elevated carbonate production in the surface water and the subsequent weakened dilution due to terrestrial input, along with an enhanced oxygen minimum zone. The $CaCO3$ contents are low (${\sim}2%$) during the last glacial period mainly because of a low carbonate production caused by an expanded sea-ice cover and an increased dilution by terrigenous particles due to their closer distance to the continent during the sea-level low stand. The occurrence of seven distinct $CaCO3$ peaks in core MR06-04 PC23A is remarkable during MIS 3 and MIS 4, and they most likely correlate to the short-term millennial Dansgaard-Oeschger events.

장기 융·적설을 고려한 파키스탄 Kunhar강 유역 K-DRUM모형 구축 및 적용 (Application of K-DRUM Model for Pakistan Kunhar River Basin Considering Long-term Snow Melt and Cover)

  • 본 연구에서는 GIS 공간 수문자료를 입력 자료로 활용하는 물리적기반의 분포형 강우유출모형(K-DRUM, K-water Distributed RUnoff Model)을 고도분포에 따른 기온변화와 융 적설 모의가 가능하도록 확장 개발하여 파키스탄 Kunhar강 유역($2,500km^2$)을 대상으로 융 적설을 고려한 장기 유출량 모의결과를 비교 분석하였다. 기온 및 강우 시계열 자료 분석 결과 동일한 유역 내 표고에 따른 기온 및 강우차가 국내유역과는 달리 매우 심하게 나타나 기온 및 고도감율을 적용하여 모형의 입력값으로 산정하였다. 해발고도 4,000m차이의 융 적설 특성을 반영한 유출량 재현성은 비교적 양호하였으며, 연중 유출패턴은 여름철 기온상승에 의해 융설로 인한 유출이 강하게 나타나고 있었다.

산업연관모형을 이용한 우리나라 산업의 직·간접 물소비 구조 분석 (An Analysis of Water Consumption Structures in Korean Industry Using the Input-Output Model)

  • 본 논문에서는 우리나라 산업의 연간 물소비량을 최초로 추정하고 이를 이용하여 물소비 분석용 산업연관 모형을 작성하였다. 그리고 이를 이용하여 산업활동에 따른 직 간접 물소비 유발효과를 분석하였으며 물량기준 총효과를 요인별로 분해하여 보았다. 우리나라 산업(농림어업 제외)은 해수를 제외한 상수도, 지하수, 하천수, 재이용수 등 육지의 물 기준으로 2003년중 약 76억 9,200만 톤의 물을 소비한 것으로 추산되었다. 업종별로는 전력 수도가 49.5%로 거의 절반가량을 차지하였으며 제철 등의 가공금속 산업이 24.3%, 화학산업이 5.0%를 차지하였다. 물소비 분석용 산업연관 모형을 이용하여 산업별 직 간접 물소비 유발계수를 도출한 결과 전력 수도가 산출액 백만원당 113.8톤의 물을 소비하였으며, 제1차금속(49.6톤), 섬유 가죽제품(16.8톤), 일반기계(11.9톤) 등의 순으로 높게 나타났다. 동유발계수를 직접효과와 간접효과로 나누어 본 결과, 전력가스 및 수도 산업을 제외하고는 대부분의 산업에서 직접효과보다는 간접효과가 큰 것으로 나타나 물 관련 정책 수립시 제품간 물소비 연관관계를 충분히 고려할 필요가 있음을 시사하였다. 아울러 동 연구결과는 제품간 물소비구조 파악과 제품별 물소비지표 개발 등에도 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

다중송신채널 환경에서 수동형 시역전에 기반한 수중음향통신 알고리즘 및 실험적 검증 (Algorithm and experimental verification of underwater acoustic communication based on passive time reversal mirror in multiuser environment)

  • 수중통신은 해양 매질의 특성상 전달손실이 적은 음향을 사용함에 따라 육상에서의 전파통신보다 반송주파수가 낮아 신호의 대역폭이 제한되어 통신용량증가에 어려움이 따른다. 제한된 대역에 고속 및 대용량 전송이 필요해짐에 따라 MIMO(Multiple Input Multiple Output) 통신에 대한 연구도 활발하다. MIMO 통신의 경우 지연확산 및 도플러확산 채널특성으로 인한 인접 심볼 간 간섭과 더불어 동일한 대역의 다중음원으로 인한 채널 간 간섭이 발생하므로 SIMO(Single Input Multiple Output) 통신에 비교하여 통신성능이 열악하다. 본 논문에서는 동시간대에 두 채널에서 송신된 신호가 한 채널에 간섭하여 수신되었을 경우 자기등화의 특성을 갖는 시역전 기법을 적용하여 보상 알고리즘을 단순화하고 채널 간 간섭을 완화하여 이 때의 통신성능을 확인하고자 한다. 또한 2015년 5월 동중국해 북부 해역에서 수행한 SAVEX15(Shallow-water Acoustic Variability Experiment 2015) 실험 데이터를 이용하여 이를 검증하고자 한다.

Seismic performance of the immersed tunnel under offshore and onshore ground motions

  • There are obvious differences between the characteristics of offshore ground motion and onshore ground motion in current studies, and factors such as water layer and site conditions have great influence on the characteristics of offshore ground motion. In addition, unlike seismic response analysis of offshore superstructures such as sea-crossing bridges, tunnels are affected by offshore soil constraints, so it is necessary to consider the dynamic interaction between structure and offshore soil layer. Therefore, a seismic response analysis model considering the seawater, soil layer and tunnel structure coupling is established. Firstly, the measured offshore and different soil layers onshore ground records are input respectively, and the difference of seismic response under different types of ground motions is analyzed. Then, the models of different site conditions were input into the measured onshore bedrock strong ground motion records to study the influence of seawater layer and silt soft soil layer on the seabed and tunnel structure. The results show that the overall seismic response between the seabed and the tunnel structure is more significant when the offshore ground motion is input. The seawater layer can suppression the vertical seismic response of seabed and tunnel structure, while the slit soft soil layer can amplify the horizontal seismic response. The results will help to promote seismic wave selection of marine structures and provide reference for improving the accuracy of seismic design of immersed tunnels.

오산시의 맑은날 하절기 등가 하늘온도 예측 (Prediction of the Summer Effective Sky Temperatrure during the Clear Day on Osan City)

  • The purpose of this study is to predict the effective sky temperature on Osan City during the summer. The north latitude, east longitude of Osan City is $37^{\circ}06'$ and $127^{\circ}02'$. The altitude from the sea level is 48m. Empirical relations of the effective sky temperature suggested by Duffie and Beckman are compared on clear days. For the effective sky temperature prediction, data measured by the Korea Meteorological Administration is used as an input to the Bliss model. Both Hottel and Krondratyev model are used to calculate the water vapor emissivity. The results using Hottel's model match well with the empirical relation proposed by Bliss. The results show maximum, minimum, and average values depending on water vapor emissivity model. The maximum deviation is about 10K and is due to total emissivity model.

해양오염의 진단을 위한 생화학적 오염지표에 관한 연구 VII. 남해산 넙치 (Paralichthys olivaceus)의 지질성분의 변화 (Study on Biochemical Pollutant Markers for Diagnosis of Marine Pollution VII. Changes in Lipid Components of Flounder (Paralichthys olivaceus) in the South Sea)

  • 해양오염의 진단을 위한 생화학적 오염지표 설정의 기초연구의 일환으로, 오염이 심각한 서해안의 오염지표에 관한 연구에 이어, 남해안의 오염도를 평가하기 위하여 오염도가 적은 동해안 포항의 자연산 넙치를 대조군으로 하여 남해산 양식산 넙치 (Paralichthys olivaceus)의 혈액중의 지질성분을 분석 평가하였다. 남해안의 양식산 넙치의 혈청중의 헤모글로빈의 함량은 포항의 자연산 넙치 대비 각각 $4\~17\%$의 감소현상이 나타나서 헤모글로빈의 파괴가 상달함을 알 수 있었다. 남해안의 양식산 넙치의 혈청중의 중성지질, 총콜레스테롤 및 LDL-콜레스테롤의 함량은 대조군으로 사용한 포항의 자연산 넙치대비 각각 $12\~25\%,\;9\~19\%$$17\~25\%$나 높았다. 이러한 사실은 해양오염 뿐만 아니라 양식산 넙치의 사료의 과량 투여 및 운동량 부족도 관계할 것으로 판단된다. 남해안의 양식산 넙치의 동맥경화지수 (AI) 및 인지질에 대한 총콜레스테롤의 함량비 (T-Chol/PL ratio)도 대조군으로 사용한 포항의 자연산 넙치 대비 각각$26\~43\%$$17\~26\%$나 높아서 남해안의 양식산 넙치의 오염도가 심각한 것으로 판단된다. 한편 남해안의 양식산 넙치의 HDL-콜레스테롤의 함량은 대조군으로 사용한 포항의 자연산 넙치 대비 일부 지역을 제외하고는 $15\~25\%$나 낮아서 상당히 문제가 있었다. 사실 운동량이나 섬유질 및 생선 단백질의 섭취에 따라 증가하는 HDL-콜레스테롤이 감소한다는 사실은 연안해역의 환경개선책이 시급함을 말해준다.

2006-2007 기간 중 신생 새만금호 '만경대교' 정점에서 식물플랑크톤 군집 급변에 대한 연구 (Drastic Change of Phytoplankton Community at the Station 'Mankyeong Bridge' of the New Saemankeum Lake during 2006-2007)

  • Drastic changes in the water quality and phytoplankton community of the new Saemankeum Lakeduring the first decade following the construction of the Saemankeum Sea Wall has been considered to be unavoidable. Input of eutrophicated water through the Mankyeong River and Dongjin River might produce more direct effects on the water quality and phytoplankton community, which lead us to launch a long-term semi-weekly investigation at the "Mankyeong Bridge" monitoring point to resolve its short-term effect as well as long-term stabilization of the ecosystem in the new Saemankeum Lake. During 15 months starting from June 2006, the water temperature varied in accordance with the typical seasonal variations in temperate on the coasts, and no significant daily variations evoked by tidal cycle could be detected. However, there was an inverse relationship between seasonal precipitation and salinity even though the range in annual variation was drastically reduced right after the construction of the Saemankeum Sea Wall. Species richness in the phytoplankton community was also reduced due to the narrowed annual range of salinity, which would eliminate the mid-high salinity species from the Mankyeong Bridge monitoring point. Similarly, species diversity was decreased with increased dominance of the phytoplankton community after the construction. Between the two summer seasons during the present study, species diversity was higher in 2007 than in 2006, which might indicate the early stage of a gradual stabilization in the ecosystem including the phytoplankton community at the monitoring station. The phytoplankton community thus needs to be monitored on a long-term basis to identify indirect signals that can be used to assess the stability of the ecosystem in the young Saemankeum Lake.

장목만에서 여름철 영양염 특성 변화가 식물플랑크톤 군집구조에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Nutrient Property Changes on Summer Phytoplankton Community Structure of Jangmok Bay)

  • Phytoplankton production is affected by various physico-chemical factors of environment. However, one of the most critical factors generally accepted as controlling primary production of phytoplankton is nutrients. It has recently been found that the succession of phytoplankton groups and species are closely related to the chemical properties of ambient water including nutrient limitation and their ratios. In Jangmok Bay, silicate and nitrate are primarily supplied by rainfall, while phosphate and ammonia are supplied by wind stress. Typhoons are associated with rainfall and strong wind stress, and when typhoons pass through the South Sea, such events may induce phytoplankton blooms. When nutrients were supplied by heavy rainfalls during the rainy season and by summer typhoons in Jangmok Bay, the dominant taxa among the phytoplankton groups were found to change successively with time. The dominant taxon was changed from diatoms to flagellates immediately after the episodic seasonal events, but returned to diatoms within 3~10 days. Pseudo-nitzschia spp. were dominant mainly in the presence of low phosphate levels during the first of the survey which included the rainy season, while Skeletonema costatum was dominant when phosphate concentrations were high due to the strong wind stress during the latter half of the survey as a result of the typhoon. The competition between S. costatum and Chaetoceros spp. appeared to be regulated by the silicate concentration. S. costatum preferred high silicate and phosphate concentrations; however, Chaetoceros spp. were able to endure low silicate concentrations. These results implied that, in coastal ecosystems, the input patterns of each nutrient supplied by rainfall and/or wind stress appeared to contribute to the summer succession of phytoplankton groups and species.
