2007년 개정 과학과 교육과정에서 자유탐구 방안 (A Freedom Inquiry Method by Revised Science Curriculum in 2007)

  • The purpose of this study is to present a Freedom Inquiry Method by Revised Science Curriculum in 2007. This study introduced IIM(Independent Inquiry Method), PBL(Problem Based Learning), Small Inquiry Method, Science Notebooks, Project Learning Method about Freedom Inquiry Method. The results of this study are as follows: First, IIM(Independent Inquiry Method) is studying method in the inquiry process center. The inquiry process is composed of total 9 phases, inquiry subject really it is, detailed aim deciding, information searching, it searches, quest result it arranges, aim evaluation, the report making, it announces, it evaluates, it is become accomplished. Second, It is a studying method which it starts with the problem which is Problem Based Learning, study atmosphere creation phase, problematic presentation phase and sleep static problem solving the phase which it attempts, it is become accomplished with autonomous studying phase, coordinated studying and discussion studying phase, discussion resultant announcement studying phase, arrangement and evaluation. Third, Small Inquiry Method, Call it accomplishes the call grade of the students among ourselves 4~8 people degree where only the quest learning capability is similar within class. Also interaction and coordinated function of the members between it leads and the subject which is given in the group it cooperates and it solves with it is a quest method which arrives to aim of commonness. This method divides on a large scale in three parts, it becomes accomplished in programming phase, quest accomplishment and resultant announcement. Fourth, Science Notebooks learns a scientific contents and a scientific quest function and the possibility of decreasing in order to be, from the fact that the help which it understands. This planing, data searching, it searches, becomes accomplished with resultant arrangement, announcement and evaluation. Fifth, The Project Learning Method the studying person oneself studying contents, it establishes a plan and it collects it accomplishes process of etc. it evaluates it leads and a subject and information and with real life it is a method which it studies naturally from the learning environment inside which is similar. This is preliminary phase, project start, project activity and project arrangement.

목포시 중학교 환경교육 현황 및 학생들의 환경에 대한 인식조사 (The Situation of Environmental Education and A Survey on the Perception of Environment in Middle School Students, Mokpo City)

  • A survey of middle school students and teachers in Mokpo city has been done to understand the perception of environment of students and the present situation of environmental education in middle school. Only 2 of the 14 middle schools have chosen the environmental education course as a required subject. The majority of middle-school students in Mokpo city have learned the environmental education as a subordinate course included in the other subjects such as science, social science or technology. The environmental education in school has been done mostly through non-subject activities such as club activity, group work etc. The survey shows that almost all students think the environmental pollution is serious problem(83% of respondents) and they are especially interested in separate garbage collection(72%) and environmental conservation activity(63.9%) to protect the environment. The concerns about the environmental problems of students(57.7%) has increased after environmental education regardless educational methods or subjects. The students and teachers think that environmental education in school has not been carried out enough and almost all of them(68.4% of students, 97.5% of teachers) agree that the environmental education should be done as an independent subject. In order to more practical and effective environmental education, many opportunities to experience environmental conservation activities should be given during the environmental education course and the environmental education should be separated from other subjects to be taught independently. Moreover, it might be necessary to increase proportion of teachers in environmental disciplines and to develop various teaching methods.

과학기술분야 국제협력 증진을 위한 아시아 국가 간 공동연구 현황 분석 (A Study on Research Collaboration Among Asian Countries in Science and Technology)

  • 과학기술분야 국제협력은 국가 경쟁력 확보를 위해서 필수적이다. 한국은 과학기술의 인적 물적 자원의 한계를 극복하고자 연구의 국제화를 추진하고 있으며 최근 아시아 국가와 연구협력에서 높은 성장률을 보여주었다. 본 연구에서는 네트워크 분석을 이용하여 한국과의 공동연구가 크게 증가한 아시아 국가 간 공동연구 현황을 공저논문 수와 주제범주로 구분하여 실증적으로 파악하였다. 최근 5년간 아시아 국가 간 공저논문 수 기반 네트워크를 살펴보면, 일본, 중국, 한국 등 동북아시아 국가들이 네트워크 중심부에 있었으며 국가 상호 간 공동연구가 활발하게 이루어졌다. 또한 아시아 지역별로 공동연구의 주제범주를 분석한 결과, 동북아시아 지역은 기초과학 분야에서, 남부아시아, 동남아시아, 서남아시아 지역은 의학 분야에서 공동연구가 활발하게 이루어진 것으로 나타났다.

하이브리드 문제중심학습을 적용한 외식창업관련과목의 교육효과 -문제해결능력을 중심으로 (Effects of Hybrid Style Problem-Based Learning in Food Service Entrepreneurship Subject - Focusing on Problem Solving Skills)

  • 본 연구는 과학과 의학 분야에서 많은 연구와 그 성과를 검증받고 있지만 사회과학과 경영분야에서 상대적으로 미흡한 연구가 진행된 문제중심학습에 대한 연구이다. 또한 본 연구에서는 외식창업관련과목에서 문제중심학습의 적용을 통해 문제해결능력에 대한 효과를 검증하고자하였다. 본 연구를 위한 문헌조사를 마친 후 외식창업관련과목을 위한 문제중심학습의 개발을 위해 교과목의 목표와 학생들의 외식창업관련 기초 지식을 점검하였다. 이후 문제의 개발과 시행에 대한 구체적이고 세밀한 부분에 대한 고려를 통해 하이브리드 형식의 문제중심학습을 진행하기로 하고 수업계획서, 문제의 생성과 적용, 평가과정에 대한 일련의 구성을 완성하였다. 교육 시행 후 학생들에게서 나타나는 문제해결능력의 향상 정도를 측정하기 위해 실험집단과 통제집단을 구분하고 이들에게 각각 문제중심학습과 일반적인 강의방식의 교육을 실시한 후 교육전과 후의 문제해결능력에 대한 변화를 측정하였다. 연구의 결과를 통해 일반적인 강의방식의 일부를 적용한 하이브리드 방식의 문제중심학습의 적용은 외식창업관련과목에서 학생들의 문제해결력을 향상시키는데 있어서 매우 효과적인 학습방법임을 선행연구들과 함께 다시 한 번 증명하였다.

고등학교 과학탐구실험 교과에 피지컬 컴퓨팅을 융합한 수업이 SW 교육 인식 및 융합 소양에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of a Physical Computing Convergence Class to the Science Exploration Experiment Subject of High School on the SW Education Recognition and the Convergence Literacy)

  • 4차 산업혁명과 융합시대를 맞이하여 미래 사회 인재 육성을 위해 다양한 논의와 연구가 진행되고 있으며, 이를 통해 창의적인 융합인재에 대한 필요성이 증대되고 있다. 이에 따라 소프트웨어 중심 사회로의 변화에 발맞추어 세계 각국에서는 SW 교육을 강화하고자 노력하고 있으나 융합의 중심이 되는 정보 교과와 SW 교육의 필요성에 대한 고등학교 학생들의 인식이 부족하며, 이를 개선하기 위해서는 정보 교과와 다양한 분야와의 융합의 기회가 제공되어야 한다. 이에 본 연구에서는 과학탐구실험 교과에 정보 교육을 융합하여 창의적인 융합 역량을 발휘할 수 있는 교육 프로그램을 구성하고, 고등학교 학생들에게 9차시에 걸쳐 피지컬 컴퓨팅을 활용한 융합 수업을 적용하였다. 실험 결과 과학과 정보의 융합 수업을 실시한 실험 집단의 SW 교육에 대한 인식이 개선되었으며, 또한 학습자의 융합 소양 향상에 있어서도 융합 수업을 실시한 실험 집단이 일반 과학실험 수업을 실시한 통제 집단에 비해 유의미한 차이가 있음을 확인하였다.

메타학문인 정보학을 모태학문으로 하는 교과 '정보' (Subject 'Informatics' that Originated from Informatics in a Metascience as Academic base)

  • 21세기에 들어서 한국을 포함한 세계 각국은 정보교육에 대한 많은 변화를 시도하였다. 각국의 상황을 고려하여 정보교육의 필요성을 인지하고 실천적 행동으로 옮기고 있다. 본 연구는 다양한 명칭으로 논의되고 있는 정보교육의 모태학문인 정보학에 대해 고찰하기 위한 목적으로 진행되었다. 모태학문에 대한 고찰은 용어에 집중하여 학술논문과 고등교육기관의 학과명, 학술지에서 정보관련 용어의 출현빈도를 중심으로 분석하였다. 분석을 토대로 교과 '정보'는 사회적 변화에 기여하는 정보학을 모태학문으로 하고, 통합된 정보학은 모든 학문의 메타학문임을 제시하였다. 본 연구는 학문적인 측면 뿐 아니라 사회적 필요 측면에서 정보교육를 규명하고, 메타학문을 모태학문으로 하는 정보교육은 초중등 학교에서 필수로 가르쳐야 할 교과임을 시사점을 제공하였다.

수자원 보호에 대한 STS 모듈의 개발 및 적용 효과 (Development and Application Effects of STS Modules Regarding Conservation of Water Resources)

  • This study was intended to develop the STS module regarding conservation of water resources, called "A Project for the Conservation of Water Resources". Since each theme consisted of 2 subject activities, they had total 8 subject activities. Developed STS module was applied to 113 male students of 11th grader of D High School in Incheon. After they received 8 periods of the developed STS module, the environmental sensitivity and environmental conservation behavior and the interest of the affective domains related to science were determined. Results were as follows; Four themes of this module were 'What are the water resources?', 'What is a main cause for the water pollution?', 'A drinking water? or non-drinking water?' and 'Making UCC for the water resources'. Since each theme consisted of 2 subject activities, they were for total 8 periods. Developed STS module was found to be appropriate for the STS and they could be applied to the classroom easily. Students who were instructed according to the developed STS module showed that there was a statistically significant enhancement in the environmental sensitivity and environmental conservation behavior and in the area of interest of the affective domains related to science. Students who were instructed according to the developed STS module showed positive responses to the instructional methods by STS. Based on students' interview, they revealed that they were impressed with the hands-on activities and the process of subject activities. Instruction with STS module seemed to be more appropriate way of teaching compared to the traditional way of teaching. However, it will be necessary to develop more modules or programs which could be linked from the elementary school level to the high school level and to use them consistently in order to maximize their effects.

비형식 과학교육환경에서 초등학생들의 과학 학습에 대한 흥미 분석 (An Analysis of Elementary School Students' Interest about Learning Science in Informal Science Education Environment)

  • Interest has been studied as one of the construct to understand and improve learning in science. While informal science education is getting increasing attention as science education has been extended from formal school science to informal science learning including after-school program or science museum activity, however, little has been studied in comparing to the needs. In this study the authors investigated students' interest about learning science in the context of informal science education. For this the survey tool in the article of Im and Pak (2000) was utilized through modification, and 155 elementary students' responses were analyzed with factor analysis and basic statistics. The factor analysis showed that the students' interest about learning science in the context of informal science education has multi dimensions like subject, motivation, and activity dimension. The result showed that students' interest decreased as their grade is higher, and that the interest of intrinsic motivation, empirical activity, and descriptive subject were relatively high while the interest of extrinsic motivation, cognitive activity, and specific subjects were low. From this study the authors could infer the necessity of instructional strategy in consideration of students' interest for more effective science learning in informal science education environment.

Examination of Students' Perceptions of the Selection of Science Subjects in High School Credit System and Their Reasons for Selection

  • We investigated and analyzed students' perceptions of their choice of science subjects in the high school credit system and the reasons for their choice. To achieve this, the selection of science subjects was investigated for the second year of S high school over the past three years. Students selected an average of 1.54 science subjects, and it was found that the rate of selection of science subjects was gradually increasing by year. Students chose high in the order of life science I, earth science I, chemistry I, physics I, etc. in the science subject group. Students who wish to enter the natural and engineering fields chose life science I, chemistry I, physics I, etc., while, students who wish to enter the humanities society chose society and culture, life science I, ethics and thought, etc. On the other hand, the reason for choosing science subjects was 'related to college admission', followed by 'aptitude and interest', 'career and real life help', etc. physics I, chemistry I, etc., were high in the subjects selected according to the 'related to college admission'. The subjects selected according to 'aptitude and interest' were high in life science I, earth science I, etc. Physics I, chemistry I, etc. are recognized as subjects necessary for college entrance, and life science I, earth science I, etc., are found to be related to their interests and aptitudes.

고등학교 과학과의 환경 탐구활동 개발 (Development of Environmental Inquiry Activities in Science Subject of High School)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop environmental inquiry activities for teaching the 10th grade students in science classes of high school. The activities are developed to perform goals of environmental education for sustainable development. In order to this, activities are sequently organized in order of context of laboratory, field, and problem solving in respect of one learning topic. The object of inquiry activities in laboratory context is understanding concepts related environment and environmental pollution. The inquiry activities in field context have an object of attaining good awareness and attitude toward environment. Throughout the activities in probem solving context students are expected to have a mind of participating in environmental issues. The activities are designed to learn and use integrated science knowledge in many domains. Some activities are intended to utilize MBL(Microcomputer-based Laboratory). The ICT materials, lesson plans, instructional sheets for teaching and student' sheets for inquiry were produced to guide these activities. It is expected that this effort will contribute to cultivate environmental literate persons who have not only scientific understanding but also practical will of environmental issues.
