An Influence of GSP to Learning Process of Proof of Middle School Students: Case Study (GSP가 중학생들의 증명학습에 미치는 영향: 사례연구)

  • In this paper, we investigated difficulties that middle school students face in the teaming process of proof, and then inquired how does learning of proof using GSP ease students' difficulties. Throughout the inspection, we identified that students have difficulties in understanding process of premise and conclusion, use of notation, process of reasoning. And we identified, throughout learning process of proof using GSP, students can be feedbacked for their guess or reasoning, generalize the special case to general properties and have attitude checking ideas needed in proof by themselves.

Role Adaptation Process of Elementary School Health Teachers: Establishing Their Own Positions (초등학교 보건교사의 역할적응 과정: 자기자리 만들어 가기)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to explore and identify patterns from the phenomenon of the role adaptation process in elementary school health teachers and finally, suggest a model to describe the process. Methods: Grounded theory methodology and focus group interviews were used. Data were collected from 24 participants of four focus groups. The questions used were about their experience of role adaptation including situational contexts and interactional coping strategies. Transcribed data and field notes were analyzed with continuous comparative analysis. Results: The core category was 'establishing their own positions', an interactional coping strategy. The phenomenon identified by participants was confusion and wandering in their role performance. Influencing contexts were unclear beliefs for their role as health teachers and non-supportive job environments. The result of the adaptation process was consolidation of their positions. Pride as health teachers and social recognition and supports intervened to produce that result. The process had three stages; entry, growth, and maturity. Conclusion: The role adaptation process of elementary school health teachers can be explained as establishing, strengthening and consolidating their own positions. Results of this study can be used as fundamental information for developing programs to support the role adaptation of health teachers.

A Study of Effects of Creativity·Personality Education on Science Related Attitudes and Science Process Skills in Elementary School Students (창의·인성 교육이 초등학생들의 과학관련 태도와 과학 탐구과정 기능에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate effects of creative personality education on elementary school students' science-related attitudes and science process skills. The experimental group was composed of 301 students Y Elementary school managing Creativity Personality Model School and the comparative group was composed of 231 students G elementary school in G city, Gyungsangnamdo. Before carrying out the study, both groups took the preliminary examination about their science-related attitudes and science process skills. After three months, the experiment group and the comparison group took the post examinations to compare and analyze the results. The results were as follows. Firstly, the averages of science-related attitudes for whole students, and boy students in experimental group statistically meaningfully higher than that of comparative groups, but made no difference for girl students. Secondary, in the case of science process skills, the averages of science-related attitudes for whole students including boy and girl students in experimental group statistically meaningfully higher than that of comparative groups. In light of these, it was thought that creative personality education positively effected on science-related attitude and science process skills.

A Low-elastic MRE Fabrication Process based on the Taguchi Method (다구찌법을 이용한 저탄성 MRE 제조공정 연구)

  • In this study, a PDMS-based low-elasticity magnetorheological elastomer (MRE) was fabricated and the Taguchi method was used to identify the factors affecting the elastic modulus. The mixing entropy was calculated using optical microscopy to confirm particle dispersion, which was referenced in the process establishment. In the MRE process, four parameters, namely the curing agent, particle type, particle fraction, and applied magnetic field, were divided into three levels. The elastic modulus of the specimen was compared at the off-state and at 0.2 T using compression tests, and the obtained signal to noise ratio indicated that the softness and change in the elastic modulus of the MRE was mainly affected by the curing agent and the particle fraction.

  • Considering our increasingly interconnected organizations heavily relying on business processes and the growing need for timely accurate knowledge to achieve greater agility in the enterprise, the idea of looking at business processes as a knowledge object is gaining momentum. Business process information is knowledge and should consequently be managed as a valuable organizational asset, particularly because organizations need to react in near real time to environmental changes and events. This paper provides an overview of the situation in this field arguing for a better definition of the intersections between knowledge and business process management. When business process is seen as knowledge, it should be managed as such. We assess and discuss some of the resulting benefits and considering the need for greater dynamic integration between the two domains, we look at ontologies as an interesting technical approach to bridging this gap showing an example for an ontology based sales order process.

Priority-Based Network Interrupt Scheduling for Predictable Real-Time Support

  • Interrupt handling is generally separated from process scheduling. This can lead to a scheduling anomaly and priority inversion. The processor can interrupt a higher priority process that is currently executing, in order to handle a network packet reception interruption on behalf of its intended lower priority receiver process. We propose a new network interrupt handling scheme that combines interrupt handling with process scheduling and the priority of the process. The proposed scheme employs techniques to identify the intended receiver process of an incoming packet at an earlier phase. We implement a prototype system of the proposed scheme on Linux 2.6, and our experiment results show that the prototype system supports the predictable real-time behavior of higher priority processes even when excessive traffic is sent to lower priority processes.

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a teaching strategy focused on problem solving process and explore its effects on science creative problem solving ability, science process skills, science academic achievements and scientific attitudes of students after applying it. Teaching strategy focused on problem solving process employed brainstorming and PMI thinking strategies. The participants were the third grade students of both an experimental class(26 students) and a comparative class(25 students) at the S elementary school located in Goyang-City, Kyonggi Province. The developed strategy was applied to the experimental class for 9 periods of 'Separation of mixture' unit. The results of the tests on the science creative problem solving ability, the science process skills, scientific achievement and scientific attitude were statistically higher in the experimental class.

  • The production part requiring multiple processes such as piecing, blanking and notching are performed with a high production rates in progressive die. In order to prevent the defects of process result, the optimum of strip process layout design, die design, die making, and tryout with inspection etc. are needed. According to these factors of die development process, they required theory and practice of metal working process and its background, die structure, machining conditions for die making, die materials, heat treatment of die components, know-how and so on. In this study, we designed and analyzed die components also simulated the strip process layout of multiple stage drawing by DEFORM. Especially the result of tryout and its analysis become to the feature of this study.

Effects of process variables on aqueous-based AlOx insulators for high-performance solution-processed oxide thin-film transistors

  • Recently, aqueous method has attracted lots of attention because it enables the solution-processed metal oxide thin film with high electrical properties in low temperature fabrication condition to various flexible devices. Focusing the development of aqueous route, many researchers are only focused on metal oxide materials. However, for expansive application of the aqueous-based metal oxide films, the systematic study of performance change with process variables for the development of aqueous-based metal oxide insulator film is urgently required. Here, we propose importance of process variables to achieve high electrical-performance metal oxide insulator based on the aqueous method. We found that the significant process variables including precursor solution temperature and humidity during the spincoating process strongly affect chemical, physical, and electrical properties of $AlO_x$ insulators. Through the optimization of significant variables in process, an $AlO_x$ insulator with a leakage current value approximately $10^5$ times smaller and a breakdown voltage value approximately 2-3 times greater than un-optimized $AlO_x$ was realized. Finally, by introducing the optimized $AlO_x$ insulators to solutionprocessed $InO_x$ TFTs, we successfully achieved $InO_x/AlO_x$ TFTs with remarkably high average field-effect mobility of ${\sim}52cm^2V^{-1}\;s^{-1}$ and on/off current ratio of 106 at fabrication temperature of $250^{\circ}C$.

$CO_2$ Capture Process using Aqueous Monoethanolamine (MEA): Reduction of Solvent Regeneration Energy by Flue gas Splitting (모노에탄올아민(MEA)을 이용한 이산화탄소 포집공정: 배가스 분할 유입을 통한 흡수제 재생 에너지 절감 연구)

  • The process of $CO_2$ capture using aqueous Monoethanolamine(MEA) has been considered as one of the leading technologies for intermediate-term strategy to reduce the $CO_2$ emission. This MEA process, however, consumes relatively a large amount of energy in the stripper for absorbent regeneration. For this reason, various process alternatives are recently established to reduce the regeneration energy. This paper suggests a flue gas split configuration as one of MEA process alternatives and then simulates this process using commercial simulator. This flue gas splitting has an effect on reducing the temperature of the lower section of absorber as well as decreasing the absorbent flow rate. Compared to the base model, this optimized flue gas split process provides 6.4% reduction of solvent flow rate and 5.8% reduction of absorbent regeneration energy.
