  • This study examines the interplay between the reactions of YouTube users and North Korean propaganda. Interesting enough, the study has noticed changes in the strict media environment under young leader Kim. Messages delivered by the communist regime to the outside world appeared to resemble those of 'normal' countries. Although North Korean YouTube was led mainly by the account operator, visitors from different nations do comment on the channel, which suggests the possibility of building international communities for propaganda purposes. Overall, the study observed a sparsely connected social network among ordinary commenters. However, the operator did not exercise tight control over peer-to-peer communication but merely answered questions and tried to facilitate mass participation. In contrast to the many news clips, the documentary content on North Korea's YouTube channel did not explicitly advocate for North Korea's current political positions.

  • Asian Journal of Innovation and Policy (AJIP) would like to introduce an interview section on innovations, innovators, and entrepreneurs if possible in every issue. The interviews introduced will be selected not based on a journalistic view, but rather by its theoretical or practical implications. This issue will introduce an entrepreneur who was a key engineer, Chief Technology Officer (CTO), and CEO of Samsung Electronics, in addition to being the Minister of ICT in the Korean government. Currently, he is the CEO of an investment company. His success was tied to the success of semiconductors at Samsung Electronics, which became the world leader, leading some to even call him "the god of semiconductors". This interview resurrects the debates on the mode 2 society and the role of education in entrepreneurship.

  • Alexander the Great was a world-class leader with tremendous courage. He paid no heed to the dangers of the battlefield, so he was always in the front lines. However, his excessive courage put his life in danger. Herein, we present an analysis of the information contained in the chronicles about a very severe, life-threatening thoracic trauma that nearly killed the great stratelates. The detailed descriptions made by Arrianus allow us to conclude that Alexander the Great experienced a nearly fatal case of tension pneumothorax. Information on how he was managed is also presented.

  • Purpose: This study was done to clarify the concept analysis of positive psychological capital. Methods: Walker and Avant's concept analysis process was used in this study. CINAHL, ProQuest, Web of science, NDSL, RISS databases from 2004 to 2016 were searched using the keywords 'Positive psychological capital' and 'PsyCap'. Sixty-one relevant articles and three book were finally selected. Results: Analysis of identified literature indicated that positive psychological capital attributes were developable potential, positive cognition, expression of emotion, multiple psychological capability, and resources with positive effect. The antecedents were goal achievement, training, leader's motivation, and supportive organizational environment. The consequences were overall wellbeing which is composed of individual's physical, psychological and social wellbeing and enhancement of work outcome. Conclusion: The findings in this study provide a definition of the concept of positive psychological capital and theoretical evidence for the future research for nurses including program development.

  • Inducible MLS resistance gene of Bacillus licheniformis specified by erm K was subcloned in Bacillus subtilis and the DNA sequence corresponding to its control region was determined. The determinant erm K was in Pvu II=Hind III fragment, which was 1.3 kb. The leader region is capable of forming a complex series of inverted complementary repeat sequences (ICRS) centering on at least six axes of symmetry, some of them mutually exclusive, in a way that resulted ultimately in post-transcriptional unmasking of the ribosome loading site for methylase synthesis.

  • Motorola developed the framework of six sigma in 1987. In these days, many companies adapt this powerful tool. In 1996, six sigma was introduced to the Korean companies as a management innovation tool. This study shows case study of 'Champion Project' which was adopted on one Korean company. The champion project is directed by the leader who has a champion belt. The project focus on the processes optimization problem or resource concentration problem to solve critical issues inside of the process. This case study shows the result of champion project. The effect was encouraging in the aspect of effectiveness and efficiency. The most important point of this study is an introduction of the third generation six sigma which was successively adopted on the Korean company.

  • This research investigates the supply chain contract between a distributor and a supplier in which the selling period is relatively short in comparison with long production lead time. At the first stage, supplier who is a Stackelberg leader offers the distributor a contract with a set of parameters, and subjected to those parameters, the distributor places the number of initial orders as well as options. In order to purchase the option, the distributor pays non-linear option premium price with respect to the number of purchased options. At the second stage, based on realized demand, the distributor has the right to exercise option as either put or call which is limited up to the number of purchased options. The wholesale price contract is used as a benchmarking contract. This research has confirmed that the supply chain contract with a non-linear option premium price can help to coordinate the supply chain.

  • This paper presents analytical results of a rotary vane compressor performance when the compressor is used for air supply from underwater. Compression characteristics such as pressure and temperature in a compression chamber are analyzed. Volumetric and adiabatic efficiencies are calculated. Vane dynamics are also performed to give reaction forces on the vane from the cylinder inner surface and from vane slots. Compressor efficiency is about 34.9%, and about 55% of the compressor loss is produced by the friction between the vane nose and the cylinder wall. Volumetric efficiency is about 79.5%, and indicated efficiency is about 77.1%, which are comparable to other displacement type compressors. When roller was introduced between housing inner wall and vane tips, mechanical efficiency could be improved by as much as 24.9%, depending on the roller friction.

  • Saudi Arabia is transitioning from its traditional oil-dependent economy to become a leader in the hydrogen industry. This paper explores the kingdom's strategic investments in hydrogen production and infrastructure as key components of its energy diversification and sustainability efforts. The focus is on enhancing green hydrogen production to meet domestic needs and strengthen its position in the global market. The urgency of diversifying energy sources is emphasized, with projects like the NEOM Green Hydrogen Project illustrating Saudi Arabia's commitment to renewable energy integration. These initiatives are positioned to centralize Saudi Arabia in the global shift toward sustainable energy, signaling a significant pivot in its economic and environmental policies.

  • The purpose of this study is to classify the attitudes toward fast fashion into groups and analyze the differences of the self-consciousness, and make-up behavior by groups. Questionnaires are being administered from 179 high school girls living in Deagu metropolitan City. Frequency, factor analysis, reliability analysis, cluster analysis, ANOVA, Duncant-test, and ${\chi}^2$-test are all used for data analysis. Our findings are as follows. The attitude toward fast fashion shows a significant correlation with the sub-variable self-consciousness and make-up behavior. Attitude toward fast fashion is being categorized into convenience focus, fashion focus, design focus, and season focus. Self-consciousness is social self-consciousness, social anxiety, private self-consciousness, and private anxiety. Make-up behavior is positive effect, fashion leader, and conformity. Attitude toward fast fashion is classified into three groups: disposability, fashionability, and low interest of fashion. The groups show a significant difference in the self-consciousness, and make-up behavior. Groups display no distinctions between the sub-variables in the actual conditions of cosmetics such as a first time for make-up and frequence of visit.
