  • This study compared the characteristics of the optimization technique and the water supply and demand forecast using K-WEAP (Korea-Water Evaluation and Planning System) model and MODSIM (Modified SIMYLD) model considering wtaer supply priority. Currently, The national water resources plan applied same priority for municipal, industrial and agricultural demand. the K-WEAP model performs the ratio allocation to satisfy the maximum satisfaction rate, whereas the MODSIM model should be applied to the water supply priority of demands. As a result of applying the priority, water shortage decreased by an average of $1,035,000m^3$ than same prioritized results. It is due to the increase of the return flow rate as the distribution of Municipal and industrial water increases. Comparing the analysis results of K-WEAP and MODSIM applying the priorities, the relative error was within 5.3% and the coefficient of determination ($R^2$) was 0.9999. In addition, if both models provide reasonable water balance analysis results, K-WEAP is superior to GUI convenience for model construction and data processing. However, MODSIM is more effective in simulation time efficiency. It is expected that it will be able to carry out analysis according to various scenarios using the model.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the affecting factors on perception of marriage needs in 20-30s unmarried workers. This study used raw data from the survey on the actual social and economic conditions of the youth of 2016. Among the 2,534 subjects, 904 unmarried workers in their 20s and 30s were included in the analysis. Dependent variables were marriage needs, and independent variables were age, sex, height, weight, education level, monthly income, parents' economic level, and health-related variables were self-rate health, stress, regular exercise, and life satisfaction included. Statistical analysis was performed binominal logistic regression analysis. In results, there were no factors influencing perception of marriage needs in 20s men, and Education was a predictor in 20s women. In 30s men, the more regular exercise, the less the monthly income, the more positive the perception of marriage needs was. In the 30s women, the better the self-rate health, the more positive the perception of marriage needs was. These findings suggest that health may affect the marriage perception of 30s unmarried workers.

  • This study purposes for the based data for establishing the mid- to long term development direction of Anyang municipal libraries by conducting a survey of residents in Anyang city and focus group interviews with local experts. Based on the results of the survey and FGI analysis conducted in this study, the main implications and discussions for establishing mid- to long term development plans for Anyang municipal libraries in the future are summarized as follows. First, the services used by users are extremely limited compared to the utilization rate of library, and the utilization rate of library programs is low, therefore Anyang municipal libraries need to actively promote various services operated by the library, provide information, and make efforts to improve service use procedures simply. Second, library satisfaction is relatively high, but as a result of analyzing the reasons for some dissatisfaction, active budget investment for purchasing new library materials and ways to increase library accessibility are necessary. Third, due to the low awareness of the operation of specialized libraries, it is necessary to develop specialized, unique library services to Anyang municipal libraries through benchmarking of other best practices. Fourth, in the future, Anyang municipal libraries need to strengthen functions as a complex cultural center along with the functions as an information center, a lifelong education center, and a living convenience center. Lastly, it is required to construct a control tower that can systematically lead the operation of Anyang municipal libraries in the long term through the reorganization of the organizational system.

  • This study was aimed at investigating important factors influencing career success among regular workers. The current researcher scrutinized the degree to which variables and factors affect the career success and occupational turnover rates of the research participants. At the same tune, two hypothetical path models established by the researcher were examined using linear multiple regression methods and the LISREL. After examining the differences among the factors of career success, a comparison was made between the disabled worker group and the non-disabled worker group. A questionnaire using the 5-point Likert scale was distributed to a group of 374 workers with disabilities and 463 workers without disabilities. For the data analysis purpose, the structural equation model, factor analysis, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis were carried out. The results of this study ran be summarized as follows. First, the results of factor analysis showed important categories of conceptual themes of career success. The initial conceptual factor model did not accord with the empirical one. A three-factorial model revealed categories of personal, family, and organizational factor respectively. The personal factor was composed of the self-esteem and self-efficiency. The family factor was consisted of the multi-roles stress and the number of children. Finally, the organizational factor was composed of the capacity for utilizing resources, networking, and the frequency of mentoring. In addition, the total 10 sub areas of career success were divided by two important aspects; the subjective career success and the objective career success. Second, both research participant groups seemed to be influenced by their occupational types. However, all predictive variables excluding the wage rate and the average length of work years had significant impact on job success for the disabled work group, while all the variables excluding the frequency of advice and length of working years had significant impact on job success for the non-disabled worker group. Third, the turnover rate was significantly influenced by the age and the experience of turnover of the research participants. However, the number of co-workers was the strongest predictive variable for the worker group with disabilities, but the occupation choice variable for the worker group without disabilities. For the disabled worker group, the turnover rate was differently influenced by the type of occupation, the length of working years, while multi-role stress and the average working years at the time of turnover for the worker group without disabilities. Fifth, as a result of verifying the hypothetical path model, it showed that the first model was somewhat proper and could predict the career success on both research participant groups. In the second model, the Chi-square, the degree of freedom (($x^2=64.950$, df=61, P=0.341), and the adjusted Goodness of Fit Index (AGFI) were .964, and the Comparative Fit Index (CFI) were .997, and the Root Mean Squared Residual (RMR) was respectively. .038. The model was best fitted and could predict the career success more highly because the goodness of fit index in the whole models was within the allowed range. In conclusion, the following research implications can be suggested. First, the occupational type of research participants was one of the most important variables to predict the career success for both research participant groups. It means that people with disabilities require human development services including education. They need to improve themselves in this knowledge-based society. Furthermore, for maintaining the career success, people with disabilities should be approached by considering the subjective career success aspects including wages and the promotion opportunities than the objective career success aspects.

  • In recent years, one of the major reasons for the fierce competition amongst firms is that they strive to increase their own market shares and customer acquisition rate in the same market with similar and apparently undifferentiated products in terms of quality and perceived benefit. Because of this change in recent marketing environment, the differentiated after-sales service and diversified promotion strategies have become more important to gain competitive advantage. Price promotion is the favorite strategy that most retailers use to achieve short-term sales increase, induce consumer's brand switch, in troduce new product into market, and so forth. However, if marketers apply or copy an identical price promotion strategy without considering the characteristic differences in product and consumer preference, it will cause serious problems because discounted price itself could make people skeptical about product quality, and the changes of perceived value might appear differently depending on other factors such as consumer involvement or brand attitude. Previous studies showed that price promotion would certainly increase sales, and the discounted price compared to regular price would enhance the consumer's perceived values. On the other hand, discounted price itself could make people depreciate or skeptical about product quality, and reduce the consumers' positivity bias because consumers might be unsure whether the current price promotion is the retailer's best price offer. Moreover, we cannot say that discounted price absolutely enhances the consumer's perceived values regardless of product category and purchase situations. That is, the factors that affect consumers' value perceptions and buying behavior are so diverse in reality that the results of studies on the same dependent variable come out differently depending on what variable was used or how experiment conditions were designed. Majority of previous researches on the effect of price-comparison advertising have used consumers' buying behavior as dependent variable. In order to figure out consumers' buying behavior theoretically, analysis of value perceptions which influence buying intentions is needed. In addition, they did not combined the independent variables such as brand loyalty and price discount rate together. For this reason, this paper tried to examine the moderating effect of brand loyalty on relationship between the different levels of discounting rate and buyers' value perception. And we provided with theoretical and managerial implications that marketers need to consider such variables as product attributes, brand loyalty, and consumer involvement at the same time, and then establish a differentiated pricing strategy case by case in order to enhance consumer's perceived values properl. Three research concepts were used in our study and each concept based on past researches was defined. The perceived acquisition value in this study was defined as the perceived net gains associated with the products or services acquired. That is, the perceived acquisition value of the product will be positively influenced by the benefits buyers believe they are getting by acquiring and using the product, and negatively influenced by the money given up to acquire the product. And the perceived transaction value was defined as the perception of psychological satisfaction or pleasure obtained from taking advantage of the financial terms of the price deal. Lastly, the brand loyalty was defined as favorable attitude towards a purchased product. Thus, a consumer loyal to a brand has an emotional attachment to the brand or firm. Repeat purchasers continue to buy the same brand even though they do not have an emotional attachment to it. We assumed that if the degree of brand loyalty is high, the perceived acquisition value and the perceived transaction value will increase when higher discount rate is provided. But we found that there are no significant differences in values between two different discount rates as a result of empirical analysis. It means that price reduction did not affect consumer's brand choice significantly because the perceived sacrifice decreased only a little, and customers are satisfied with product's benefits when brand loyalty is high. From the result, we confirmed that consumers with high degree of brand loyalty to a specific product are less sensitive to price change. Thus, using price promotion strategy to merely expect sale increase is not recommendable. Instead of discounting price, marketers need to strengthen consumers' brand loyalty and maintain the skimming strategy. On the contrary, when the degree of brand loyalty is low, the perceived acquisition value and the perceived transaction value decreased significantly when higher discount rate is provided. Generally brands that are considered inferior might be able to draw attention away from the quality of the product by making consumers focus more on the sacrifice component of price. But considering the fact that consumers with low degree of brand loyalty are known to be unsatisfied with product's benefits and have relatively negative brand attitude, bigger price reduction offered in experiment condition of this paper made consumers depreciate product's quality and benefit more and more, and consumer's psychological perceived sacrifice increased while perceived values decreased accordingly. We infer that, in the case of inferior brand, a drastic price-cut or frequent price promotion may increase consumers' uncertainty about overall components of product. Therefore, it appears that reinforcing the augmented product such as after-sale service, delivery and giving credit which is one of the levels consisting of product would be more effective in reality. This will be better rather than competing with product that holds high brand loyalty by reducing sale price. Although this study tried to examine the moderating effect of brand loyalty on relationship between the different levels of discounting rate and buyers' value perception, there are several limitations. This study was conducted in controlled conditions where the high involvement product and two different levels of discount rate were applied. Given the presence of low involvement product, when both pieces of information are available, it is likely that the results we have reported here may have been different. Thus, this research results explain only the specific situation. Second, the sample selected in this study was university students in their twenties, so we cannot say that the results are firmly effective to all generations. Future research that manipulates the level of discount along with the consumer involvement might lead to a more robust understanding of the effects various discount rate. And, we used a cellular phone as a product stimulus, so it would be very interesting to analyze the result when the product stimulus is an intangible product such as service. It could be also valuable to analyze whether the change of perceived value affects consumers' final buying behavior positively or negatively.

  • This study, in order to improve clinical and practical trainings in the education of radiologic technologists, applies to 76 medical institutions of 91 ones which are used as the hospitals of clinical and practical training in 9 existing junior colleges except 3 new ones of 12 ones throughout all over the country from November 1, in 1982 to April 30, in 1983. And the purpose of this study is to research the percent conditions of basic practical trainings and clinical ones enforced in each college, and the percent conditions, equipments, contents, and opinions in clinical and practical trainings enforced in each hospital. The results are summarized as follows; 1. In the case of junior colleges in the whole country the curriculum of basic practical trainings averages 336.66 hours and the limits are between 120 and 510 hours. The actual hours in practice average 140 hours and the limits are between 60 and 240 hours, which correspond to 41.58% of the curriculum of basic practical trainings. 2. There were three junior colleges among nine that had a reserved hospital for clinical and practical trainings(only 33.33%). 3. The period of the practice was almost vacation in 4 junior colleges. The practice was conducted only for students to want the practice(44.45%), junior colleges that all students in them conducted the practice was 2 junior colleges and presented 22.22%. 4. In the field of students engaging in the practice, each field of radiation therapy and nuclear medicine presented 16.5%, 20.3% and almost students didin't have experience for the practice. 5. In medical institutions the educational institutions for intern showed 67.11%. Hospital with radiologist showed 26.32%. Radiotechnologist who had experience below 5 years presented 60.17%. 6. In the equipment for radiation diagnosis, each hospital had no difference. The number of hospitals passessing diagnostic equipments above 125 KVP was 56.26%. But radiation therapy equipment and nuclear medicine equipment had extremely low rate. 7. In the diagnosis of patient in the practice hospital, conventional radiography-to Skull, Chest, Abdomen, Skeleton, Urogenital system-reached the criterion. But special radiography was comparatively low. There appeared low rate, 32.89% in the field of nuclear medicine, 15.79% in the field of radiation therapy. 8. Students who carried out the practice were 1-89 students, days in practice were 1-30 days. There were differences in that point among among hospitals. Junior colleges conducting the practice were 2 colleges per hospital. Scope of the object were 1-8 junior colleges. 9. The practice conducted for the request of the colleges presented 72.37%, in addition, The prctices were conducted for growth of the younger generation and the same coperation with the colleges establishment of sisterhood with the colleges, relationship with students. 10. The practice conducted without the establishment of plan presented 59.21% The need for guiding book to the practice and evaluating was recognized over 90%. 11. In the relation between the practice with achievement of credit. There were big differences in opinion between hospitals-Group and the colleges-Group; hospital-Group had opinion that must follow achievement of credit with the practice. The colleges-Group had opinion that must conduct the practice after achieving credit. 12. After conducting the practice, in the practice leaders satisfaction degree dissatisfactory opinion presented the most rate 80.26%. Very much satisfactory opinion, as one hospital, presentd only 1.32%. 13. From the past many high school students wanted to control their weight, so there should had been a good education on this, however there wasn't any of those education and still it doesn't exist. Also most school's education are arranged to entrance pressure so they have a lot of knowledge and informations to it, but for real they don't have any activity or actions on it.
