An epipolar rectification is the process of transforming the epipolar geometry of a pair of images into a canonical form. This is accomplished by applying a homography to each image that maps the epipole to a predetermined point. In this process, rectified images transformed by homographies must be satisfied with the epipolar constraint. These homographies are not unique, however, we find out homographies that are suited to system's purpose by means of an additive constraint. Since the rectified image pair be a stereo image pair, we are able to find the disparity efficiently. Therefore, we are able to estimate the three-dimensional information of objects within an image and apply this information to object segmentation. This paper proposes a rectification method for object segmentation and applies the rectification result to the object segmentation. Using color and relative continuity of disparity for the object segmentation, the drawbacks of previous segmentation method, which are that the object is segmented to several region because of having different color information or another object is merged into one because of having similar color information, are complemented. Experimental result shows that the disparity of result image of proposed rectification method have continuity about unique object. Therefore we have confirmed that our rectification method is suitable to the object segmentation.
Marek(말액) is the headgear, which is a form of hempen hoods[Geon(건)] and the origin of it is Pa(파) of band form. A history book of an old Chinese country Post-Han $\ll$ History of HouHan (후한서)$\gg$ had recorded that a soldier wore a red band around his head that was called Pa(파). In the Han dynasty(한대), Pa had been transformed into Chaek(책) or a kind of a hemp rap(건) while e headgear had still remained as the band form and called Marek from e Tang era(당). Quoted from the record of a history book of the Tang era system , a history book of Three Kingdoms(삼국시대) of ancient Korea $\ll$Samguksaki(삼국사기)$\gg$ described that four dancers of Kogryo(고구려) wore Marek on their heads with the costumes of Koguryo, one of those Kingdoms. In consideration that the book of $\ll$Tongjun$\gg$ was the literature of the Tang era so that Marek mentioned in this book was followed by their name, the Marek of Koguryo dancers shown in the history book $\ll$Samguksaki(삼국사기)$\gg$ might be a kind of Koguryo style hemp cap[Geon(건)]. The Marek of Parhae had succeeded to the headgear of Koguryo and the identity was on Koguryo.
Bacillus subtillis strains with transition state regulator mutations and a spore mutation were developed for the overexpression of apsE and for the enhancement of expression level. Among the many regulator genes, degU and hpr were chosen as a representative positive and negative regulator for the aprE, respectively. Spo II G was used for the construction of asporogeneous strains. All the mutants were constructed from two protease-deleted strain DB104 and the apsE gene was transformed with an integration vector pMK101. DB104(deg$U^h$(32) $his^+$)::pMK101(Cm) and DB104($\Delta$her(Em))::pMKl01(Cm) show 7-fold and about 2-fold increase in aprE expression level, respectively. But the effect of transition state regulator mutation on the aprE expression was diminished when the integrated aprE gene was amplified by the high concentration of chloramphenicol, i. e. 30 $\mu\textrm{g}$/ml. DB104($\Delta$spoIIG(Pm) degUh(32) his+)::pMK101(Cm) and DB104($\Delta$spoIIG(Pm) $\Delta$hpr(Em))::pMK101 double mutant show 10-fold and 3-fold increase in aprE expression level, respectively. The results suggest that sporulation mutation and transition state regulator mutation have independent and additive effect on the aprE expression, and the same gene dosage effect on the transition state regulator mutation was also identified.

This paper aims to explore the recent economic restructuring and regional disparity after the IMF crisis in Korea in terms of uneven regional development. The so-called IMF crisis brought about changing Korean society and economy greatly. Although the Korean economy has been almost completely recovered from the IMF crisis, some structural problems remain. In particular, regional disparity has been deepening in the process of economic restructuring for overcoming the IMF crisis. While the Seoul metropolitan area including Kyunggi province has recovered from the crisis relatively fast and industrial production in the area has been kept active, the productive activities of local areas such as Pusan, Taegu, Kwanju and Ulsan province have shrunk significantly. On the contrary, the economic situation of Taejun province is not so bad in comparison with other local areas. The recent deepening of regional disparity after the IMF crisis can be seen as a process of economic restructuring to overcome the crisis. However, it is necessary to point out that production system has already been gradually transformed from Fordism toward post-Fordism since the early 1990s. In this context I argue that the IMF crisis, as an accelerating trigger of such spatial reconfiguration, has deepen regional disparity.

The mass transport is very complicated at the area which has the macro tide and complex geometry such as Gyeonggi bay. Especially, the long period current has a strong influence on the estuarine ecosystem and the long-term distribution of substances. The long period current is caused by several external forcing, whose unique characteristic varies spatially and temporally. The variation characteristics of long period current is analysed and its generation mechanism is studied. The tidal nonlinear constituents such as overtide and compound tide are generated due to nonlinear interaction and it causes mean sea level setup. The tidal wave propagating up into estuary is transformed rapidly by decrease of cross-sectional area and depth. Therefore the mean sea level is getting rise toward upriver. The high and low tide level is similar between down-river(Incheon) and up-river(Ganghwa) during neap tide when the tidal deformation is decreased. The tidal phase difference between two tidal stations causes a periodic fluctuation of sea level difference. The low water level of Ganghwa station during spring tide does not descend under EL(-)2.5 m, but the low water level of Incheon fall down under EL(-)4.0 m. The variation of tidal range and its sea level are increased during spring tide. It is found that the long period current $M_{sf}$ is quite similar to that of sea level difference between the two tidal stations. It means that the sea surface inclination caused by the spatial difference of tidal deformation is important forcing for the generation of long period current.
In order to search for specific genotypes related to this unique phenotype, we used whole genomic DNA microarray to characterize the genomic diversity of Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) strains isolated from clinical patients in China. The open reading frame (ORF) fragments on our microarray were generated by PCR using gene-specific primers. Genomic DNA of H. pylori 26695 and J99 were used as templates. Thirty-four H. pylori isolates were obtained from patients in Shanghai. Results were judged based on In(x) transformed and normalized Cy3/Cy5 ratios. Our microarray included 1882 DNA fragments corresponding to 1636 ORFs of both sequenced H. pylori strains. Cluster analysis, revealed two diverse regions in the H. pylori genome that were not present in other isolates. Among the 1636 genes, 1091 (66.7%) were common to all H. pylori strains, representing the functional core of the genome. Most of the genes found in the H. pylori functional core were responsible for metabolism, cellular processes, transcription and biosynthesis of amino acids, functions that are essential to H. pylori's growth and colonization in its host. In contrast, 522 (31.9%) genes were strain-specific genes that were missing from at least one strain of H. pylori. Strain-specific genes primarily included restriction modification system components, transposase genes, hypothetical proteins and outer membrane proteins. These strain-specific genes may aid the bacteria under specific circumstances during their long-term infection in genetically diverse hosts. Our results suggest 34 H. pylori clinical strains have extensive genomic diversity. Core genes and strain-specific genes both play essential roles in H. pylori propagation and pathogenesis. Our microarray experiment may help select relatively significant genes for further research on the pathogenicity of H. pylori and development of a vaccine for H. pylori.

This research was carried out to investigate the history and development process of the Bansu(泮水) which appeared uniquely at the Chinese 'temple-school(廟學)', Confucian schools as the common and necessary facility through the literature reviews and field surveys. The earliest record about the Bansu was shown in "The Book of Odes(詩經)". Originally Bansu was the water system which flowed near the 'Banpalace(泮宮)', but, in the following time, Bansu has become the symbol of the school which was built by the feudal lords and a very important element in the temple-school landscape. Temple-schools were started at Song(宋) Dynasty and at that time there was no certain form of Bansu, just the natural water course near the structure. Until Ming Dynasty, the "Picture of the Feudal lords' Ban-su" in the book "Samjedohoe(三才圖會)" that compiled by Wang-Xi(王圻), the form of Bansu was appeared to be transformed as the half-round pond. And the half-round pond as called Banji(泮池) of today's form was all rebuilt after Ming Dynasty. The half-moon pond appeared at the private houses, shrines, temples and villages were influenced by the book. From this research we can get the conclusions that Banji seemed one of the sacred one and used in the space arrangement formally for the various functions. This research has found the cultures of half-moon ponds which were used uniquely in China.

As the university's academic management was not carried out smoothly due to COVID-19, and most of them were conducted as non-face-to-face classes, students' dropout is steadily increasing. In this study focus group interviews were conducted to analyze physics students and professors' recognition of the COVID-19 non-face-to-face class environment. Based on the results, the implications of non-face-to-face classes for physics education were presented. Physics students described their feelings about un-tact teaching as 'the class in which the body is comfortable but the mind is uncomfortable', 'a person who is smarter than me seems to explain a book, reading it' and 'a short clip lecture which may be comfortable but cause losses to me', while the professors also described them as 'a fully transformed class system' and 'a online class putting much burden on me'. Regarding school dropout, students said that the concerns about dropout during non-face-to-face classes were deepened about transfer or transfer. The professors said that the department atmosphere had lost vitality due to the increase in non-face-to-face classes and academic dropouts, and had a lot of worries because of the recruitment rate and external university evaluation. The implications of the COVID-19 non-face-to-face class situation for physics education suggest that it is required to strengthen the interaction between professors and students, finding ways to enhance the sense of reality to supplement laboratory classes and giving opportunities to professors to share their pedagogical contents knowledge in physics.

In the present study, the optimization of the main particulars of a ship using AI-based design search techniques was investigated. For the design search techniques, the SHERPA algorithm by HEEDS was applied, and CFD analysis using STAR-CCM+ was applied for the calculation of resistance performance. Main particulars were automatically transformed by modifying the main particulars of the ship at the stage of preprocessing using JAVA script and Python. Small catamaran was chosen for the present study, and the main dimensions of the length, breadth, draft of demi-hull, and distance between demi-hulls were considered as design variables. Total resistance was considered as an objective function, and the range of displaced volume considering the arrangement of the outfitting system was chosen as the constraint. As a result, the changes in the individual design variables were within ±5%, and the total resistance of the optimized hull form was decreased by 11% compared with that of the existing hull form. Throughout the present study, the resistance performance of small catamaran could be improved by the optimization of the main dimensions without direct modification of the hull shape. In addition, the application of optimization using design search techniques is expected for the improvement in the resistance performance of a ship.
This article examines the process of how Daesoon thought keeps its own identity while being practiced as a religion in Korean culture through the perspective of theological hermeneutics of E. Schillebeeckx, a representative theologian in 20th century, especially on the centering of the matter of experience. Schillebeeckx says that an experience is an occurrence of perception by encountering something different from oneself. According to him, 1) the occurrence of perception is premised on a framework or form of interpretation which prescribes experience as the experience in the perceptive dimension. 2) A framework of interpretation is subject to pre-existing system or structure which already has formed a basis to the experience. It consists of various interpretative elements such as social form, general knowledges, various experiences, theoretical models in their society, etc.. 3) The experiences take place in the reflection of contemporary situation, and it is understood by a society, thus making it a social stream. This experience is expressed historically, gains historicity in the process of being handed down from person to person, from generation to generation. In this way, an experience starts to form a tradition. 4) The tradition is a historical stream which gives rise to, admits, and integrates various experiences, religious revelation, and faith etc. In this way, the tradition as a historical stream becomes a field of religious actuality such as revelation, salvation, etc. Conclusively, a religion takes place, is formed, only when it is understood anew by the people who live in that cultural tradition through their languages. The ground Daesoon thought takes place, is formed, is in this way. Daesoon thought takes place in the core of traditional Korean culture, undergoes changes when it encounters the other stream of traditional Korean culture, and the vice versa. Because of this inevitable change, ironically enough, Daesoon thought can maintain its own identity as Daesoon thought, and Korean culture its own identity as Korean culture, avoiding falling into the tertiary which is neither Daesoon thought nor Korean culture. It is in this way that any religion can be in the faithfulness to its starting point to be enriched and transformed in its interaction with the other tradition. At here is the reason Daesoon thought has to have an openness to the changing world.
