  • In this paper, we introduce the concepts of fuzzy (r, s)-semi-preopen sets and fuzzy (r, s)-semi-precontinuous mappings on intuitionistic fuzzy topological spaces in ${\check{S}}ostak's$ sense. The relations among fuzzy (r, s)-semicontinuous, fuzzy (r, s)-precontinuous, and fuzzy (r, s)-semi-precontinuous mappings we discussed. The concepts of fuzzy (r, s)-semi-preinterior, fuzzy (r, s)-semi-preclosure, fuzzy (r, s)-semi-preneighborhood, and fuzzy (r, s)-quasi-semi-preneighborhood are given. Using these concepts, the characterization for the fuzzy (r, s)-semi-precontinuous mapping is obtained. Also, we introduce the notions of fuzzy (r, s)-semi-preopen and fuzzy (r, s)-semi-preclosed mappings on intuitionistic fuzzy topological spaces in ${\check{S}}ostak's$ sense, and then we investigate some of their characteristic properties.

  • Let R be a ring and S a multiplicative subset of R. An R-module T is called u-S-torsion (u-always abbreviates uniformly) provided that sT = 0 for some s ∈ S. The notion of u-S-exact sequences is also introduced from the viewpoint of uniformity. An R-module F is called u-S-flat provided that the induced sequence 0 → A ⊗R F → B ⊗R F → C ⊗R F → 0 is u-S-exact for any u-S-exact sequence 0 → A → B → C → 0. A ring R is called u-S-von Neumann regular provided there exists an element s ∈ S satisfying that for any a ∈ R there exists r ∈ R such that sα = rα2. We obtain that a ring R is a u-S-von Neumann regular ring if and only if any R-module is u-S-flat. Several properties of u-S-flat modules and u-S-von Neumann regular rings are obtained.

  • This study intended to investigate the relationship between father's/mother's values(materialism, competitive achievement pressure, neighborhood relations), father/mother-student emotional intimacy & father's/mother's over control and university student's alienation, and examin the relative influences of independent variables on university student's alienation. For this purpose, data were obtained from 402 male 7nd female university students in Seoul and Inchon, and analyzed by factor analysis, Cronbach's $\alpha$, frequencies, %, Pearson's r and stepwise multiple regression. The major findings were as follows : 1) father's and mother's values had significant relations to university student's alienation. As father and mother had more materialism and competitive achievement pressure, their university student was more alienated, and as father and mother had more neighborhood relations, the student was less alienated. 2) Emotional intimacy between father/mother and student had negative relation to university student's alienation. As the level of emotional intimacy was higher, the student was less alienated 3) Father's and mother's over control had positive relations to university student's alienation. As father's and mother's over control was higher, the student was more alienated. 4) Mother's neighborhood relations, father's and mother's over control, mother-student emotional intimacy and father's materialism had influences on university student's alienation in descending order. These independent variables explained 25. 0 % of the total valiance. Father's materialism and father's/mother's over control increased the level of university student's alienation, but mother's neighborhood relations and mother-student emotional intimacy decreased the bevel of student's alienation. Emerging evidences suggested that in order to prevent or decrease the university student's alienation, their parents should have less materialism and more neighborhood relations, and should not use over control on their university student but produce more emotional support.

  • All d-homogeneous $C^*$-algebras $T^d$ over $\prod^{s_4}S^4{\times}\prod^{s_2}S^2{\times}\prod^{s_3}S^3{\times}\prod^{s_1}S^1$ are constructed. It is shown that $T^d$ are strongly Morita equivalent to $C(\prod^{s_4}S^4{\times}\prod^{s_2}S^2{\times}\prod^{s_3}S^3{\times}\prod^{s_1}S^1)$.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze a causal relations of children's self-control, self-concept, reflection, age, sex and mother's parenting. The subjects were 86 children of 5-and 6-year=olds, and their mothers and leachers. The instruments were TSCRS, MFFT, Self-concept inventory and Parenting scale. The major findings of this study were as follows; (1) Children's reflection, social self-concept and mother's control parenting predicted children's self-control. 20% of the valiance of children's self-control was explained by these variables. (2) Children's reflection was the first contribution factor and had a direct positive effect on children's self-control. Children's social self-concept had a direct positive effect on children's self-control. Mother's control parenting had a direct negative effect on children's self-control. (3) Mother's affect parenting had an indirect positive effect through children's reflection and social self-concept on children's self-control. Children's sex had indirect effect through mother's control and affect parenting on children's self control. Children's age had indirect effect through children's reflection and mother's control parenting on children's self-control.

  • This study was carried out to determine the functional works and basic ingredients of Sagoonja-Tang on sponge cake. The experimental groups consisted of 6% mixtures of five (Ed-confirm the number) kinds powders : S1 for Sagoonja-Tang powder, S2 for Panax ginseng, S3 for Poria cocos, Koidz, S4 for Atractylodes macrocephala, and S5 for Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch. The volume of sponge cake somewhat decreased after adding the ingredients, and the volume differences in order from highest to lowest, were control>S1>S3>S2>S4>S5. In the microbiological quality test, viable cell counts were high in control groups of sponge cake, and the numbers of viable cell for control sponge cake reached to $9{\times}10^7CFU/g$ on the 7th day of storage, and decreased to $2.5{\times}10^5CFU/g$ on the 10th day of storage. All sponge cakes added with ingredient's powder showed pretty low viable cell counts. Especially, the group S5 showed the lowest counts of $1.2{\times}10^2CFU/g$ on the 7th day of storing. In the texture analyses of sponge cake, All groups showed higher degree of hardness, gumminess and chewiness than SC. The antioxidative activity of the Sagoonja-Tang's ingredients was measured. The POV value measured was S5>S4>S3>S2 >S1>control in order of highest to lowest. In sensory test, the overall acceptability of sponge cake was from highest to lowest S3>SC S2>S1>S5>S4.

  • The purpose of this study was to explore a causal model of mother's parenting and children's locus of control to self-control in elementary school children. The subjects were 582 children of 4th, 5th and 6th grade. The instruments were Self-Control Rating Scale for Children, Locus of Control Scale for Children and Parenting Scale. The major findings of this study were as follows. 1) Children's locus of control, mother's warmth-acceptance and permissiveness-nonintervention , mother's education level and children's sex predicted children's self-control. 23% of the variance of children's self-control was explainer by these variables. 2) Mother's warmth-acceptance had a direct and an indirect positive effect through children's locus of control on children's self-control and was the first contribution factor. Children's locus of control had a first direct effect on children's self-control. 3) Mother's permissiveness-nonintervention had a direct and an indirect negative effect through children's locus of control on children's self-control. Mother's education level had a direct and an indirect effect through children's locus of control on children's self-control. Children's sex had a direct and an indirect effect through mother's rejection-restriction on children's self-control. Mother's rejection-restriction had an indirect effect through children's locus of control on children's self-control. Family income had an indirect effect through mother's parenting on children's self-control. Father's education level had an indirect effect through mother's permissiveness-nonintervention on children's self-control.

  • The relationship between parent's attitude toward children's emotional expressiveness and children's emotional intelligence(EI) was investigated with the Parent Attitude toward Children's Expressiveness Scale(Saarni, 1990), and children's EI was assessed by a teacher rating scale developed by Kim(1999). The subjects were 121 triads of 3- to 6-year-old children and their mothers and fathers. Data were analyzed by frequencies, percentiles, means, standard deviations, Cronbach's ${\alpha}$, two-way ANOVAs, Pearson's correlations, and multiple regression. Results indicated differences in level of EI as a function of gender and age; differences in both mother's and father's attitudes toward children's expressiveness as a function of children's gender and age; and positive correlation between mother's and father's attitudes toward emotional expressiveness and children's EI. Children's age and parental attitude toward children's emotional expressiveness explained 46.7% of children's EI.

  • It has been proved that if $\mathbb{X}^{(s,s)}$ is the union of two linear star-configurations in $\mathbb{P}^2$ of type $s{\times}s$, then $(I_{\mathbb{X}^{(s,s)}})_s{\neq}\{0\}$ for s = 3, 4, 5, and $(I_{\mathbb{X}^{(s,s)}})_s=\{0\}$ for $s{\geq}6$. We extend $\mathbb{P}^2$ to $\mathbb{P}^n$ and show that if $\mathbb{X}^{(s,s)}$ is the union of two linear star-configurations in $\mathbb{P}^n$, then $(I_{\mathbb{X}^{(s,s)}})_s=\{0\}$ for $n{\geq}3$ and $s{\geq}3$. Using this generalization, we also prove that the secant variety $Sec_1(Split_s(\mathbb{P}^n))$ has the expected dimension 2ns + 1 for $n{\geq}3$ and $s{\geq}3$.
