여객선대 배치 및 경로 선택 문제를 위한 최적화 모형 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on Optimization Models for Passenger Ship Fleet Routing)

  • In the transportation literature, many useful decision making models for ship routing and ship scheduling have been studied. But the majority of these studies are on industrial carriers, bulk carriers, or tankers. It is quite recent that a few optimization models have been developed for liner fleet routing and scheduling problems. However there have been few academic studies on decision making models for the routing or scheduling problems of passenger ships in spite of their economic importance in the entire shipping industry. The purpose of this study is to develop analytic decision making models for ship routing and scheduling for the passenger ship fleet. This study gives two optimization models, one is a linear programming model and the other a goal programming model. These two models are solved easy by commercial linear programming softwares and suggest optimal ship routing plans and many other useful implications for passenger ship fleet managers.

Routing Decision with Link-weight Calculating Function in WDM Switching Networks

  • In this paper, we have proposed the new link-weight calculating function using for routing decision in WDM networks. The proposed link-weight calculating functions includes following factors those are available wavelengths per link, distance loss, total wavelengths, and limited wavelength conversion. The calculated link-weight is applied into the algorithm of routing decision in order to determine the available lightpath that qualifies user requests. The objective is to improve the performance of wavelengths assignment with fast determining the suitable lightpath by using the proposed link-weights calculating function. The analytical model of WDM switching networks is introduced for numerical analysis. The link-weight calculating function is performed. Finally, the performance of proposed algorithm is displayed with numerical results in term of the blocking probability, the probability that connection requests from users are rejected due to there are no available lightpath to be assigned for them. It is also shown that the blocking probability is varied in depending on the number of available wavelengths and the degree of wavelength conversion. The numerical results also show that the proposed link-weight calculating function is more cost-effective choice for the routing decision in WDM switching networks.

  • In the rapidly propagating Internet based electronic transaction environment. the importance of real time order confirmation has been more emphasized, In this paper, using data mining techniques, we develop intelligent operations decision model to allow real time order confirmation at the time the customer places an order with required delivery terms. Among various operation plannings used for order fulfillment. mill routing is the first interface decision point to link the order receiving at the marketing with the production planning for order fulfillment. Though linear programming based mathematical optimization techniques are mostly used for mill routing problems, some early orders should wait until sufficient orders are gathered for optimization. And that could effect longer order fulfillment lead-time, and prevent instant order confirmation of delivery terms. To cope with this problem, we provide the intelligent decision model to allow instant order based mill routing decisions. Data mining techniques of decision trees and neural networks. which are more popular in marketing and financial applications, are used to develop the model. Through diverse computational trials with the industrial data from the steel company. we have reported that the performance of the proposed approach is effective compared to the present heuristic only mill routing results. Various issues of data mining techniques application to the mill routing problems having linear programming characteristics are also discussed.

  • This paper presents a multi-criteria decision model and Multi-Criteria Generic Algorithm(MCGA) approach to improve backbone topology by leveraging the Virtual Link(VL) system in an hierarchical Link-State(LS) routing domain. Given that the sound backbone topology structure has a great impact on the overall routing performance in an hierarchical LS domain, the importance of this research is evident. The proposed decision model is to find an optimal configuration of VLs that properly meets two-pronged engineering goals in installing and maintaining VLs: i.e., operational costs and network reliability. The experiment results clearly indicates that it is essential to the effective operations of hierarchical LS routing domain to consider not only engineering aspects but also specific benefits from systematical layout of VLs, thereby presenting the validity of the decision model and MCGA.

  • In order to take TC forecasts from different observatories into consideration, and make quantitative assessment and analysis for avoiding TC routes from the view of safety and cost, a new safe-economic decision making method of TC avoidance routing on ocean was put forward. This model is based on combining forecast of TC trace based on neural networks, technical method to determine the future TC wind and wave fields, technical method of fuzzy information optimization, risk analysis theory, and meteorological-economic decision making theory. It has applied to the simulation of MV Tianlihai's shipping on ocean. The result shows that the model can select the optimum plan from 7 plans, the selected plan is in accordance with the one selected by experienced captains.

  • 본 논문에서는 강화학습(RL : Reinforcement Learning) 환경 하에서 정책 기울기 값 기법을 사용하는 적응적인 QoS 라우팅 기법을 제안하였다. 이 기법은 기존의 강화학습 환경 하에 제공하는 기법에 비해 기대 보상값의 기울기 값을 정책에 반영함으로써 빠른 네트워크 환경을 학습함으로써 보다 우수한 라우팅 성공률을 제공할 수 있는 기법이다. 이를 검증하기 위해 기존의 기법들과 비교 검증함으로써 그 우수성을 확인하였다.

  • Mobile Ad-hoc Networks 환경에서 노드의 이동성을 고려하기 위한 라우팅 알고리즘은 그 특성에 따라 Proactive와 Reactive 방식으로 구분되며, 두 가지 라우팅의 장점을 조합하는 많은 Hybrid 라우팅이 ZRP (Zone Routing Protocol) 알고리즘을 기반으로 설계되어왔다. ZRP는 특정 지역의 Zone을 생성한 후, Zone 내부에는 Proactive, 외부에는 Reactive 방식을 운영하여 근거리 노드들을 향하는 데이터의 경로 탐색 패킷 발생의 비용을 최소화 하였다. 하지만 실제 네트워크에서의 데이터 전송은 짧은 시간 영역에서 특정 노드에게만 요구되는 경향이 있으며, 이에 대한 고려가 없는 ZRP는 이러한 요구를 만족시키기에는 제한적이다. 본 연구는 실시간 데이터 전송량과 전송 경로의 홉 수를 고려하여, 소스 노드와 목적지 노드를 근간으로 하는 Zone을 on-demand로 형성하는 효율적인 Hybrid 라우팅을 제안하고, 이를 위하여 Zone의 생성 및 소멸을 결정하는 DZD (Dynamic Zone Decision) 알고리즘을 고안한다. 또한, 본 연구의 성능을 검증하기 위하여 기존의 Proactive, Reactive, Hybrid 라우팅 알고리즘과의 비교결과를 분석하였다.

  • Facing in very rapidly changing environments via information technologies, we need to study and develop new information technologies in postal delivery service in korea. We study to find the near optimal route for the better postal service between the collection centers. Optimal routing decision for the postal delivery is NP-Hard. The main purpose of this paper is to develop the near optimal simulation technique for the postal routing decision We consider the distance between collection centers, and the quantity of post articles in the collection center to obtain the near optimal route. We use the heuristic algorithm to obtain the near optimal solution for the transportation route of postal articles. Also, we try to show the transportation route by using the map after deciding the near optimal route.

하이브리드 WMN을 위한 가상 도메인 기반의 반응형 라우팅 프로토콜 (A Domain-based Reactive Routing Protocol for the Hybrid WMN)

  • 본논문은하이브리드WMN의계층구조메시를고려한무선다중홉라우팅프로토콜에대하여제안한다. 다양한 무선 응용서비스의 가능성을 가진 WMN은 오랜 연구에도 불구하고 실제 사용을 위해서는 아직 해결되어야 할 과제들이 많이 남아있다. 특히 라우팅 프로토콜 부문은 MANET을 위해 설계된 프로토콜을 적용하면 하이브리드 WMN에서는 라우팅 효율이 떨어지는 문제를 우선적으로 해결하여야 한다. 라우팅 성능향상을 위해서는 우수한 경로구성 프로토콜과 경로 메트릭이 필요하다. 하지만 최근의 연구는 교차 계층 설계에 의한 경로 메트릭에 집중되어 있다. 따라서 본 논문은 하이브리드 WMN에서의 라우팅 성능향상을 위해 필요하지만 연구가 부족한 경로구성 프로토콜을 제안하는 것이 목적이다. 본 논문에서 제안한 라우팅 프로토콜은 하이브리드 WMN을 가상의 도메인으로 노드들을 그룹화하고 전송경로 구성을 도메인 기반으로 수행하도록 설계된 reactive 방식이다. 제안한 프로토콜의 성능분석을 위한 시뮬레이션 결과 경로결정 평균 지연시간이 대표적인 reactive 방식인 AODV에 비해 43% 단축되었다.
