MEASUREMENT OF FIELD PERFORMANCE FOR TRACTOR

  • This study was performed to develop a measurement system of tractor field performance for plow and rotary operations. Measurement system for tractor consisted of torque sensors to measure torque of drive axles and PTO axle, speed sensors to measure rotational speed of drive axles and engine, microcomputer to control data logger, and data logger as I/O interface system. The measurement system was installed on four-wheel-drive tractor. Four-element full-bridge type strain gages were used for torque measurement of drive axles and optical encoders were used to measure speeds of drive axles and engine. Slip rings were mounted on the rotational axles. Signals from sensors were inputted to data logger that was controlled by microcomputer with parallel communication. Sensors were calibrated before the field tests. Regression equations were found on completion of the calibrations. The field experiment was performed at paddy fields and uplands. Rotary and plow were used when the tractor was operated in the field. Travelling speeds of the tractor were 1.9 km/h, 2.7 km/h, 3.7 km/h, 5.5 km/h, 8.2 km/h, and 11.8 km/h. Operating depths of implements were maintained approximately 20cm during the tests. Torque data of drive axles were different at each location during plow and rotary operations. Results showed that torque of rear axles were greater than those of front axles. Total torque were 6860 - 11064 Nm at the upland and 7360 - 14190 Nm at the paddy field for plow operations. It was found that torque at the paddy field were about 20% greater than those at the upland for plow operations. Torque data showed that rotary operations required less power than plow operation at the paddy field and the upland. Torque measurements at each axle for rotary operations were only 8 - 16% of plow operations in the upland and 15 - 20% in the paddy field.

스페이서 테이프 생산을 위한 회전형 엠보싱 처리 시스템에 대한 연구 (A Study on Rotary Type Embossing Process System for Spacer Tape Production)

  • 최근 디스플레이용 부품소재는 국가 산업 경쟁력을 강화시킬 수 있는 고부가가치 산업분야로 발전하고 있다. 하지만 디스플레이용 부품소재 생산을 위한 시스템은 대부분 수입에 의존하며 개발이 미비한 상태이다. 그러므로 디스플레이용 부품소재인 스페이서 테이프 생산을 위한 엠보싱 처리 시스템의 국산화 및 생산성 증대를 위한 시스템 향상이 시급한 실정이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 엠보싱처리 시스템의 국산화 및 생산성 증대를 위한 스페이서 테이프 생산을 위한 회전형 엠보싱 처리 시스템을 제안한다. 시스템은 권출부, 성형부, 권치부, 세정부, 검사부로 구성된다. 이 중, 성형부의 금형을 회전형 방식으로 설계하였고, 각 구성품들을 설계하고 시제작품을 제작하여 성능 실험을 하였다. 성능 실험은 삼차원 측정기를 통해 엠보싱 형상, 직경, 엠보싱 간격 및 반대편 엠보싱과의 거리를 측정하였다. 오염물 검출 실험을 하기 위해, 검사부를 통해 첫 번째 샘플과 반복 생산한 후의 샘플에 대해 이물질 레벨을 측정하였다. 그리고 샘플에 이물질을 부착한 후 세정부를 통해 샘플을 세정한 후의 이물질 개수를 측정하여 오염물 세정 실험을 하였다. 또한, 시제작품에 의해 생산되는 스페이서 테이프의 생산성을 측정하였다.

  • 군용 전투 차량은 전시 상황에 여러 종류의 장애물들이 존재하는 험로를 주행해야 한다. 이런 환경에서는 전투 차량의 무거운 차체와 험로의 큰 장애물로 인해 큰 반력이 발생한다. 차륜형 견마 로봇에는 큰 장애물을 극복하기 위해서 회전형 현가장치가 적용되고, 미끄럼 조향 방식이 적용된다. 본 논문에서는 실시간 해석에 유리하도록 모델을 단순화시킨 방법을 제시하고, 기존 다물체 동역학 모델과 비교를 통해서 신뢰도 및 효율성을 확인하였다.

차량 운전 시뮬레이터에서 모션과 영상의 동기화를 위한 알고리즘 및 구현 방안 (Motion and Image Matching Algorithms and Implementation for Motion Synchronization in a Vehicle Driving Simulator)

  • This work shows how to create an algorithm and implementation for motion and image matching between a vehicle simulator and Unity 3D based virtual object. The motion information of the virtual vehicle is transmitted to the real simulator via a RS232 communication protocol, and the motion is controlled based on the inverse kinematics solution of the platform adopting rotary-type six actuators driving system. Wash-out filters to implement the effective motion of the motion platform are adopted, and thereby reduce the dizziness and increase the realistic sense of motion. Furthermore, the simulator system is successfully designed aiming to reducing size and cost with adaptation of rotary-type six actuators, real driving environment via VR (Virtual Reality), and control schemes which employ a synchronization between 6 motors and 3rd order motion profiles. By providing relatively big sense of motion particularly in impact and straight motions mainly causing simulator sickness, dizziness is remarkably reduced, thereby enhancing the sense of realistic motion.

철도차량용 회전형 축소모델 선형유도전동기의 운전모드 연구 (A Study on an Operation Mode of a Rotary-type Small-scaled LIM for Railway Transit)

  • Authors design a rotary-type small-scaled linear induction motor(LIM) and a performance test machine before manufacturing a real-scaled LIM for a railway transit. The designed LIM is a single-sided, short primary type and its primary has 4 poles. The rated power is 10(kW). In order to analyze characteristics of the LIM, authors use a mixed 2D-3D FEM analysis. 3-D FEM analysis is used for calculating a distribution of eddy-current on the semi-caped AL-sheet of the secondary reaction. Authors calculate a correction factor of conductivity and an equivalent conductivity on the secondary AL-sheet using a normalized eddy-current. The equivalent conductivity which is calculated in this way includes a transverse edge-effect of the LIM. Authors apply the equivalent conductivity on the secondary AL-sheet of 2D-FEM model and get performance characteristics of the LIM. Basic characteristics such as thrust and normal force, input current, efficiency and power factor of the LIM have been analyzed with the variation of frequency and speed. In order to apply an air-gap control system, the variation of the basic characteristics have been analyzed with the air-gap length variation of the LIM. Finally, authors introduce an operation mode using the air-gap control system and conduct a research on feasibility of the system.

The Fabrication of Artificial Fine Aggregates Using Stone Sludge and Spent Bleaching Clay

  • Artificial fine aggregates (denoted AFA) were fabricated using spent bleaching clay (denoted SBC) generated from processed vegetable oil and stone sludge (denoted SS) produced from crushed aggregate manufacturing materials for use as functional construction materials. Each raw material was crushed to particle size finer than $150{\mu}m$, and fine spherical pellets of approximately 1 ~ 4 mm in diameter were prepared by a pelletizing process. The physical properties of the AFA were measured with different types of sintering equipment. A new type of vertical furnace that sinters fine aggregates in a fluidized bed at high temperatures was designed and tested. AFA sintered in a rotary kiln at $1125^{\circ}C$ showed a bulk density of $1.5g/cm^3$ and a water absorption of 16%. AFA sintered in the vertical furnace at $1125^{\circ}C$ showed a bulk density of $1.9g/cm^3$ and water absorption of 8.5%. The bulk density of the AFA sintered in the vertical furnace showed a bulk density 27% higher and water absorption 47% lower than those of AFA sintered in the rotary kiln.

양계장용 로터리 관리기 개발에 관한 연구 (Development of Rotary Cultivator for Poultry Farm)

  • Recently, environment-friendly cultivation technology is popular. A cultivator is useful for turning over the stall bedding in a poultry farm. In this study, a rotary-based cultivator with a rechargeable battery was developed for eco-friendly management of broiler chickens. From the results of the test run, the clustered stall bedding was approximately divided into up and down layers. Through experimental evaluation, the working width was more than 60 cm, and the noise was less than 80 dB. The output of the motor was 400 W, and the speed of rotation was 3000 rpm. Electric battery type cultivators are expected to be widely used in the livestock industry.

Experimental calibration of forward and inverse neural networks for rotary type magnetorheological damper

  • This paper presents a systematic design and training procedure for the feed-forward back-propagation neural network (NN) modeling of both forward and inverse behavior of a rotary magnetorheological (MR) damper based on experimental data. For the forward damper model, with damper force as output, an optimization procedure demonstrates accurate training of the NN architecture with only current and velocity as input states. For the inverse damper model, with current as output, the absolute value of velocity and force are used as input states to avoid negative current spikes when tracking a desired damper force. The forward and inverse damper models are trained and validated experimentally, combining a limited number of harmonic displacement records, and constant and half-sinusoidal current records. In general the validation shows accurate results for both forward and inverse damper models, where the observed modeling errors for the inverse model can be related to knocking effects in the measured force due to the bearing plays between hydraulic piston and MR damper rod. Finally, the validated models are used to emulate pure viscous damping. Comparison of numerical and experimental results demonstrates good agreement in the post-yield region of the MR damper, while the main error of the inverse NN occurs in the pre-yield region where the inverse NN overestimates the current to track the desired viscous force.

  • 유압 펌프 또는 모터, 특히 레이디얼피스톤형 모터, 용 분배기는 동적인 평형상태를 유지하기 위해 양면이 완전히 똑같이 가공된 회전부재와 이 부재의 양면에 동적평형을 보조할 수 있도록 표면에 가공된 형상이 동일한 2개의 고정부재와 이 2개의 고정부재의 간격유지를 위하여 회전부재주위에 사각의 단면적을 갖는 원형링으로 이루어져 있다. 회전부재는 기본적으로 밸브부를 가지고 있으며 평형상태를 보조하기위해 밸브부의 외주에 정압베어링을 설치할 수도 있다. 2개의 고정 부재중 1개는 몇 개의 단이 있는 부재인데 이는 압력상승에 의한 볼트의 인장을 보상하기 위해 밸브케이싱과 축방향의 이동이 가능하도록 하기 위한 방법이다.

차량용 CO2 에어컨 사이클 성능 향상을 위한 일체형 팽창기-압축기 성능 해석 (An Analysis of the Performance of a Combined Expander-Compressor Unit for a CO2 Automotive Air Conditioning Cycle)

  • A design combining the use of a compressor and expander was introduced in order to improve the cycle performance of a $CO_2$ automotive air conditioning system. Both the compressor and expander used were of rotary vane type and were designed to share a common shaft in a housing. Numerical simulation was carried out to evaluate the merit of the combined unit. In a typical automotive air conditioning operating conditions, the COP of the system was improved by 8.7% by the application of the combined unit. The compressor input was reduced by 5.2% through use of the expander output. In addition, about 3.06% increase in the cooling capacity was obtained through isentropic expansion in the expander. Our study noted that, as the pressure difference between the gas cooler and the evaporator becomes larger, the COP of the system improved increases unless the mass flow rate in the expander exceeds that in the compressor.
