The Ron proto-oncogene is a human receptor for macrophage-stimulating protein (MSP). The exclusion of exon 11 in alternative splicing generates ${\Delta}RON$ protein that is constitutively activated. Heterogenous ribonucleaoprotein (hnRNP) $C_1/C_2$ is one of the most abundant proteins in cells. In this manuscript, we showed that both hnRNP $C_1$ and $C_2$ promoted exon 11 inclusion of Ron pre-mRNA and that hnRNP $C_1$ and hnRNP $C_2$ functioned independently but not cooperatively. Moreover, hnRNP $C_1$ stimulated exon 11 splicing through intron 10 activation but not through intron 11 splicing. Furthermore, we showed that, whereas the RRM domain was required for hnRNP $C_1$ function, the Asp/Glu domain was not. In conclusion, hnRNP $C_1/C_2$ promoted exon 11 splicing independently by stimulating intron 10 splicing through RRM but not through the Asp/Glu domain.

In this paper, a 4H-SiC UMOSFET was studied which is suitable for high voltage and high current applications. In general, SiO2 is a material most commonly used as a gate dielectric material in SiC MOSFETs. However, since the dielectric constant value is 2.5 times lower than 4H-SiC, it suffers a high electric field and has poor characteristics in the SiO2/SiC junction. Therefore, the static characteristics of a device with high-k material as a gate dielectric and a device with SiO2 were compared using TCAD simulation. The results show BV decreased, VTH decreased, gm increased, and Ron decreased. Especially when the temperature is 300K, the Ron of Al2O3 and HfO2 decreases by 66.29% and 69.49%. and at 600K, Ron decreases by 39.71% and 49.88%, respectively. Thus, Al2O3 and HfO2 are suitable as gate dielectric materials for high voltage SiC MOSFET.

Objectives : The metastasis among the Five Viscera are given, passim, in the Hwangjenaegyeong (黃帝內經). Generally, the metastasis among the Five Viscera followed 'mutual generation' and 'mutual overcoming' of the Five Elements. But, the metastasis among the Five Viscera on the Gi Gual Ron not followed. The metastasis are connected with the Eight Diagrams. The Eight Diagrams are classified 'Earlier Heaven' and 'Later Heaven'. It also be assigned the Five Elements. Results : The metastasis order and the principle of shift its location from 'Earlier Heaven' to 'Later Heaven' are similar. Conclusions : Therefore, the metastasis among the Five Viscera on the Gi Gual Ron is based on the law of shift its location from 'Earlier Heaven' to 'Later Heaven'.

Ridge regression is compared with multiple linear regression (MLR) for determination of Research Octane Number (RON) when the baseline and signal-to-noise ratio are varied. MLR analysis of near-infrared (NIR) spectroscopic data usually encounters a collinearity problem, which adversely affects long-term prediction performance. The collinearity problem can be eliminated or greatly improved by using ridge regression, which is a biased estimation method. To evaluate the robustness of each calibration, the calibration models developed by both calibration methods were used to predict RONs of gasoline spectra in which the baseline and signal-to-noise ratio were varied. The prediction results of a ridge calibration model showed more stable prediction performance as compared to that of MLR, especially when the spectral baselines were varied. . In conclusion, ridge regression is shown to be a viable method for calibration of RON with the NIR data when only a few wavelengths are available such as hand-carry device using a few diodes.

Pungsu theory is important one in the site selection and lay-out of traditional Korean village and house. In this aspect, Study with a view of Pungsu theory might be used as a proper method for understanding the traditional architecture in Korea. In this context, this study analyzes the Jeong, Dong-Ho's house which is designated no. 19 as an important folk cultural heritage, located in Jigok Ochu-gil 133-62, Godeok-myon, Yesan-gun, Chungnam province. The analysis of the site and space lay-out is carried out by Yong(Dragon), Hyoel(Auspicious Spot), Sa(Sands), Su(Water) aspects of the Pungsu(Fengshui) Hyungsei-ron. The house is depending upon soft dragon vein connecting with a earth type rear mountain. It looks southeast direction, Gonjwasonhyang(乾坐巽向). The hyeolseong(穴星) has classical venus shape, and there is no faults relatively. The Sasinsa condition is almost perfect that right blue dragon and left white tiger surround the hyeol with 3-4 layers and the facing mountain covers the front open area. The water flowing from inside of left and right mountain is joined in front of the house so it could stop flowing out of vital energy. Bibo forest(裨補樹) is placed properly to protect the easy disclose of water outlet. The house is well organized western house(西四宅) by analysis of Dongseosataek-ron(東西四宅論). Through the analysis, I found that the house has good Pungsu(Fengshui) environment fitted with Pungsu Hyungsei-ron. The house composed of small thatched roof is enclosed several times by low hills of back, left and right side. So it is believed that the site might be carefully evaluated by Yong, Hyoel, Sa, Su of Hyeongsei-ron for knowing whether the site condition could minimize the demage by strong winds and protect from the winter cold wind and secure water for drinking and farming and then selected. The method of Pungsu for evaluating the geographical condition of surrounding of a site is used as a traditional site analysis method for evaluating the suitability of long-term well and safe residence.

Intimate connection between the theory and clinical experience was an unique feature and future generation including Chin Su-won and Wang Tai-lim were deeply influenced. His medical theology and medical case is presented in "Eui Hak Won Ryu Ron"and "Hoi Kye Eui An".

A recombinant E. coli co-expressing ALA synthase (hemA), NADP-dependent malic enzyme (maeB), and dicarboxylic acid transporter (dctA) was reported to synthesize porphyrin derivatives including iron-containing heme. To enhance the synthesis of bacterial heme, five genes of the porphyrin biosynthetic pathway [pantothenate kinase (coaA), ALA dehydratase (hemB), 1-hydroxymethylbilane synthase (hemC), uroporphyrinogen III synthase (hemD), and uroporphyrinogen III decarboxylase (hemE)] were amplified in the recombinant E. coli co-expressing hemA-maeB-dctA. Pantothenate kinase expression enabled the recombinant E. coli to accumulate intracellular CoA. Intracellular ALA was the most enhanced by uroporphyrinogen III synthase expression, porphobilinogen was the most enhanced by ALA dehydratase expression, uroporphyrin and coproporphyrin were the most enhanced by 1-hydroxymethylbilane synthase expression. The strain co-expressing coaA, hemA, maeB, and dctA produced heme of $0.49{\mu}mol/g$-DCW, which was twice as much from the strain without coaA expression. Further pathway gene amplifications for the porphyrin derivatives are discussed based on the results.

This study is about the origin of Toigye's SaDanChilJeongRiGiHoBalRon (四端七情理氣互發論: theory of humanity and the relation between humanity and heaven's principle). In this study, I looked into the influences of Toigye's elders on such theory of Toigye. In this process, I introduced SimHakJangGuJipJuDaeJeon (心學章句集註大全) I obtained recently as a main material. This book was written by an uncelebrated scholar born in 60 years before Toigye. It showed "SaDanRiBalYiGiSuJi ChilJeongGiBalRiSeungJi (四端理發而氣隨之 七情氣發而理乘之)", which was as same as Toigye's study logic. Regarding the fact that such two logics were same, I traced the transferring path of such logic weighing the possibility of transferring such book or HoBalRon shown in such book while not completely neglecting an accidental coincidence. I also induced that the pro-Toigye-era also had the academic circumstance under which RiGiHoBalRon could be born even supposing an accidental coincidence. In addition, I also emphasized that such book was positioned to pioneer Toigye's neo-Confucianism in various aspects.
