학교공동체 구성원의 역할 탐색을 위한 조사연구 (A Survey Study on the Roles of School Community Members)

  • Each roles of school community members as principals, assistant principals, head teachers, teachers, parents of pupils, and persons of regional society by questionnaire method. The opinions of 805 subjects of school members in Pusan city by stratified random sampling are analyzed. The results of analysis are as follows : The major roles of principals in school community are considered as (1) converging various schools members' opinions and reflecting them to school management (2) setting manifest educational goals of school and projecting visions of school development in the future (3) managing efficient, rational school. The major roles of assistant principals in school community are defined as (1) mediating and co-ordinating relation between principal and teachers (2) combing and harmonizing school members (3) dividing and co-ordinating school members' roles. The major roles of head teachers are defined as (1) driving departmental services and acting teaches' professional competency (2) mediating relation between school managers and teachers (3) converging teachers' opinions, delivering and reflecting them to the school managers. The major roles of teachers are defined as (1) supporting pupils' growth (2) completing teaching-learning activities (3) devoting pupul discipline. The major roles of pupils in school community are (1) believing schooling and teachers (2) self-initiative, positive learning activities (3) comprehending, caring, co-operating others. major roles of parents of pupils in school community are (1) believing schooling and teachers (2) The participating schooling (3) supporting schooling. The major roles of persons of regional community in school community are defined as (1) concerning and believing schooling (2) supporting and co-operating schooling (3) comprehending and loving schooling.

초등학교 보건교사의 역할에 대한 DACUM 직무분석 (DACUM Job Analysis on Elementary Health Teachers' Roles)

  • Purpose: The aim of this study was to identify the roles, duties and tasks of elementary health teachers. Required knowledge, skills, and worker behaviors were also examined. Methods: Elementary health teachers' jobs were analyzed by DACUM workshop. First, the health teachers' roles and related jobs were described, and then the jobs were divided into duties and subordinate tasks. The identified roles, duties and tasks were reviewed and refined, and then were organized in a DACUM chart. DACUM committee members discussed not only general knowledge, skills and work behaviors but also future trends and concerns. Results: The DACUM chart for elementary health teachers consisted of 8 duties and 52 tasks. Required knowledge, skills and worker behaviors were also listed. Conclusion: Elementary health teachers play roles as health manager, health care provider, and teacher in school. Their roles, duties and tasks are being changed. Thus, their jobs need to be redefined legally, politically, and institutionally.

한국 교사들의 성역할인지, 성교육요구 및 성교육 의식정도에 관한 조사연구 (The Study of the Recognition of Sexual Roles, the Demand of Sexual Education and the Consciousness of Sexual Education in the Korean teachers)

  • The study was attempted and executed to reach the following conclusions. The period was May 1st through June 15th, 1998 and the subjects were 302 teachers consisting of School Nurses and general teachers in Pusan city. 1) The degrees of recognition of sexual roles by the subjects were compared as follows : The average point as to the recognition of sexual roles in the occupational functions by the school nurses was 2.41, higher than that of the general teachers. The average points as to the recognition of sexual roles in the attitudes by the school nurses was 2.28, higher than that of the general teachers. The average points as to the recognition of sexual roles in the abilitis was 2.26, higher than that of the general teachers. These ascertain that school nurses recognize the man has higher superities in the occupational functions, the attitudes and the abilities than the woman. 2) The degrees of demand of sexual education by the subjects were compared as follows : As to the degrees of demand of sexual education, the school nurses showed higher demand than the general teachers in the concepts such as 'the society and sexualities, physiology and actual education'. 3) The levels of the consciousness of sexual education by the subjects were compared as follows : the general teachers showed the more strict attitudes than the school nurses against the lascivious sex objects and wanted the punishment against the related students and the general teachers have myth. They claimed that their family have no relation with the sexual violence or pornography. As to the masturbation, the general teachers showed the more conservative attitudes. 4) The opinions by the subjects as to the well-qualified person in charge of sexual education in school were compared as follows : 77.3% of the school nurses, and 36.1% of the general teachers supported the school nurses.

유아의 자유놀이시간과 교사의 역할에 대한 예비유아교사들의 인식: 포토보이스를 중심으로 (Pre-Service Early Childhood Teachers' Perceptions of Young Children's Free Play Time and the Roles of Teachers : Focusing on Photovoice)

  • Objective: This study aimed to investigate Pre-service early childhood teachers' perceptions and roles regarding young children's free play time. Methods: The study utilized the photovoice method and involved 21 pre-service early childhood teachers who expressed interest in participating. Participants were enrolled in an infants teaching methodology class in B city. The study involved four virtual meetings conducted via untact teams, and the automatic recordings of these meetings were transcribed for analysis. Results: The results revealed that pre-service early childhood teachers recognized young children's free play time as a period to enjoy full freedom, develop as the main agent of their lives, and express their imagination. Furthermore, pre-service early childhood teachers perceived their roles during young children's free play time as a specialist infant observer, a connector between play and learning, and a versatile supporter. Conclusion/Implications: The findings suggest the need for a systematic curriculum to provide pre-service early childhood teachers with a balanced perspective and awareness of the meaning of free play and teacher roles. The study highlights the importance of expanding pre-practice courses for observation of play and field-oriented curriculum for incumbent teachers.

남ㆍ여 대학생의 두발, 신발, 장신구의 고정관념에 대한 연구 -선생님과 학생역할을 중심으로- (A Study on the Stereotype of Hair Style, Shoes and Ornaments Manifested by University Student)

  • This study examines how the stereotype in a society toward the roles of teachers and students affects their hair styles and ornaments and defines it through the cultural tag, 'like'. A survey of 362 male and female students in colleges located in Seoul and Gyeonggi areas was conducted. The data analysis was done by SPSS 10.0 and the difference of sample means between the groups in addition to basic statistics was evaluated. The t-test was made to test statistically significant difference between the groups. The results of the analysis are summarized as follows: First, the hair styles, shoes and ornaments that are recognized as appropriate for the roles of male students are short cut and black hair, sneakers and necktie. In that case of female students, medium and long hair style, black and brown hair, Loafer, hairpin and hairband are recognized properly. The hair styles, shoes and ornaments that are recognized as appropriate for the roles of male teachers are short cut and black hair, oxfords and necktie. In that case of female teachers, cut, medium, long, permanent and up style, 1)lack and brown hair, pumps, necklace, ring, earring, bracelet, hairpin, hairband, scarf and muffler are recognized appropriately. Second, the stereotype of male students and teachers's roles was more traditional, normative, and limited than that of female students and teachers's. The role of female teachers showed more generous than that of male students, female students, and male teachers.

  • This paper aims to explore whether Learning Study improves teachers' subject content knowledge, pedagogical content knowledge, and attitude toward teaching mathematics. A Learning Study was conducted in a Hong Kong primary school for a research lesson on comparing the size of fractions to explore the new teacher roles.

  • The purpose of this study were to investigate and no investigate and to compare perceptions of home economics teachers and educators regarding home economics student teaching pratice, thereby to provide fundamental information for improving home economics student teaching pratice. The specific objectives of this study were at follows. 1. To determine and compare the perceptions of home economics teachers and teacher educators regarding the importance and achievement of (1) the objectives of student teaching, (2) the experiences of student teaching, (3) procedures for selecting cooperating teachers, (4) roles and responsibilities of cooperating teachers, and (5) roles and responsibilities of university supervisors. 2. To identify problems and revisions about home economics student teaching pratice suggested by home economics teachers and teacher educators. The subjects in this study included 90 home economics teachers in 500 girls’middle schools and 13 teacher educators in 21 universities with home economics education department in Korea. For this study, the Habedi’s instruments were used through testing validity and reliability. The data of this study were analyzed by using mean, standard deviation, t-test, and content analysis. The results of this study were as follow;1. The areas with the difference of perceptions of the importance between the two groups were objectives of student teaching, experiences of student teaching, procedures for selecting cooperating teachers, and roles and responsibilities of cooperating teachers. 2. Regarding problems about home economics students teaching practice, home economics teachers indicated difficulty in performing adequate student teaching because of reduction in class hours, and lack of student teachers’positive attitude in performing student teaching, while teacher educators indicated having reluctancy of cooperating school to admit student teachers, and difference in experiences of student teachers because of disparity among cooperating schools. As solutions about the problems of home economics student teaching practice, home economics teachers suggested that student teaching course should be limited to the students qualified for teaching and that class observation and teaching practice in real class should be emphasized, while teacher educators suggested that student teaching should be performed adequately by providing institutions to control student teaching practice teacher should be made efficient by examining the scales of cooperating schools.

「발달에 적합한 실제」에 대한 유아교사의 신념과 창의적 역할과의 관계에 관한 연구 (The Relationship Between Teacher's Beliefs Regarding Developmentally Appropriate Practice and Their Creative Roles)

  • This study explored the feasibility of various applications of Developmentally Appropriate Practice (DAP) by examining the relationship between teachers' belief in DAP and their creative roles. Subjects were 203 teachers of public, private, national, and corporate day care centers in Pusan. Data analysis was by ANOVA. Results showed that with the exception of fluency, teacher's degree of belief in DAP correlated with differences in all the sub-categories of creative roles, including indulgence and perseverance, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. Conclusions were that teachers could enhance their creative roles through inclusion of DAP in teacher education.

초등학교 보건교사의 자기 역할 인식 (Self Role Perception of Health Teachers in Elementary Schools)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to describe and understand elementary school health teachers' role perception in their own perspectives. Methods: Data were collected from three focus groups composed of five participants for each group. Each focus group had an interview for two and a half hours on the average. The main question was "What is your perception on the roles of health teachers in elementary schools?" Qualitative data from transcribed notes and field notes were analyzed using qualitative content analysis. Results: Five main roles were identified from the participants. The participants perceived themselves as 'an expert of health education in school and community', 'a health service provider for school members', 'a health guardian for school members, the coordinator of healthcare related works in school, and the leader of school health. Conclusion: The participants have multiple role identities, which are very important for health management of school members. And the roles such as an expert of health education and a leader for school health are recently emphasized. The findings of this study can provide useful information to design orientation programs for newly appointed health teachers and continuing education programs for enhancing role performance of health teachers in elementary schools.

보육교사의 직무스트레스, 직무환경이 역할수행에 미치는 영향 : 자아탄력성의 조절효과 (The Effects of Child Care Teachers' Job Stress and Work Environment on their Performance of Roles: Focusing on the Regulating Effects of Ego Resilience)

  • 본 연구는 서울과 인천지역의 보육교사를 대상으로 보육교사의 직무스트레스, 직무환경이 역할수행에 미치는 영향에서 자아탄력성의 조절효과를 살펴보고자 하였다. PASW 20.0 통계프로그램을 사용하여 빈도, 백분율, 신뢰도 분석을 실시하였고, 연구문제별로 상관관계분석, 중다회귀분석과 단계적 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 살펴보면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 보육교사가 지각하고 있는 직무스트레스와 역할수행과는 부적 상관관계, 직무환경, 자아탄력성과 역할수행과는 정적 상관관계가 나타났다. 둘째, 보육교사가 지각한 직무스트레스에는 부적영향을 미치는 요인으로 나타났다. 셋째, 보육교사가 지각한 직무환경인 원장과의 관계, 동료교사와의 관계, 복지환경, 교사전문성 지원, 운영 및 의사결정의 요인이 역할수행에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 보육교사가 지각한 직무환경이 역할수행에 미치는 영향에서 자아탄력성의 조절효과가 나타났으며, 직무스트레스가 역할수행에 미치는 영향에서도 자아탄력성의 조절효과가 나타났다. 이러한 결과에 따라 보육교사의 역할수행능력을 증진시키기 위해서는 보육교사 대상 프로그램이나 승급 교육시 직무스트레스는 낮출 수 있는 프로그램이 반드시 개입되어야 할 것이라 본다. 또한 보육교사의 복지나 처우, 보육환경 등의 직무환경에 대한 개선이 지속적이며, 가시적으로 이루어져야 할 것이라 본다. 나아가 보육교사를 대상으로 하는 개입시 스트레스를 극복하고 적응력을 증진시킬 수 있는 자아탄력성 향상 프로그램이 반드시 제공되어야 할 것이다.
