CFD code를 이용한 철도터널 화재 위험도 평가 (The Quantitative Risk Assessment for Railroad-tunnel Fire Incidents by using CFD code)

  • Recently, railroad long tunnels are increasing and growing longer due to topological feathers like a lot of mountain in Korea. But fire disaster of a long tunnel cause many people to injury and death. For that reason, at the early design stage of a long tunnel, risk assessment and mitigation measure of risk for satisfying tunnel safety are required. According to the railroad facility safety standard (Korean MLTM Announcement No. 2006-395), risk assessment for railroad-tunnel fire should be performed when design stage. Therefore, various methods of risk assessment for tunnel fire have been studied and applied. In the paper, QRA(Quantitative Risk Analysis) for fire risk assessment by using CFD code is presented and the usefulness of CFD is discussed.

결정론적 및 확률론적 방법을 이용한 방사성폐기물 운반 위험도 평가 비교·분석 (Comparison of Radioactive Waste Transportation Risk Assessment Using Deterministic and Probabilistic Methods)

  • When assessing the risk of radioactive wastes transportation on land, computer codes such as RADTRAN and RISKIND are used as deterministic methods. Transportation risk assessment using the deterministic method requires a relatively short assessment time. On the other hand, transportation risk assessment using the probabilistic method requires a relatively long assessment time, but produces more reliable results. Therefore, a study is needed to evaluate the exposure dose using a deterministic method that can be evaluated relatively quickly, and to compare and analyze the exposure dose result using a probabilistic method. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the exposure dose during transportation of radioactive wastes using deterministic and probabilistic methods, and to compare and analyze them. For this purpose, the main exposure factors were selected and various exposure situations were set. The distance between the radioactive waste and the receptor, the size of the package, and the speed of vehicle were selected as the main exposure factors. The exposure situation was largely divided into when the radioactive wastes were stationary and when they were passing. And the dose (rate) model of the deterministic overland transportation risk assessment computer code was analyzed. Finally, the deterministic method of the RADTRAN computer code and the RISKIND computer code and the probabilistic method of the MCNP 6 computer code were used to evaluate the exposure dose in various exposure situations during transportation of radioactive wastes. Then we compared and analyzed them. As a result of the evaluation, the tendency of the exposure dose (rate) was similar when the radioactive wastes were stationary and passing. For the same situation, the evaluation results of the RADTRAN computer code were generally more conservative than the results of the RISKIND computer code and the MCNP 6 computer code. The evaluation results of the RISKIND computer code and the MCNP 6 computer code were relatively similar. The results of this study are expected to be used as basic data for establishing the radioactive wastes transportation risk assessment system in Korea in the future.

  • ISM Code 1.2.2.2항 개정안 발효됨에 따라 선박에서 실질적으로 위험성평가 (Risk Assessment) 시행을 요구하고 있다. 하지만 해운업계 및 선원들은 관련 지식 및 경험 부족으로 시행에 여러움을 겪고 있다. 이 연구에서는 선상에서 효과적인 이행을 위해 표준 위험성평가 지침을 개발하였다.

  • As one of promising solutions to overcome high oil price and energy crisis, the construction market of high value-added LNG plants is spotlighted world widely. The purpose of this study is to introduce LNG-RBI system to develop risk assessment technology with RAM(Reliability, Availability, Maintainability) modules against overseas monopolization. After analyzing relevant specific features and their technical levels, risk assessment program, non-destructive reliability evaluation strategy and safety criteria unification class are derived as core technologies. These IT-based convergence technologies can be used for enhancement of LNG plant efficiency, in which the modular parts are related to a system with artificial optimized algorithms as well as diverse databases of facility inspection and diagnosis fields.

김포국제공항 B747-8 수용성에 관한 연구 (A Study on B747-8 Compatibility at Gimpo International Airport)

  • Gimpo International Airport is only available for alternate airport for code F aircraft and it is difficult to operate larger aircraft capable of transporting more passengers than B747-400. This study has conducted to review the compatibility based on risk assessment to introduce the B747-8 operation procedures, excluding the A380 for practical reasons. Risk factors for main gear deviation when driving on curved sections of the taxiway was identified. The risk was analyzed as "high" level. As a risk reduction measure, the proceduralization of specific taxiing method "judgemental oversteer" was reviewed, and the result of the risk re-evaluation was lowered to a "low" level. As a result, the B747-8 was analyzed to be compatible. Additionally, It is suggested that review of pavement strength, de/anti-icing facilities, and passenger boarding bridge is necessary for actual operations.

  • 국제해사기구(IMO)는 2017년 해상 사이버 위험관리 지침(Guidelines on maritime cyber risk management)을 발표했다. IMO의 해상 사이버 위험관리 지침에 따라 각 기국은 2021년 1월 1일 이후 도래하는 첫 번째 연차심사 전까지 안전관리규약(ISM, International Safety Management Code)의 선박안전관리시스템(SMS, Safety Management System)에서 사이버 리스크에 관한 사항을 통합·관리 하여야 한다. 본 논문에서는 해상분야의 사이버 보안 관리대상 및 위험요소를 식별하고 취약성 분석을 수행하기 위하여 IMO가 제시한 산업계 지침 및 국제표준을 근거로 해상분야의 사이버 보안 취약분야를 관리적·기술적·물리적 보안의 세 가지 영역으로 구분하였다. 또한, 리스크 매트릭스(Risk Matrix)를 사용하여 보안영역별 위험요소에 따른 정성적 리스크 평가(RA, Risk Assessment)를 수행하였다.

윕기반 철도 위험도평가 사고분석 프로그램 개발에 관한 연구 (Development of a Web Based Railway Accident Analysis Program for Risk Assessment)

  • Risk assessment of a railway system should be periodically conducted managing a large amount of accumulating accident/incident data and scenarios, which generally requires enormous time and efforts. Therefore, special information management system is essential for railway risk assessment, where data needed for decisions on managing the railway safety could be promptly supported. The objective of this study is to develop a railway accident analysis program for risk assessment. The program is application running on the web which links railway accident analysts throughout the railway industry to a central database. Data entered, together with associated code tables. is stored on MS-SQL database. The program uses the concepts of accident, safety events, causes, related factors(vehicle, person, infrastructure, tool/equipment), recommendations to bring together the various elements of railway accidents. The program will be useful in finding hazard conditions, accident scenarios, quantitatively assessing the risk, and providing pertinent risk measures, eventually serving to prevent railway accidents and reduce severities of railway accidents.

국내 주요 가공식품에 대한 위해순위 결정 (Determining of Risk Ranking for Processed Foods in Korea)

  • 우리나라 식품공전상에 수록된 식품군 및 식품유형에 대한 위해순위(risk ranking) 결정은 식품안전관련 위생관리 우선순위 적용 등에 있어 중요한 수단으로 작용할 수 있다. 하지만 세계적인 관심의 증대에도 불구하고 아직까지 국내에서는 체계적으로 수행된 적이 없었다. 본 연구는 식품공전에 포함되어 있는 101개의 식품유형에 대하여 상대적인 위해 순위를 결정하였다. 상대위해도는 노출평가, 심각성평가 및 섭취량 추정부분으로 구성된 위해평가모델을 이용하였다. 추정결과, 즉석섭취식품(RTE)이 가장 높은 위해수준을 나타내었고, 다음이 어육가공품, 빵류 등의 순으로 나타났다. 이러한 식품공전상의 식품유형에 대한 과학적인 위해순위 결과는 식품안전에 있어 가장 많은 영향을 미치는 식품과 이들 식품에 대한 관리목표를 설정하는데 크게 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

A reliability-based fragility assessment method for seismic pounding between nonlinear buildings

  • Existing methods to estimate the probability of seismic pounding occurrence of adjacent buildings do not account for nonlinear behavior or only apply to simple lumped mass systems. The present study proposes an efficient method based on subset simulation for fragility and risk assessment of seismic pounding occurrence between nonlinear adjacent buildings neglecting pounding effects with application to finite element models. The proposed method is first applied to adjacent buildings modeled as elastoplastic systems with substantially different dynamic properties for different structural parameters. Seismic pounding fragility and risk of adjacent frame structures with different floor levels is then assessed, paying special attention to modeling the non-linear material behavior in finite element models. Difference in natural periods and impact location are identified to affect the pounding fragility simultaneously. The reliability levels of the minimum code-specified separation distances are also determined. In addition, the incremental dynamic analysis method is extended to assess seismic pounding fragility of the adjacent frame structures, resulting in higher fragility estimates for separation distances larger than the minimum code-specified ones in comparison with the proposed method.

신뢰도평가 기반 도시가스배관 종합관리시스템 구축 연구 (A study on the City-gas Pipeline Management System by Reliability Based Design and Assessment)

  • 도시가스배관에 대한 효율적인 안전관리를 위해서 33개 도시가스사로부터 입력된 데이터를 체계적으로 관리하고 분석함으로써, 가스안전관리 관련 대내 외적 업무를 효과적으로 수행하기 위하여 도시가스배관 종합관리시스템을 구축하였다. 시스템에 업로드된 배관정보 데이터는 KGS Code에 명시된 기준에 의해서 위험지수로 표현되고, 이를 통하여 진단우선순위가 도출됨으로써 배관 안전관리가 수행되고 있다. 하지만 위험지수를 선정하는 배점방식이 매우 단순하고 관련 근거도 부족할 뿐만 아니라, 다수의 중복 순위로 인해 진단대상 선정에 대한 신뢰성이 높지 않다. 이에 신뢰도 기반 설계 및 평가법을 기반으로 한 프로그램을 개발하여 합리적으로 위험도 및 위험순위를 도출하였다.
