멀티 성형 가공법을 활용한 전극용 소형 링 성형 (Small Electrode Ring Forming by Multi-Forming Process)

  • Recently, LCD Backlight Unit is being replaced from cold cathode fluorescent lamp(CCFL) to external electrode fluorescent lamp(EEFL) because the EEFL has high energy efficiency and long life. Also, it can reduce energy consumption and weight. So far, external electrode ring for EEFL is produced by sheet metal press forming process. Therefore it had low precision and much material loss. To solve these problems, Multi-Forming process that has five step forming process was invented. However, low productivity is another barrier. Product speed that is controlled by the rotational speed cannot be increased due to the unsatisfied design specification. The reason is that the gap between rolled two edge parts of the sheet plate is tightly inspected. Regarding this factor, the understanding of forming behavior to each process is inevitable. This paper describes the CAE analysis of the multi-forming process by PAM-STAMP.

와전류의 영향을 고려한 솔레노이드 액츄에이터의 동작특성 해석 (Analysis of Operational Characteristic for Solenoid Actuator Considering Eddy Current Effects)

  • Solenoid actuator's operating speed is affected by magnetic motive force, plunger mass, inductance, return spring constant, and eddy current. Recently, non-magnetic ring is generally used for improving the operational speed, because it is impossible that changing of any specified design factor and stacking of plunger steel. This paper represents the dynamic equations of solenoid actuator, simulations for the response characteristics, analysis of eddy current effect by using the induced time constant. And, we experiment for the operating characteristics in case of non-magnetic ring is exists and not exists in the plunger.

  • The vacuum gauge control system has been designed and implemented using multi-serial communication controllers (MSCC) for the 2.5 Gev storage ring at the Pohang Accelerator Laboratory (PAL). There are 20 Balzers vacuum gauges and 17 Granville-Phillips vacuum gauges at the storage ring. A MSCC have two RS485 (max speed 460.8Kbps) field network port, 8 channel serial communication ports (max speed 460.8Kbps) connected to gauge controller for serial communication control. 12 MSCCs are connected to a personal computer (PC) through the RS485 field network. The PC can automatically control the MSCCs by sending set of commands through the network. The commands specify the duration of the MODBUS protocol. Upon receiving a command from a PC running under Windows2000 through the network, the MSCC communicate through the serial output ports to gauge controller. In this paper, we describe control structure and scheme of the vacuum gauge control system.

링 구조 다중프로세서 시스템에서 링 대역폭 확장을 위한 효율적인 방안 (Efficient Schemes for Scaling Ring Bandwidth in Ring-based Multiprocessor System)

  • 최근 몇 년간 클리스터링 기반 다중 프로세서 시스템에서의 상호 연결망으로서의 버스의 제약을 극복하기 위한 단방향 지점간 링크를 이용한 링 구조가 제안되었다. 하지만 계속되는 프로세서의 고속화와 지역 버스 및 메모리의 고성능화로 인해 지점간 링크의 현재 표준 대역폭으로는 시스템 확장성에 한계를 보이며 이에 따라 대역폭 확장에 대한 연구가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 클리스터링 기반 다중프로세서 시스템으로 개발된 PANDA 시스템을 기본 모델로 채택한다. 최근 대중화된 프로세서 및 지역 버스의 사양을 반영한 모의실험을 통해 현재의 지점간 링크가 전체 시스템 성능에 병목이 됨을 보여주고 두 배 이상의 대역폭 확장이 필요함을 보인다. 상호 연결망의 대역폭을 확장하기 위해, 두 배 증가된 대역폭을 지닌 새로운 링크를 개발하는 것은 과다한 설계비용과 개발시간이 요구된다. 이에 대한 대안으로 본 논문에서는 상용화되어있어 쉽게 적용 가능한 기존 IEEE 표준 대역폭을 가진 링크를 이용해 이중으로 링을 구성하는 몇 가지 방법 단순 이중 링, 트랜잭션 분리 이중 링, 방향 분리 이중 링 - 을 제시하고 모의실험을 통해 두 배 대역폭 단일 링과 더불어 각각의 방식에 대한 장단점을 분석한다.

On the Contact Behavior Analysis and New Design of High Pressure Piston Seals

  • In this paper, the geometry effectiveness and contact modes as functions of real contact length on a cap ring have been analyzed for high pressure sealing mechanism in reciprocating actuator. The reaction force and elastic strain energy density are very important parameters for analyzing the sealing performance of an ACGT ring seal. For the high pressure of 800bar and the maximum speed of 3m/s, the main piston is reciprocating along the linear line against the cylinder wall. The computed results indicate that the length ratio of a cap ring is more influential design parameter compared to that of the tribological contact mode. Thus, this paper recommends the discrete contact area rather than a conventional flat contact model. Especially, the sealing capacity is more improved when the length ratio of a cap ring is below 0.625.

A New Type of CPPM Machine with Stator Axial Magnetic Ring

  • This paper proposes a new type of consequent-pole permanent-magnet (CPPM) machine with stator axial magnetic ring that increases torque capability over a wide speed range and enhances efficiency for the built-in rare-earth permanent magnet synchronous machine used in new energy vehicles. The excitation winding of the CPPM hybrid excitation synchronous machine in the stator is replaced by ferrite magnetic ring to simplify the structure and manufacturing process of the machine. The basic structure and magnetic regulation principle of the proposed machine are introduced and compared with the traditional interior rare-earth permanent magnet synchronous machine and CPPM hybrid excitation synchronous machine. Finally, experimental results of a new type of CPPM synchronous motor prototype with axial magnetic ring are introduced in the paper.

Monitoring and control of multiple fraction laws with ring based composite structure

  • In present article, utilizing the Love shell theory with volume fraction laws for the cylindrical shells vibrations provides a governing equation for the distribution of material composition of material. Isotopic materials are the constituents of these rings. The position of a ring support has been taken along the radial direction. The Rayleigh-Ritz method with three different fraction laws gives birth to the shell frequency equation. Moreover, the effect of height- and length-to-radius ratio and angular speed is investigated. The results are depicted for circumferential wave number, length- and height-radius ratios with three laws. It is found that the backward and forward frequencies of exponential fraction law are sandwich between polynomial and trigonometric laws. It is examined that the backward and forward frequencies increase and decrease on increasing the ratio of height- and length-to-radius ratio. As the position of ring is enhanced for clamped simply supported and simply supported-simply supported boundary conditions, the frequencies go up. At mid-point, all the frequencies are higher and after that the frequencies decreases. The frequencies are same at initial and final stage and rust itself a bell shape. The shell is stabilized by ring supports to increase the stiffness and strength. Comparison is made for non-rotating and rotating cylindrical shell for the efficiency of the model. The results generated by computer software MATLAB.

속력을 고려한 선박충돌회피지원 프로그램 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the development of Ship Collision Avoidance Support Program considered Speed)

  • 본 논문에서는 선박충돌사고의 주요한 원인이 되는 인적운항과실의 감소 및 효과적인 선박충돌회피를 지원하기 위해 새로이 제안된 '속력을 고려한 선박충돌회피지원 모델'을 기반으로 한 선박충돌회피지원 프로그램 개발에 관하여 연구하였다. 이 프로그램은 선행 연구에서 고려되지 않은 상대선박의 속력이 고려되었으며, 자선의 선회특성을 이용하여 상대선박의 침로, 속도에 대한 충돌회피 가능영역과 방법을 표시함으로써, 근접상황에서도 효과적인 충돌회피 조종을 지원할 것이다.

WLAN을 위한 고속 링 발진기를 이용한 5.8 GHz PLL (5.8 GHz PLL using High-Speed Ring Oscillator for WLAN)

  • 본 논문에서는 고속 링 발진기를 이용한 WLAN용 5.8 GHz PLL을 제안하였다. 제안한 PLL에 사용된 링 발진기는 부 스큐 지연방식을 이용하여 차동 구조로 설계되었다. 따라서 Power-Supply-Injected Noise에 둔감하며, 1/f Noise를 감소시키기 위하여 Tail Current Source를 사용하지 않았다. 제안한 링 발진기는 $0{\sim}1.8V$의 컨트롤 전압에 걸쳐 $5.13{\sim}7.04GHz$의 발진주파수를 보였다. 본 논문에서 제안한 PLL 회로는 0.18 um 1.8 V TSMC CMOS 라이브러리를 기본으로 하여 설계하였고 시뮬레이션을 통하여 성능을 검증하였다. 동작 주파수는 5.8 GHz이며, Locking Time은 2.5 us, 5.8 GHz에서의 소비 전력은 59.9mW로 측정되었다.
