  • The rapid growth of data has successfully promoted the development of modern information and communication technologies, which are used to process data generated by public urban departments and citizens in modern cities. In specific application areas where the ciphertext of messages generated by different users' needs to be transmitted, the concept of broadcast encryption is important. It can not only improve the transmission efficiency but also reduce the cost. However, the existing schemes cannot entirely ensure the privacy of receivers and dynamically adjust the user authorization. To mitigate these deficiencies, we propose an efficient, secure identity-based broadcast encryption scheme that achieves direct revocation and receiver anonymity, along with the analysis of smart grid solutions. Moreover, we constructed a security model to ensure wireless data transmission under cloud computing and internet of things integrated devices. The achieved results reveal that the proposed scheme is semantically secure in the random oracle model. The performance of the proposed scheme is evaluated through theoretical analysis and numerical experiments.

  • According to the privacy regulations of the health insurance portability and accountability act (HIPAA), patients' control over electronic health data is one of the major concern issues. Currently, remote access authorization is considered as the best solution to guarantee the patients' control over their health data. In this paper, a new biometric-based key management scheme is proposed to facilitate remote access authorization anytime and anywhere. First, patients and doctors can use their biometric information to verify the authenticity of communication partners through real-time video communication technology. Second, a safety channel is provided in delivering their access authorization and secret data between patient and doctor. In the designed scheme, the user's public key is authenticated by the corresponding biometric information without the help of public key infrastructure (PKI). Therefore, our proposed scheme does not have the costs of certificate storage, certificate delivery, and certificate revocation. In addition, the implementation time of our proposed system can be significantly reduced.

  • The important factor in Public-Key Infrastructure is the authentication to correspondent. We receive the digital certificate for authentication between each other, and then we check the existence of validity on the certificate by Certification Revocation List(CRL). But, To use CRL is the scheme used in offline status. So, it is impossible to refer to the latest information and the CRL scheme which is used after downloading is variously unsuitable to getting bigger of the CRL size as time goes on. Therefore, we prefer OCSP(Online Certificate Status Protocol) used in online to CRL used in offline. Consequently, we propose the scheme which provides the request of fast verification in case of requesting the verification on the certificate by owning the same update information to Certificate Registry and distributed OCSP.

  • The signature-then-encryption based on RSA scheme provides forward secrecy, but requires 4 modulo exponentiation operations in total, and the signcryption scheme proposed by Zheng simultaneously fulfills both the functions of digital signature and symmetric key encryption in a logically single step, and with a computational cost significantly smaller than that required by the current standard signature-then-encryption, but it can not provide forward secrecy. In this paper, we propose an enhanced signcryption scheme which can provide forward secrecy with lower computational cost and lower communication overhead comparing with those of the signature-then-encryption based on RSA, and with a similar communication overhead of Zheng's scheme. The proposed scheme can be also easily modified to the direct signature verification scheme by the recipient without using the recipient's private key. Additionally, we suggest a new design protocol with server-supported signatures which solves the CRLs(Certificate Revocation Lists) burden and provides non-repudiation of origin. This protocol with server-supported signatures also can be applied to the original signcryption scheme proposed by Zheng in order to improve security.

  • For many mission-critical related wireless sensor network applications such as military and homeland security, user's access restriction is necessary to be enforced by access control mechanisms for different access rights. Public key-based access control schemes are more attractive than symmetric-key based approaches due to high scalability, low memory requirement, easy key-addition/revocation for a new node, and no key predistribution requirement. Although Wang et al. recently introduced a promising access control scheme based on elliptic curve cryptography (ECC), it is still burdensome for sensors and has several security limitations (it does not provide mutual authentication and is strictly vulnerable to denial-of-service (DoS) attacks). This paper presents an energy-efficient access control scheme based on ECC to overcome these problems and more importantly to provide dominant energy-efficiency. Through analysis and simulation based evaluations, we show that the proposed scheme overcomes the security problems and has far better energy-efficiency compared to current scheme proposed byWang et al.

  • Although many revocable group signature schemes has been proposed in vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs), the existing schemes suffer from long computation delay on revocation that they cannot adapt to the dynamic VANETs. Based on Chinese remainder theorem and Schnorr signature algorithm, this paper proposes an efficient revocable group signature scheme in VANETs. In the proposed scheme, it only need to update the corresponding group public key when a member quits the group, and in the meanwhile the key pairs of unchanged group members are not influenced. Furthermore, this scheme can achieve privacy protection by making use of blind certificates. Before joining to the VANETs, users register at local trusted agencies (LTAs) with their ID cards to obtain blind certificates. The blind certificate will be submitted to road-side units (RSUs) to verify the legality of users. Thus, the real identities of users can be protected. In addition, if there is a dispute, users can combine to submit open applications to RSUs against a disputed member. And LTAs can determine the real identity of the disputed member. Moreover, since the key pairs employed by a user are different in different groups, attackers are not able to track the movement of users with the obtained public keys in a group. Furthermore, performance analysis shows that proposed scheme has less computation cost than existing schemes.

  • A social network service(SNS) is gaining popularity as a new real-time information sharing mechanism. However, the user's privacy infringement is occurred frequently because the information that is shared through a social network include the private information such as user's identity or lifestyle patterns. To resolve this problem, the research about privacy preserving data sharing in social network are being proceed actively. In this paper, we proposed the efficient scheme for privacy preserving data sharing in social network. The proposed scheme provides an efficient conjunctive keyword search functionality. And, users who granted access right to storage server can store and search data in storage server. Also,, our scheme provide join/revocation functionality suited to the characteristics of a dynamic social network.

  • In this paper, we propose an efficient authentication protocol based on certificateless signature scheme, which does not need anyinfrastructure to deal with certification of public keys, among the vehicles in Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks. Moreover, due to the characteristicsof VANET nodes (i.e., vehicles) that is fast and movement, the proposed protocol introduces the concept of interval signing key to overcome efficiently the problem of certificate revocation in traditional Public Key Infrastructure(PKI).

  • PKI(Public key Infrastructure)기반에서 CA(Certificate Authority)는 사용자를 인증하기 위해서 인증서를 생성하고, 인증서의 상태를 검증하기위해서 CRL(Certificate Revocation List)를 발행하여 인증서 취소 상태를 확인하도록 한다.
