Strength Properties of Prepacked Polymer Mortar Using MMA-Based Binders (MMA를 이용한 프리팩트 폴리머 모르터의 강도특성)

  • Prepacked polymer mortar that is mainly composed of MMA monomer and used for the patching and restoring materials of concrete structures was developed, and its hardening and strength properties were experimentally surveyed. Results of study show that the permeance of binder into the aggregate was excellent for the case of PMMA mixing ratio of below 10%, the surface hardening inferiority was not generated for the case of the ratio of over 5%. Working time of the prepacked polymer mortar and hardening shrinkage tended to decrease as the PMMA mixing ratio increased. On the other hand, the ratio turned out not to decisively affect on compressive and flexural strengths. Regardless of PMMA mixing content, the adhesive strength was about 2.5 MPa. Occurring the desquamation on the substrate of cement concrete showed the adhesive strength of MMA prepact polymer mortar was excellent.

  • 백과사전에서 정답을 찾기 위해 문장의 구조를 분석하는데 한국어 백과사전은 표제어에 대한 정보를 문장에서 생략한다. 그러나 표제어는 문장에서 주어나 목적어 역할을 하기 때문에 생략된 정보를 복원하지 못 하면 질의에 대한 정답을 제시할 수 없다. 생략된 표제어에 대한 정보를 복원하기 위해서 본 연구에서는 표제어의 의미범주 정보, 격틀, Maximum Entropy 모델을 이용하여 표제어 주어, 표제어 목적어 복원, 미복원 3가지로 인식한다. 표제어 의미범주는 의미 범주에 대해 일정 수준의 복원 성향을 보일 경우 Maximum Entropy 정보를 창조하였고 격틀을 이용하여 복원 여부를 결정한다. 만약 표제어의 의미범주 정보, 격틀을 이용하여도 복원 여부를 결정하지 못할 경우에는 Maximum Entropy 모델에 기반한 통계 기법을 적용하여 복원 여부를 결정한다. 그리고 각각 방법의 단점을 보완하기 위해서 규칙에 해당하는 표제어 의미범주 정보와 격틀 정보에는 통계 모델인 ME 모델을 보완하여 사용한다.

  • 오늘날 MPLS 망에서의 제어 부분(control plane)을 다양한 장치의 스위칭(switching)과 포워딩(forwarding) 기술 및 계층을 포함할 수 있도록 확장하기 위해서 IETF에서 GMPLS 망이 제안되고 있다. 그리고 망은 보호(protection)와 복구(restoration)를 통해서 망의 생존성(survivability)을 지원해야만 한다. 망은 어떤 장애에서도 서비스가 제공될 수 있어야 한다. 본 논문은 Kini에 의해서 제안된[5] MPLS망에서 망의 장애 시에 망의 생존성과 효율성을 고려해서 복구하기 위해서, 백업 패스(Backup Path)를 설정하는 방법을 GMPLS에서 적용하려고 한다. 즉, GMPLS 망에서 망에 장애가 발생했을 때 효율적으로 복구하기 위해서, RSVF-TE(resource Reservation Protocol with Traffic Engineering)를 이용해서 백업 패스를 잡는다.

  • Plantar fasciitis is a common pathological condition of the foot and often be a challenge for clinicans to successfully treat. The purpose of this article is to present and discuss selected literature on the function and anatomy, causes, symptoms and clinical treating methods of plantar fasciitis. A majority of patients with plantar fasciitis present with either a pronated or a cave foot. Pain is usually localized to the plantar medial heel at the attachment of the plantar fascia to the calcaneus. Surgical and nonsurgical techniques have been used in the treatment of plantar fasciitis. Nonsurgical management for the treatment of the symptoms and discomfort associated with plantar fasciitis can be classified into brod categories: reducing pain and inflammation. reducing tissue stress to a tolerable level, and restoring muscle strength and flexibility of involved tissue.

  • This paper is to introduce a more effective and flexible restoration algorithm composed to the fault preventing and restoring system now in use. This was possible by considering the changes that can occur by the proper or the improper run of the Feeder, which the power system restoration method now using didn't consider. The new algorithm uses the method minimizing the loss with respect to the load changes occuring when the power system is restored, rather than just simply following the SOP that is only composed of a single Feeder On/off combination. This can present the more effective power system running method for the safer subway running and passenger transport, by giving the system operator the chance to choose between the SOP and the minimum loss method.

Seismic Response Analyses of Seismically Isolated Structures Using the Laminated Rubber Bearings

  • In general, the laminated rubber bearing (LRB), a composite structure laminated with the elastic rubber and steel plates, has a complex hysteretic nonlinear characteristics in relationships between the restoring force and shear deflection. The representative nonlinear characteristics of LRB include the change of hysteresis loop with cyclic shear deflections and the hardening effects at large shear deflection regions. Changes of the hysteresis loop of LRB with cyclic shear deflections affect the horizontal stiffness and the damping characteristics. The hardening behavior of LRB in large shear deflection region results in an increased horizontal stiffness and therefore, has a great impacton the seismic responses. In this paper, the seismic response analysis is carried out using the modified hysteretic bi-linear model of LRB, which takes into account the hysteresis loop change and the hardening behavior with cyclic shear deflection. The results on seismic responses are compared with those obtained using the widely used hysteretic hi-linear model. The new model is found to reveal the greater amount of peak acceleration response.

  • It has been a huge amount of capacity of 10GB data base in a decade ago so far. Nowadays, however, 10TB is the common data base and even bigger capacities are available. So, new generation of Very Large Data Base (VLDB) has begun. Moving in to the new generation of VLDB has been caused major problems like backing up, restoring, and managing especially performance. It is very hard to export necessary data rapidly now due to the huge amount of data base. In the past, such kind of problems was out of the questions because of less data. As time goes on, however, optimization of performance became a big issue when the VLDB is common. Therefore, new professional technics are urgently required to maintain and optimize the data base that has become a VLDB or one that is in the progress of becoming one.

Esthetic Restoration of Deciduous Teeth Using Prefabricated Zirconia Crown in Children with Early Childhood Caries: A Report of Three Cases

  • Early childhood caries is a widespread condition that requires attention; however, its treatment remains a challenge in terms of child behavior management. This study describes the usefulness of customized zirconia crowns for the restoration of deciduous teeth through the evaluation of some cases. Three cases are described: a 29-month-old girl who presented with severe early childhood caries affecting anterior tooth, a 50-month-old boy who presented with extensive caries of his anterior tooth, and 70-month-old girl who presented with extensive caries of his primary posterior dentition. These prefabricated, zirconium-based ceramic crowns ($Nusmile^{TM}$ NuSmile) are available in various sizes, shapes and colors. Before the treatment, radiographs and intraoral photographs were taken to evaluate the appropriateness of treatment. Our findings indicate that customized zirconia crowns may be appropriate for restoring the deciduous teeth. Further long-term clinical studies are required to clarify the usefulness of this restorative method.

  • We conduct the conservation treatment for the plate armour excavated from No. 321 of Tumulus Group of Yangdong-ri, Gimhae and examine its structure in detail. In terms of the treatment of plate armour, we strengthen the quality of material of weakened remains by disassembling the packed plate armour in urethane form and focus on restoring their original form.

  • Selective laser sintering (SLS) is a fast growing process of rapid production fur metallic based parts. To restore damaged mold surface using SLS, single layer experiments of $20{\mu}m$ Fe-Cr powder was performed under various heat input. Process window of $20{\mu}m$ Fe-Cr powder provided feasible process parameters for the smooth regular surface. To estimate coherence between melted powder and basematal, tendency of hardness distribution has been observed. Hardness of melted zone and remelted zone was diversified from 5GPa to 6.5GPa. It is over 2 times compared of hardness of basemetal. Average surface roughness of each direction on surface of melted powder was measured. Experimental results show that the mold restoring process using SLS can be successfully applied in the mold repair industry.
