피드백 제공자에 따른 초등학생들의 과학 학업 성취도 차이 및 피드백에 대한 반응 (Differences in the Effect of Feedback Providers on Elementary Students' Science Achievement and the Students Responses to the Feedback)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 교사와 학생들에 의해 제공되는 피드백이 초등학생들의 과학 학업 성취도에 미치는 효과의 차이를 알아보고, 서로 다른 주체에 의해 제공되는 피드백에 관한 초등학생들의 반응을 조사하는 것이다 초등학교 6학년 세 개 학급을 신정하여 총 9차시의 수업이 진행되는 동안 주기적으로 형성 평가를 실시하고, 형성 평가 결과에 대한 피드백 제공 여부 및 피드백 제공자를 달리하는 수업 처치를 적용하였다. 실험 집단 1에서는 교사에 의한 서술식 피드백과 강의식 피드백이 제공되었으며, 실험 집단 2에서는 학생들이 소집단으로 나뉘어 동료들 간에 피드백을 교환하였고, 통제 집단에는 형성 평가에 대한 피드백을 제공하지 않았다. 수업 처치 후에 실시된 과학 학업 성취도 검사 결과에 따르면, 피드백을 제공 받은 학생들의 과학 학업 성취도가 피드백을 제공 받지 않은 학생들에 비하여 통계적으로 유의미한 수준에서 높게 나타났으며, 이러한 차이는 교사에게서 피드백을 제공 받은 집단과 피드백을 제공받지 않은 집단 사이에서 발견되었다. 또, 실험 집단 1과 2에서 학업 성취 수준에 따라 선정된 학생들과의 면담 결과, 학생들은 교사에 의해 제공되는 피드백에 대하여 긍정적으로 반응한 반면, 동료에 의해 제공되는 피드백에 관해서는 상대적으로 부정적으로 반응하였다. 특히, 피드백에 대한 반응은 학생들의 과학 학업 성취도 수준에 따라 차이를 보였다 즉, 교사에 의해 피드백을 제공받은 집단에서 과학 학업 성취도가 낮은 학생들은 교사의 서술식 피드백 보다는 강의식 피드백을 선호하였으며, 동료 간에 피드백을 주고 받은 집단에서 과학 학업 성취도가 높은 학생들은 많은 양의 피드백을 제공해야 하는 자신의 역할에 거부감을 가지고 있었고, 과학 학업 성취 수준이 낮은 학생들은 자신이 작성하는 피드백에 대한 자신감을 결여하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이상과 같은 연구의 결과를 토대로, 초등학교 교실에서는 학생들의 학습을 돕기 위하여 피드백을 고려한 수업이 지속적으로 이루어져야 하며, 특히 학생들 간의 교수 행위를 바탕으로 하는 수업 전략이 시행될 때에는 학생들의 학업 성취 수준에 따라 적절하게 다르게 처방된 전략이 동원되어야 한다는 것을 제안하였다.

음성 사용자 인터페이스 내 피드백 유형이 사용자의 주관적 반응에 미치는 (Effects of Feedback Types on Users' Subjective Responses in a Voice User Interface)

  • 본 연구에서는 음성 사용자 인터페이스가 적용된 시스템 사용 중 오류가 발생했을 때 제공되는 피드백이 시스템에 대한 사용자의 평가에 어떠한 영향을 줄 것인지에 대해 알아보았다. 피드백 유형(확인 피드백, 정교화 피드백)과 오류 유형(인식 실패, 수행 실패)을 독립 변수로 하고 사용자의 주관적 평가와 피드백 수용성, 향후 이용 의도를 종속 변수로 하는 요인설계 실험연구를 진행하였다. 이원 다변량 분산분석을 한 결과, 피드백 유형만 사용자의 주관적 평가와 피드백 수용성, 향후 이용의도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 피드백 수용성에 대해 피드백 유형과 오류 유형의 상호작용 효과가 발견되었다. 따라서 VUI 설계 시, 오류 정보를 자세히 알려주는 피드백을 제공하는 것을 고려해 볼 수 있을 것이다.

선형외란에 대응하는 인체의 자세응답 해석 (Human Postural Response to Linear Perturbation)

  • Human postural responses appeared to have stereotyped modality, such as ankle mode, knee mode and hip mode in response to various perturbations. We examined whether human postural control gain of full-state feedback could be decoupled along with the eigenvector. To verify the model, postural responses subjected to fast backward perturbation were used. Upright posture was modeled as 3-segment inverted pendulum incorporated with feedback control, and joint torques were calculated using inverse dynamics. Postural modalities such as ankle, knee and hip mode were obtained from eigenvectors of biomechanical model. As oppose to the full-state feedback control, independent eigenvector control assumes that modal control input is determined by the linear combination of corresponding modality. We used optimization method to obtain and compare the feedback gains for both independent eigenvector control and full-state feedback control. As a result, we found that simulation result of eigenvector feedback was not competitive in comparison with that of full-state feedback control. This implies that the CNS would make use of full-state body information to generate compensative joint torques.

지식관리시스템에서 지각된 피드백, 동기, 지식기여 간의 관계에 대한 실증분석 (An Empirical Analysis of the Relationships among Perceived Feedback, Motivation, and Use for Contribution in Knowledge Management Systems)

  • This study examines the role of perceived feedback and motivations on the use for contribution in Knowledge Management Systems (KMS). An individual expects responses from others when he or she posts the knowledge or questions of soliciting knowledge in KMS. If an individual posts a message and there are many responses, motivation to use KMS will develop. Prior research has considered feedback a potential factor that would affect an individual's motivation, such as self-efficacy, but there is few prior works that have tested empirically on how feedback can influence an individual's motivations as well as the use for contribution in KMS. Perceived feedback can be categorized into feedback on posted knowledge and feedback on knowledge request postings. The results of the study show that motivations such as organizational reward, knowledge self-efficacy, and enjoyment of helping, except for social reward, are associated with the use for contribution. Our results also show that among perceived feedback, feedback on posted knowledge affects motivation and use for contribution while feedback on knowledge request postings directly influences the use for contribution.

술기 수행에서 간호대학생의 동료피드백 유형 및 동료피드백에 대한 정서반응, 피드백의 질, 학습자기효능감 (Nursing Students' Peer Feedback Types and Emotional Response, Quality of Feedback, and Self-efficacy for Learning from Peer Feedback in Skill Training)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to identify types of peer feedback in nursing skills performance training and to investigate emotional response, perceived quality of feedback and self-efficacy for learning from peer feedback. Methods: A total of 110 second-year nursing students attending fundamentals of nursing classes at a university participated in 2017. Participants received peer feedback from one selected colleague who observed their skills performance, and completed a questionnaire. Contents of peer feedback video recordings were transcribed and classified into seven types of feedback. Data were analyzed using an independent t-test, ANOVA and Pearson correlation. Results: Participants mostly received feedback of 'correcting' and 'providing information.' Positive emotional responses from peer feedback were above medium, and negative emotional responses were low. The perceived quality of peer feedback was moderate and self-efficacy for learning was high. Quality of feedback correlated with negative emotional response (r=-.24, p=.014), and self-efficacy for learning (r=.35, p<.001). Self-efficacy for learning correlated with intimacy with peers (r=.24, p=.011) and positive emotional response (r=.21, p=.028). Conclusion: The results suggest that peer feedback in skill training could be used in terms of emotional response and self-efficacy for learning.

학습피드백으로서 보상과 처벌 관련 두뇌 활성화 연구 (Learning-associated Reward and Penalty in Feedback Learning: an fMRI activation study)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 학습상황에서 피드백으로 주어지는 금전적 획득/손실(학습 피드백)과 비학습적 상황에서 우연히 제시되는 의사 피드백(무선 피드백)을 비교하는 방법을 사용하여, 금전적 보상과 처벌의 학습 피드백으로서만 가지는 정보처리에 어느 두뇌 영역이 관여하는지를 규명하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 정상 성인(n = 22)을 대상으로 fMRI scan 동안 단서 자극에 대한 범주 버튼 반응(좌/우)의 정확 여부에 따라 피드백이 제시되는 시행(학습시행)과 단서 자극의 위치판단 반응과 무관하게 피드백이 제시되는 시행(무선시행)을 사건 관련 fMRI 방략으로 제시하였다. 두 시행 간 보상과 처벌과 같은 동기적 사건에 대한 두뇌 반응이 변별적으로 나타나는지를 알아보기 위해 시행 유형(학습 vs. 무선)과 피드백 유형(보상 vs, 처벌)을 두 독립변인으로 한 반복측정 이원분산분석을 하였다(voxel-wise FWE p < .001). 그 결과, 좌측 배외측 전두피질(dorsolateral prefrontal cortex), 좌측 전측 도(anterior insular), 배내측 전두피질(dorsomedial prefrontal cortex) 등의 영역에서 유의한 상호작용 효과가 관찰되었는데, 이들 영역은 모두 학습-보상 피드백 및 무선-처벌 피드백보다 학습-처벌 피드백에 대해 증가한 두뇌 활성을 보였다. 본 연구 결과는 학습상황에서 주어지는 처벌 피드백에 대한 기존 전략의 변경이나 재평가를 위한 집행적 처리, 적절하지 못하거나 틀린 행동에 대한 오류처리 과정 그리고 실패 경험에 대한 부정적 정서처리가 위에서 언급한 피질신경망을 중심으로 이루어질 가능성을 보여준다. 따라서 학습의 처벌 피드백은 보상과 달리 위와 같은 추가적 정보처리 과정이 존재할 가능성을 시사한다.

Student Perceptions of Different Feedback Givers' Written Responses

  • This study aims to investigate the different opinions about feedback given to high level Middle School students about their writing.18 students in the Gifted Program participated in the study. They were divided into three groups through their presurvey answers according to their language learning opportunities and genders. Students language self-assessment was compared with achievement as well. Three times of students' written work were collected. They then received feedback from the teacher and their two peers respectively. With the teachers' and peers' feedback, they completed their final draft. The study then examines how much the students take feedback practically from the different feedback givers. Examples of formative and corrective feedback were arranged to find out the differences in the students practice when giving and taking feedback. These Gifted class students showed that they didn't care much about who gave them the feedback, instead they cared more about how much language competence they presumed the feedback giver had. Implications of the findings are discussed and future study is suggested.

Sales Control Systems and Behavioral Responses: Mediating Role of Regulatory Focus and Moderating Role of P-O Fit

  • Built on regulatory focus theory, this article develops a research model proposing the relationship between management controls (outcome, activity and capability), sales employees' prevention and promotion focus and their behavioral responses (feedback seeking from different sources and relationship investment). The model also suggests that salesperson perceived organizational fit (P-O fit) contributes by influencing the situational self-regulatory mechanism based on regulatory fit theory. To analyze the data, a structural equation model procedure using LISREL 8.5 was employed. To access the potential common method bias, the MV" marker method was applied using a scale theoretically unrelated to at least one scale in the analysis as the MV marker. The results showed that the greater the salesperson's perceived activity control system, the greater the extent of employee prevention focus. The findings also showed that output control and capability control system are positively related to the promotion focus of salespeople. Salespeople's prevention focus relates negatively to the relational investment and positively to organization feedback seeking. The results indicate that salespeople who have promotion focus exhibit the predicted positive influence on their relationship investment. A significant contribution of this research framework is suggesting salesperson regulatory focus as a mediator and its' effects on different types of sales-related behaviors. The author suggests that the motivational orientations of salespeople play key roles in shaping feedback seeking behaviors from different sources; broadly, that employees with a promotion focus will be more sensitive to customers' feedback, and employees with a prevention focus will seek more feedback from the organization. Furthermore, salespeople with a promotion focus will invest more resources to build relationships with customers than salespeople with a prevention focus. This research also explains the moderating role of person-organization fit on the effect of salespeople's regulatory focus and behavioral responses based on regulatory fit theory

Romanian-Lexicon-Based Sentiment Analysis for Assesing Teachers' Activity

  • The students' feedback is important to measure and improve teaching performance. Many teacher performance evaluation systems are based on responses to closed question, but the free text answers can contain useful information which had to be explored. In this paper we present a lexicon-based sentiment analysis to explore students' text feedback. The data was collected from a system for the evaluation of teachers by students developed and used in our university. The students comments are in Romanian language so we built a Romanian sentiment word lexicon. We used this to categorize the feeback text as positive, negative or neutral. In addition, we added a new polarity - indifferent - in order to categorize blank and "I don't answer" responses.

일부 지역 치위생(학)과 학생들의 자기결정성이 수업참여에 미치는 영향: 교육자의 피드백 유형의 매개효과를 중심으로 (The effect of some local dental hygiene and students' self-determination on class participation: Focusing on the mediating effect of educators' feedback types)

  • Objectives: This study was conducted to understand the effect of learners' self-determination on class participation, focusing on the feedback type of educators. Methods: A survey was conducted from May 1 to May 31 2021 on dental hygiene students, and a total of 151 valid responses were analyzed. The questionnaire consisted of general characteristics, self-determination, class participation, and educator's feedback type. The analysis method used correlation analysis and hierarchical regression analysis. Results: In relation to self-determination, class participation, and feedback type of educators, self-determination was positive feedback (r=0.338, p<0.01), class participation was corrective feedback (r=0.418, p<0.01), and positive feedback was correction (r=0.742, p<0.01). As a result of the mediating effect of the educator's feedback type in the relationship between self-determination and class participation, it was found to be significant by partially mediating positive and corrective feedback. Conclusions: It was found that the right to self-determination influences class participation based on positive feedback and corrective feedback of educators. It relates to efforts to strengthen learners' self-determination and provide appropriate types of feedback from educators.
