The rapid increase in the consumption of products that contain rare metals has highlighted the importance of recycling and recovering resources from these products when they enter the waste stream. Among various metal resources that can be recovered, this study analyzes the waste streams of cobalt and palladium to determine how their waste resource circulation can be improved at each stage of the waste stream. The findings of this study point to improvements and strategies that can be made at individual stages. First, at the discharge/import stage, the implementation of tariff quotas for specific recycled metal resources is suggested to allow the systemic categorization of waste metals as resources. At the collection/discarding stage, a major problem is the instability in the supply of scrap metals, which may be better managed by changing the bidding process for the scrap metals. At the pretreatment stage, possible areas for improvement are uncovered concerning technical areas, such as technological development and improving the efficiency of material recycling, as well as policy-wise, for instance, expanding the regulation for manufacturers to produce products that are designed to facilitate resource recovery, increasing incentive for closed recycling, and refining the guidelines and standards for recycling. At the resource recovery stage, as the waste metal recycling industry consists of businesses that vary in size, policies to promote cooperation and coexistence between large and smaller enterprises will benefit the industry in the long-run. Lastly, at the product production/export stage, a tariff on exporting waste resources that contain cobalt and palladium will help control the amount of waste metals that are shipped abroad.
Recent development of lithium ion batteries for vehicles industries have led to a boom in lithium exploration and development for the new generation of batteries. One of the cheapest sources of lithium is the brines hosted in the aquifers of the arid intermontane-closed salar basins. Because the resource is a fluid, with the attendant problems of in-aquifer mixing, reorganization, and lower recovery factors compared with most metalliferous and industrial mineral deposits due to reliance on pumping of the brine from wells for extraction, existing codes for filing resource and reserve estimates require new approach for these prospects. Evaluation of brine resources is complex and requires participation of a variety of qualified experts such as hydrogeologists, geologists, geochemists and chemical engineers. The technical reports disclosing the results of these estimates should reflect the inputs of multi-disciplinary approaches. The requirements for brine resource and reserve evaluation, drawing on several examples from the experiences in the Central Andes are reviewed in this paper.
Mobile agents are defined as processes which can be autonomously delegated or transferred among the hosts in a network in order to perform some computations on behalf of the user and co-operate with other agents. Currently, mobile agents are used in various fields, such as electronic commerce, mobile communication, parallel processing, search of information, recovery, and so on. In pure P2P network environment, if mobile agents that require computing resources rashly migrate to another peers without consideration on the peer's capacity of resources, the peer may have a problem that the performance of the peer is degraded due to lack of resources. To solve this problem, we propose resource reservation based load balancing scheme of using RMA(Resource Management Agent) that monitors workload information of the peers and that decides migrating agents and destination peers. In mobile agent migrating procedure, if the resource of specific peer is already reserved, our resource reservation scheme prevents other mobile agents from allocating the resource.
Since the Framework Act on Resource Circulation was enacted in 2018, the government should establish a National Resource Circulation Master Plan every 10 years, which defines mid- to long-term policy goals and directions on the efficient use of resources, prevention of waste generation and recycling of waste. In addition, we must set mid- to long-term and stepwise targets for the final disposal rate, recycling rate (based on sorted recyclable materials and recycled products), and energy recovery rate of wastes, and relevant measures should be taken to achieve these targets. However, the current industrial waste (IW) statistics have limitations in setting these targets because the final disposal rate and recycling rate are calculated as the ratio of the recycling facility input to the IW generation. In this study, the material flow from the collection stage to the final disposal of industrial waste was analyzed based on the generation of 2016, and the actual recycling amount, actual incineration amount, final disposal amount and their rates were calculated. The effect on the recycling, incineration and final disposal rates was examined by changing the treatment method of nonhazardous wastes from the factory and construction and demolition wastes, which were put in landfills in 2016. In addition, the variation of the waste treatment charge was investigated according to the change of treatment methods. The results of this study are expected to be effectively used to establish the National Resource Circulation Master Plan and industrial waste management policy in the future in South Korea.
Recently, we have investigated the recovery of resources from the waste material of manufacturing printed circuit board. As printed circuit board or chip has become light, small, high reliability, it is necessary to reuse and recover resources from them. Especially, the printed circuit board that has been used for important mobile electronic pans are plated with min.0.03 ${\mu}m$ to max.50 ${\mu}m$. As increasing the cost of gold, raw material, chemicals, payments and waste material, it has been accelerated the competition for reuse and recovery. But, it is insufficiency of technician and equipments for the recovery of effective resource. In this paper, as analyzing the technical trend of gold recovery and waste back board from the manufacturing process of printed circuit board, it may be effective of recycling, further more it may be contributed to develop the valuable resources.

BACKGROUND: An analytical method was developed using GC-ECD/MS to precisely determine the residue of fipronil, a phenylpyrazole insecticide used to control a wide range of foliar and soil-borne pests.METHOD AND RESULTS: Fipronil residue was extracted with acetone from representative samples of five raw products which comprised hulled rice, soybean, Kimchi cabbage, green pepper, and apple. The extract was diluted with saline water, and fipronil was partitioned into n-hexane/dichloromethane (20/80, v/v) to remove polar co-extractives in the aqueous phase. Florisil column chromatography was additionally employed for final purification of the extract. Fipronil was separated and quantitated by GC-ECD using a DB-17 capillary column. Accuracy of the proposed method was validated by the recovery from crop samples fortified with fipronil at 3 levels per crop in each triplication.CONCLUSION: Mean recoveries ranged from 86.6% to 106.0% in five representative agricultural commodities. The coefficients of variation were less than 10%. Limit of quantitation of fipronil was 0.004 mg/kg as verified by the recovery experiment. A confirmatory technique using GC/MS with selected-ion monitoring was also provided to clearly identify the suspected residue. Therefore, this analytical method was reproducible and sensitive enough to determine the residue of fipronil in agricultural commodities.
The evolution of the mining-induced fracture network formed during longwall top coal caving (LTCC) has a great influence on the gas drainage, roof control, top coal recovery ratio and engineering safety of aquifers. To reveal the evolution of the mining-induced stress and fracture network formed during LTCC, the fracture network in front of the working face was observed by borehole video experiments. A discrete element model was established by the universal discrete element code (UDEC) to explore the local stress distribution. The regression relationship between the fractal dimension of the fracture network and mining stress was established. The results revealed the following: (1) The mining disturbance had the most severe impact on the borehole depth range between approximately 10 m and 25 m. (2) The distribution of fractures was related to the lithology and its integrity. The coal seam was mainly microfractures, which formed a complex fracture network. The hard rock stratum was mainly included longitudinal cracks and separated fissures. (3) Through a numerical simulation, the stress distribution in front of the mining face and the development of the fracturing of the overlying rock were obtained. There was a quadratic relationship between the fractal dimension of the fractures and the mining stress. The results obtained herein will provide a reference for engineering projects under similar geological conditions.

The present age, it takes an interest in maintenance and preserve of the aged constructive materials cause destruction of environmental reason and a loss of resource. As answering question given to candidates at a civil examination, it is carbonated concrete construction materials to give alkalization agent to seek the plan to be extended durable life. The representative material, it was known for a chemical compound of alkailzation-Silica acid with Lithium and also used on inside and outside the country. But, it is so difficult to decide the effect because the work is to be repeated for a processing of construction. So, in this study, to investigate recovery faculty on a period of incubation that restrain processing of carbonation by impregnation alkalization agent, we were made good progress from basic test through comparative and analysis at laboratory and the spot of construction.

In general, a deadlock in flexible manufacturing systems (FMSs) is caused by a resource limitation and the diversity of routings. However, the deadlock of industrial controllers such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs) can occur from different causes compared with those in general FMSs. The deadlock of PLCs is usually caused by an error signal between PLCs and manufacturing systems. In this paper, we propose a deadlock detection and recovery (DDR) algorithm to resolve the deadlock problem of PLCs at design stage. This paper employs the MAPN (modified automation Petri net), MTPL (modified token passing logic), and ECC (efficient code conversion) algorithm to model manufacturing systems and to convert a Petri net model into a desired LD (ladder diagram). Finally, an example of manufacturing systems is provided to illustrate the proposed DDR algorithm.

ACSR is a timed process algebra for the specification and analysis of real-time systems, which supports synchronous timed actions and asynchronous instantaneous events. PACSR is an extended ACSR with the notion of probabilities in selection operation. Using PACSR, this paper represents a system fault occurrence and recovery from the fault in the general resource alteration system. The result shows that system fault occurrence can be analyzed from the fault occurrence probability and the recovery probability.
