고강도 경량골재콘크리트의 동결융해에 대한 실험적 연구 (A Experimental Study on the Freezing and Thawing of High-Strength Light Weight Aggregates Concrete)

  • This Expriment is performed to describe the properties of the freezing-thawing and to find the method to enhance the freezing-thawing resistance of the high strength light weight aggregates concrete. For this purpose, we made 8 kinds of specimen of concrete mold. The light weight coarse aggregate concrete which contained AE was appeared in good condition and its durability index was more than 90% by the buffer action which owing to entained air. The light weight aggregates concrete which admixture of silca fume, was appeared that the durability index was 46.74% in spite of its high strength. I might conclude that the most important factor for freezing-thawing resistance of high strength light weight aggregate concrete is the entrained air.

경량 폴리머 콘크리트의 난연성 및 동결융해 저항성 (Incombustibility and Freezing-Thawing Resistance of Lightweight Polymer Concrete)

  • The effects of binder content and silica sand content on the durability characteristics of lightweight polymer concretes are examined. As a result, the flame lingering times using unsaturated polyester resin and non-combustible polyester resin were 60∼120 and 0∼4 seconds respectively, and the combustion lengths were 9∼11 mm and 0∼3 mm, respectively. Thus it is believed that the lightweight polymer concrete was incombustible and the light weight polymer concrete in which non-combustible material was added was perfectly non-combustible. The percent of original mass of lightweight polymer concrete, according to the freezing-thawing experiment, was below 0.3 %, which was much less than that of cement concrete. The pluse velocity, for the case of the binder content 28 %, showed the minimum decreasing rate for the lightweight polymer concrete with silica sand content of 50 %. The higher the binder content, the greater the durability. That is much higher than other material and believed that the freezing-thawing was suppressed by a low absorption.

  • 본 연구에서는 고로슬래그의 치환율이 80% 이상에 이르는 슬래그 대량 치환 콘크리트(High Volume Slag Concrete, HVSC)의 개발을 목표로 압축강도, 염해 및 동결융해 저항성에 미치는 고로슬래그의 영향 및 알칼리 자극제의 효과에 대해 평가하였다. 그 결과 고로슬래그 미분말의 치환율 증가에 따른 압축강도 발현특성은 초기 및 장기의 모든 재령에서 감소하였으며 염해 및 동결융해 저항성은 매우 우수한 것으로 나타났다. 한편 알칼리 자극제의 첨가에 따른 초기강도 발현특성은 현저히 개선되었으며 염해 및 동결융해 저항성 향상에 기여하는 효과가 큰 것으로 나타났다.

구조보강용 FRP 복합체의 동결용해 저항성 평가 연구 (Freezing-Thawing Resistance of Fiber Reinforced Polymers in Strengthening RC Members)

  • 본 논문에서는 FRP 복합체로 보강된 콘크리트 구조물의 동결융해 저항성을 평가하기 위하여 동결융해 진행에 따른 FRP 복합체의 인장강도 및 콘크리트에 대한 인발접착강도의 변화를 측정하였다. 주 실험변수는 동결융해 조건, FRP 복합체의 종류, 동결융해 싸이클로 설정하였다. KS F 2456의 동결융해 시험규격에 따라 실시된 탄소섬유복합체의 인장강도는 최종 싸이클까지 변화가 없었으며, 또한 접착성능의 저하도 관측되지 않아 CFRP의 동결융해 저항성은 매우 우수한 것으로 나타났다. 이에 대하여 유리섬유복합체의 경우는 최종 싸이클에서의 인장강도 및 인발접착강도가 각각 10%, 15% 저하된 것으로 나타나 부분적으로 성능이 저하되는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 접착강도 평가시 지속적인 동결수가 공급되는 상황에서는 상이한 결과가 나타날 수 있으므로 이에 대한 주의가 필요할 것으로 판단된다.

동결융해와 염해에 따른 복합열화를 고려한 콘크리트의 내구수명 예측 (Durability Life Prediction of Concrete Subjected to Freezing-Thawing and Chloride Attack)

  • As the number of concrete building structures in marine environment increases, it is important to study and predict the durability and the compound deterioration of the concrete which is exposed in both chloride and freezing-thawing damage. The concrete's resistance against freezing and thawing is tested based on KS F 2456, while its chloride ion diffusion coefficient is evaluated based on NT BUILD 492. In result, the more exposure to freezing and thawing process, the shorter life it gets, due to the increased amount of chloride ion diffusion coefficient.

시료 크기에 따른 CSG재료의 압축강도 및 미세 구조 특성 (Unconfined Compressive Strength and Micro-Structure Properties of CSG Materials Due to Specimen Size)

  • The purpose of this study is to provide basic data for utilization in environment-friendly and economically outstanding CSG construction method by physical and mechanical properties of CSG materials including characteristics of uniaxial compressive strength, microscopic structure and freezing and thawing resistance in accordance with the cement content and curing time of the cement, and size of specimen. In this study, specimens with cement content of 4, 6, 8 and 10% of the total weight were, and, in order to examine the characteristics of the sizes of specimen, specimens with ${\Phi}50{\times}100mm$, ${\Phi}100{\times}200mm$ and ${\Phi}150{\times}300mm$ were manufactured to assess the features including compressive strength, microscopic structure, freezing and thawing, and degree of wet-dry. As results, it was found that with greater size specimen or contents of cement in the specimen, compressive strength, freezing and thawing resistance, and wet-dry resistance increase. Moreover, reactive products for each size of specimen were examined and it was possible to verify that some typical needle structured ettringite was generated due to blending of cement through microscopic structure analysis such as SEM and EDS analysis.

  • FRP composites which are used in strengthening existing structure are usually adhered to the concrete surface, their performance are directly affected by environmental condition such as freezing-thawing and moisture. Accordingly, it is required to evaluate bond durability between FRP composite and concrete as well as FRP materials itself. The durability characteristics of FRP composite for freezing-thawing are evaluated in this study with the variables of concrete strength, type of FRP composite, freezing-thawing conditions and freezing-thawing cycle. In addition, material durability of GFRP sheet for high temperature/high humidity condition are examined in this experimental study.

  • This study was conducted to evaluate performance of asphalt concretes under various densities, using Marshall specimens before and after freezing-and-thawing treatment. Six different compaction blows per side (20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70 blows) were applied to specimens to produce different densities. Test results showed that the lower density specimens had the weaker resistance to freezing-and-thawing treatment. The density was an index of retaining fatigue life and displacement after freezing-and-thawing. Therefore, poor compaction in pavement was considered to be a major cause of early distress mechanisms such as rutting, ravelling and cracking, which were resulted in a reduced service life.

  • 페로니켈 슬래그는 페로니켈의 제련과정에서 발생하는 산업부산물로, 냉각 방법에 따라 서냉 페로니켈 슬래그와 수쇄 페로니켈 슬래그로 구분된다. 본 연구의 목적은 서냉 페로니켈 슬래그(air-cooled ferronickel slag, ACFNS) 잔골재를 이용한 콘크리트의 역학적 특성 및 동결융해 저항성을 평가하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 물-시멘트비 50%에 대해서 ACFNS 혼입률을 잔골재용적비로 7가지 수준(0%, 20%, 30%, 40%, 50%, 70%, 100%)으로 변화시켜 ACFNS 잔골재를 이용한 콘크리트를 제작하였다. 실험결과로부터, ACFNS 잔골재 콘크리트의 압축강도 및 정탄성계수는 ACFNS의 혼입률이 증가할수록 커지고, 동결융해 저항성은 동결융해 300 사이클 동안 상대동탄성계수가 90% 이상으로 나타난 기준 콘크리트와 유사한 것으로 나타났다.

  • The resistivity of cement paste and mortar for freezing and thawing was investigated for densifying the structure of cement paste and mortor, slag, diatomaceous earth and fly ash as blending materials and superplasticizer were used, and air entraining agent was added to absorb the volume expansion by freezing and thawing reaction. And then the specimens were subjected to freeze-thaw in water. When both of air entraining agent and superplasticizer as additives were mixed to specimens, their freeze-thaw resistance was enhanced by the air entraining effect and the water reduction effect. When 4% of slag were added to cement, freeze-thaw resistance was especially excellent. In addition, it was found that the specimens with blending materials were more influenced by curing periods than those without admixture. It is assumed that the curing periods contribute to exibit the potential hydraulicity and pozzolanic reactivity of blending materials and to densify their texture.
