CFD모사 기법을 이용한 관내 혼화장치내 수두손실 발생 특성 평가 (Evaluation of Head Loss within In-Line Mixer for Water Treatment using CFD Technique)

  • This study was conducted for verification and systematization of estimation method about the headloss using CFD(Computational Fluid Dynamics). Head loss which happens between the inlet and outlet of in-line mixer can be a major factor for the design and construction. Also, this Case studies about the sensitivity related to the velocity in the piping system. As result, program's default calculation function was used to get each side's total pressure and the differential of each total pressure could be defined as head loss from in-line mixer. In the case of adopting pipe surface friction factor and geometry loss, Calculation residual can be much more reduced. It was found that residual of value between CFD method and field test ranged about 3 through 18 precent.

  • In case of the drainage type tunnel, the residual water pressure is likely to act on the tunnel lining due to the decrease of water-passing capacity of the filter material. Therefore, this study discussions a method to predict the lining load with the consideration of water passing capacity of the filter material through the literature review and numerical analysis. It is expected from the results of case studies that the design load acting on the concrete lining in the drainage type tunnel could be assumed to be about 50% of the hydrostatic water pressure in steady-state ground-water condition.

초임계 이산화탄소에 의한 난황분의 추출 (Supercritical Carbon Dioxide Extraction of Dried Egg Yolk)

  • Investigations were performed on the effects of extraction temperature, pressure, time on solubility and selectivity of egg yolk lipid and cholesterol, and color and fatty acid composition of the residue in supercritical carbon dioxide(SC-Co$_2$) extraction. Lipid and cholesterol solubility increased as the increase of Co$_2$ density and was found to strongly depend on the extraction pressure rather than the extraction temperature. The relative concentration of cholesterol in the extract increased with an increase in temperature and decreased with an increase in pressure and extraction time. extraction of dried eg yolk for 3hr at 4$0^{\circ}C$/276 bar removed 46.1% of cholesterol from the residual egg yolk with a yield of 63.2%. SC-Co$_2$ extraction produced a lighter color egg yolk with less redness and yellowness. As the extraction time increased, the resultant residual egg yolk became more saturated with fatty acids. SC-$CO_2$ extraction offers a safe, natural method for removing cholesterol from dried egg yolk.

볼트-나사 결합체의 보수용접 건전성 평가 (Integrity Assessment of Weld Repair of Bolt-Screw Assembly)

  • The purpose of this study is to evaluate structural integrity of a weldment which is partially screwed and then welded. Two finite element models are constructed and solved: operating temperature and internal pressure are considered in the first simple model, and welding process and normal operating condition including heat-up process are simulated in the second model. Structural integrity assessment criteria are satisfied with both finite element models, therefore the repair weldment finely sustains structural integrity of this assembly and prevents leakage. Stresses are dramatically increased when weld residual stress is considered, but it should be considered as a secondary stress.

다짐 화강풍화토의 응력이력에 따른 정지상태 토압계수의 변화 (Variations of Coefficient of Earth Pressure at Rest According to Stress Paths for Compacted Residual Soils)

  • 벽체 변위가 제한되는 옹벽 구조물에 작용하는 토압은 시공 중 뒷채움토에 작용하는 다짐응력의 영향에 따라 변화한다. 정지토압을 보다 적절하게 추정하기 위해서는 이러한 영향을 고려하여 정지토압계수를 산정하여야 할 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 다짐 화강풍화토에 대해서 정지토압상태에서 흙이 받는 응력의 재하, 제하, 재 재하 단계를 모사하는 응력이력모델을 단주기 $K_o$-삼축시험으로 재현하였다. 실험결과로부터 각 하중단계의 응력이력조건에 대한 정지상태토압을 결정하였다. 이들 값을 경험식으로부터 얻은 값과 비교하여 다짐 화강풍화토에 대한 정지토압계수 결정을 위한 경험식의 적용성을 평가하였다. 결과적으로 다짐 화강풍화토에 대한 경험식의 적용성은 재 재하 경로에 대해서 오차 감안이 가능한 경우에 대체적으로 적절한 것으로 평가되었다.

가스압접 이형철근의 기계적 강도 특성 연구 (A Study on the Mechanical Properties of Gas Pressure Welded Splices of Deformed Reinforcing Bar)

  • 철근 콘크리트 구조에서 철근의 이음은 불가피하게 사용된다. 최근 들어 철근 콘크리트 구조물에 가장 많이 사용되고 있는 철근 이음에는 겹침 이음, 기계 이음, 그리고 용접 접합 등이 있다. 이중에서 저비용, 건설 현장에서의 실용성, 공사 기간 단축 및 고성능 등의 장점으로 인하여 가스 압접 이음의 효용성이 대두되고 있다. 그러나 가스 압접 이음 과정동안 철근이 열을 받게 되고 이는 접합부 주위에 잔류 응력으로 남아 철근의 피로수명에 영향을 미칠 수 있다. 그러므로 가스 압접 접합부의 명확한 잔류 응력 분석과 가스 압접 후 철근의 하중지지 능력을 확인하기 위한 인장 시험이 수행되어야 한다. 이 연구에서는 공용중인 철근(KS D3504 SD400)에 대하여 3차원 해석을 수행하여 연구 결과 잔류 응력은 상대적으로 작기 때문에 철근의 피로 수명에 영향을 미치지 않으며 인장 실험 결과에서도 가스 압접된 철근의 항복강도가 기준항복강도보다 높게 측정되어 하중 저항 능력도 가스 압접 이음부가 연속된 철근으로서의 거동에 충분히 그 성능을 발휘하는 것으로 나타났다.

  • In early constructed nuclear power plants, Ni-based Alloys 82/182 had been widely used for dissimilar metal welds (DMW) as a weld filler metal. However, Alloys 82/182 have been proven to be susceptible to primary water stress corrosion cracking (PWSCC) in the nuclear primary water environment. The formation of crack due to PWSCC is also influenced by weld residual stresses. Thus, the accurate estimation of weld residual stresses of DMW is crucial to investigate the possibility of PWSCC and instability behaviors of crack due to PWSCC. In this context, the present paper investigates weld residual stresses of nuclear reactor piping nozzles based on 2-D axi-symmetric finite element analyses based on layer-based approach using maximum molten bead temperature. In particular, the effect of analysis parameters, i.e., a thickness of weld layer, an initial molten bead temperature, convection heat transfer coefficient, and geometric constraints on predicted weld residual stresses was investigated.

  • 가압형 경수로 원자로의 압력용기 상부헤드 관통노즐 J-groove 용접부 주변에서 일차수응력부식균열(PWSCC)로 인한 냉각수 누설사례가 발생하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 PWSCC 의 주요 원인 중 하나인 용접 잔류응력을 유한요소 해석을 이용해 평가하고 원자력 발전소의 정상가동 조건을 해석에 반영하는 방법이 용접잔류응력 분포에 미치는 영향에 대한 분석을 수행하였다. 또한 반복되는 원자력 발전소의 가동 주기가 용접잔류응력 분포에 미치는 영향을 확인하여 정상가동조건에서의 정확한 용접 잔류응력을 예측할 수 있는 방법을 분석하였다.

Effect of Residual Stress on Femoral Arterial Stress-Strain Behavior

  • It is well established that arteries are subjected to residual stress. Due to the effect of residual stress, the arteries open to a horse-shoe shape when a longitudinal cut is made on an excised arterial segment. Previously, the residual stress has been quantified by the opening angle of the horse-shoe shape. We have employed a finite element analysis of the open arterial segment to restore the same to the original cylindrical shape and computed the circumferential strain as well as the stress distribution in the wall. In this study, the stress distribution in the femoral arteries of miniswine was computed with and without the residual stress for a range of transmural pressures. Our analysis showed that the residual stress has the effect of redistribution of the circumferential stresses between the intima and the adventitia under physiological loading. The redistribution of the stress with the inclusion of residual stress may be important in the studies on effect of wall stresses on the endothelial and vascular smooth muscle cells.

압착에 따른 원환체 형상의 두꺼운 직물 복합재 내부의 잔류응력 (Residual Stresses in Thick Fabric Composite Rings with Respect to Compaction)

  • The fabric composite rings for nozzle parts of solid rocket motors should be thick to endure high temperature and pressure of combustion gas. Since the thermal residual stresses developed during manufacturing of the axi-symmetric composite structures increase as the thickness increases and eventually induce failures during storage and operation, the estimation of the residual stresses is indispensable for design and manufacture of the thick composite nozzle parts. In this paper, thick fabric rings made of carbon fabric phenolic composites were fabricated in a hydroclave and in an autoclave using a multi-step pre-compaction process to minimize draping. The residual stresses distributed in the rings were measured by the radial-cut method and it was found that the compaction reduces the residual stresses in the composite ring.
