This study is about the research of living environment in residential areas created by the land readjustment projects in the modern era, and recently lifted from Residential Environment Improvement district at the same time. The five criteria for evaluating the residential area are safety, health, convenience, comfort, and sustainability. The level of resident satisfaction in general is as follows. [completely dissatisfy as 5.30%, dissatisfy as 16.29%, neutral as 49.62%, satisfy as 16.29% and completely satisfy as 6.82%]. The results of the five survey items on the residential areas show that residents are aware of the area not as an old residential area to be demolished, but as a comparatively excellent residential area, namely very different results from the designation criteria of the redevelopment area designated by the Urban and Residential Environment Improvement Act. If the road conditions and the deterioration of the buildings are judged to be designated as the redevelopment area and to be removed these settlements, the residential areas with social sustainability could demolished. Based on this study, it is necessary to conduct the research to find out the reason for deriving the results of each evaluation item in the succeeding study. These studies are needed to rediscover, to develop and manage the value of many old residential areas scattered in the city centers of local areas.

The Purpose of this study is to analyze the green design strategies in residential building, based on case study of Solar Decathlon in USA. This study could provide the basic reference data and theocratical foundation for finding new green design strategies and applicability of green design for korea. The Solar Decathlon is an green design competition that challenges collegiate teams to design, build, and operate the green residential building with optimal energy production and maximum efficiency. As a result of the analysis of this study, the green design strategy is identified and analyzed design issues related in energy, materials, and indoor/outdoor environment. Also, it is useful to find best green design strategy with more economical and environmental benefits presented by renewable energy and design solutions. This study is based on selected 18 green housings of Solar Decathlon from 2002 to 2013. This result is helpful to understand the green design strategies for green residential building's design of modern residential building, and expect future green residential building design approach.

Like other artificial architectures, the residence is also hard to be changed after once it has ever been built because its life is approximately estimated up to 20years. Furthermore, it may give big effect to residents as the life Quality. Because of these specificities, it seems to be important to forecast how demand of residential market will be changed and what kind of residential environment should be built in the future. First of all, we should consider about what is a current situation of residential environment in this country before beginning researching resident preferences. In addition, we will also research current and new residential style in other country, which should be concerned in. Finally, this study is researched by domestic male and female residents in their twenties and four ties on purpose to gain information what type of resident style they want and to suggest new ways of future residential environment.

This paper is made an analysis as to how much influence is affected to the residential satisfaction by information search and expectancy conformity/nonconformity. The above mentioned analysis results in that information search and expectancy conformity/nonconformity appear to be influential factors to explain the residential satisfaction after purchase. Especially, the more the expectancy of pre-purchase and the performance of post-purchase equal, the higher the residential satisfaction. In addition, even if a slight difference emerges in the domain of the residential satisfaction, it appears that the more information search is conducted, the higher the residential satisfaction and information from salesman or reference group affect on the expectancy conformity/nonconformity. When purchasing housing, to search more information shows that the expectancy of pre-purchase gets close to the performance of the post-purchase, that is to say, to the positive residential satisfaction.

주택원가지수는 주택건설사업에 투입되는 각종 자원들의 물가변동을 단일지수 형태로 표현한 자료로 이를 통하여 주택원가의 가격변동 수준에 대한 적정성을 판단할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 국내 기초 통계자료에 대한 검토결과를 토대로 주택원가지수를 작성할 수 있는 방법을 검토하고 사례연구를 통하여 주택원가지수를 제시하였다 본 연구에서 제시한 지수를 활용함으로써 주택건설 원가의 변동을 용이하게 파악하며 공사비 실적자료의 활용성 제고를 위한 기반을 제공하고자 한다.

The Purpose of this study is to estimate how inclination to move can be appeared by understanding the cognition of a resident on stress due to the residential environment. 240 housewives living in Chiniu were Questioned statistical analysis were used with factor analysis, F-test. Duncan's Multiple range analysis, stepwise regression analysis and stepwise discriminant analysis, The result were summarized as follows 1) The stress of residential environment were clissified by six factors indoor facility, educational environmental. indoor structure, air Pollution noise, traffic convenience. 2) The extent of a stress from residential environment was significantly different in the socio-demographic variable and housing-related variable. 3) The stress of residential environment were affected by the direction of house. 4) The variable discriminating inclination to move were the stress of residential environment(air Pollution). an educational level, the type of housing possession, residential Period and the size of house.

Our residential architecture and furniture have developed their unique formative characteristics under the influence of the natural environment as well as under socio-cultural influence. In order to understand such characteristics of our residential architecture and furniture, we need to clarify similarities and differences through comparative study from various perspectives. The present study purposed to examine the effects of mutual relations among Yangban's residential architecture and their furniture in the Chosun Dynasty on their formative characteristics, to identify the formative characteristics of shapes, materials, colors, patterns and decorations found in the residential architecture and their furniture, and to make a comparative analysis of the formative characteristics of the residential buildings and their furniture. This research will provide a ground for reinterpreting our culture and help to apply Korean culture identity to today's interior and furniture design.

The Purpose of this study was to identify the effects of the elderly Koreans of residential relocation and to find their conditioning variables that mediate some of the negative effects of residential relocation. The research was performed by questionnares. Subject samples consisted of 448 elderly individuals who have lived for two years or less in one of the two new residential communities in commuting proximity with Seoul: Ilsan or Bundang. Two variables measured for the life of the elderly to residential relocation were the change of the social relationship network and the change of the depression level. Results indicated that the relocation had a substantial disrupting effect on the social network of the elderly. The level of depression of the subjects after relocation was decresed. It was also found that the effects of the elderly to residential relocation was mainly affected by physical factors of environment and residential satisfaction.

With its rapid modernization and the unparalleled rate at which its society is aging, South Korea faces the need for a dramatic increase in its supply of nursing homes. Among the spacial components of nursing homes, residential units are considered as an essential part because the older person in nursing homes usually spend most of their time in residential units and the nursing homes are mainly composed of various residential units. It is necessary, therefore, to prepare a guideline for the plan of residential units in order to design the healthy and efficient nursing homes. This paper has first identified the concept of residential unit and analyzed 55 cases in the 51 nursing homes from 4 countries. On the basis of this analysis, architectural prototypes of residential units have been proposed and the architectural characteristics of them have been compared analytically.

The purpose of this study was to survey the residential satisfaction of the residents who lives in Bundang in order to offer the information helpful to housing designers and housing policy makers. Documentary research and questionnaire survey methods were used in this research. The sample was taken from 320 the residents living in Bundang. Data were analyzed with the SPSS PC+window version. The results were as follows: 1) residents were satisfied with rather their housing unit than residential environment, 2) there is significant difference the evaluation of residential satisfaction according to the age of husband and wife, the educational level of wife, 3) there is significant difference the evaluation of residential satisfaction according to living area, housing type, housing size. homeownership, living period
