The incidence of gastric cancer has steadily declined and the overall mortality rate from gastric cancer has similarly decreased. However, compared to other malignancies, the quality of life and life expectancy remain relatively poor in patients with gastric cancer. For gastric cancers, surgical resection is the main treatment, but the optimal therapeutic strategy for locally advanced gastric cancer remains undefined. For many patients with gastric cancer, not only chemotherapy but also radiotherapy plays a crucial role in both the curative and palliative settings. In this article, we review the evidence for the different treatment paradigms with a particular focus on the role of radiotherapy.

Objectve : Recent stuides suggested that there is a strong correlation between acupuncture stimulation and its cortical activation. Another study showed that either positive or negative BOLD effects could be observed depending on anatomical structure in acupuncture. Methods : 1) Subjects and paradigms: Two separate stimulation paradigms were performed in this study. To see the effects of electro-acupuncture stimulation on K7(Fuliu), the experiment was carried out on six healthy volunteers, using the gradient echo sequence with the 3.0T whole-body MRI system(ISOL). After the needle insertion on right K7(Fuliu), 2 Hz of electric stimulation was given for 30 seconds, repeated five times, with 30 seconds' intervals. During the intervals while there was no electro-stimulation, the subjects performed motor task as a reference. The image analysis including motion correction, talairach transformation, and smoothing was done using SPM99. Results: The electro-acupuncture stimulation on K7(Fuliu) activated Brodmann's Areas of 9, 19, 23, 24, 31, 32, 39 which may be the central pathways of the electro-acupuncture stimulation on K7(Fuliu) and those brain areas may be related with the function of the electro-acupuncture stimulation on K7(Fuliu).

본 연구는 대학생 자원봉사자의 봉사활동과 관련된 다양한 패러다임과 그 양상을 알아보고자 했다. 자료수집은 2008년 8월부터 2009년 4월까지 총 여섯 차례에 걸쳐 이루어졌다. 서울 및 경북지역에서 활동하는 평균 연령 23세(남 24세, 여 22세)의 대학생 자원봉사자 총 23명(남: 10명, 여: 13명)을 대상으로 면접을 실시하였으며, 그 자료를 근거이론적 방법으로 분석하였다. 분석은 개방코딩(open coding), 축코딩(axial coding), 선택코딩(selective coding)으로 이루어졌다. 개방코딩 결과, 119개의 개념과 41개의 하위범주, 16개의 상위범주가 도출되었으며, 자원봉사자들의 봉사활동 과정을 패러다임별로 구분하였다. 축코딩 결과는 심리적 동기, 사회적 맥락, 개인 인식, 실천 활동, 심리적 반응, 심리적 결과의 6가지 패러다임으로 구성하여 상위범주들로 도식화하였고, 범주의 본질은 '자발적 봉사활동자의 활동 유형은 단순실천, 자기본위, 공동체추구의 세 가지 유형으로 분화 된다'라고 할 수 있다. 마지막으로, 자발적 자원봉사자들의 단순실천형, 자기본위형, 공동체추구형 범주에 따라 특징을 설명하고, 이러한 결과를 자원봉사활동 연구 의의와 그 제한점에 관련해서 논의하였다.

Interactive space became one of the modern contemporary society design paradigms. For elevating the interactive effect, we need Interactive design development which uses the influential factors on the interactivity. Digital technology is resulted in a change to a society as well as to the life of human and its way of communication. This study is inquiry into the relations and the common characteristics between ecological architecture space and eco-centric environmental philosophy by making a comparative research. This aims to examine type of spatial contexts for performed through literature research for theory by interactive space and case studies for ecological construction elements to design. And the range of case study is limited to interaction space in addition of interactive elements and user interface. And analysis conclusion is show the many type. Five principles that draw at ecological design conceptualization process, whole unity, variety of organic at ecological design conceptualization process, circularity, homeostasis, allness, biological evolution, diversity have involved with concept that presents in ecological esthetics and organic property of ecology-system.

Pluralistic and diverse values exist in the realm of post modernism society. In this context, one particular outlook does not have the same meaning across the whole society. The creation and sharing of a new meaning do not necessarily need the consent of every member of the society. There have been a few attempts to delve into the relationship between sociocultural phenomenon and fashion trends in the pluralistic cultures. However, there has been little research on the theoretical framework in order to analyze a pluralistic phenomenon itself. The purpose of this study is to provide the theoretical paradigms to analyze and interpret various pluralistic phenomena in postmodernism fashion. Theories developed by Gilles Deleuze have been utilized to analyze and interpret the duct tape fashion which is in vogue among the young generation in the USA. The analysis based on the paradigm of Gilles indicates that the duct tape fashion shows pluralistic features of as in the other postmodern cultural activities.

The MPI CyberMotion Simulator provides a unique motion platform, as it features an anthropomorphic robot with a large workspace, combined with an actuated cabin and a linear track for lateral movement. This paper introduces the simulator as a tool for studying human perception, and compares its characteristics to conventional Stewart platforms. Furthermore, an experimental evaluation is presented in which multimodal human control behavior is studied by identifying the visual and vestibular responses of participants in a roll-lateral helicopter hover task. The results show that the simulator motion allows participants to increase tracking performance by changing their control strategy, shifting from reliance on visual error perception to reliance on simulator motion cues. The MPI CyberMotion Simulator has proven to be a state-of-the-art motion simulator for psychophysical research to study humans with various experimental paradigms, ranging from passive perception experiments to active control tasks, such as driving a car or flying a helicopter.

This paper focuses on issues in the convergence of library and information science and communication studies. Common research topics in both fields include scholarly communication, knowledge gaps, invisible colleges, diffusion of innovations, human interaction with communication technologies, information-seeking behavior, information theory, and the information society. To consider these two disciplines in this broader context, this paper compares these two discipline's paradigms, suggests four models of convergence, and traces bibliometric studies performed. This study may be of use to those studying scholarly communication or bibliometrics, to faculty constructing curricula in either of the disciplines, to communication and information science scholars seeking new areas of research, and to collection development librarians in drawing the boundaries of these disciplines.

The emergence of computer-based information society has fundamentally changed the paradigms of everyday human life and will continue its trend in the 21st century when resources of information technology become more and more important because they can be directly transformed into military use. Future warfare will include such high-tech weapon systems as precision-guided munitions and satellite. But, with the spread of internet and advances in information technology, cyber space appears to be resources can be deciding factor in winning future war. In this paper we proposed to identify core information technology in national defense, improve mobilizing method of information resources in time of crisis, come up with combat effective measures utilizing information technology by estimating future information technological developments.

Recently, there are two big paradigm shifts in the global electric power industry. First, the maintenance practice is gradually moved from time-based activities to reliability-centered activities. On the other hand, asset management is emerging as a new framework to maximize the efficiency of investments. The two paradigms are mutually exclusive in natural. Thus the power utilities usually chose the investment alternative on the basis of reliability in the past. But today's changed business environment - competition -requires the power utilities to compromise the trade-off of reliability effects and economics of investments. This paper shows what and how to interpret the reliability effects of distribution system investments into financial indicators beneficial for power utilities's managers to make decision on the perspective of corporate value.

본 연구의 목적은 질적 연구방법 교과목의 교육내용에 관한 기초자료를 제시하여 문헌정보학 대학원 과정의 질적 연구방법 교과목 개발에 일조하고자 한다. 국내 대학원에서 개설하고 있는 76편의 질적 연구방법 교과목 강의계획서의 내용분석을 통하여 질적 연구방법의 교육 경향을 도출하였다. 이를 근거로 문헌정보학 교육을 위한 핵심내용으로 질적 연구패러다임, 연구설계, 다양한 질적 연구 유형, 자료수집과 분석의 다양성, 글쓰기, 질적 연구의 평가준거를 제시하고 교수전략을 논하였다. 좋은 질적 연구를 수행하고 개발하기 위해서는 순환적, 창조적, 성찰적인 연구 실제가 가능하도록 교육해야 할 것이다. 이를 위해서는 질적 연구의 토대로서 질적 연구의 다양한 패러다임과 철학적 이론적 전통을 이해하는 것이 선행되어야 한다. 질적 연구자는 자신의 질적 입장(qualitative stance)을 인식하고 질적 연구를 행하는 것이 매우 중요하다.
