한 대학병원의 진료과별 업무성과 평가 도구 개발 과정 (Development of Performance Evaluation Protocols for Physicians in a University Hospital)

  • Background : Performance evaluation of medical care providers has become more important than before in Korea. Especially in university hospitals, job contents of medical staffs are so complicated that evaluation is not easily performed. In addition, in order that the feedback of evaluation be successful, acceptance of staffs to be evaluated is essential. This study is aimed at the development of items for evaluation and weighting of each item in one university hospital, and clustering departments by different weight given by medical staffs. Methods : Through resource group meeting. performance items were listed up by categories of education, research, medical services, and other activities in and out of the hospital. For each item, all the medical staffs were asked how important they thought, compared with publishing one original article. By factor analysis, the items in each category were grouped into a few subgroups. In turn, cluster analysis was done for the purpose of grouping departments by priority the medical staffs gave. Results and Conclusion : Among five major categories, medical staffs regard education, research, and medical services more important than other activities in and out of the hospital. Five categories consisted of two or three components. Departments in hospital were grouped into three. However, characteristics of each group was not clearly delineated. This result suggests that more comprehensive tool should be developed and applied in the process of performance evaluation in university hospitals.

Evaluating the Services of the Deanship of e-Learning and Distance Education at Umm Al-Qura University According to the Opinions of Beneficiaries (Students/Faculty Members)

  • This research was conducted with the aim to appraise the level of satisfaction of students and faculty members with the services of the Deanship of e-Learning and Distance Education at Umm Al-Qura University. In addition, it investigated any differences arising between the evaluation of students and faculty members for these services owing to their gender..To achieve these goals, a descriptive analysis methodology was used in this research. The sample comprised 1357 students (704 male and 653 female) and 372 faculty members (208 male and 164 female) from Umm Al-Qura University in the academic year 2020-2021. To collect the requisite data, the study participants were asked to complete a 5-point Likert scale questionnaire, and the validity and reliability of the data were then assessed. The findings revealed the existence of a high level of satisfaction of students and faculty members with the services of Deanship of e-Learning and Distance Education at Umm Al-Qura University. There are no statistically significant differences between the mean scores of students (male/female) at Umm Al-Qura University in evaluating the said services. Furthermore, there are no statistically significant differences between the mean scores of faculty members (male/female) at Umm Al-Qura University in evaluating these. There exist statistically significant differences between the mean scores of faculty members and students in the evaluation of the services of the Deanship for the benefit of faculty members.

AHP를 활용한 우리나라 예선서비스 품질평가 모형 개발 연구 (Development of Quality Evaluation Model for Tug Service in Korea using AHP)

  • 예선서비스는 항만 안전 확보를 위해 필수적인 서비스이다. 하지만, 상대적으로 낮은 예선시장 진입장벽으로 인해, 예선업체의 수는 증가하였으며, 이에 업체 간 과당경쟁 발생과 서비스의 질적 저하에 대한 우려가 높아지고 있다. 이를 해결하기 위해 예선업자에 대한 서비스 품질평가 제도 마련이 시급하지만, 아직까지 본격적인 시행은 요원한 상황이다. 본 연구의 목적은 예선서비스의 품질 향상과 함께 공공재적 성격을 강화하기 위한 수단으로 인식되는 예선서비스 평가 제도의 시행을 위해 실제적으로 적용이 가능한 예선서비스 품질평가 모형을 개발하는 것이다. 이를 위해 문헌 및 사례연구, 전문가 인터뷰 등을 통해 2개의 대분류와 8개의 중분류, 25개의 세부 평가지표로 구성된 평가모형을 개발하였으며, AHP 분석을 시행하여 평가 항목의 상대적인 중요도를 도출하고 배점의 근거를 마련하였다. 분석 결과, 경영평가보다는 이용자만족도의 가중치가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 경영평가의 세부지표별 가중치는 시설관리-경영관리-재무건전성 순으로 나타나 서비스에 직접적으로 활용하는 시설의 관리가 중요한 것으로 분석되었다. 이용자만족도는 안전성-정시성-서비스만족도-편리성-투명성 순으로 나타나 안전성 확보가 최우선이며, 예선서비스 제공을 위한 프로세스의 편리성과 투명성보다 안전성과 정시성 같은 서비스 본연의 품질 개선이 우선적으로 필요한 것으로 분석되었다.

보건소 기능의 중요도에 따른 자원배분의 적절성 평가 (The evaluation of the appropriateness of resource allocation in a community health center)

  • This study was performed to evaluate the appropriateness of resource allocation based on the ranking of health center function. Through the Delphi processes, health center functions were ranked in order of importance as follows; planning and research, followed by health education, health promotion, management of chronic diseases, health screening tests, welfare activities, mental health services, medical personnel management, medical services, prevention of communicable diseases, maternal and infant health services, housekeeping, management of oral hygiene, nutrition services, surveillance for community health services, family planning, and administration of the health center. In relation to the above priorities, the allocation of manpower was not appropriate. Even though the expert groups emphasized on functions such as planning and research, health education, and health promotion, they inputted more personnel for administration of a health center, maternal and infant health services, and medical services which were evaluated with lower importance. The budget allocation showed the same trends as the above. Although the functions such as planning and research, health education, and health promotion, and management of chronic diseases were evaluated highly, the budget was allocated accordingo to the the results of the former fiscal year rather than on the importance of function. However the budget for nutrition services, surveillance for the community health services, family planning, and administration of a health center was allocated according to priority. Based upon the above findings, community health center should be given the opportunity to make their own ranking of health center function and to allocate their resources including personnel and budget in order to improve the responsibilities and roles of the community health center.

원료 배합 및 소금 농도에 따른 대맥장의 품질 특성 (Quality Characteristics of Black Soybean Paste (Daemacjang) with Mixture Ratio of Black Soybean, Barley and Salt Concentration)

  • This study investigated the quality characteristics of black soybean paste(Daemacjang) with black soybean content and salt concentration. The total acidity increased as the pH decreased during fermentation period. The amino-type nitrogen content of all samples increased significantly during fermentation time. Total cell counts was not significantly different during fermentation, and mold counts decreased at 3 log cycles. The cell counts of lactic acid bacteria decreased approximately 2 to 3 log cycles in 10% salt concentration (treat B and C), and were not detected in treat A and D. Total polyphenol contents of treat A, B, and C were 42.77%, 52.99% and 52.95% during fermentation up to 70days, respectively, which was higher than D (39.86%). In a sensory evaluation, treat B showed the highest scores for overall acceptability.

연구기록의 웹 기반 정보서비스 평가 지표 개발 및 적용 - NTIS 사례를 중심으로 - (Developing and Applying the Evaluation Measures for Web based Information Services of Research Records Archives - Focused on NTIS -)

  • 웹의 발전과 함께 연구기록의 보존 가치와 잠재적 활용 가치가 부각되기 시작하면서 웹을 활용한 연구기록의 정보서비스가 다양해지고 있다. 이에 따라 현재 제공되고 있는 연구기록의 웹 기반 정보서비스에 대한 평가를 통해 현재 상황을 점검해보고 향후 발전 방향에 대한 논의가 필요하다. 이에 본 연구에서는 연구기록의 특성을 반영한 웹 기반 정보서비스 평가 지표를 개발하고 이를 적용해 봄으로써 그 타당성을 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 DigiQUAL과 NDSLQual을 분석하여 기록정보서비스 유형별 평가 요소를 도출하고 연구기록을 활용한 정보서비스의 특징이 반영된 평가 지표를 개발하였다. 개발한 평가 지표의 효용성을 검증하기 위해 NTIS를 사례로 들어 적용, 그 결과를 분석함으로써 NTIS에서 제공하는 연구기록의 정보서비스에 대한 문제점을 찾고 이를 위한 개선방안에 대해 제시하였다.

Development and evaluation of a model for management of plant pests in organic cucumber cultivation

  • Crop protection strategies in organic horticulture aim to prevent insect pest and plant disease problems through utilization of non-chemical based control means. In order to develop a model for management of plant diseases and insects in organic cucumber cultivation, we compared efficacies between chemical pesticide spraying system and biological control means in semi-forcing and retarding cucumber cultivation during 2005 and 2006. Conventional chemical spray program using various chemical pesticides was applied 5 - 10 days intervals, while two different non-chemical pesticide application programs using two formulated biopesticides Topseed$^{TM}$ and Q-fect$^{TM}$, Suncho$^{TM}$, and Sangsungje$^{TM}$ (biocontrol agents 1) and using egg-yolk and cooking oil(EYCO), Bordeaux mixture, Suncho$^{TM}$, and Sangsungje$^{TM}$ (biocontrol agents 2) were applied 5 - 7 days intervals during entire cucumber cultivation period. Efficacy of both biocontrol agents programs was effective to comparable to conventional chemical pesitice spray program to control plant diseases such as powdery mildew and downy mildew as well as insect pests such as aphids and thrips which are known as major threats in cucumber organic cultivation. In this study, we established and evaluated an effective and economic crop protection strategy using various biological resources can be used to control plant diseases and pests simultaneously in organic cucumber cultivation field.

Deriving an Overall Evaluation Index with Multiple CTQs in Six Sigma Management

  • Evaluation indices for products or services are important to improve the internal process of the company and to compare those with competitive ones. The sigma level in Six Sigma management does important role to evaluate the core characteristic, CTQ(Critical To Quality), derived in the considered product/service or process. In this research, we propose an overall evaluation index for the product/service or process with multiple characteristics, in other words, multiple CTQs. The proposed overall evaluation index is useful for the cases that the single CTQ is not enough to evaluate the practical interests, for example, the final products and services with complex procedures and relatively large scaled processes. This approach is discussed with sigma level for applying Six Sigma Projects, however, it is applicable to indices based on proportion or percentage as well. The practical examples with a manufacturing process and a customer survey based on focus group interview are given for illustrations.

아로니아 와인의 품질 특성 및 휘발성 향기성분 (Quality Characteristics and Volatile Flavor Components of Aronia Wine)

  • This study investigated the quality characteristics and volatile flavor components of aronia wine (Aronia melanocarpa (0~100%)). After 12 days of fermentation, the alcohol contents of aronia wines ranged between 9.0~12.0%. The pH level and total acidity of aronia wines were 3.20~3.68 and 0.57~0.76 g/100 mL, respectively. The organic acid analysis of wine containing 100% aronia, revealed malic acid content at 3.70 mg/mL, followed by tartaric acid, lactic acid, and citric acid. As the aronia content increased, both the total polyphenol content and the antioxidant activity (the DPPH radical scavenging activity) also significantly increased. The total polyphenol content was the highest in the wine with 100% aronia (461.33 mg%), and the antioxidant activity showed the highest values in the wine with 100% aronia (91.91%). Volatile flavor component analysis of aronia wines identified 8 alcohols, 12 esters, 4 ketones, and 7 other compounds. In the sensory evaluation, the color, flavor, and taste of wine with 20% aronia showed higher values than other aronia wines. Based on the results of the present study, we suggest that 20% aronia is most beneficial in improving the quality as well as sensory characteristics of the wine.

도시공원의 생태계서비스 평가지표 개발 및 측정가능성 검토 (Development and Feasibility of Indicators for Ecosystem Service Evaluation of Urban Park)

  • 도시에서의 인간의 삶의 질은 생태계에 의존하고 있으며, 삶의 질에 기여하는 생태계서비스를 평가하는 것은 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 도시에서 제공하는 다양한 생태계서비스 중 도시공원에서 제공하는 생태계서비스에 대한 평가항목 및 평가지표를 도출하고 이를 수원시 도시공원에 시범적용하여 지표의 측정가능성을 검토하고자 한다. 문헌연구를 통해 생태계서비스 평가항목 및 지표 목록을 추출하고 전문가 대상 2차례 델파이 조사를 실시하여 지표별 적합성을 평가하였다. 평가결과 도시공원은 공급, 조절, 지원, 문화서비스 전체 분야에 대해 생태계서비스를 제공하는 것으로 나타났다. 공급서비스에서는 식량생산성과 수자원을 제시하였으며, 조절서비스에서는 대기오염물질 제거, 홍수 및 폭풍피해 저감, 소음저감, 열섬저감, 토양질 유지, 지원서비스에서는 생태네트워크와 생물다양성 유지, 문화서비스에서는 운동, 휴식, 교육 및 사회활동의 평가항목을 제시하여 총 12개 평가항목과 14개의 평가지표를 도출하였다. 도출된 평가항목과 지표를 토대로 수원시 내 도시공원 두 곳에 시범적용하여 지표의 측정가능성을 검토하였다. 본 연구결과 도시공원의 생태계서비스 평가항목을 통해 도시의 생태계서비스 및 생물다양성 현황을 진단하는 기틀을 마련하였으며, 도시에서의 생태계서비스를 높이기 위한 방안을 제안하였다. 향후 도시차원에서 생태계서비스 지역평가, 생태계서비스 총량 및 균등분배에 관한 전략 수립과 연계할 필요가 있다.
