  • As the vehicle components are various, we confront unexpected problems in the development and application of them. also warranty expenses occur in the result of unconfirmed warranty.in this paper, to solve the problems of disconnection of damper Strut cable, we applied the optimum conditions through taguchi method for improvement of durability. and we made standard of reliability by weibull analysis of the field data. we acquired reliability standard by correlation with lab data and confirmed improved components satisfying the target of reliability. The analysis of reliability by field data is very useful and we need to apply this method to other components, the correlation between field data and Lab Test has influence on satisfying the target of reliability.this method would be utilized for current mass production components and upcoming developed components. the reliability of durability should be continuously used in the basis of primary technique in cope with competitive automotive companies.

  • The piezoelectric transformer have attracted a lot of interest in recent years because of their potential applications in electronic devices. However, their reliability in practical applications has not been systematically studied. For many piezoelectric materials, the temperature reliability are among the biggest concerns. This paper presents an experimental study of the piezoelectric transformers with the focus on its reliability under varying temperature conditions.

  • In recents years, the statistical properties has become an important quantity for reliability based design of a component. The effects of the materials and test conditions for parameter estimation in residual strength degradation model are studied in carbon/epoxy laminate. It is shown that the correlation between the experimental results and the theoretical prediction on the fatigue life distribution using the life distribution convergence method is very reasonable.

Optimum time-censored ramp soak-stress ALT plan for the Burr type XII distribution

  • Accelerated life tests (ALTs) are extensively used to determine the reliability of a product in a short period of time. Test units are subject to elevated stresses which yield quick failures. ALT can be carried out using constant-stress, step-stress, progressive-stress, cyclic-stress or random-stress loading and their various combinations. An ALT with linearly increasing stress is ramp-stress test. Much of the previous work on planning ALTs has focused on constant-stress, step-stress, ramp-stress schemes and their various combinations where the stress is generally increased. This paper presents an optimal design of ramp soak-stress ALT model which is based on the principle of Thermal cycling. Thermal cycling involves applying high and low temperatures repeatedly over time. The optimal plan consists in finding out relevant experimental variables, namely, stress rates and stress rate change points, by minimizing variance of reliability function with pre-specified mission time under normal operating conditions. The Burr type XII life distribution and time-censored data have been used for the purpose. Burr type XII life distribution has been found appropriate for accelerated life testing experiments. The method developed has been explained using a numerical example and sensitivity analysis carried out.

  • BLDC(Brushless Direct Current) motor is a powerful device to control the automotive electronic components used in green cars such as HEV/EVs(Hybrid Electric Vehicle and Electric Vehicle). This study is to propose reliability test items derived through pretesting, suitability analysis abd classification of previous BLDC motor tests. For environmental stress tests are determined by analysing environmental conditions and relevant failure mechanisms induced by climate loads, mechanical loads, chemical loads, etc. ATL and HALT are also considered for life testing and screening.

가족부담감 측정도구의 신뢰도와 타당도 (The Reliability and Validity of Family Burden Questionnaire)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to test the reliability and validity of Family Burden Questionnaire. Method: The subjects were 156 caregivers of children with acute or chronic disease. To test the reliability, internal consistency using Cronbach's α coefficient was analyzed, and factor analysis, known-group technique, and concurrent validity were utilized for validity test. Result: Cronbach's α coefficient of the tool was .89. Six factors were identified and explained 58.7% of the total variance. Through analysis using known-group technique, the difference of family burden between acute and chronic disease groups was statistically significant(t= -4.09, p<.001). Correlations with mood state, other family burden score by Family Burden Interview Schedule, quality of life, and health symptoms were also relatively high and statistically significant. Conclusion: Family Burden Questionnaire showed a relatively high validity and reliability to measure the burden of caregivers caring patients with various chronic conditions in Korea. For the further study, it may be reconsidered to identify the factor structure of the Family Burden Questionnaire with the various subjects from different age groups.

파괴적 가속열화시험 데이터의 분산가정에 따른 수명비교 (Comparison of Storage Lifetimes by Variance Assumption using Accelerated Degradation Test Data)

  • Estimating reliability of a non-repairable system using the degradation data, variance assumption such as homogeneity (constant) or heteroscedasticity (time-variant) could affect accuracy of reliability estimation. This paper showed reliability estimation and comparison results under normal conditions using accelerated degradation data obtained from destructive measurements, according to variance assumption of the data at each measurement time. Degradation data from three accelerated conditions with stress factors of temperature and humidity were used to estimate reliability. The $B_{10}$ lifetime was estimated as 1243.8 years by constant variance assumption, and 18.9 years by time-variant variance. And variance assumption provided different analysis results of important stresses to reliability. Thus, accurate assumption of variance at each measurement time is required when estimating reliability using degradation data of a non-repairable system.

  • The environmental tests are one of the key branches of the reliability tests. The purpose of the high/low environmental test of KT-1 Export Version Trainer is not only based on meeting the compliance of the reliability, customer satisfaction, but also for the expansion of its export. Amongst many existing environmental tests, the high and low temperature tests are considered as the two most important tests. The tests are considered and tailored to the high and low temperature methods of MIL-STD-810H. This paper proposes the tailoring processes and the results of High/Low temperature conditions, test procedures, and test profiles for the aircraft. Additionally, this paper is described by considering the view of MIL-STD-810H.

Quantitative Reliability Assessment for Safety Critical System Software

  • At recent times, an essential issue in the replacement of the old analogue I&C to computer-based digital systems in nuclear power plants becomes the quantitative software reliability assessment. Software reliability models have been successfully applied to many industrial applications, but have the unfortunate drawback of requiring data from which one can formulate a model. Software that is developed for safety critical applications is frequently unable to produce such data for at least two reasons. First, the software is frequently one-of-a-kind, and second, it rarely fails. Safety critical software is normally expected to pass every unit test producing precious little failure data. The basic premise of the rare events approach is that well-tested software does not fail under normal routine and input signals, which means that failures must be triggered by unusual input data and computer states. The failure data found under the reasonable testing cases and testing time for these conditions should be considered for the quantitative reliability assessment. We presented the quantitative reliability assessment methodology of safety critical software for rare failure cases in this paper.

  • High reliability of automatic speaker recognition regardless of voice conditions is necessary for forensic application. Audio recordings in real cases are not consistent in voice conditions, such as duration, time interval of recording, given text or conversational speech, transmission channel, etc. In this study the variation of verification error rate of ASR system with the voice conditions was investigated. As a result in order to decrease both false rejection rate and false acception rate, the various voices should be used for training and the duration of train voices should be longer than the test voices.
