Lighting industry is rapidly being developed as the ubiquitous society based on sensor network emerges. This kind of paradigm shift brings the society convergence of technologies which leads to smart lighting system as well as the integration of interior and sensibility control. However, standards for sensors have not been firmly established, and problems related to quality and malfunction have been brought up, thereby calling for careful approach to the enhancement and assessment of reliability of the item. In this article reliability assessment criteria for sensor module for lighting fixtures is established in terms of performance assessment criterion and reliability assessment criterion.

The purpose of the study was to verify validity and reliability of performance assessment in home economics by applying performance assessment tools developed by Korean Curriculum Assessment Institute and by the researcher to a class of 17 high school female students in a rural area. For the purpose of this study, the research question was formulated and addressed:“How are the validity and reliability of performance assessment in home economics\ulcorner” The results of the study were as follows. 1. The results of testing validity a. Thirteen high school home economics teachers, whose average teaching years is ten years verified high validity in the contents of performance assessment. b. In the validity of the items that is verified being based on the scores of high school entrance examination of 2000 school year, the essay type showed its characteristics as performance assessment. c. The generalizability among assessment methods was not high. 2. The results of testing reliability Both Cronbach's $\alpha$, inter-item reliability of the assessment tools used in the research, and reliability among the raters were high. But reliability among the tasks was relatively low. This study proposed that the diverse performance methods, the increasing number of assessment, the explicit assessment criterion, and scoring criterion are needed to satisfying validity and reliability of performance assessment.

본 연구에서는 과학교육에서 수행평가의 올바를 사용과 정착을 위하여 과학 수행평가문항의 선정과 제작을 위한 평가준거를 개발하였다. 이를 위하여 과학과 평가목표 및 수행평가에 대한 이론적 논의를 통해 평가준거의 대범주로 평가 목표의 충실도(Fidelity), 수행평가의 특징과 구성 요소에 대한 만족도(Satisfaction), 문학의 내용 타당도 (Content Validity), 학습자에 대한 내용의 적합도 및 공정성(Suitability & Fairness), 문항의 신뢰도와 객관도(Reliability & Objectivity), 사용상의 편의성 및 실용성(Usability)의 6가지 범주를 개발하였고, 각 대범주별 하위항목을 선정하여, 총 25개의 하위 항목을 가진 평가준거표를 개발하였다. 그리고 개발된 평가준거표의 타당도는 과학교육 연구자 5명의 안면타당도로 보았고, 신뢰도 3가지 종류의 과학 수행평가문항을 과학교육 전문가 2명가 초등예비교사 6명이 평가하고, 그 결과를 Kendall계수를 통한 평가자간 합치도로 검증하였다. 그 결과 합치도는 통계적으로 유의한 수준으로 나타났다. 이상의 과정을 통하여 최종적인 평가준거표를 완성하여 제시하였다.

In this article reliability standards for wiper motors are established in terms of quality certification test and failure rate test.

Printed circuit boards for RAM are widely used in modern electronics such as computers, artificial satellites and consumer durables. They are exposed to a very diverse environment and consists of many complicated components and therefore needs careful approach to the enhancement and assessment of reliability of the item. In this article reliability standards for PCBs for RAM are established in terms of quality certification tests and failure rate tests.

Purpose: Oral mucositis (OM) is a serious consequence of chemotherapy that cancer patients must undergo. The objectives of this study were to find out reliability and validity of patients self-reported daily questionnaires on OM, and the impact OM makes on daily functions. Method: To test the reliability of oral mucositis daily questionnaire (OMDQ), internal consistency of the instrument (Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ and correlation between items) and test-retest reliability were analyzed. Criterion validity and discriminative validity were evaluated using WHO, oral assessment guide, and Nicolatou assessment tool. Forty-eight acute leukemic patients under chemotherapy were enrolled in this study. Result: The Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ coefficient indicated sufficient internal consistency. Correlations of Mouth and throat soreness (MTS) and MTSActivity Limitations (MTS-AL) were statistically significant. MTS and MTS-AL scores on consecutive days were highly correlated (days13,14=.84-.96; test-retest reliability). OMDQ scale had high criterion validity and discriminative validity. Patients with more severe WHO OM grades had higher MTS mean scores. Conclusion: Oral mucositis in acute leukemic patients under going chemotherapy can be easily quantified by patient self-administered OMDQ with reliability and validity.

Purpose: This study was conducted to assess the reliability and validity of the Korean version of the Coping and Adaptation Processing Scale-Short- Form in patients with cancer. Methods: The original scale was translated into Korean using Brislin's translation model. The Korean Short-Form and the Functional Assessment Cancer Therapy-General were administered to 164 Korean patients with cancer using convenience sampling method. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 23.0 and AMOS 23.0. Construct validity, criterion validity, test-retest reliability, and internal consistency reliability of the Korean Coping and Adaptation Processing Scale-Short-Form were evaluated. Results: Exploratory factor analysis supported the construct validity with a four-factor solution that explained 60.6% of the total variance. Factor loadings of the 15 items on the four subscales ranged .52~.86. The four-subscale model was validated by confirmatory factor analysis (Normed ${\chi}^2=1.38$ (p=.013), GFI=.92, SRMR=.02, RMSEA=.05, TLI=.94, and CFI=.95), and criterion validity was demonstrated with the Functional Assessment Cancer Therapy-General. Cronbach's alpha for internal consistency of the total scale was .83 and ranged .68~.81 for all subscales, demonstrating sufficient test-retest reliability. Conclusion: The Korean version showed satisfactory construct and criterion validity, as well as internal consistency and test-retest reliability.

Highly curved steel-box bridges are usually constructed as ramp structures for the highway interchange and metropolitan elevated highway junction, but a number of these bridges are deteriorated and damaged to a significant degree due to heavy traffic. The main objective of the study is to develop a practical reliability-based assessment of safety and residual load carrying-capacity of existing curved steel-box ramp bridges. In the paper, for the realistic assessment of safety and residual load carrying-capacity of deteriorated and/or damaged curved steel-box bridges, an interactive non-linear limit state model is formulated based on the von Mises's combined stress yield criterion. It is demonstrated that the proposed model is effective for the assessment of reliability-based safety and the evaluation of residual load carrying-capacity of curved steel-box bridges. In addition, this study comparatively shows the applicability of various reliability analysis methods, and suggests a practical and effective one to be used in practice.

This paper describes the contingency analysis methods which are used in the transmission reliability program, TPLAN. Reliability criterion, reliability assessment, ranking methods, and screening methods are discussed. In addition, a simple 25-bus system was tested with TPLAN and its analyses are presented in this paper.

This paper introduces the characteristics of relationship between probabilistic reliability (LOLE; Loss of Load Expectation) and deterministic reliability (SRR; supply reserve rate) for 2008 year in Korea power system. Korea power system has been using the LOLE criterion to determine the adequacy of installed capacity (ICAP) requirement. The criterion is that load shall not exceed the avaliable capacity, on the average, more than five day in ten years. The probabilistic reliability evaluation and production cost simulation program which is called PPHFHT was used in order to obtain the relationship in this paper.
