This study presents a new beam-column model comprising material nonlinearity and joint flexibility to predict the nonlinear response of reinforced concrete structures. The nonlinear behavior of connections has an outstanding role on the nonlinear response of reinforced concrete structures. In presented research, the joint flexibility is considered applying a rotational spring at each end of the member. To derive the moment-rotation behavior of beam-column connections, the relative rotations produced by the relative slip of flexural reinforcement in the joint and the flexural cracking of the beam end are taken into consideration. Furthermore, the considered spread plasticity model, unlike the previous models that have been developed based on the linear moment distribution subjected to lateral loads includes both lateral and gravity load effects, simultaneously. To confirm the accuracy of the proposed methodology, a simply-supported test beam and three reinforced concrete frames are considered. Pushover and nonlinear dynamic analysis of three numerical examples are performed. In these examples the nonlinear behavior of connections and the material nonlinearity using the proposed methodology and also linear flexibility model with different number of elements for each member and fiber based distributed plasticity model with different number of integration points are simulated. Comparing the results of the proposed methodology with those of the aforementioned models describes that suggested model that only uses one element for each member can appropriately estimate the nonlinear behavior of reinforced concrete structures.

The river sediments were collected from 4 points of Seoknam river, one point of Miho river and one point of the joining area of two rivers. For preparation of sample, three sediment samples were collected for the surface, middle and lower part of the sediment at each sampling point. The elemental concentrations were analyzed by neutron activation analysis using HANARO research reactor at Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute, and the concentrations of 30 elements were determined by the relative method using standard reference material of NIST. As a result of analysis, it was found that when the examination and prediction of contamination distribution about the site where the contamination site of river is connected to the lower river is done, the specific gravity of elements which is contained in the sediment and the speed of a current of river should be considered and also found that when the samples for concentration analysis in the river sediments are collected, for the establishment of regional representatives in samples, the range of sampling depth should be determined considering the specific gravity of elements and the speed of a current.

This study focused on issues of relative importance to the work and family life of married men. The work was carried out to determine, when men are in any category, how to increase their satisfaction with their work and family life. Data from 896 married men with their youngest children under 18 years of age was collected and analyzed. Cluster analysis was performed to classify the categories depending on the relative importance of work as compared to family life. I obtained four types relating to the relative importance of work compared to family life. The results are as follows. First, the score of subjective balance which was perceived by the men was slightly higher than the normal range, at 3.27 points. Second, work-family negative spillover is bigger than family-work negative spillover. On the other hand, family-work positive spillover is bigger than work-family positive spillover. Third, in the category in which the difference is largest between the relative importance of work and family life, the men crave the value of nonwork. It seems that in order to bring a particular gravity to work, there is a possibility that the areas outside of work will be suppressed. Also, in this category, both the satisfaction of family life and job satisfaction were low; this will be a point to consider when discussing the problem of the balance of work and family.
In this study, the operability of an FLBT (floating LNG bunkering terminal) was evaluated experimentally. Model tests were conducted in the KRISO (Korea Research Institute of Ships and Ocean Engineering) ocean engineering basin. An FLBT, an LNG carrier, and two LNG bunkering shuttles were moored side by side with mooring ropes and fenders. Two white-noise wave cases, one irregular wave case, and various regular wave cases were generated. The relative local motions between each LNG loading arm and its corresponding manifold in the initial design configuration were calculated from measured 6-DOF motions at the center of gravity of each of the four vessels. Furthermore, the locations of the LNG loading arms and manifolds were varied to minimize the relative local motions.
This paper describes the feasiblity of recycling sewage dredged soils as fine affrefate. This paper describes the feasibility of recycling sewage dredged soils as fine aggregate. The specific gravity of the dredged soils was smaller than that of sand due to the effect of dredged sludge. However, the grain size distribution of the dredged soils is relative well graded, and the results of the heavy metal concentration from the leaching test of the dredged soils was significantly lower than the requirements of the allowable criteria. Therefore, the effect of recycling of dredged soils on environment the as fine aggregate was negligible. Also, the specific gravity of the dredged and washed soils was similar to that of sand, and the dredged and washed soils for the most part showed lower heavy metal leaching characteristics than those of dredged soils, Also, the results of the study for evaluation the recycling feasibility of dredged and washed soils as fine affrefate. The organic impurity content of the dredged and washed soils was lower than the requirements of the Korean industrial Standards, and the mortar compressive strength using the washdredged soils also met those of the Korean industrial Standards. And, the strengths of the dredged and washed soils were over 95% of those of the NaOH-treated samples. Therefore, it is expected that the dredged soils will be able to be an alternative for fine aggregate.
A large number of available concrete buildings designed only considering gravity load that require seismic rehabilitation because of failure to meet plasticity criteria. Using steel bracings are a common type of seismic rehabilitation. The eccentric bracings with vertical link reduce non-elastic deformation imposed on concrete members as well as elimination of probable buckling problems of bracings. In this study, three concrete frames of 10, 15, and 20 stories designed only for gravity load have been considered for seismic improvement using performance-based plastic design. Afterwards, nonlinear time series analysis was employed to evaluate seismic behavior of the models in two modes including before and after rehabilitation. The results revealed that shear link can yield desirable performance with the least time, cost and number of bracings of concrete frames. Also, it was found that the seismic rehabilitation can reduce maximum relative displacement in the middle stories about 40 to 80 percent. Generally, findings of this study demonstrated that the eccentric bracing with vertical link can be employed as a suitable proxy to achieve better seismic performance for existing high rise concrete frames.

Pressure coefficient in a rotating discharge hole was measured to gain insight into the influence of rotation on the discharge characteristics of rotating discharge holes. Pressures inside the hole were measured by a telemetry system that had been developed by the authors. The telemetry system is characterized by the diversity of applicable sensor type. In the present study, the telemetry system was modified to measure static pressure using piezoresistive pressure sensors. The pressure sensor is affected by centrifugal force and change of orientation relative to the gravity. The orientation of sensor installation for minimum rotating effect and zero gravity effect was found out from the test. Pressure coefficients in a rotating discharge hole were measured in longitudinal direction as well as circumferential direction at various rotating speeds and three different pressure ratios. From the results, the behaviors of pressure coefficient that cannot be observed by a non-rotating setup were presented. It was also shown that the discharge characteristics of rotating discharge hole is much more influenced by the Rotation number irrespective of pressure ratio.
Our previous study used a bar-type reference mirror to measure the relative distance to the target surface. The target measurement accuracy was required to $1{\mu}m$ PV for aspheric optical surface up to 1m in diameter. Earlier system suffers from the reference surface deformation when the measuring part moves. In order to reduce the deformation, measuring part and the reference part separated from each order in the new design. This system utilizes a kinematic support assembly using invar flexure to minimize the reference surface deformation under gravity and vibration. The surface deformation requirement of reference mirror is defined as of $0.2{\mu}m$ under gravity and 40Hz vibration. The finite element results, shows reference mirror deformation of $0.164{\mu}m$. The first resonance mode was computed to analysis 46.05Hz for reference part and 43.44Hz for measuring part. Thesis satisfies the frequency requirement.
This study aims to analyze the factors influencing exports of agricultural products(HS01~HS24) from China to Korea by estimating the gravity model with panel data from 31 provinces in China. The results of the empirical analysis from the panel Tobit model are as follows: The effects of GDP and GDP per capita on agricultural exports are reversed, but their impacts are different on exports of each product, notably HS03, HS07 and HS20. As expected, distance decreases Chinese agricultural exports, and the impact of the relative exchange rate variable is also statistically significant, although it differs from product to product. However, differences in latitude, which considers the heterogeneity of climate and agricultural production conditions between Korea and each Chinese region, does not seem to affect agricultural exports to Korea. The road length, which affects the logistical conditions of each province in China, is not statistically significant either. On the other hand, increases in the number of Chinese visitors to Korea raises the amount of Chinese agricultural exports, including exports of HS03 and HS20. The results also shows that after the Korea-China FTA agreements, agricultural exports have actually decreased, especially exports of non-processed agricultural products, such as HS07.

The global trade partners have been diversified and mixed in agricultural market, which is expended the international agri-food market through the Regional Trade Agreement and World Trade Organization, etc. The aim of this study is to derive influential factors for exports increases of agricultural products targeting to Association of South-East Asian Nations (ASEAN). We set the equation for agricultural products exports referred to panel gravity model considering panel fixed effect for controlling endogeneity within variables. The results of this study are the follows; (1) Social economic distance considering international oil price negatively affects in the mushroom model; (2) Korean GDP affects (-) in a mushroom model and (+) in a vegetable model, however, ASEAN's per capita GDP indicates opposite influence in the same model; (3) Relative exchange rate shows negative impact in a vegetable model; (4) The entry status into WTO and the status in force of FTA have converse effects in mushroom and vegetable model, respectively.
