A Design and Implementation of the Multilingual RDD Registry (다중언어 RDD 레지스트리의 설계 및 구현)

  • This paper deals nth the Multilingual Registry for the Rights Data Dictionary (RDD), which will be used for the semantic representation of rights on digital contents in MPEG-21 framework. The translation of RDD terms owing to different language populations often lacks the desirable precision. The purpose of this paper Is to demonstrate the Multilingual RDD Registry concept to achieve a more precise and interoperable translation of RDD terms among different DRM systems.

  • ebXML[1]은 UN/CEFACT와 OASIS가 주축으로 제정한 전자상거래 국제 표준으로 모든 거래 당사자들에게 상호 운용성, 안전 및 일관성 있는 방법으로 XML 기반의 구조를 제공하여 광범위 한 e-business 정보 사용이 가능하도록 하는 것을 목적으로 한다. ebXML Registry/Repository는 ehXML을 기반으로 한 전자상거래 시스템의 핵심 부분을 구성하며 Browse & Drill Down Query Filter Query와 같은 메커니즘을 기본적으로 제공하고 SQL Query를 선택적으로 지원한다. 본 논문에서 RDBMS상에서 Registry 시스템의 필수 질의 서비스인 Filter Query를 구현하기 위해 SQL로의 변놘 방법을 제안하고 적용 예를 설명한다.

  • 전자상거래의 효율을 도모하기 위하여 사용되어졌던 XML/EDl이 WEB을 이장한 ebXML로 옮겨가고 있다. ebXML Registry/Repository를 의료망에 이용하면 완자의 수고를 덜 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 의료기술, 신장비 등을 거래 할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 현재 각 병원에서 구축되어진 전산망을 전제로 ebXML Registry/Repository를 이용하여 두 병원 간에 문서교환, 신기술, 의료장비 거래를 가능하게 하고자 한다. 이를 위해서 ebXML을 분석하고 그에 맞는 ebXML Registry/Repository를 설계하였다. 인터넷을 기반으로 한 본 시스템은 별도의 소프트웨어나 프로세스를 강요하지 않는다. 그럼으로써 환자들의 수고를 덜고 비용을 줄이는데 기여한다.

  • Recent web environment needs a web service method that can integrate the individual web service. The UDDI registry can accommodate this need by classifying the information of the web service system for an easy retrieval of the information, thus it reduces the time to find a specific web service. Using the basic information search function of the UDDI registry, the web provider can offer various types of information to the client. In this paper, we implemented the process of registering the information to the UDDI registry and retrieving the various types of information from the UDDI registry in a given format.

  • ebXML is a global electronic business standard that is sponsored by UN/CEFACT and OASIS. ebXML is an open XML-based infrastructure enabling the global use of electronic business information in an interoperable, secure and consistent manner by all parties. ebXML Registry provides a stable store where the business information submitted by partners is made persistent and a set of registry services that enable clients of the Registry to access them. These services are tied to the structures defined in ebXML Registry Information Model(ebRIM), so we need a way to process them according to underlying database systems. In this paper, we present the result of developing the ebXML Registry Server based on Relational Database Systems.

  • The Sensor Registry System(SRS) provides sensor metadata to a user for instant use and seamless interpretation of sensor data in a heterogeneous sensor network environment. The existing sensor registry system cannot provide sensor metadata in case that the network connection is not available or is unstable. To resolve the problem, this paper proposes an extension of sensor registry system using network coverage information. The extended system sends a set of sensor metadata to the user by using network coverage open data (mobile vendors, signal strength, communication type). The extended SRS proposed in this paper supports a safer sensor metadata provision than the existing SRS, and it thus improves the quality of application services.

  • A registry is a hierarchy database which is designed to store information necessary for operating system and application programs in Windows operating system, and it is involved in all activities such as booting, logging, service execution, application execution, and user behavior. Digital forensic is widely used. In recent years, malicious codes have penetrated into systems in a way that is not recognized by the user, and valuable information is leaked or stolen, causing financial damages. Therefore, this study proposes a method to detect malicious code by using a shareware application without using expensive digital forensic program, so as to analysis hacking methods and prevent hacking damage in advance.

  • The sensor registry system has been proposed to interpret and process semantics of sensor data independently of heterogeneous sensor networks. However, the existing sensor registry system provides the static processing method. In other words, the existing system reduces the overall performance because it executes unnecessary operations and does not consider data scope to be used. To resolve the problem of the existing sensor registry system, this paper proposes a performance enhancement model based on sensor metadata reusability and scoping. The proposed model in this paper provides a function that can decide a proper scope of sensor metadata from the sensor registry system. The proposed model improves the overall performance by providing reusability of sensor metadata. This paper also shows the advantages of the proposed model through the comparative performance evaluation.

The Development of the Korean Lung Cancer Registry (KALC-R)

  • Lung cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer and the leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide. Globally, there were an estimated 1.8 million new cases and 1.59 million deaths in 2012. In Korea, the incidence of lung cancer is increasing and 24,267 (47.6/100,000) patients with lung cancer were registered at the Korea Central Cancer Registry in 2015. Previous nationwide surveys of lung cancer were performed in 1998 by the Korean Academy of Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases and in 2007 by the Korean Association for Lung Cancer (KALC), but the studies faced difficulties in maintaining lung cancer registry because of limitations regarding the Private Information Protection Act. To produce unbiased and reliable epidemiological data, the KALC and Korean Central Cancer Registry developed a detailed lung cancer registry (KALC-R) data structure. Following a pilot survey of 489 lung cancer cases in 2013, about 10% of the sampled lung cancer cases from the Korean Central Cancer Registry are surveyed each year. With the analysis of detailed data from the KALC-R, an important epidemiological background for scientific research or policy development is expected to be generated.

Blockchain Property Registry and Smart Contract (블록체인 부동산 등기와 스마트계약)

  • Smart contract based on the blockchain technology can be applied to the real estate registry including transactions. The Ethereum coin using multi layered protocol is widely accepted as the token for the smart contract. Block chain smart contract using SOLIDITY or PYTHON can mediate transactions auch as sale or lease, creating various scenarios in the property market. Those smart contract can construct the basis for the blockchain real estate registry, which is expected to overcome conventional transaction costs concerning the national law system, the asymmetric information and the currency exchange. The advantages of blockchain technology, namely security, decentralization, global transparency and openness can be applied to the smart contract system on the property registry. Several countries have advanced such blockchain real estate registry project recently, but no actual implementation has been reported for years, owing to institutional and technological impasses.
