  • 다양한 멀티미디어 서비스에 대한 요구가 증가함에 따라, 영상을 정보전달의 수단으로 사용하기 위한 관련 기술들이 급격히 발전하였다. 그러나 영상의 인지도와 신호 오류에 큰 영향을 미치는 임펄스 잡음은 영상을 디지털화하거나 전송하는 과정에서 여전히 발생하고 있다. 이러한 임펄스 잡음을 제거하기 위해 일반적으로 비선형 필터를 적용하며, SM 필터가 대표적이다. 그러나 SM 필터는 에지성분의 오류로 인해 전체 영상의 품질을 저하시킨다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 임펄스 잡음에 의해 훼손된 영상을 복원하기 위해, Min-max 연산에 기반한 비선형 공간필터를 제안하였으며, 시뮬레이션을 통해 기존의 방법들과 비교하였다.

Robust adaptive fuzzy controller for an inverted pendulum

  • This paper proposes an indirect adaptive fuzzy controller for general SISO nonlinear systems. No a priori information on bounding constants of uncertainties including reconstruction errors and optimal fuzzy parameters is needed. The control law and the update laws for fuzzy rule structure and estimates of fuzzy parameters and bounding constants are determined so that the Lyapunov stability of the whole closed loop system is guaranteed. The computer simulation results for an inverted pendulum system show the performance of the proposed robust adaptive fuzzy controller.

The proposed neural network technique is the real time computation method through the inter-node diffusion, In the network, a node corresponds to a state in the quantized input space. Each node is composed of a processing unit and fixed weights from its neighbor nodes as well as its input terminal. The most reliable algorithm derived for real time recognition of map, is a dynamic programming based algorithm based on sequence matching techniques that would process the data as it arrives and could therefore provide continuously updated neighbor information estimates. Optical Encryption and Information Authentication of 3D Objects Considering Wireless Channel Characteristics

  • In this paper, we present an optical encryption and information authentication of 3D objects considering wireless channel characteristics. Using the optical encryption such as double random phase encryption (DRPE) and 3D integral imaging, a 3D scene with encryption can be transmitted. However, the wireless channel causes the noise and fading effects of the 3D transmitted encryption data. When the 3D encrypted data is transmitted via wireless channel, the information may be lost or distorted because there are a lot of factors such as channel noise, propagation fading, and so on. Thus, using digital modulation and maximum likelihood (ML) detection, the noise and fading effects are mitigated, and the encrypted data is estimated well at the receiver. In addition, using computational volumetric reconstruction of integral imaging and advanced correlation filters, the noise effects may be remedied and 3D information may be authenticated. To prove our method, we carry out an optical experiment for sensing 3D information and simulation for optical encryption with DRPE and authentication with a nonlinear correlation filter. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report on optical encryption and information authentication of 3D objects considering the wireless channel characteristics.

  • 강관튜브를 엑스레이 선원의 방사선에 노출 시, 투과방사선은 통상 필름이나 근래 많이 사용되는 CR의 영상판 등에 검출된다. 검출된 방사선은 대상체의 양면 영역을 중복하여 관통하여 방사선 영상에는 내외부 매질 상태가 겹쳐서 나타나며 동시에 방사선 투과와 기하학적 배치에 기인한 비선형 왜곡이 영상에 반영된다. 본 논문에는 강관튜브 CR영상으로부터 영상을 복원하는 해석적 접근법을 제시한다. 방사선 강도, 매질에서의 흡수 및 방사선 입사에 따른 시준(視準)성분들과 연관된 기하학적 사양 등으로부터 특징 파라미터를 추출하여 원형인 강관튜브의 두 영역에서의 영상을 복원한다. 보정절차를 통해 실제 튜브에 근접한 영역 복구를 설계한다. 이러한 접근법을 CR영상에 적용하여 유용성을 확인한다.

  • This paper proposes an indirect adaptive fuzzy controller for general SISO nonlinear systems. In indirect adaptive fuzzy control, based on the proved approximation capability of fuzzy systems, they are used to capture the unknown nonlinearities of the plant. Until now, most of the papers in the field of controller design for nonlinear system considers the affine system using fuzzy systems which have fixed grid-rule structure. We proposes a dynamic fuzzy rule insertion scheme where fuzzy rule-base grows as time goes on. With this method, the dynamic order of the controller reduces dramatically and an appropriate number of fuzzy rules are found on-line. No a priori information on bounding constants of uncertainties including reconstruction errors and optimal fuzzy parameters is needed. The control law and the update laws for fuzzy rule structure and estimates of fuzzy parameters and bounding constants are determined so that the Lyapunov stability of the whole closed-loop system is guaranteed.

An Improved Fast Camera Calibration Method for Mobile Terminals

  • Camera calibration is an important part of machine vision and close-range photogrammetry. Since current calibration methods fail to obtain ideal internal and external camera parameters with limited computing resources on mobile terminals efficiently, this paper proposes an improved fast camera calibration method for mobile terminals. Based on traditional camera calibration method, the new method introduces two-order radial distortion and tangential distortion models to establish the camera model with nonlinear distortion items. Meanwhile, the nonlinear least square L-M algorithm is used to optimize parameters iteration, the new method can quickly obtain high-precise internal and external camera parameters. The experimental results show that the new method improves the efficiency and precision of camera calibration. Terminals simulation experiment on PC indicates that the time consuming of parameter iteration reduced from 0.220 seconds to 0.063 seconds (0.234 seconds on mobile terminals) and the average reprojection error reduced from 0.25 pixel to 0.15 pixel. Therefore, the new method is an ideal mobile terminals camera calibration method which can expand the application range of 3D reconstruction and close-range photogrammetry technology on mobile terminals.

  • A new optimal scheme based on curvelet transform is proposed for retinal image enhancement (RIE) using real-coded quantum genetic algorithm. Curvelet transform has better performance in representing edges than classical wavelet transform for its anisotropy and directional decomposition capabilities. For more precise reconstruction and better visualization, curvelet coefficients in corresponding subbands are modified by using a nonlinear enhancement mapping function. An automatic method is presented for selecting optimal parameter settings of the nonlinear mapping function via quantum genetic search strategy. The performance measures used in this paper provide some quantitative comparison among different RIE methods. The proposed method is tested on the DRIVE and STARE retinal databases and compared with some popular image enhancement methods. The experimental results demonstrate that proposed method can provide superior enhanced retinal image in terms of several image quantitative evaluation indexes.
