  • In the wireless communication systems, the demand of multimedia services is also increased. Unlike typical data packets, realtime service such as VoIP packets have delay bound and low loss rate requirement. In this paper we propose a new scheduling algorithm that be able to allocate resources to the different kinds of services such as VoIP and data packet. The proposed algorithm considers both time delay and channel condition toe determine the priority. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm works more efficiently than the conventional algorithms.

  • In this study, a DNC(Distributed Numerical Control) management system is designed that can directly control and manage hybrid CNC machine tools on real-time. And management software is developed to inter-communicate field informations with CNC controllers using an interface processor(Intelligent Multi Communication Board, IMCB). Especially, IMCB supports that DNC system sends and receives part program with CNC controllers in the form of real-time multi-tasking.

  • Suggesting the standard of optimal transferring for one RGV or two RGV, which have multiple buffers, using average delivery time and sigma in the straight line working place. For performing the optimal transferring, present RGV-Job Dispatching algorithm, which is possible to apply in realtime, and apply random job occurrence conditions for examining the possibility to apply various real environments.

  • In this paper, control theoretic approaches are proposed to guarantee QoS (Quality of Series) such as packet delay and packet loss of real-time traffic in high-speed communication network. Characteristics of variable rate real-time traÆc in communication networks are described. The mathematical model describing networks including source and destination nodes are suggested. By a traffic control mechanism, it is shown that worst-case end-to-end transfer delay of traffic can be controlled and packet loss can be prevented. The simulation shows results of delay control and buer level control to raise QoS in realtime traffic.

  • A new methodology is presented to diagnose faults in equipment plasma. This is accomplished by using neural networks as a pattern recognizer of radio frequency(rf) impedance match data. Using a realtime match monitor system, the match data were collected. The monitor system consisted mainly of a multifunction board and a signal flow diagram coded by Visual Designer. Plasma anomaly was effectively represented by electrical match positions. Twenty sets of fault-symptom patterns were experimentally simulated with experimental variations in process factors, which include rf source power, pressure, Ar and O$_2$ flow rates. As the inputs to neural networks, two means and standard deviations of positions were used ...

  • This paper proposes a compliance robot control algorithm using fuzzy adaptive controller and fuzzy compliance vector generator. In the compliance robot control, we need more adaptivity because the linear modeling in robot dynamics is getting more difficult by contact with external environment. Existing adapitive controllers have difficulty in realtime processing. So in order to overcome it, We adopt fuzzy adaptive controller and propose fuzzy compliance vector generator for flexible compliant motion. We analyze and confirm the proposed algorithm by surface processing experiment with a control system implemented by VME system.

  • This paper presents a dynamic resource allocation algorithm with multi-frequency time-division multiple access for the return link of interactive satellite multimedia networks such as digital video broadcasting return channel via satellite systems. The proposed timeslot assignment algorithm, called the very efficient dynamic timeslot assignment (VEDTA) algorithm, gives an optimal assignment plan within a very short period. The optimality and computational efficiency of this algorithm demonstrate that it will be useful in field applications.

  • Most of process data control have been designed under the assumption that there are independence between observed data. However, it has been difficult to apply the traditional method to realtime data because they are autocorrelated, and they are not normally distributed. And the more, they have fluctuating means. Already the control method for these data was proposed by Markov Modulated Gaussian Process. Therefore, this study take into account MMGP's traits especially for the MMGP's autocorrelation.

  • A real-time control strategy is presented for plasma control Rather than in-situ plasma variables, this is based on realtime measurements of two electrical positions that correspond to two match motors. Using the rf match monitor system, the positions were collected. The process of impedance matching was identified with variations in process factors, including rf power, pressure, and O$_2$ flow rate. A state-space model was obtained basing on autoregressive moving average model. For this model, a linear quadratic regulator was designed and applied. Simulation results revealed that match positions could accurately be regulated to follow certain positions arbitrarily chosen.
