The Implementation of the Intelligent Exoskeleton Robot Arm Using ElectroMiogram(EMG) vital Signal (근전도 생체 신호를 이용한 지능형 외골격 로봇팔의 구현)

  • The purpose of this study is to estimate a validity of control signal through a design of Exoskeleton Robot Arm's capable of intelligent recognition as a human arm's motion by using realtime processed data of generated EMG signals. By an intelligent algorithm, the EMG output value of human biceps and triceps muscles contraction can be recognized and used for the control over exoskeleton arm corresponding to human's recognition and judgement. The EMG sensing data of muscles contraction and relaxation are used as the input signal from human's body to operate the Exoskeleton Robot Arm thus copying human arm motion. An intelligent control of Exoskeleton Robot Arm is to design the analog control circuit which processes the input data, and then to manufacture an integrated control board. And then abstracted signal is passed by DSP signal processing, Fuzzy logic algorithm is designed for a accurate prediction of weight or load through the intelligent algorithm, and design an Exoskeleton Robot Arm to express a human's intention.

  • In the paper, velocity controller of switching module and temperature controller for the high-voltage static var compensator are proposed. Because of the continuous increase in demand for electric power, transmission and distribution facilities of power plant are required. There is a bottleneck problem of transportation routes according to new construction and expansion of power transmission facilities. Therefore there are researches to maximize the utilization of existing facilities and to increase transmission capacity without new construction. The previous static var compensator detects voltage of input circuit of power, switches the SCR directly and generates switching noise. The proposed method increases switching velocity and decreases noise using switching control based on the voltage between both sides of SCR. Also the proposed method enhance the stability using realtime temperature control for heating of the system from increase of switching velocity. We experiment the velocity and temperature control of the proposed high-voltage static var compensator in the real environment and verify the performance of the proposed system by applying in the real field.

  • In this paper, we implemented the smart door lock system that control remotely devices using the concept of internet of things. Internet of things is intelligent system that can help devices to communicate with people and devices. And recently internet of things is getting attention because of advance of hardware technology and big data. The smart doorlock system based on internet of things used raspberry pi, sensor and doorlock. Using the smart phone, doorlock can be controlled from the raspberry pi server. And the user can identify some people that is in front of doorlock. also user can check around of doorlock in realtime using the raspberry pi camera.

  • A datawarehouse is generally used in organizations for decision and policy making. And In a distribute environment when a new system is added, there needs considerable amount of time and cost due to the difference between the systems. Therefore, to solve this matter. Firstly, heterogeneous data structures can be handled by creating abstract queries according to the standard schema and by separating the queries using XMDR. Secondly, metadata dictionary which defines synonyms of metadata and methods for data expression is used to overcome difference of definition and expression of data. Especially, work presented in this thesis provides standardized information for data integration and minimizing the effects of integration on local systems in discrete environments using XMDR to create information of data warehouse in realtime.

  • As smart phone is daily used by most people, various location-based applications have been developed. Moreover, it is increased the requirements of location-based services that utilize Google maps, GPS sensing information and etc.. In this paper, we develop a smart phone application providing notification services by detecting the daily route deviation. We develop the server system which receives GPS information gathering from user's smart phone and analyse the user's regular routes. With the results from the analyzation the GPS coordinates, the application on a smart phone detects the case of a breakaway from regular routes. And then it can inform automatically and immediately the designed person such as guardians of children or the old and the infirm of the route deviation so will be helpful to protect such person. This is one example of the effectiveness of the application. Moreover, the application is developed on the client-server framework, thus it is very useful to judge the user's daily route deviation in realtime by using the accumulated information on the corresponding DB. Finally we evaluated the proposed methods which had been implemented on smart phones and show the utilities of the application.

  • The business environment of enterprises could be difficult to obviate redundancy to filtrate data source occurred on data integrated to standard rules and meta-data and to produce integration of data and single viewer in geographical and spatial distributed environment. Specially, To can interchange various data from a heterogeneous system or various applications without types and forms and synchronize continually exactly integrated information#s is of paramount concern. Therefore data hub system based on SQL/XMDR message to overcome a problem of meaning interoperability occurred on exchanging or jointing between each legacy systems are proposed in this paper. This system use message mapping technique of query transform system to maintain data modified in real-time on cooperating data. It can consistently maintain data modified in realtime on exchanging or jointing data for cooperating legacy systems, it improve clarity and availability of data by providing a single interface on data retrieval.

A 3D Terrain Reconstruction System using Navigation Information and Realtime-Updated Terrain Data (항법정보와 실시간 업데이트 지형 데이터를 사용한 3D 지형 재구축 시스템)

  • A terrain is an essential element for constructing a virtual world in which game characters and objects make various interactions with one another. Creating a terrain requires a great deal of time and repetitive editing processes. This paper presents a 3D terrain reconstruction system to create 3D terrain in virtual space based on real terrain data. In this system, it converts the coordinate system of the height maps which are generated from a stereo camera and a laser scanner from global GPS into 3D world using the x and z axis vectors of the global GPS coordinate system. It calculates the movement vectors and the rotation matrices frame by frame. Terrain meshes are dynamically generated and rendered in the virtual areas which are represented in an undirected graph. The rendering meshes are exactly created and updated by correcting terrain data errors. In our experiments, the FPS of the system was regularly checked until the terrain was reconstructed by our system, and the visualization quality of the terrain was reviewed. As a result, our system shows that it has 3 times higher FPS than other terrain management systems with Quadtree for small area, improves 40% than others for large area. The visualization of terrain data maintains the same shape as the contour of real terrain. This system could be used for the terrain system of realtime 3D games to generate terrain on real time, and for the terrain design work of CG Movies.

  • Purpose : To develop a practical film dosimetry system for routine Quality Assurance (QA). Materials and Methods :An One Click Film (OCF) Dosimetry system was designed to perform swift routine QA with functions including automatic fog value elimination, angle adjustment, automatic symmetry calculation, and realtime profile generation with the ability to display realtime three-dimensional dose distributions. Results : The most frequently used functions for routine QA, such as the elimination of the fog value, conversion into an H&D curve, symmetry, and isodose distribution, can be achieved with only one click. Conclusion : Reliable results were achieved with the OCF dosimetry with simpler steps than other commercially available film dosimetry systems for routine QA. More research on the refined user interface will make this system be clinically useful.

  • We face problems from excessive information served with websites in this rapidly changing information era. We find little information useful and much useless and spend a lot of time to select information needed. Many websites including search engines use web crawling in order to make data updated. Web crawling is usually used to generate copies of all the pages of visited sites. Search engines index the pages for faster searching. With regard to data collection for wholesale and order information changing in realtime, the keyword-oriented web data collection is not adequate. The alternative for selective collection of web information in realtime has not been suggested. In this paper, we propose a method of collecting information of restricted web sites by using Web crawling distributed monitoring system (R-WCMS) and estimating collection time through detailed analysis of data and storing them in parallel system. Experimental results show that web site information retrieval is applied to the proposed model, reducing the time of 15-17%.

  • Owing to developments in the internet of things, many products have developed and various researches have processed. Smart home systems in Internet of things area are receiving attention from many people than the other areas. Autonomous mobile robots perform various parts in many industries. In this paper, a smart housekeeping robot was implemented using internet of things and an autonomous mobile robot. In order to make a smart housekeeping robot, Raspberry Pi, wireless USB camera, and uBrain robot of Huins Corp. is used. To control the robot, cell-phone connected with IP of Raspberry Pi, and then Raspberry Pi connected with uBrain robot using Bluetooth. a smart housekeeping robot was controlled using commands of a cell-phone application. If some user wants to move a robot automatically, we implemented that a robot can be chosen an autonomous driving mode from the user. In addition, we checked a realtime video using a cell-phone and computer. This smart housekeeping robot can help user check their own homes in real time.
