고정반복법에 의한 암시적 HHT 시간적분법을 이용한 철근콘크리트 골조구조물의 실시간 하이브리드실험 (Real-Time Hybrid Testing Using a Fixed Iteration Implicit HHT Time Integration Method for a Reinforced Concrete Frame)

  • 고정반복법에 의한 암시적 HHT 시간적분법을 이용하여 3층 3경간 철근콘크리트 골조구조물을 수치해석모형과 물리적 분구조모형으로 나누어 실시간 하이브리드실험을 실시하였다. 물리적 부분구조모형으로는 1층 내부 비연성기둥 1개소가 선택되었고, 수치해석모형에 일축 방향의 지진하중을 시편이 심한 손상에 의하여 파괴에 이를 때까지 작용시켰다. 비선형 유한요소해석 프로그램인 Mercury가 실시간 하이브리드실험을 위하여 새로이 개발 및 적용되었다. 실험결과는 물리적 부분구조모형의 상부 수평방향 층간변위비를 OpenSees에 의한 수치해석시뮬레이션과 진동대실험의 그것과 비교하였다. 본 실험은 가장 복잡한 실시간 하이브리드실험 중의 하나이고, 하드웨어, 알고리즘 그리고 모형에 대한 기술적인 내용을 본 논문에 자세히 설명하였다. 수치해석모형의 개선, 물리적 부분구조 모형 접선강성행렬의 유한요소해석 프로그램에서의 평가 그리고 하중기반 보-요소의 요소상태결정의 연산시간을 줄이기 위한 소프트웨어의 개선이 이루어진다면 실시간 하이브리드실험과 진동대실험결과의 비교는 권장할 만하다. 그리고 "지진과 같은 동적하중하의 복잡한 구조물의 수치해석시뮬레이션"이라는 목적을 위하여 실시간 하이브리드실험은 동적하중에 대한 실험적 검증을 점진적으로 수치해석모형으로 대체하기 위한 저비용-고효율 실험법으로서의 가치를 충분히 가지고 있다고 할 수 있다.

퍼지추론을 적용한 직물 애니메이션 (Real Time Textile Animation Using Fuzzy Inference)

  • 본 연구는 질량-스프링 모델 기반의 직물 모델에서 질점의 움직임을 분석하여 실시간 직물 애니메이션이 가능한 퍼지 추론 기법을 제안한다. 지금까지 직물과 같은 탄성체를 표현하기 위한 많은 기법들은 질량-스프링 모델을 사용하였다. 직물은 다수의 질량과 스프링의 조합으로 구성되어 변형 가능한 면을 이루게되고, 면의 움직임은 운동법칙을 기반으로 수치적분을 통해 계산될 수 있다. 제안된 방법과 동일한 직물구조에서 Explicit 오일러 방법은 ${\Delta}t$ > 0.01 일 경우 불안정성 문제가 나타났으며, Implicit 오일러 방법은 ${\Delta}t$ = 0.03 에서도 애니메이션이 생성되지만 많은 양의 선형 시스템을 계산해야 하는 단점을 가지고 있어서 실시간 처리에 부적합하다. 본 연구는 질량-스프링 모델에서 질점의 움직임을 계산하기 위하여 ${\Delta}t$ = 0.03을 가지면서도 실시간 처리가 가능한 방법을 제안한다.

SAT#1 (Preliminary Integration) Test Results of KASS System

  • According to the Korea Augmentation Satellite System (KASS) system milestone, Site Acceptance Test (SAT) has three steps test until the end of the project. SAT#1 is the first time of SAT steps and verify the KASS Reference Station (KRS) and Sub System (S/S) for the monitoring and controllable. After the equipment and software were installed at the Mission Control Center (MCC) with Central Monitoring and Control Simulator (CMS) for the SAT#1, the 1:1 test was progressed when the KRS and S/S are ready to test. SAT#1 has a 10 steps test case and it was progressed each KRS sites. The test was finished throughout the real-time monitoring and the data collection including the data analysis all of the 7 KRS sites. Finally SAT#1 was completed on December 2020 with successfully.

  • To interactively share High Definition (HD)-quality visualization over emerging ultra-high-speed network infrastructure, several lossless and low-delay real-time media (i.e., uncompressed HD video and audio) transport systems are being designed and prototyped. However, most of them still rely on expensive hardware components. As an effort to reduce the building cost of system, in this paper, we propose the integration of both transmitter and receiver machines into a single bi-directional transport system. After detailed bottleneck analysis and subsequent refinements of embedded software components, the proposed integration can provide Real-time Transport Protocol (RTP)-based bi-directional transport of uncompressed HD video and audio from a single machine. We also explain how to interface the Gbps-bandwidth display output of uncompressed HD media system to the networked tiled display of 10240 $\times$ 3200 super-high-resolution. Finally, to verify the feasibility of proposed integration, several prototype systems are built and evaluated by operating them in several different experiment scenarios.

Dynamic Model of PEM Fuel Cell Using Real-time Simulation Techniques

  • The increased integration of fuel cells with power electronics, critical loads, and control systems has prompted recent interest in accurate electrical terminal models of the polymer electrolyte membrane (PEM) fuel cell. Advancement in computing technologies, particularly parallel computation techniques and various real-time simulation tools have allowed the prototyping of novel apparatus to be investigated in a virtual system under a wide range of realistic conditions repeatedly, safely, and economically. This paper builds upon both advancements and provides a means of optimized model construction boosting computation speeds for a fuel cell model on a real-time simulator which can be used in a power hardware-in-the-loop (PHIL) application. Significant improvement in computation time has been achieved. The effectiveness of the proposed model developed on Opal RT's RT-Lab Matlab/Simulink based real-time engineering simulator is verified using experimental results from a Ballard Nexa fuel cell system.

  • Real-Time Hybrid Testing (RTHT) requires the numerical substructure calculations to be completed within the defined integration time interval due to its real-time loading demands. For solving the problem, A Real-Time Hybrid Testing based on Restart-Loading Technology (RTHT-RLT) is proposed in this paper. In the proposed method, in case of the numerical substructure calculations cannot be completed within the defined integration time interval, the experimental substructure was returned back to the initial state statically. When the newest loading commands were calculated by the numerical substructure, the experimental substructure was restarted loading from the initial state to the newest loading commands so as to precisely disclosing the dynamic performance of the experimental substructure. Firstly, the methodology of the RTHT-RLT is proposed. Furthermore, the numerical simulations and experimental tests on one frame structure with a viscous damper are conducted for evaluating the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed RTHT-RLT. It is shown that the proposed RTHT-RLT innovatively renders the nonreal-time refined calculation of the numerical substructure feasible for the RTHT. The numerical and experimental results show that the proposed RTHT-RLT exhibits excellent performance in terms of stability and accuracy. The proposed RTHT-RLT may have broad application prospects for precisely investigating the dynamic behavior of large and complex engineering structures with specific experimental substructure where a restarting procedure does not affect the relevant hysteretic response.

Design and Implementation of Advanced Traffic Monitoring System based on Integration of Data Stream Management System and Spatial DBMS

  • The real-time traffic data is generated continuous and unbounded stream data type while intelligent transport system (ITS) needs to provide various and high quality services by combining with spatial information. Traditional database techniques in ITS has shortage for processing dynamic real-time stream data and static spatial data simultaneously. In this paper, we design and implement an advanced traffic monitoring system (ATMS) with the integration of existed data stream management system (DSMS) and spatial DBMS using IntraMap. Besides, the developed ATMS can deal with the stream data of DSMS, the trajectory data of relational DBMS, and the spatial data of SDBMS concurrently. The implemented ATMS supports historical and one time query, continuous query and combined query. Application programmer can develop various intelligent services such as moving trajectory tracking, k-nearest neighbor (KNN) query and dynamic intelligent navigation by using components of the ATMS.

  • In multibody dynamic analysis, one of the most important problems is to reduce computation times for real-time simulation. This paper presents the derivation procedure of equations of motion of a 6${\times}$6 autonomous vehicle in terms of chassis local coordinates which do not require coordinates transformation matrix to enhance efficiency for real-time dynamic analysis. Also, equations of motion are derived using the VT(velocity transformation) technique and symbolic computation method coded by MATLAB. The Jacobian matrix of the equations of motion of a system is derived from symbolic operations to apply the implicit integration method. The analysis results were compared with ADAMS results to verify the accuracy and approve the feasibility of real time analysis.

  • This paper presents a design of the real-time preprocessor for CMOS image sensor suitable to the digital camera applications. CMOS image sensor offers some advantages in on-chip integration, system power reduction, and low cost. However, it has a lower-quality image than CCDs. We describe an image enhancement algorithm, which includes color interpolation, color correction, gamma correction, sharpening, and automatic exposure control, to compensate for this disadvantage, and present its efficient hardware architecture to implement on the real-time processor. The presented real-time preprocessor was designed using VHDL, and it contains about 19.2K logic gates. We also implement our system on FPGA chips in order to provide the real-time adjustment and it was successfully tested.

  • 본 논문에서는 CAN네트워크와 Profibus 네트워크를 통합하기 위한 통합 프로토콜 게이트웨이를 설계, 구현하였다. CAN/Profibus 네트워크를 통합하기 위하여 스위칭이더넷을 백본 네트워크로 사용하였고, 각각의 필드버스 네트워크는 CAN/Ethernet 및 Profibus/Ethernet 게이트웨이를 이용하여 이더넷 스위치에 연결되며, 각 게이트웨이는 필드버스 프레임과 이더넷 프레임 사이의 변환을 수행한다. 또, 스위칭 이더넷 환경에서 게이트웨이 사이에 분산 경성 실시간 스케줄링 알고리즘을 적용하여 메시지의 실시간성을 만족할 수 있게 하였다. CAN/Ethernet 및 Profibus/Ethernet 게이트웨이 구현을 위해 실시간 메시지 전송을 지원하는 리눅스 2.6.31.12 Real-Time Patch 버전을 사용하였고, 실제 구현을 통해 메시지의 성공적인 변환과 실시간성을 확인할 수 있었다.
